i think it is all disgusting. starting with this one and the joli-pitt saga. let's sensationalize teen pregnancy and non-committal people who cheat on spouses. ok should be ashamed of this photo op. not everyone has the $$ this fool does. at least her big sis got married

Whose to say that she will be a bad mother like her older sister. NO ONE. After all she has seen with Britney her chances of going down the same road isn't very likely. And newflash Teen Pregnancy is EVERYWHERE. Teens have babies because they are too scared to talk to their parents because everyone is like you three. Sex is bad. Babies are bad. But in all reality it isn't. You are just trying to scare the kids, and all it does is make them close up and not come to you when they need that protection so they don't have babies if they decide to have sex. Teen pregnancy is going to become acceptable over the next 10-15 years. It isn't something that can be changed. And actually is is okay for people who don't have the "Spears" last name too. If you have the right support and occasional help any situation can work out for the best. Stop being so negative and actually have some faith in someone.

This does glamorize teen pregnancy. Jamie is a teen idol. She makes it look as if sex outside of marriage is cool and having a baby is a piece of cake. We should be reminding teens of the potentially deadly disease that can be contracted from having unprotected sex. What about the money it costs to raise a child? Jamie sure doesn't have to worry about that, but every other average teen girl does. I am so sick and tired of my 13 and 16 year old girls being bombarded with trash like this.

I personally am angered by the glamorization, yes let's call it what it is. I am in a postition to pass judgement having become a mom at 18. Yes, her circumstances are different but tastefully and carefully handled or not, it still sends a bad message. Perhaps OK magazine will do a follow-up story showing the real side of teen pregnancy, which is the everyday struggle to survive and provide a home for you and the child without endorsements, millions and other support.

WAKE UP WORLD YOUR TEENS ARE HAVING SEX WHILE YOUR SLEEPING! QUICK GET THE BIRTH-CONTROL PILLS OUT!....if this is the way we have to go then its for their own good.

Just because 'everyone' is doing it, doesn't ever make it right. Teens should not be having sex.

I echo the sentiments before who say, Spears is not the normal teen pregnancy. SHE'S RICH! She has money and nannies to be a mother only when it is convenient. Putting her on the cover is bad. It definitely sends the wrong message for impressionable teenagers who believe they are invincible anyway. So why? Why put her on the cover. To glamorize it?
OK Magazine is doing a fine job defending their position, but a poor job of answering the 'Why' questions. And the biggest 'Why' question of all is, why are you lavishing her with money and attention? This only equals glamorization. That is how the public is interpreting it, because that is the way OK Magazine has presented it. If they didn't want to glamorize the situation Jamie Lynn wouldn't be on the cover. True?

who cares? she's a rich little girl and can do whatever she wants and it's okay, hopefully other 17 year olds won't follow in her footsteps - is she going to finish high school? she couldn't have already since she gave birth at 17. i know she has her own show but does she have a brain and does she use it? we all know everyone can have sex and have a baby - she may be very lucky in the fact that she is already rich - hopefully her other half will stay with her - 17 is really young to hope to hold onto the father of her child - she will grow up and so will the father and maybe they'll stay together and maybe they won't. I am jealous of course, I have lived my life in turmoil and been broke since day one of my first child at 21. my husband lost his job right after he was born and it has been downhill ever since. probably should have gotten divorced but he loves me and our children - he can't make enough money to support us and our last child was born with cerebral palsy - life has been very difficult and even though I have this "great" career as a paralegal I can't find a good attorney to work for. Still broke and it's heartbreaking to me that a 17 year old has everything in the world and hardly had to struggle ever a day in her life and I've lived check to check and still do and still can't make it. I bought a house due to the fact that a very good friend of mine wanted out of hers and sold it to me for nothing and I lived in what was becoming a terribly violent town with police at the schools 24/7 and I had to get my kids out of there - but because my credit was bad my mortgage is kind of high for the amount I borrowed. I'm tired of hearing about all these rich girls with more money than they know what to do with and how i can barely afford milk for my kids. I would like the kids today to know that just because life is easy for her with her new home and child - 99% of the people in the world do not have that kind of fortune to be able to just live. I wish her the best and I hope she stays as happy as she seems to be right now. I may be bitter b/c my own life sucks but I love my kids and wouldn't give them up for anything in the world, just wish I could have given them a better life.

OK! magazine is glamorizing this unfortunate girls poor discision to have unprotected sex at a young age. The people who run these magazines could care less about the public. There only concern is the dollars they make by justifying these unfortunate childrens mistakes. There are only victims where teenage pregnancy is concerned. The biggest victime is the innocent children borne to these irresponsible people.

There are two issues here that is just repelling. This is just another amazingly tasteless attempt to increase the sales of magazines, especially at a time when the vitality of print is dwindling. It does glorify teen pregnancy and why do we continue to allow the media to do so? Well, that's simple and sad...for the money.

I think that a new baby in the world is a blessing. Do our children need to be taught better? Yes. But they also need to be supported when this happens. I do not think that it is any of our business to judge her. She had sex (most high school age people do.) Most of the people on her judging her did not make it through your teenage years with you virginity still intact. You were just "luck" enough not to get pregnant. Let her live her life. And the next time you forbid your daughter from watching Jamie Lynn???s tv show think about the reasons why as you give them money to go see the latest Lindsey Lohan movie and ask yourself who is worse. Don???t be a hypocrite.

and to add to my earlier comment....most "normal" people don't have tons of money to pay other people to take care of their special needs child when your about to go insane yourself....her and her sister are both spoiled brats.....Try doing a story on a "normal" person so other teens and young moms can see BOTH the UPsides and Downsides of being a parent.....Instead of making the rich and priveledged even more so by wasting $1million dollars....try putting that million to better use to help those not as fortuneate as those spoiled brats.

GREAT!!! Just what I need. Another Mag. telling my daughter it's ok to have kids while she is still a kid herself. Thanks OK Mag. for making my job as a Father a lot HARDER. I wonder, If this was any other girl and not a celeberity, wouldn't someone be crying for the guy to be arrested. Just asking!

No, certainly Jamie Lynn Spears will not be
the last pregnant teen, however, glamorizing teen pregnancy, when you were a teen icon, that is disturbing! She has VERY young girls that idolize her,and she should have made a statement about how difficult life as a teen mom will be, of course, I am certain that Jamie Lynn as a teen Mom,has a far more easier life than the fans who come from trailer parks who can live off of public assistance and WIC. And who cannot afford nannies and such.It is far more realistic that teen pregnancy and teenage motherhood is an uphill battle! The Spears family have taken every opportunity to sensationalize negative actions and it is disgusting! The fact that people are buying the OK magazine with the story makes me ill as well..... Why do we even offer up the notion of giving them more publicity??? RIDICULOUS!

This magazine knows that they are glamorizing teen pregnancy and they don't care. All the justification concerning this young ladies job and finances do not escape the fact that she is an unmarried teenage mother who is headed down the path of her unfortunate sister.

this TOTALLY glamorizes teen pregnancy! this LITTLE GIRL is a role model for MILLIONS of little girls all over america and probably other countries too! it doesn't matter that her show was cancelled! she was still on a hit show and kids liked her! now they'll see a girl, young like them, has had a baby and they'll think, "if she can do it, i can too! look how cute and happy she looks!"

if you condone what this LITTLE GIRL has done you are probably an unfit parent. i'm not trying to be mean, but, come on...use your brain. this is not the kind of story that little impressionable girls need to see.

Magazines make money by spinning controversy. Actors make money by acting, who are paid by the studios that hire them who make money by selling advertising, who make money by selling their overpriced, often unhealthy products to the rest of the population. Using either the actor or the magazine as a moral compass confuses morality and commerce. If you don't want to see it, don't read it or watch it. This is not a commentary on morality in America so much as to the lows that magazines like OK! will stoop to in order to reel in a voyeurist audience. Stop letting your kids watch Disney and Nickelodeon. There is no shame in shutting off the television and handing the kids a book. Or spending time with them. She's only famous because people watch television and read gossip magazines.
