What Hypocrisy The same people that talk about John Mcain's age are the ones that would be knocking at your door if you even mention age during a job interview!

This is really something, who gives a hoot what the Vietnamese people want. I am really shocked they prefer Senator Mccain. Funny, really funny. Of course they will support him as a way to further seek his forgiveness for their years of emotional pain and torture during his POW time. Please give me better coverage, please. Newsweek should be beyond this kind of crap. What's next? Kenyans and Indonesians prefer Obama for president? Unreal!
Well this was an interesting article about what really happened while McCain was POW. That he knows what its like to suffer is undisputable. But for some reason I trust him less than I trust Obama. I personally wish Obama had the military experience McCain does, but I can't bring myself to vote Republican. Sorry. 8 years is too freaking long. And to be honest, I think Obama would make a better with diplomacy. McCain has already demonstrated flying off at the mouth....which is precisely what George W. did at the onset of this war.
I was in the military too. Who knows, I may be drafted one day if things continue forever and ever (like I think they will). I want someone who isn't about wanting a new "Glory Day" from a failed past. Sorry, but being a POW means you failed your mission.
Exactly!!
http://www.vvof.org/mccain_hides.htm - The War Secrets Sen. John McCain Hides
Former POW Fights Public Access to POW/MIA Files
"But there was one subject that was off-limits, a subject the Arizona senator almost never brings up and has never been open about ??? his long-time opposition to releasing documents and information about American prisoners of war in Vietnam and the missing in action who have still not been accounted for. Since McCain himself, a downed Navy pilot, was a prisoner in Hanoi for 5 1/2 years, his staunch resistance to laying open the POW/MIA records has baffled colleagues and others who have followed his career. Critics say his anti-disclosure campaign, in close cooperation with the Pentagon and the intelligence community, has been successful. Literally thousands of documents that would otherwise have been declassified long ago have been legislated into secrecy."
Hmmmm..... After being captured, he cooperates w/ the N. Vietnamese in spreading anti-US propaganda. He reveals military stategies and US troop locations. After release, he has his records sealed and leads an "anti-disclosure" campaign only affecting HIS files.
Hmmmm.....Once in office, he increases Vietnamese funding by $10.5 billion.
"Manchurian candidate".......................anyone?
If I was Vietnamese, I'd vote for him, too!!!!!!!
G.W.BUSH year 2001 tactics of Pandering, bluffing and Fools the Americans ......Success.....Year 2004 tactics of FEARS and LIES ......Peanut.......So Expects the Same from the Republican Master of LIES,John MCsame try to elmulates so he EXPECTS American to be FOOLS again and again.
a nobody? I think not. i am a Nam viet. my brothers served. some died. some were wounded. some are scared for life. they are still my nam brothers and deserve my support. John MCain Grumpy OLD man doesnt knows ,wait a minute where is Liberman?Find Me that Guy,weither Im saying is Correct! Im total Lost Did I already send him to Belarus??
Look who's talking about not being able to use a PC. And McCain has been in the Senate for over 30 years, Bush has been Pres for 71/2. How the hell did he vote the same as Bush 95% of the time? It's an impossibility. You people are idiots, get your facts right before you spout off at the mouth on issues you know nothing about!
OK he's voted the republician party line 95% of the time and voted with bush 95% of the time...yes he's been in the senate for 30 years and did nothing...why do you think floks call him McSame...If your happy with bush (about 28%) and like things to stay the same then vote for McSame
Something seriously wrong? You bet, and it isn't McCain! It is this Hollywood mag rag called Newsweek. Ever thing they print about McCain has a negative slant to it, and everything they print about Obama has a BIG POSTIVE SLANT to it. They try to disguise it, by interviewing people from counties like North Vietnam who have nothing but good things to say about McCain giving the impression of McCain maybe having made "friends" when he was imprisoned. Golly-Gee, I am so confused, I wonder who Newsweek is backing in this presidential election!!
This article doesn't have a negative slant. I think it shows McCain as a forgiving man gracious to his former captors. He trumpets his sojourn in Vietnam at times and yet is recluse about it at times. I think this shows that he is a nuanced man, not like the simple minded George Bush.
Newsweek shold just call its self OBAMAWEEK.
What has Obama done to any of you that you hate him so. At the rate of your hate any crackpot out there could try to kill the man or his wife at anytime. Is this what you all are aiming for.Do not vot for him if you do not want, but hate that is a very strong evil word. You say Obama is dangerous, I wonder who is more so.
Vietnam wants President McCain, but the international community does too, except for the MidEast that would be engaged under McCain to seek peace with Israel and actively terminate its terrorism. Of course, America will vote for John because of his long and dedicated service to the United States of America. We see in John peace, prosperity, and security for our Nation and the world.
Your a RepubliCult! You say with McWar we would have peace, well this is how two-faced RepubliCultist are. McWAR IS WILLING TO HAVE 100 YEARS OF WAR!
now the big flip floper wants to take our Social Security....john says he's for war(100 years in Iraq) and says the economy is his weak suite he did not do his job in Vietnam (got shot down)...has lots to hide ...nope I think America is ready for a change...the old ways don't work and the old man (72) has no new ideas in his LONG AND DEDICATED SERVICE to the United States he's done nothing ....he has 29 years odf nothing..just votes the way bush wants him to...he's not a maverick he's voted with bush 95% of the time...some maverick...
Who cares what these Vietnamese think about McCain, our election process or anything else. I served in Vietnam and I certainly don't.
well put thank you [no insult] honest reply!
Now they see the huge profits in Americas outsourcing and want to be a country we use to do so. So again what good is it?? Greed, as it was when they wanted money for POWs and MIAs,show me the money is there credo and has been from day one. Well at least Phol Pot died in Saudi a few back, so his wall of skulls can be a tourist attraction??? Not to mention Herion use was at .001% before we opened relations up again, now it at 15% and growing, mmm, wounder why, is the trail open again,Mr CIA?? Why McCain, cause he will REFUSE to see this till it's to late, and 20% of American companies are based there to dodge American taxes, like waterboarding, global warming, it's not real??? Gee by the looks of this, if Bin-Lauden wanted to vote, he would vote for McCain too, thus big news on the political front. More people in the world want McCain, but they are all the bad guys! So i guess it's ok to follow them blindly, as Americans hu?? Sounds like the same bull they used to broadcast to demoralize our troops, in Nam, Korea,WWII,WWI, doesn't take a moron to connect the dots! AGAIN!
I live in Saigon and can I tell you that this article is nonsense. Ordinary Vietnamese know very little about McCain and they certainly don't "love" him. The U.S. election converage here has focused on the Hillary vs Obama battle. I think the official press doesn't know quite what to say about McCain, so they don't say much. When Vietnamese find out I am American, the next question is often who will I vote for. I tell them both candidates are so terrible that I don't understand why people are voting for either one.
stop now this is bribery hey where were they last election or the one before just a another bunch of bigot's
Where were who and what bribery are you refering to and who are the bigots????????????????
Americans Loves the Country going BURST instead of Truth.....Great !!! many American Financial Instuitions going to be Burst More NEWS comming soon..........VOTE for literate and Uneducated John MC Cain.America going in DRAIN Year by Year.....

Some people as a result of the
Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush Economic policies are doing
well
"EXTREMELY WELL"
LETS SEE 3,030,000 PEOPLE In the USA "DOING EXTREMELY
WELL"
270,000,000 People in the USA"DOING EXTREMELY BAD"
Which group are you in?
Where your vote lies is where you are on the economic
ladder? REALLY?
Wait here is some very impressive numbers the 3
trillion dollar invasion/occupation is costing every
family in America 48K to 50k, which is providing
500,000 thousand dollars in aid for every man, woman
and child living in Iraq with 40% of the funds used to
finance the invasion/occupation is from off shoe
lenders. thats the money part of the equation which is
not good.
The lives lost equations is 4000 + of our most brave
Americans being palyed as pawns in some very wickedly
sick rich people's chess game. That equates to 11
armed service personal being killed in Iraq every day.
This does not include the staggering amounts of death,
of the Iraqi people.
And we can take it one step further
Let us take the people in the USA who live on the
poverty level of the economic step ladder.
In the year 2000 there were 27 mil people living in
poverty with about an average of 27 children dieing
every day because of that fact. that equates to 9855
child dead every year in the USA so lets take that
even further roughly about 49275 since the begining of
the invasion/occupation. But that number could
possibly be even higher since we now have 35 mil
people who live in poverty today, in The USA.
Now we all must all be just deaf, dumb and blind
either by choice, ignorance or lack of information by
main stream media.
Or let us just look at a simple thing as bridges in
disrepair in The USA
Of the country's nearly 600,000 bridges, 26% were
found structurally deficient or "functionally
obsolete" in a 2006 U.S. Department of Transportation
report. (That equates to 156,000) The condition of
heavily used urban bridges like the one that collapsed
Minn. is even worse: one in three are classified as
aging or unable to accommodate modern vehicle weights
and traffic volume.
We don't have the funds to fix our bridges and our
roads in direpair.
What are we building in Iraq? Roads, Bridges, Green
Zones?
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....I'm waiting for the abridged version...nice soporific...better than Sominex.
