For the love of God, Obama did not swear in on the Qu'ran. Where do you get this?!

I will say what it seems that no one else is saying though: Being a Muslim is NOT a bad thing. In all this discussion about religion, I think it is important to remember that Islam, Christianity, and the other major faiths are wonderful doctrines for a moral life when they're not put into practice by fundamentalists who will judge others like the Almighty Himself...and then throw stones at anyone who does not "see the light." It will be a great day when separation of church and state is fully realized, this evil inter-religious fundamentalism is quelled, and it doesn't matter what religion our leaders practice.

Barak Hussein Obama's family is one-half Moslem. These relatives of his today live in Africa. These are not ancient ancesters decended 300 years ago from a similar ancester. They are his uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and cousins. Obama has stated in print that if a conflict developed between Moslem culture and Christian culture, he would stand with the Moslems. What does it take? The man may be legal citizen of the USA, but it is an accidental citizenship. Culturally he is a foreigner.

. Christianity is more than a religion to those of us who are believers in Christ. I wish for all of us to know Him. To believe in Christ does mean to accept Him and his Word as the whole truth and the only truth. In our society, we are expected to accept that there is no absolute truths and that everyone can believe how they want and that is truth to them. God has given us all the freedom to chose, but that doesn't mean everyone is right. That would be chaos! It sounds like Mr. Obama has accepting some of God's truths in Jesus Christ. I will be praying for him to truly seek Him in all matters. It sounds like he does truly mean well and want to help others. I hope he will truly do that with God's guidance even when it is not the popular thing to do. Sometimes standing up for God's principles that are found in the Bible are not popular in our society today. Christianity isn't a faith to condemn people but to help people find the truth and have peace in their lives and meaning. I could go on about some of things that Obama has supported that are in direct opposition to Christian principles, but if he is praying for God's guidance, God will show him. I hope we all all pray for our nation!

There have been many great and inspirational religious leaders throughout time. I think most faith-based religions share same/like teachings. Religious preferences are not character-revealing by label alone. It is the path that each man chooses to *walk* vs. the shadow a man claims to walk within, that depicts real contributions to others in this lifetime.

You can either choose to be duped by all the discourse intended to obfuscate the true character of Obama's religion, OR make an objective appraisal based on your own intelligence of the historical facts which are irrefutable. Obama is neither Christian nor Muslim. Unless he has had one of his very frequent epiphanies in the last week or two, he is a disciple and practitioner of Black Liberation Theology whose tenants have been amply articulated by Jeremiah Wright and James Cone. For 20yrs. Obama, under the tutorial of the fanatical Reverend Wright, immersed himself and his family in Black Liberation Theology, a Marxist derivative which rejects Christianity; and, which professes that the White race is equivalent to the Devil. It's amazing that anyone would be shocked at Obama's perverted view of the Bible. Rev. Wright's mentor, Black Liberation theologian, James Cone, in his book "For My People" states: "The Christian faith does not possess in its nature the means for analyzing the structure of capitalism. Marxism, as a tool of social analysis, can disclose the gap between appearance and reality, and thereby help Christians to see how things really are." It is this logic, reinforced by his mother who was an avowed Marxist, which has schooled Obama to seek economic parity in America thru income redistribution; i.e. Marxist Socialism; and, is an overriding theme of his campaign. Further, noone should be surprised at Obama's proclamation that American is NOT a Christian Nation. Although the Obama campaign has painstakingly attempted to lay a smokescreen to confuse the past religious associations of their candidate, hopefully a Christian America will send Obama an unmistakable message in November. It's what you get with an un-vetted candidate whose only skill is reciting a text from a teleprompter while even Jesse Jackson admits Obama arrogantly looks down his nose and "talks down to the audience." A characteristic which was front and center in Obama's comments about bitter folks in Small Town America who "Cling to their religion." Greg Neubeck

The definition of a christian is "Christ like." Jesus declared "I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me." He is the only way. One cannot claim to be christian and think that a christian life is a smorgasborg of choosing what you want to believe from all walks of life. You believe the entire bible and it's teachings or you don't. Obama is confused and so are those following. I have yet to find a jellyfish that could walk on water.

Obama saying he is a christian is like Hitler saying he loved Jews. A true christian will tell everyone that Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven. There is no other way by which man can be saved except through faith in Jesus Christ. If Obama is President welcome to Jimmy Carter's second term. Black unemployment went to 21%, taxes were at 70% for the rich. Uncontrolled Government spending. Obama claims to be a christian but will allow a baby to be born to the neck and then aborted, doesn't sound like something Jesus would do. Just for the record, faith in Christ is the only road to heaven! If Obama's mom never took that raod she is suffering in hell!
