What???s significant, but which NEVER will be highlighted in a political campaign is that Obama developed his moral vision -- his ideals of working for the poor and striving for justice rather than the large salaries made possible by his education ??? long before he became a Christian. He got these values, from his secular humanist, non-religious upbringing. Being a Christian was politically essential for his career, but Obama is certainly one politician who knows that non-believers can be highly moral and great idealists.

I find that it is strange that we are even discussing this. Since Obama's reliegion is sanctioned by the constitution and is not posing a threat to the United States, what ever has happened to "Freedom of Religion" in this country. Not all christians adhere to the tenents of Christianity, nor do all muslims, or Islamic adhere to the tenents of their faith. It is only because there is a question of Mr. Obama being affiliated tieh the Islamic, or Muslim faith that we bring up these comments. In America, we have been propagandised, and brainwashed that all muslims are terrorist and are out to destroy this country. It is through blackballing of the "Black Muslims" led by minister Farakham and things attributed to his follwing that we are in this scare situation today. Maybe we need to truly adhere to "Freedom of Religion" and not be selectively embracing some and disallowing others. Is this a nation of hypocrites. Seems like we tout our human rights programs around the world and try to influence other countries to adhere to theml, what about us.

Let's be intelligent and vote for change, because we need change. If we vote for Obama we will get change. What is the change? Has anyone noticed Obama never says anything. We need to change. We can do a better job. We need to get a long better. HOW??? How is Obama going to change Washington? Do you have any evidence of him ever working across party lines? Voting for change because he says he is going to change, doesn't mean that he will change anything. What we have seen mostly in this election cycle is that he is willing to compromise his core beliefs constantly, time and time again to the politically expediant side to maintain popularity.

I can relate to this article because I have worshipped different religions and it all comes down to the root of what you believe in. I believe in one God. I was baptised a Catholic. I attended a Christain church up till I was 14 years of age. My family got away from the church altogether for a couple of years and then we started attending a Mormon church. Now that I am married and have a family I attend a Catholic Church. My wife and kids are devout but I just attend services. I guess what I am trying to say is that it doesn't make a man less committed to God if he worships different religions he becomes more educated about how those religions think about life and God. Whatever your committment to God is is your own choosing and what you believe is what you engrain your soul into believing. I would rather have a well rounded candidate that has different views of the world than one that steers clear of diversity in cultures and religion. This is not a Protestant nation anymore than it is Catholic, Muslim or Athiest it is all of these into one. May God bless the candidate that can understand that...

How can anyone with a family possibly justify voting for the devout Marxist Obama when their job is at stake? Do you really think he can force these business owners to keep you on the payroll when they can no longer afford to pay you? Careful what you wish for people and at the very least try to understand the repercussions. "Equality" at the Expense of Liberty is Communism. How much fawning coverage can Newsweek give Obama? With each glossy cover the magazine surpasses itself - I cannot believe there is not someone in the Newsweek organization who cares about objectivity anymore. I have never seen anything like this - Time and U.S. News would never be so blatantly for any candidate. I reluctantly cancelled my subscription.

After I read some of these comments, I feel compell to reply about how ignorant some people really are. It is so sad to see even some intellectual people are in the same mindset of pre-historic America. The level of ignorance of these people kept America Hostage. Some people will prefer America to sink like a Titanic instead to vote for Change. Barack Obama is not America's Savior like some people would like to think but at this moment in history, He is the only best that America can offer. Sad to see the media, the intellectuals, the ignorants let their feelings override their common sense. People if we really love America like some of you pretended, if we love to see America regains her Leadership position in the world, we should support Obama. John McCain is a great man that deserve a happy retirement in Arizona after so many years of public service. His philasophy about America is not the best at this time. The old way of thinking made us losing our grip in the world's affair, that is why some courntries like Venezuela, Chile, Zimbabwe, Iran, Russia, China try to riducule and have no respect for America because of this current administration. Certainly Supreme Court made the wrong choice by choosing Bush to be President,and we also made the wrong choce by electing Bush for a second term, people we cannot afford to make another catastrophic mistake again by electing McCain. Let's try something new, after all America is deserve better than some of the comments that I read in this blog. Let's not let ignorance prevails but let's be little bit more intelligent this time.

Look at Bush and he professes to be a Christian. His staff consisted of scooter libbey,dick chaney, rumsfeld, gonzolaz, rove.
