Typing in all caps is considering to be shouting. Besides being rude it is visually disturbing to look at. So most people are probably not reading your posts. But most of the people who write on these posts are talkers and not listeners. So, who do we think is reading our rants anyway ?

White people raise their children to be judges of evil thoughts(who's black or white) just as god instructed them and all people not to do! God is the only judge, who created all people! When you die and face him, you'll be like the rich man who begged god to give him a second chance to go back and tell his children the truth and not to come there(HELL)! This article is a bunch of fluff. The only thing that matters about Obama's religion is his current beliefs. Until just recently her practiced his religion among a bunch of lunatics. The only reason that he left was because it was politically damaging to him. If he did not agree with Reverand Wright, why did he stay in the church for 20 years. To summarize your story for you because you cannot say it, " Obama practices at the most extreme, bigotted unChristian church he could find. " These people practice Black Liberation Theology and are a bunch of lunatics.

Great article!! I hope evryone reads it and comes away with a better understanding that people are different in all phases of our lives, but we are common to the earth and need to live together. Let me summarize what this article should say. For the last 20 year Barrack Obama, worshipped in the most bigotted and unchristian church that he could find. They are a bunch of lunatics that practice Black Liberation Theology. He only left the church when it became politically damaging to him. His beliefs are far from mainstream. How come our "unbiased" medis never asks him about Black Liberation Theology, since it is such a big part of Rev. Wright and Trinity Baptist Church.

I don't usually contribute to these discussions, but the level of intolerance, hatred and vitriol express here by so called Christian is extremely disturbing! I am impressed by Obama's intellectual & emothional search for faith and saw hope that his exposure to many religions would help our country as we have to come to terms with co-existing in an ever increasing intertwined world. I'm afraid that most of these people can't handle the concept of a truly thoughtful, deep individual leading this country and not one mouthing the tenets of the Christian Right while lining the pockets of his big oil buddies and ravaging the beauties of the Earth God gave us!!

I suggest you READ Senator Obamas blueprint for change available on his website and THEN comment. The election of ANY Republican is truly the worst possible outcome of this election.

The Declaration of Independence

Many Christians who think of America as founded upon Christianity usually present the Declaration as "proof."

The reason appears obvious: the document mentions God. However, the God in the Declaration does not describe (Christianity's God).

It describes "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." This nature's view of God agrees with (Deist Philosophy) but any attempt to use the Declaration as a support for Christianity will fail for this reason alone.

More significantly, the Declaration does not represent the law of the land as it came before the Constitution.

The Declaration aimed at announcing their separation from Great Britain and listed the various grievances with the "thirteen united States of America." The grievances against Great Britain no longer hold, and we have more than thirteen states.

Today, the Declaration represents an important historical document about rebellious intentions against Great Britain at a time before the formation of our independent government. Although the Declaration may have influential power, it may inspire the lofty thoughts of poets, and judges may mention it in their summations, it holds no legal power today. Our presidents, judges and policemen must take an oath to uphold the Constitution, but never to the Declaration of Independence.

Of course the Declaration depicts a great political document, as it aimed at a future government upheld by citizens instead of a religious monarchy. It observed that all men "are created equal" meaning that we all come inborn with the abilities of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That "to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men."

Big Note: The Declaration says nothing about our Rights secured by Christianity, nor does it imply anything about a (Christian Foundation).
