OBAMA stance in Iraq is correct.THE IRAQI's must take control of their own security and U.S. troops must begin comming home by 2010. The nucleus of Al Queda is in AFGANISTAN AND PAKISTAN. IF they are defeated then there is no more AL Queda in IRAQ. Obama's assessment of refocusing the war on terror to AFGANISTAN AND PAKISTAN was most impressive.

What shocked me was his stance on the wiretapping bill. This is a clear violation of our privacy rights as AMERICANS. Unfortunately, this is just the tip of the iceberg. In 2010 REAL ID's will become law. Eventually the government will have all our personal information on a chip. I WAS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OBAMA's vote on this issue.

OUR CONSITITUTION IS ALL WE HAVE TO PROTECT OURSELVES AGAINST GOVERNMENTS WHO OVER REACH THEIR POWERS. WHAT MAKES OUR COUNTRY GREAT IS THE CHECKS AND BALANCES THAT ARE IN PLACE.

THE RATIONAL behind voting in favor of this bill cannot really be justified. I guess OBAMA is trying to show he can work with Republicans and is willing to comprimise. Inotherwords he voted for this controversial bill and will be able to use his vote as leverage for a bill he really wants passed in the future.

OBAMA has a fifty state strategy is has a good chance of winning four states which are traditionally republican strongholds, in the fall. He can make the case that he can work with Republicans and Democrats to get things done. IT is inevitable that one day these wire tap laws will be abused at the expense of our privacy. What is the big deal in getting a warrant. THIS IS WHAT PROTECT US AMERICANS AGAINST POTENTIAL GOVERNMENT INTRUSION.

NOW THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT NEED A WARRANT THEY CAN JUST DO WHAT THEY WANT. I DO NOT THINK AMERICANS REALLY UNDERSTAND THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS USING TERRORISM AS AN EXECUSE TO INVADE OUR PRIVACY. WE ALREADY HAVE PRIVACY ISSUES WITH CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AND CORPORATIONS WHO TRADE OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AMONGST THEMSELVES TO INCREASE THEIR PROFITS.


THERE has not been one attack on AMERICAN SOIL SINCE 9/11. DURING THIS TIME WE DID NOT HAVE A WIRETAPPING BILL. SOMEHOW A CITIZEN GROUPS NEED TO ORGANIZE OURSELVES AND START FIGHTING TO GET OUR PRIVACY RIGHTS BACK.

IRAQ IS DISTRACTING FROM EVERY OTHER THREAT AND OBAMA PLAYING THE RACE CARD ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER CRAP LIKE RESKO, REV WRIGHT, AYERS, MARXIST, THE COVER OF THE NEW YORKER, THE FIST BUMP, WHAT RELIGION HE IS, THE DEMOCRATS HOUSING DEALS, ALL OF THESE THINGS AND MORE ARE DISTRACTING THE VOTERS FROM THE REAL ISSUES LIKE OBAMA'S VOTING RECORD, OR HIS CHANGES ON THE ISSUES HE LIKES ALL THIS NEGITIVE PUBICITY BECAUSE IF THE VOTERS FOCUS ON THIS THEN THEY WILL NOT SEE THAT HE IS IN FACT UNABLE TO RUN THE COUNTRY !! IT???S JUST A DIFFERENT FLAVOR OF KOOL AID!

Hey NOBAMAIN - Actually I wish they would cover McCain more too. Because I'm wondering about his Christian experience...like what Christian path he was on when he abandoned his disabled wife and 3 kids for a younger, richer beer heiress, who he also abandoned when she had a stroke to learn to walk on her own. This seems a bit confusing to me. Why would we want a man who's alway abandoning his family in time of need - to be our leader?

WWJD? I often wonder who Jesus would vote for if he only had a choice between Democrat and Republican candidates. I think he'd want the humanist to win. People are more important than money. I don't think Heaven and Hell are important. They are intangible. The only thing we have is the evidence of how we live our lives in the here and now and how we positively affect those around us. I want a president who nurtures my individual right to think, feel and believe as I am personally motivated. I want a president who can protect me from the extremist theo-facists and ...wait... IS there an opposite extreme to theo-facist? I'm not really sure. God will save all of our souls and as far as I'm concerned she's the only one that has any real use for the concept. I'll just keep slogging away trying to be the best fellow citizen and best me I can be.

I don't participate in religion of any sort and hold many religionists responsible for the extreme violence they advocate. In a presidential candidate, I'm looking for someone who is unlikely to promote firing me from my job because I don't worship with my boss or flunking my grandkids out of kindergarten because they don't pray with the majority and right now, that looks like Obama. By exposing him to tolerance, his mom may have done all of us a favor.

We need More Magazine Covers with Obama on it!

Sorry to go off topic but, I read something on one of the PUMA sites, the crazies who are unwilling to accept that Sen. Clinton lost and are actively either campaigning for McCain or Threatening the DNC to UNelect Obama and replace him with Clinton as the Nominee.

It seems that Clinton is sending out emails to her supporters asking them to either allow her to keep their donations and allocate them towards her 2012 Election Campaign or for them to donate directly to her 2012 Election Campaign.

If this is true, I am still trying to verify this, I am pissed, here she is expecting Obama's supporters to pay this off and in the same breath asking her supporters to fund her next presidential campaign.

By the way they are also calling Bill Clinton's office and asking himto, if he absolutely had to campaign for Obama, to do it really low key so that it doesn't matter.

How dare they.

I had earlier today contacted Clinton's office to inquire about making a monthly donation. She obviously has enough money. She will not get a dime from me.

INDEPENDENT PARTY WOULD BE BETTER!

I really wish he was an atheist like his father, or at least an agnostic like his mother. Its about time we had a godless president.

Anyone who claims to still be "suspicious" that Obama secretly harbors or sympathizes with the extremist views of Rev. Wright after actually listening to Obama's now famous speech was never going to vote for Obama in the first place. All the anti-Obama voters are jumping on the lynch-wagon because they see it as a way to bring Obama down, not because they honestly believe Obama to be an extremist. So let them rant and rave. The polls show their fury is barely even fraying Obama's support at the edges.

And in a way, they have actually helped Obama (1) by reminding everyone that Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim and (2) by dispelling any notion that Obama can not stand up to the Republican attack machine. Not only did he stand up, he did it with grace, courage and brilliance.

I will be voting for Democrats come Nov. and I would be honored to call Barack Obama my President.

McCain picks Carly Fiorina who when she was CEO of HP, sold computers to Iran. The same computers that they now use to scare Americans and to send information to those Al Queda members. Obama need to hit McCain hard with Carly Fiorina. She sent jobs overseas and made a big deal with Iran to make millions for herself. She and Lieberman are the biggest joke in America.
