I am not sure what either of you took from the article, but if there was semen found in the victim and it belonged to Guede then there is reason to suspect him of the crime, regardless of his race. The fact that he fled the country also raises questions as to why would he flee if he is innocent. His race does not factor into the matter since he did in fact have sex with the victim prior to her death. It sounds as though the main two people who are suspected of killing her are white...maybe you should re-read the article and try to envision that you have no idea what the races are of the individuals involved. It is just a shame that a simple article can get twisted into a race war just because a picture of the individuals were posted.

thettiredblackwomen---shut up! Personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing blacks whine "discrimination"...he's as guilty as the other two. END OF STORY!

the black guy is just as guilty even if he was just in the house chillin. miserable people bring things upon thereself no matter what color.

I think hot women should be able to do whatever they want just short of killing, especially to men. Although woman on woman violence should be punished if one is severely hurt, but if a man is severely hurt, then he probably deserved it. Women don't get physically violent with a man unless he has done something to deserve it. By the way, I don't know what this has to do with anything about this story......lol.

Stop identifying yourselves as an American. It does not matter what nationality you are. Don't you get it? You notice Foxyforever -- Horizon --- dannyboy --- have never stated what nationality they are. IT DOES NOT MATTER. Level the playing field. This case is not about nationality. There are three murder suspects. You have to look at the EVIDENCE. Hopefully, one of these three will soon spill the beans and we will all get the whole story. "There is nothing covered that won't be revealed; nor hid, that won't be made known." Matthew 10:26 The weakest in character will start talking.

      um hello knox maybe

  • Posted By: irishgal @ 07/16/2008 2:00:15 AM

The facts are that all three are to be judged on their actions or non-actions of this crime happening. I find it saddest that this society does not feel for the murdered and their families.

  • Posted By: IrishSeaDog @ 07/16/2008 1:43:22 AM

The fact is The man will be judged inaccordance with his race. The Black race has fallen into the handa of media hype and steriotypical agenda. The fact remains Blacks are bein influenced by the stigmata of being black... To act a certain way dress a certain way and defend thier dignity a certain way. Unfortunatly many have sucomb to the Rap and crime culture wich has come to be expected of the black community. Very sad. when I see a Black young man or woman in the missle of Watt's comeing home from work and dressed like a good person it makes my heart bleed knowing all the influences he or she has to face every day. As far as being profiled. Yes He will be profiled. However I do fel that in a contry such as Italy he has a better chance of being judged fairley thatn in Our contry only because the term's of slavery and racial tention are much closer here than there...:)

    • Posted By: thetruthwillsetyoufree @ 07/16/2008 1:58:58 AM

I understand what your saying seadog completely i do but when you say the stigmata it is a persons choice to "act a certain way" white people listen to rap and are exposed to crime just as much as black people. it think ultimatly it is based on education and choice and what do you mean to be dressed as a good person you can wear the best clothes and be the worst person in that retro spect i think it is all about character and personal choice HOWEVER i undertsand what you mean about discriminating but its the lifetime where we have to move on and come together and get over everything in the past we didnt live through NO ONE OWES ANYONE ANYTHING! you know? we will never complete let anything go if both races keep a line between black and white. thats just what i think. so no one get mad.

  • Posted By: IrishSeaDog @ 07/16/2008 1:35:24 AM

Yep you are right the Black man is going to be treated with racial bias... Belive it, know it, and stop you complaining about it! Blacks have been under the microscope for a very ling time now. It is no big secret that blacks are being influenced to acti in certain ways just because they are black... If taken at birth and raised on an Island away from media and events a black man or woman would be a perfect human being and would be disgusted with what the world view has influenced many blacks into beliving that's what they are. I am a true beliver in the fact that blacks in america today are at much greater risk of becoming involved in criminal conduct not because of thier genre, but due to the stigma that has been placed on them not only by society but by the Black American youth. being bombarded by gangs Voilent Rap music and glorified Sex...When will it stop?

    • Posted By: omgrukiddingme @ 07/16/2008 1:57:59 AM

who are you all commenting to? i hope it is not at all me. i am anything but racist. my daughter is hispanic and her aunt and uncle are black . now what? why do people here automatically start judging one anothers character instead of what the debate is really about. Look: one of the lines I read in the story was that while knox was in jail she was writin crap about how she was gettin public responses on her appearance. isn't somethin kind of disturbing about that. That she is wonderin how others see her instead of worrying about her whole entire eterinity there. this girl is messed up sexually for sure. wheter it be because of other outside influences or her own self. she is derainged and they definately need to look into her a bit further besides the rate of women murdering these days is not exactly a small number any more.

    • Posted By: BTHOMP @ 07/16/2008 1:45:42 AM

Maybe you should read a book or something. Then MAYBE you wouldn't be so ignorant. You are insinuating that it is African Americans' own fault that we are discriminated against. Know your history before you open your mouth. I could talk all day about the history of slavery and how it affected the African American psyche. Yes, it happend a longgggggg time ago, but when people are treated less than human, it affects many many generations after. No one is perfect. Even if AA were isolated, there would still be murderes, rapists, theives, aronists...etc. I'm just speaking of the general view of AA in society. FYI not all AA people are all bad. I happen to be an educated, criminal record-free, african-american women. But somehow, I still sometimes manage to get harrassed by Cobb County police because of racial profiling. So put that in your pipe and smoke it..............................................OBAMA FOR CHANGE!!!

when they all kill themselves due to their own ignorance for each other.

  • Posted By: Zarembo @ 07/16/2008 1:50:40 AM

On an upper view of the post crime behaviour, I can tell that Guede did not have part of the crime, he live the scene and the area, but the other two, engaged guilty behaviour, as the act with pressumed inocense, as the blak guy apparently runned away, when this last one, cutted the murder deal as I belived he did not wanted to have any thing to do with it. Knox and Sollecito, wanted a trio, Kercher refussed.

when i meant romeo and juliet i was mistaking...but i am kind of at lost for words killinf in jealousy rage passion is what i meant more so than dying for one another.

  • Posted By: omgrukiddingme @ 07/16/2008 1:42:47 AM

actually truthseeker that is what im finishin school on! would you like to step into my office.

  • Posted By: thetruthwillsetyoufree @ 07/16/2008 1:41:46 AM

it is the media just as this who depicts romeo and juliet (if you will) romantic but such tragic murder story- this whole story is missing that there were drugs involved and somewhere i read when this first happend jealousy issues and also two people being in a complete different country could inhibit a person as well due to culture shock and exploring the unknown im those girls ages and i know how it feels to want to push the limits in different circumstances and this is no voucher for what happend but i do think that doing drugs can take into some account inhibitng the mind and acting out of one ordinary ways-but i still think the people who killed this girl should be accountable. but i dont think they should make this girl the main suspect nor the victim. The evidence will be hard to pin point who did what but i dont think this was an accident what so ever and for the fact that sex was involved people are freaks and may just have been consumed with whatever was going on. who knows but if the media continues to convey this story in such a way i think its going to be exploited into some celebritized thing and thats just typical for society this way its characters involved and diff city sex girls race money wealth screaming media frenzy and lifetime movie. justice needs to be done and not with the media involved. ...

Oh and as for the race comment: you keep it going i am white and the last thing i thought was oh its the black guy -its the ignorance in people like you who think its all about race- this isnt a race issue Its a murder and they're as of right now blaming the girl read the story before you go on some rant about every one blames the black man - ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THAT. and as for obama what does he have to do with it? its about being a good canidate for this country your bringing the color into it. YOURE profiling. and already making it negative on black people when that is not the case quit using black and just say people.

  • Posted By: junecampdav @ 07/16/2008 1:37:40 AM

Not playing the race card here, just looking coldly at the facts and othr newspaper articles not printed here..

  • Posted By: babymoxy @ 07/16/2008 1:20:52 AM

Why are we playing the whole race card? No where, in the entire article did it implicate the only black male involved in what had happened. If you read the same article that I just read...It basically implicated the other couple (mainly the female room-mate) and barely mentioned the girls boyfriend til the end of the article.

    • Posted By: BTHOMP @ 07/16/2008 1:26:48 AM

Yeah, at the end of the article it mentioned that the couple's lawyers were probably gonna try to implicate the black guy. Which is soooooo typical. Like I said, I don't expect white people to agree. Ya'll don't have to deal with that type of stuff.....................OBAMA FOR CHANGE!!

      • Posted By: aure19 @ 07/16/2008 1:36:12 AM

obama will turn our country into africa, what are u talking about? the best thing for our country obama/! what has this world come to?!

  • Posted By: papillongrl @ 07/16/2008 1:29:44 AM

As an American college student living in Rome at the time of the murder, I find it hard to blame this all on Italy or the Italian government. Italy can be just as safe as the US, and it can be just as dangerous. Many students travel abroad, for school or vacation, and feel almost as if they are entitled to more, and immune to more, simply because they are US citizens. They think they can let their guard down because they're leagally considered adults in many countries, more so since they're thousands of miles away from their parents. This is unfortunate because many lose their lives, or spend weeks in a foreign prison (one student that had attended my program a few years ago got extremely drunk, happened to walk past a fight outside a club, decided to ignore the undercover cop who blocked his path, and was then arrested for assaulting an officer)

Maybe she's guilty, maybe she's not, though the evidence seems to lean towards guilty. Regardless, just because she is an American girl being held and tried in a foreign country doesn't mean she's innocent either. Like many countires, Italy has its murders. It's just unfortunate that this one involved an American college student. The Italian government isn't perfect, nor is that of the US (remember Jon-Benet, and how that crime scene wasn't properly documented). If this murder had happened in the US, these three would still be suspects, and there would still be a dead girl. At this point, all we can do is wait until the trial begins and see what additional evidence surfaces, and what connections are made.

  • Posted By: junecampdav @ 07/16/2008 1:24:12 AM

Personally, if they try to pin this on the black guy [ this is so typical ] then the two must be convicted along with him, because Knox tried to pin the crime on the other black guy, who was a bar man she knew and worked for. [ All black people don't look the same ] They must have been all stoned out of their brains and tried there best to entice the victim which backfired.. what chance did she have three against one.. Knox has a sweet innocent face..but she's guilty.. by what i've read she is emotionally detached.. she probably didn't shed a tear for Kerchner. JCD

  • Posted By: BTHOMP @ 07/16/2008 1:17:31 AM

This is an unfortunate event. i think that all of them had something to do with it, but of course, the black man will probably end up taking the fall for must of it. And that's not being pessimistic- that's just real life. In society, unfortunately black men are seen as rapist, theives, and murderers. These stereotypes and racial profiling affects the way black men are treated. I don't know if he is guilty or innocent of killing her, but i do believe that if he were white , he would be better off in this case. Most of ya'll white people are not gonna agree with me. That's because ya'll don't understand. Ya'll probably have never had to deal with negative racial profiling. In our society, the white race is glorified, it is supposed to represent all things good.....which is not true. A message for the black men:::: LEAVE THESE WHITE WOMEN ALONE!!! You see what happened to Cobe... lol They ain't nothin but trouble. OH yeah.... OBAMA FOR CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: LostinTranslation @ 07/15/2008 10:57:03 PM

I have no idea if this young woman committed this crime or not. but what I do find bothersome is the fact that her previous sexual history is such a major strike against her. First of all, why in the hell does it matter how many men she slept with in Italy? Second, this is almost entirely heresay anyway. She has no record of ever being a sex offender before, so what does it matter if she sleeps with one man or 1200 men? I mean, come on.... Not once in this article does it mention how many women the other two accused MEN slept with in order to place guilt. I find this to be totally horrific and extremely poor journalism.

    • Posted By: Dee2008 @ 07/15/2008 11:02:31 PM

If you (man/woman) lead a nasty path..then you'll most likely end up in a deep muddy ditch. That's how some see it as a moral of this story so that lessons be learnt and it doesn't happen to others, so in a way it does matter that we discuss this, whether about a man/woman.Now are you still lost in translation?

      • Posted By: omgrukiddingme @ 07/16/2008 1:06:27 AM

lol!!!! seriously. the best comment so far. the past is always the best and greatest predictor of the future

    • Posted By: Fort Begay @ 07/15/2008 11:20:00 PM

Whether it's poor journalism or not, women are viewed and judged on an entirely different standard. No one would ever mention the sexual liasons a male has, but everything comes out of the woodwork when it comes to women and sexual intercourse. The sexual activity is relevant in this case because this is a sex crime. That Knox's parents think their daughter's the stuff of angle dust needs to be addressed--that's why the media has brought up her sexual activity--even though she's a woman. I would think they would do the same if Knox was a male.

I am currently on the west coast. Why is it that Seattle, Washington has a lot of "white killers" ? On Christmas Eve of 2007, a Seattle white female and her white male friend killed a family of 6 in Carnation, which is a suburb of Seattle. i would recommend to anyone not to go to that God forsaken city because that's all the white kids do up there from Seattle, Kent, Spokane, Olympia, Bothell, Auburn, Lake City, and so on. They are "white killing machines".

Somehow Satan has gotten a hold of them. They murder, there are a lot sleeping in the streets, they were into some kind of Satanic music, they called it "grunge". Even a University in the state, Gonzaga, prides itself in playing mostly white basketball player, even though they aren't talented, but for some reason they have a racist point of view up there and the whites are very criminal.

I believe Amanda did kill the girl from London, just like the girl and her friend killed on Christmas Eve. Here is the link to the Christmas Eve murders and there are many more. If anyone out there wants to research how criminal the "whites" are there in Seattle and the state of Washington, use this link to browse at their news: http://www.kirotv.com/news/14937951/detail.html

These people are Satanic. They don't believe in God and Jesus Christ, so they don't have any Christian principles, the Bible, the 10 Commandments, which indicate "Thou Shall Not Kill". It's sad, and I say don't go through their state. They are "killing machines", not anyone a decent Christian American should want to hang around.

    • Posted By: omgrukiddingme @ 07/16/2008 1:03:06 AM

omg r u freakin kiddin me.. I am a white american women. first off expand your brain a little. just because you don't like or understand certain kinds of music does not mean it is satanic in the least. some people just like dif stuff. thats like americans tellin hispanics (under there breath) to turn down there loud t "circus music." which i have heard people say alot. but its theres. it is there culture and if they are here than they have every right to listen to what they want! secondly, I live by the number one ranked murder city in the whole entire world. so seattle does not sound so bad.

  • Posted By: LaBoccadellaVerità @ 07/16/2008 1:02:30 AM

First of all, it is very concerning to me that so many comments presume the parties are "Guilty" based on the limited and selected information released to the press. Certainly, it is only the most titillating facts that ever seem to make it into the press. It is only after a thorough review of the evidence that one should ever determine that another is guilty. Secondly, after spending a summer studying in Perugia, I witnessed first hand the decisions that twenty-somethings made while away from their families and countries. Knox is not unique in her sexual exploration with multiple partners while in Perugia. In fact, I saw many girls take on personas that were quickly dropped once they were on the plane headed home. This does not automatically mean that these girls were dubious in nature, rather, they were young girls figuring out the nuisances of their characters. Plus, just because one writes about sexual fantasies and says provocative things to one's new boyfriend, does not mean one is actually going to act on these fantasies. Lastly, Let me say that my time in Perugia was wonderful and many of the people were kind and helpful. But, at least half were not. For those who were not welcoming, there seemed to be an underlying hostility to the foreigners in their town. This concerns me on two levels, first, is this girl dealing with the fair-minded or not? I am not confident that those officials dealing with this case are free from bias against foreigners. Secondly, given the fervor surrounding this case both nationally and internationally, I am assuming there is real pressure to get a conviction. Reserving judgment until all the facts come to light, at least gives this girl the opportunity to defend herself, if indeed she is innocent. And wouldn't each one of us, in the same situation, want to be given at least the chance to be judged on all of the facts before being locked away for life? Let the facts unfold, before closing your minds.
