    What about the older men who don't ware belts and there pants are falling off. I am wondering if they too will get a ticket for that. Who wants to see that exposure?

    IF folks are allowed to wear these clothes...why wear pants in the first place?? If you want to show your ass, then by all means do so, othewise keep it covered!

    i look back at micro mini skirts, bell bottoms and the like and laugh at myself, someday these kids will look back at sagging and laugh at themselves too. it's just youth being it's defiant, in your face self, yes they look stupid, but probably they are smart enough to know unconstitutional, crap when they see it. the best punishment for sagging is waiting for them when they are parents and their kids come up with some awful, disgusting style. and there's no way to hurry that.

    I'm a midddle aged overweight person. I' pay good money to find pants that fit so I'm NOT showing of my undies or ass. These people wearing loose baggy clothing should be ashamed of themselves for having NO pride in a neat appearance. If you look like a walking laundry heap, that's what you'll get treated like.

There are many things that could make a person overweight and not be able to control that. There was just an article of an overweight woman whose Dr. missed a 100+ pound tumor.     I'm no fan of sagging, but making this a criminal offense? Do you really think some 16 y.o. black/white/orange/pink/what-have-you kid should have his record marred for life over his PANTS? And why is everyone so upset when there are much much bigger issues at hand in the US today? Also, I can't find the comment from the person who was deeply offended by purple, orange, other colored hair, but you're nuts! It's just HAIR! I grows back! LOL
    Why people take outward appearance that seriously I don't understand. Yeah it may reflect a bit about who you are, but not totally. I bleached my hair platinum blonde (I'm very fair skinned and it looked very nice) and most men automatically assumed I was kinda dumb. Over my hair. Which I later cut off, boy-short, and dyed dark brown, because I got bored with it. Only stupid guys thought I was dumb because of my hair color. Really weeded out the losers quickly!
    Profiling like that really tells more about the person doing it.

    It is about time somebody stood up to a ridiculous way of dressing. It is disgusting and nauseating to see someone barely able to walk, because their pants are hanging below the butt. I don't care if it is a "lifestyle" choice or not. It is offensive. Shut up ACLU and concentrate on something that is more important than someone wanting to show off their butts. Also just because you dressed like that because you were poor, get off your lazy butts and find a job, don't use that as an excuse.

    If they are going to ban sagging then why don't they ban chicks showing midriffs and wearing daisy dukes? You know, not all women wearing these are appealing to the eye.
    I think this guys has too much time on his hands and wants people to remember his name. Styles come and go. I didn't like hot pants back in the day. I think it made women look like hookers but it didn't mean they were hookers.
    Once we let lawmakers determine whether or not it is legal to wear certain types of clothing then we had better be prepared to allow them to govern plenty of other personal things that we do.

    Slippery slope you idiots! What about pants that are worn on the waist that sill expose undergarments like thongs? What about undergarments shown on backless/shoulderless items that show bras? Regardless of what YOU think about the matter this is all about CONTROL. I frankly find tight pants, camel toes, and going commando criminal as do many others. Employers have reason, otherwise control your own kids.

    I have the solution to this pressing problem. This requires the dedicated effort of all men who are over 50. All we need to do is start "sagging". That's right. If every man who is over 50 started to dress this way you'd see it dissappear in about a month. C'mon guys, let's drop those pants and let those drawers show. If you're wearing white BVDs so much the better. And be sure when you do it you make a point of going up to any young man you see with his pants below his butt and let him know that you understand him because you're cool just like him. Like I said, about a month and this problem will start to dissappear.

    Damn right Flint has more important things to worry about --with violent crime only being one them. Flint, I understand, is one of the worst places to "try and get out of." Low income. Lack of good jobs. I don't know about education, but if the above are indicators, then I would imagine it would suffer as a result of lack of funding.

    And who does this Dick guy think he is anyway? Who gives him the right to legislate anything, let alone fashion? In a DEMOCRACY the PEOPLE legislate. That is how we do it in Seattle. WE THE PEOPLE make the laws, the police only have the job of enforcing them. Ask the police here and they will tell you. In Seattle, marijuana enforcement is the LOWEST law enforcement priority. Not because the police chief says so, but because WE THE PEOPLE say so. And it isn't because our police are impotent either. It is just because they have a job and a job description, and nowhere in the job description does it say "you determine right and wrong alone, and have the duty to do whatever you please."

    I personally think wearing your pants low is kind of stupid looking, but hey, I don't have any right to dictate what others do. The worst thing that sagging has ever done to me is cause me to have to sit at a light a little longer because the idiot with the pants around his knees can't get across the street before the light changes. Face it. Hip hop trends are annoying to non-followers; the trends are designed to attract attention, such as sagging, playing (music?) so loud the neighborhood can hear it (as if we were waiting all day to hear that, and here you come to save the day...) and cars that can only go 10mph and turn corners four lanes or larger because non-utilitarian modifications have been performed. But again, it is annoying, not criminal. And targeting saggers is profiling, because hey, how many country wannabes or retirees are doing it? Why not search everyone who wears a cowboy hat off the ranch? Or how about everyone with grey hair?

    Bottom line is this: either shut up and be happy with the Dick making your laws for you and dictating right and wrong (hence the term "dictator") because you better get used to it --if he gets away with this, then you can bet on more for the future, or move to a better place (don't come here unless you are willing to vote and take your government into your own hands) or, better yet but profoundly more difficult, rally the Flint citizenry and form a ballot initiative that requires all laws at the city level to be ratified by the voters. Do that, and Dick will likely leave town. Just don't send him here.

      oh, I'm glad you mentioned the Seattle thing, I'm from WA state and very proud of the Seattle DEA for doing that. I've always believed meth is a far far worse threat. I know many kids I went to school with whose lives were destroyed or ended due to meth. Not one person I know has ever had that happen with marijuana (and some are quite successful).
