Fashion Police: Flint Cracks Down on Sagging

What kind of parent would let their kid out in public like that anyway? It's not the country that's going down-hill, it's family values. If my ADULT brothers dressed like that (or a son of mine, which I don't have), I'd take great pride AND PLEASURE in giving him a wedgie. Do you think he'd dress like that the next time he came to visit? I doubt it!

There is something showing in Flint, but it isn't the boxers. It is the absolute stupidity of the acting police chief and the city council.

Like the article said, Flint has much larger issues than its residences wearing a style that the current Police Chief doesn't like. I live in a small town about 35 miles from Flint and I won't go there. I don't know anyone who does. I personally think that his objection to sagging is just a cover for some bigger objection he has. Instead of pushing his weight around over some trivial issue and creating even more negative publicity for Flint, he needs to focus on the bigger issues, be honest with it's citizens and create a positive atmosphere for Flint. It's a beautiful, old city with great buildings and great potential. But it obviously has bad management. One of the greatest things about cities is all the diverse and eclectic fashions. And what about all those guys (and sometimes women) that you see walking around or sitting down with their butt cracks actually showing. Isn't that what his little blue law of conduct is talking about? I'd rather see fashionable boxers than plumbers crack anyday.

I wish Texas (especially Austin) had the guts to do this. I do NOT like to look at underwear, regardless of how "cute" they are and/or how expensive they may be. It's totally DISGUSTING!!

Another fine example of the fact that there are too many idiots in positions of authority in this country.

Sagging has its roots in prison culture. Why do we glorify and defend kids and young men who try to emulate this kind of lifestyle? Here is the other thing; you have more white kids trying to emulate this style now than kids of color. Why do we keep pushing the envelope? There's nothing wrong with establishing guidelines on what to wear.

"Sagging" is know as "jail housing" by those who do it. When someone is arrested, his belt is removed so he won't harm himself or others. As an act of defiance, the criminals let their pants hang down around their buttocks. Anyone copying this act is performing an act of defiance and showing the stupid and often retarded mentality of most criminals. Let them do it so we know who the dopes are.

Let them sag if they want to. When they're trying to run from the cops, it makes it easier for the cops to catch them because their waistline ends up around their ankles and they can't go anywhere. Makes it a lot easier on law enforcement! They'll probably get pretty skinned up and break something too!!
