Fashion Police: Flint Cracks Down on Sagging

"Sagging" is known as "jail housing" by those who perform it. It is a blatant mockery of society and social rules. When a person is arrested, they may have their belt removed as a precaution against harm to themselves or others. As an act of defiance, the arrested person lets his pants fall down around his buttocks. When done by teens and others, it is a stupid copy cat of the lowest, most despicable members of society: the criminal. It is a blatant act of defiance. The teen looks stupid and retarded, like most criminals. So let them do it, so we know who the dopes are.

I see adults using this style of all races, creeds, and colors. It is funny. But, these adults dress this way after work hours. These kids have nothing else to do so they will be dressed this way more often unless their parents put a stop to it. And even if they do not let them out of the house this way, whats to say they wouldn't change at a friends house. There kids. When they grow up and get a job or dont have so much time on their hands this will change.Unti then, just have a good laugh and be greatful that we had people die for their right to dress anyway they want.

I have two sons that have been fighting in Iraq to liberate woman who are oppressed. Some of them have to leave their faces covered in public or be punished, even killed. Yet we want to point fingers are other countries for their oppressive, overbearing and high-handed ways of governing.
Public nudity is a crime. Exposing genitalia is a crime.
Wearing sagging pants is not a crime nor should it be.
And there is no way in hell a single person should make legislation without the communities input and going through protocol.
If you are worried about somebody carrying weapons in sagging pants, then you better worry more about backpacks, fannypacks and purses. You could hide a lot more in those places without it falling out. Sagging pants don't stay up well without the weight of a gun, unless you have on a belt. Most saggers don't wear belts. If all of the sudden we are going to adopt dress codes, then we need to scrutinize all styles, ethnic cultures and groups. Even the bathing suits and skirts above the knees would be outlawed I'm sure. Watchout Scottland!

I hate sagging pants, but I love the idea of being free, and allowed t practice freedom of speech. This is coming to an end. We are making it happen.

History Repeats Itself Once Again!

REGARDLESS OF IT BEING AN OLD FAD OR NOT THE LAW IS STUPID AND PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAG IF THEY WANT. WHEN YOU START COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THIS THAT'S WHEN THE GOVERNMENT STATES TO PUSH THEMSELVES INTO YOUR HOME AND WHO KNOW WHERE ELSE THEY'LL TRY TO GO GET OVER THE STYLE AND FOCUS ON THE REAL PROBLEMS AND AS FAR AS ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE ( THE OLDER GENERATION) THAT JUST DOESN'T LIKE IT BECAUSE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND AGAIN GET OVER IT AND WORRY ABOUT YOU THAT'S WHAT THE REAL PROBLEM IS FOCUSING ON STUPID THINGS THAT DON'T EVEN MATTER WHILE CRIME IS TAKING CONTROL. AND TO THE COP THAT WANTS TO CHANGE HOW PEOPLE DRESS THEN MAYBE HE SHOULD SUPPLY THEM WITH PANTS OR A BELT AND IF HE CAN'T JUST SHUT UP!!!!

Perhaps the police chief is not doing this because he dislikes sagging. They are obviously profiling to stop greater crimes. It really comes down to a balance. How far should we let authorities inconvenience rights to protect the public. The police chief probably has proper motives but he choice is over zealous and over the line. He should reconsider his decision if not it will probably be reconsidered for him.

Hoteyes, I am 6'4" also and have been slim/skinny my whole life. I know it is hard to find clothes to fit as we are outside what most retailers will stock profitably. Finding clothes may be hard but not impossible and it doesn't open the door for dressing inapropriately. Whatever happened to looking clean, sharp, and dressed to impress? That's what my grandparents & uncles taught me from an early age and I have always been known as "very sharp" If you are on your way to, or coming back from the gym, ok wear what you want. Besides, why do so many people want to dress like everyone else. Men should dress like men who are about something instead of looking like they are headed to the gym.

For those of you that don't know sagging did start in prison because they don't allow belts there. Flint residents should be outraged their tax dollars are paying this man to deal with this. Imagine how the crime rate could climb while the police waste time and resources on this silly issue. If stopping sagging would solve problems such as crime, the economy, domestic violence, and child abuse, I would be all for it. Imagine if a man pulling up his pants helped there to be no more crime or economic hardship. Wouldn't that be great. This is not the problem and ticketing and arresting "offenders" is not the answer. Dick needs to get a clue..
