It's cartooning, and don't be shocked if someday Obama is depicted as a teleprompter machine from the shirt collar up.

Larry Johnson and others are going to FORCE an inquiry. Here is a snippet........

The following report was written for TD/NQ by Techdude, who hurried to complete it after his tires were slashed and a mutilated rabbit was found hanging by his front door. He is currently working on another exclusive follow-on report.

Who threatened Techdude, and why? And if his findings are correct, why did Barack Obama publish a fake Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) on his own website, FightTheSmears, and on DailyKos?

Well, well, well....what's up with this??? We will all find out soon. Check out the entire investigation.

Comment: Obama is slipping in the polls because he opposes offshore drilling, and because he was completely wrong about the surge. McCain was right about the surge, and he is also right about offshore drilling. The cartoons are just a distraction from the real issues. And on the real issues, Obama is either too left wing (refusal to drill), or an opportunistic flip-flopper (Iraq, FISA).

    • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/21/2008 1:22:18 AM

Comment: Obama was not wrong about the surge. While it has decreased violence in Iraq, Violence and casualties have increased in Afghanistan, where the REAL enemy is. The surge can not be taken in a vacuum.

Iraq has taken our eyes off the real enemy (al Queda in Iraq was never more than a few bit players). Now al Queda and the Taliban have gotten stronger In Afghanistan and Pakistan because Bush was too dumb to realize how much his Iraq policy actually hurt the real war on terror.

Comment: Lost in the Repugs Kool-aid....The oil companies need to develop the leases they already have! This is about the rich grabbing more when they don't need it. This won't reduce gas prices. Our refineries are already at maximum capacity. McCain is a corporate oil puppet just like Bush is.

Comment: Are Americans more comfortable with conventional politicians who look like Nazis or will they take a calculated bet and vote for the person with the most intelligence?

I like to think the latter; we'll see in November. We get the president we most deserve. I only hope we pick the best man (Obama) and not the most mediocre (McSame).

Comment: It's the combination of the willingness to say anything to cultivate a useful image, along with the sneaking suspicion that his core beliefs (if any) are frivolous or downright unsavory, that may do Obama's campaign in.

As for the usual "racist" accusation that's thrown around (including in the comments below), i'd be strongly disinclined to vote for any candidate who was unduly preoccupied with racial identities. That goes for Obama as much as for David Duke. Similarly, I'm as radical a feminist as you're ever likely to meet, but I wouldn't vote for a candidate who blamed most public ills on the victimization of women. What I want from a political leader is policies that work, not ones that provide excuses for failure.

    • Posted By: Perusing-through @ 07/20/2008 5:56:50 PM

Comment: To Texan99 ??? I see you have employed the typical "GOP Misdirection Strategy". The strategy is not to face the truth head-on. Just throw a curve to misdirect the subject. Now let us break it down on how you did.

(1.) My target was the media and all its talking heads. Not the voters and not the candidates.

(2.) My issue was the numerous code words used by media talking heads and political hacks to mask underlying racial biases of voters. Such words as "Appalachians find Obama a bit too EXOTIC", (paraphrasing Newsweek author Ms. Clift). Or . . . "Obama has to dialogue and close the 'cultural gap' "! Why??

(3.) Now reread my comments and notice that NO WHERE IN THE ENTIRE COMMENT DO I EVEN INSINUATE OBAMA COMPLAINING OF RACIAL BIASES. IN FACT OBAMA DOES NOT DO IT TO A FAULT.

(4.) But your response is about your personal values being too high to vote for a person claiming to be victim of racism or sexism. I never said Obama played the race card. This was 'clearly' not the point or the target of my comment. My target is the sugar-coating political hacks and media types. Your response was 100% off the mark, probably a GOP Misdirection Strategy.

Finally, racism is about as prevalent as lying, stealing, cheating, hatred and a thousand other sins. We as a nation face these sins and vices head-on through a multitude of channels and find successes while doing so. (P.S. - - Racism is one sin I notice the hypocritical Religious Right dread to go when in their pulpits). BUT FOR REASONS PUZZLING TO ME, WE AS A NATION REFUSE TO FACE AMERICA'S 350-YEAR OLD RACISM ISSUES HEAD-ON; EVEN WHEN IT'S THE 800-LB GORILLA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOST HISTORIC CAMPAIGN IN U.S. HISTORY.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 07/20/2008 10:35:44 AM

Comment: So are you voting for McSame to get the "policies that work" we got with Bush? God, that's really scary.

I think Obama is a savvy politician, and he is moving toward the center to allay fears that he is "too liberal" so more people will vote for him. That's his business, that is what politicians try to do - get elected.

Nobody has turned his coat on the issues more often than McCain in the past 10 years. You cannot possibly uphold that idiot as the panacea for all ills who will be our shining example of a good leader?

The Navy would not promote him beyond Captain, which is pretty darn lowly, and he nearly flunked out of this last year at the Naval Academy. He used to be a bit of a playboy and he married a trophy wife who looks like Stepford Wife Robots, and divorced his first wife to do so. Cindy McSame is a former drug addict and has the IQ of a teenager, and if McSame picks Romney as his VEEP that will be another robot will do anything, say anything, project anything to get elected.

So what else is new in US Politics? Same old, same old...

Comment: I think Obama will be whatever faith you want him to be to become president. The guy clearly doesn't want anything to do with Muslims after being born into the religion. He quits the church in order to look good, but he preaches to church going people everday that he promotes change and will be a different president. This guy is full of it and if the American people elect this guy into the White House we will be the biggest idiots for electing a person with no experience, no character, and no since of pride to be who or what he wants to be. I feel that a man is only as good as he has shown and this guy has change his mind over and over, things you cant do if you are president. You have to commit to a project and see it through....that is leadership and that is what McCain will do .

  • Posted By: Perusing-through @ 07/20/2008 8:22:21 AM

    Comment: .
"EXOTIC, UNKNOWN, DIFFERENT" - - IN THIS CAMPAIGN; ALL CODE WORDS TO MASK RACIAL BIASES.

    Quote from Eleanor Clift's article:
"The reason Obama is ahead by only a handful of points in a political environment poisonous for Republicans is because of lingering concern over his "exotic" (that's the code word) name and background."

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You nailed it Ms. Clift. But at the end of the day whether its "exotic", "unknown', or "a different politician", they are still code words to mask racism. The word "racist" may sound too hard but you guys in the media have got to stop sugar-coating and masking the obvious sins of the people.

Based on exit polls taken in West Virginia and Kentucky primaries, at least 40% of Hillary???s votes came from Whites that will never under any condition vote a Black man to be their Commander-in-Chief. 20% openly acknowledge that fact to a clipboard carrying exit pollsters - - - aka, a strangers. Logical deduction concludes at least another 20% chose to do the same but hide their sins. And amazingly 10%-to-40% of the Hillary votes in all the contest since Texas/Ohio primaries said they will switch back to McCain in the general elections.

It is a bit disingenuous for politicians, talking heads, and party hacks to claim in a year the Republican Party is "Dead Man Walking", but somehow only trail the smartest, wisest, most authentic Christian presidential nominee since Abraham Lincoln, to claim it is just a "cultural gap" for Senator Obama to close with dialog. All the dialog in the world is not going to close the cultural gap between the 40% racist-White voters of Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Appalachian region and Almighty GOD'S hand picked leader to save America. You want proof, look no further then the die-hard confederate's inability to acknowledge the simple facts: (1.) the south lost, (2.) it was always about slavery, (3.) Lincoln was right to unite the nation, (4.) and they killed they're own brothers to the north in defiance of GOD'S WILL to bring freedom to a people of this land.

I am not one to throw racist accusations around so frivolously. But the way I see it the credibility of the news media has been steadily declining since they went mute on the run up to the Iraq invasion. The media was relatively mute then, and the media is relatively mute on the issue of race in this presidential campaign.

Comment: It was perfectly obvious that the cover was just another way to accuse conservatives of racism and bigotry. There was nothing sophisticated about it at all. Since the left has no substantive message of its own on how our society should be managed, this is all they have. The irony is that it was democrats who started the rumor that obama was a Muslim and it has been democrats who have been using racist and bigoted code words since the beginning of his campaign. The reaction to the New Yorker cover is just another example of how people need to lighted up and have a sense of humor. If we are ever going to have real racial equality then people are going to have to learn to laugh.

Comment: I had a good laugh over the satire cover from the New Yorker. It helps to laugh sometimes with all the bad news covered from A-Z.

I also had a good laugh presented by the Libyian President Omar Quafidi when he recently gave a speech that was carried live on Al Jazeera TV being beamed to all the Muslim nations (57 of them). In this speech he asks the question of what has happened to our Black Kenyian Muslim brother Obama? He gave a speech in which he told the Jews he would support their right to Jersualem which belongs to Muslims. Has he sold out to the white people in America? How can he expect us to support him unless he supports us?

Can anyone on any board answer the following question which he posed. Quafidi stated that our Muslim brother joined a Christian Church in Chicago and had been a member for 20 years, but, what faith was he following for the 26 years prior to joining this church? This church supports and works the Muslim Brotherhood so maybe not all is lost.

Comment: I had a good laugh at the satire cover of Senator Obama. I also had a good laugh on the Omar Quafidi speach he gave that was run on Al Jareeza TV that is sent into the entire Muslim world. He asks what has happened to our Kenyian black Muslim brother? He gave us such great hope and then he tells the Jews that he will defend their right to Jersualem! What is wrong with our brother, has he sold us our to the whites in America?
Senator Obama is now 46 years old and he joined the Unity Church 20 years ago by his own words. So that leaves 26 years in between. What was he for these 26 years? This is what Omar Quafidi is saying, that in reality Senator Obama is a Muslim and the church he joined supports the Muslim Brotherhood.

Comment: Which candidate would support the following energy solution proposal, Obama or McCain?

Proposal: We know that the US Navy has been installing the S5W reactor in ships for about 50 years. These are perhaps the best reactors ever designed (they were designed by Admiral Rickover). These reactors have never had an accident. They are small and powerful. They can be transported on a RR flatcar. They can be returned to the factory for refueling. They can be cooled with fresh or salt water.

Let American cities purchase and install S5W reactors and distribute the power generated to rate payers. Set up S5W installations to generate hydrogen fuel which in turn may power cars and trucks.

Comment: The reason the New Yorker cartoon got traction is that it has a truthful basis. The facts are that Obama did wear muslim garb, he did attend a medrassa, his birth name is Baraca Hussein Obama, he did identify with a church that defined itself by giving Louis Farrakhan a life achievement award, he did say that rural folks cling to their guns and religion, he did say that his grandmother is a typical white person - she is afraind of black men, his wife did say that she has never been proud of America.

There is a longtime tradition in political advertising to look beyond the message to the subtext -- and even to the subliminal.

In that spirit, a veteran Democratic operative offers an interesting observation of the newly released anti-Obama Web video produced by the McCain campaign. The VIDEO is an EIGHT-MINUTE montage of sometimes CONTRADICTORY statements about the Iraq war made by Sen. Barack Obama. (Continued in full article link below).

I dont know why the MSM and the O-bots are constantly trying to convince everyone he is not a Muslim and has never been involved with Islam. To me this is the highest insult, that we are all so stupid, ignorant, racist (take your pick) that we just can't see what is obvious or cannot add 1+1 to get 2. Comment: To those who disparage Obama: what are you offering America. McCain?
McCain is a cheating, flip-flopping, muddled politician who thought the Iraq war would be a cakewalk. He continually says that his closest advisors don't represent his (McCain"s) own beliefs. Yet only recently, McCain praised the same people he is disavowing now. If McCain disagrees so strongly with his closest advisors, why did he make them advisors in the first place? McCain is obviously lying about this issue.
Obama is a paragon of virtue when McCain's distortions are considered.

    No McCain in '08!

Comment: While Obama made opposition to the Iraq war his signal issue, McCain recommended a surge. McCain was right and Obama was wrong. McCain also has the sensible approach to a strong economy (low taxation and low federal spending) and reduced energy costs (offshore drilling and nuclear power). Obama is opposed to new drilling and to nuclear power. Obama is an inexperienced novice opporturnist, while McCain has the seasoned wisdom that only comes with good sense and long experience. McCain is also a patriot that nobody doubts, while Obama is suspect of being an America hater that only wants change to the far left.

Comment: desertgirl, maybe if there had been regulations on the lending institutions by the government, we would not be having the home foreclosures!! Talk about increased govt spending!! Have you had your head in the sand? The current administration has run up enormous debt on a needless war and has NEGLECTED our country. From all the deaths and damage done by Katrina and the latest storms and the rising Mississippi River, we find out the levees were in poor shape and could not retain the waters. Just a couple of examples where some portion of those billions of dollars could have been spent to fix those levees and prevent such damages and loss of lives. It is so funny to see/hear you Republicans try and discredit a man who has more wisdom and vision than that member of the geriatric political brigade, McCain, who believes his being shot down and taken POW 35 years ago qualifies him for the Office of the Presidency. Everybody calls him a hero for being a POW. Do you know the man was reprimanded by his commanders? They told him he would NEVER make admiral; he had shamed the McCain name, his unit, the U.S.Navy, and The United States of America. McCain had to have committed major infractions to merit such severe reprimands! I wonder if this is why McCain sealed his military records?? As far as the hero portion, McCain was never awarded "THE METAL OF HONOR"!! This metal is reserved for the TRUE HEROES. By claiming he is a hero because of being a POW, McCain is demeaning our TRUE HEROES, those superbly brave military who literally risk their own lives by putting the lives of their troops before their own. A good number of our these selfless members of our military have received "The Metal of Honor" posthumously. Perhaps McCain would answer WHY he decided to return to the target he had just hit?? WHY was he flying low and slow?? This is really bizarre!! Did he want to look at the carnage he had caused?? As far as I know, once a target is attacked, the pilot immediately returns or it home base. There is a lot about McCain we do not know! And frankly, I do not trust him; he'll be the second coming of GWB and we'll get more of the sameo, sameo.

Comment: In every joke a little truth. I think the Obama's set themselves up for this. Thiers is clearly a different kind of patriotism and Obama surely is not the sort of cheerleader in chief the country years for.

Worse their reaction has portrayed them as sour and humorless people who are hypertensive and cannot take a joke. Those are not the best of qualities to look for in a first couple.

The New Yorker cartoon touched a raw nerve and picked a scab that the Obama's had self-inflicted -- going back to her Princeton thesis and negative remarks about this country as recently as this Spring and with his having found Jesus in at the knee of bigoted man who has contempt for America but affection for Louis Farrakhan and Muamur Quadafi.

It's ain't all that complicated, folks.

Couple this with Obama being on the wrong side of the war and energy debates and you have the makings of a draft Hillary movement!

Comment: The fact that Barack denies his Muslim roots so vehemently tells me he is politically expedient in in big way. Being Muslim is not in style in America today, so he will deny his father, his name, his genes, and his upbringing to distance himself from a perceived threat to his presidential aspirations. What difference does it make what religion you are? God is God, regardless of what format you wish to worship. Then, comparing himself to John F. Kennedy constantly is deranged, and tasteless. Kennedy served his country in a world war, and received this nations highest honor for it, as well as ultimately giving his life in service to his country. I find it revolting that Barack is trying to come off as the second coming, and someone we can't live without. Al Gore would have had the same platform on most issues, maybe he just doesn't have the charisma, and in this T.V. age that is Barack's real claim to fame.

But if you feel better because the Germans are getting weak-kneed over B. Hussein, remember that it has taken them nearly 50 years to crawl out of the ashes of that previous choice. So I feel glad that you feel glad that Europe welcomes B. Hussein. Perhaps instead to speaking at Victory Column, he should be speaking from the bottom of the Winged Ash Bin to better reflect his German environment. Long live Europe!

All of us bitter, gun-toting, and religion clinging voters probably just look at the Internet pictures without reading the elitist scorn about why we question Obama's ties to people like Rashid Khalidi who speaks with Ahmadinejad (Columbia visit) and Bill Ayers. We ask why Raila Odinga says Obama is his cousin, why Obama campaigned for him, and these little things that the media ignores.

        Comment: NAME-CALLING

When one is called a Racist, a Bigot, a White Supremacist, the arguer is not simply trying to define a person's position but is trying to define a person. When in the course of debate, one is called by someone a racist, et al, that person is not trying to clarify an argument but to end one. Racist is not an argument, it is a pejorative. Let's allow Jared Taylor of the New Century Foundation explain:

If someone calls you a RACIST s/he has completely shifted his ground and is not dealing with facts or logic anymore. He is saying You are bad!, which is PURE EMOTION. Prof. Michael Levin, author of Why Race Matters, says this kind of CHILDISH OUTBURST makes no more sense than calling someone a POOPOO-HEAD. Grownups do it only because it works, and it works only because so many whites are invertebrates.

The silliness of the RACISM charge is especially clear if you are talking about racial differences in IQ. Just point out that the only legitimate issue is how to interpret the evidence. Your conclusions are either right or wrong. If someone stops trying to explain why you are wrong and instead starts calling you names, it is a sure sign he cannot explain why you are wrong, hich is because you are right. They not only lie about the good senator from Illinois, they downright slaner him and call him every ugly name in the book!! Then they call his supports cultists, ignorant, stupid, Obamaheads, mindless sheep, etc, etc. I have never in my life witness such hate as these folks spew. Comment: i have decided that Clift is stupid, stupid, stupid. She thinks that everyone who hears Obama speak would readily support him and doesn't consider (as most reporters don't) that the fact that people don't support him is b/c they do not believe in his liberal agenda. It not b/c people are shallow or racist as she implies. Obama is the emperor with no clothes who believes in raising taxes in a recession. No one would be elected with this platform except the candidate that makes the conversation about "change" rather than "reality". And we all will be the worse for it. Most european economies are basically socialist so why wouldnt they welcome Obama's election.

Comment: We are not in a recession (based on the evidence so far). That doesn't mean we couldn't end up in one.

And for those who study financial history, raising taxes during economic downturns (like recessions) makes things worse AND can even cause or worsen a depression.

Comment: The cover is satirizing things said or implied repeatedly by cable news networks about Obama; questions about his patriotism, his wife's "radicalism," his religion and upbringing, are raised over and over again on tv, starting with Fox, migrating to CNN, then spreading from there. Why are you attacking the satire of this, which -- even if it fails completely to be understood as satire by some or many -- is much less harmful to Obama or to simple accuracy than the original slanders that this cover tries to mock? Where is your indignant article about the claims made on Fox that Obama is a Muslim, that they have a "secet tape" of Michelle, that he may be an anti-Semite deep down, etc., etc.? To attack a New Yorker cover cartoon and stay silent about Sean Hannity false accusations and insinuations? Maybe it's because you're a regular on Fox yourself?

Also, he is so backwards, he doesn't even know how to use a computer!!! Obviously he has made no effort to stay abreast of modern technology!! Has made no effort to take classes and smarten up on economics either. He is out of touch with the modern world, the country and us, the people. Why should he concern himself with what is actually going on with our middleclass and the poor? He has seven, yes, seven houses and never has to worry about any personal financial problems, he never has to worry about having enough food to eat or a warm bed in which to sleep. The man is behind the times. McCain just wants to be president before he keels over. Afterall, he believes his POW status of 35 years ago prepared him for the Presidency !

It is a well documented fact that the Missus hates the U.S. As to Mr. Obama himself, one need only look at the hate filled church he belonged to for 20 years to get the idea that Obama likely has Muslim "hate the U.S." ideas. Just because shills for the Mainstream Media insist that Obama is some kind of Christian means nothing. The MSM will say anything to help Obama and hurt McCain. While the New Yorker cover may be a little overblown, there is much truth to it!

The majority of people who will see this cover (and by now, almost everyone must have) cannot discern it's satirical intent as most of us are unwilling to think past sound bites or visuals. Others who get it will use it to propagandize for someone (McCain) who is unfit for office due to his lame campaign, flip-flops, disdain for women, and questionable mental capacity. The New Yorker, by dislaying this cartoon, joined the ranks of the corporate media who do not report any of the reasons (just the truth will do) not to vote for .McCain.

Comment: The damage President Bush has done to America's image abroad is greatly exaggerated. That one under experienced politician like Obama Barack can single handedly change the world' s perception of The USA is extremely rediculous and it shows a lack of insight by those who think this way. If one man can change the world's perception of the US, it shows how irrellevent that perception is and how twisted it is. The worlds perception of the US will not improve for long if Obama becomes president, because the world will see that the US no longer has a strong and good leader.

    • Posted By: a brighter America 08 @ 07/20/2008 4:09:26 AM

Comment: Really? You consider GWB a strong an good leader?? Okay, you are entitled to your opinion. No, Senator Obama cannot singlehandedly change the world; however he will make a good start by being more open to world leaders. Nothing has ever worked well when our President labels other countries as the Axis of Evil. Look at how the world looks at us, we have lost total respect!! Other leaders are "polite" to our current president. His rating as President is now at about 26-27. NOT good!! I think a lot of people underestimate Senator Obama's power, yes, power. He is a strong and powerful man and wants to SERVE our country. You see, Barack Obama comes from humble beginnings, has worked hard to get to where he's at and I applaud him that at age 46 he is running for president of this great nation. He has done it on his merit. He does not have the power of a political family, he is not riding on anybody's coattails, and I give him kudos for that also. What Barack Obama brings are good character, integrity, good judgement, wisdom, vision, outstaniding leadership qualities, outstanding financial managerial skills. He is brilliant, smart, and extremely intelligent. To me, all these qualities chump the false claims of experience, such as McCain is using. FACT: NOONE HAS THE PRESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE UNLESS HE/SHE IS THE INCUMBENT AND IS RUNNING FOR REELECTION.

Obama is by far the more talented, and his wife is fabulous - smart, well educated and charming, powerful in her own right and in her own previous career, and a true role-model for girls across this nation - just as Hillary was and still is for many women and girls... The Conservatives picked on Hillary too.

The image on the New Yorker cartoon has people confused. Americans just don't "get" satire, irony, parody and the rest - not eve Hollywood does a good job in its creative efforts at these conceits. There is just not a good literary or artistic appreciation of these vehicles of expression - it's too complicated. And Elinor is right - many dummies will misinterpret the magazine cover and see it as reinforcement of the image.

But MOST Americans have a sense of humor and will take a cartoon as just that - satirirical humor... and forget about all the agonizing, hand-wringing, wimpering and maniacal extremists on the Right who are just as potentially damaging to America as the intensity of their patriotic vitriol to the opposite intent!

Comment: Yeah, he's talented alright. Talented at giving a decent speech. And hey he can even use a teleprompter. And he looks good in a suit. Let's vote him in NOW!

Comment: There are many things that might have made this cartoon funny, how about the cartoon as a thought of some obvious bigots? Or not-- what if a prominent Jewish friend of McCain's such as Lieberman was portrayed as a Zionist Nazi along with all the usual Jewish hate crap thrown in-- would this be as funny as the Obama cartoon? I don't think so.

Comment: Yeah, I have to wonder how many Zioinists grace the editorial halls of the New Yorker, BTW. Perhaps they thought this was a good punch at Obama for not caring to lead us into a war against Iran on behalf of the mad-chicken Israeli state that we supply with nuclear and all other types of weapons.

Comment: Why do all the dumbest people across this country support McSame?

Why do all the so-called "elites" and educated college grads in the urban centers tend to support Obama?

Because we are TIRED of being led by MORONs in the White House. THAT's the CHANGE that a new, fresh, SMART and polished communicative leader will bring - INTELLIGENCE and INFLUENCE - to the entire world, not just for the benefit of our countrymen.

Why is there still such reactionary resistance? Let the good thing happen and stop agonizing over whether or not this candidate is an elitist, an effect intellectual and an "exotic" personage. We need to get the BEST PERSON POSSIBLE into the WHITE HOUSE and this is NOT John McSame. That would be as bad or worse than allowing Mr. Bush Jr. to be "elected" by hook or by CROOK for two terms. We should CRAVE A HUGE CHANGE from this illegal, illicit, CHEATING, LYING WHITE HOUSE and PRESIDENT - and DISTANCE OURSELVES as far as humanly possible from a similar path ni the next four years.

DO NOT ELECT McSAME, McPAIN, McCAIN'T, McCOMPLAINT, McBubba, McMoron. It would be setting us back another 50 years and putting us on a sure course toward DECLINE. An aging, doddering old man with stale, old ideas backed by a derelict and obsolete GOP and a Trophy Wife who looks like she is a Stepford Robot.... You can't tell me that the majority of Americans will settle for this ultra-cliche of a Presidential candidate, this sheer and utter mediocrity, this lack of innovation, creativity and intelligence???

    Americans are better than that!

Comment: Your "elites" and Urban college graduates obviously think they are better than that, but then you guys have your noses so far up in the air you have no idea how real America thinks. You guys went for Kerry big time yet his scholastic record was worse than Bush's. The manner in which you have written your comment betrays the worst kind of bigotry as you call most Americans dumb (far less than 50% are college graduates) while all the while you express support for a guy that if he were white would not be seriously considered for the office by anyone. Dispute that if you like.

Comment: How educated and intelligent is it to call other people names rather than to argue based on facts and policies? It just makes people who insult others look equally stupid.
