    To the two postings that stated the church wouldn't care if it was women, the church absolutely would care. The church teaches modesty, chastity, honesty, etc. To the one about the multiple lives, that person surely knows nothing about the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there are no members of the church that practice polygamy. If a member of the church marries more than one person, they will also be excommunicated. It sure shows someones ignorance to post things as though they know they are true but have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. signed Taxmomma

    This whole issue is crap! Such hypocrosy! Oh, the church has a problem with these young, handsome men having their pictures taken with their 'shirts off' (heaven help them) because they didn't abide by their rules of modesty and sexual conservatism... On the other hand, it's perfectly OK for them to go back home to Utah (The Promised Land) and marry 6 wives and procreate to the high heavens because THAT'S more in line with their teachings and beliefs!! Give me a break! They certainly aren't modest while they're impregnating multiple partners... They're certainly being seen with more than their shirts off to make that happen! No, the real problem here is the church didn't want any gay men (gasp) or single women to view their young men as sexual objects because that's reserved for MORMONS only!!! Ridiculous!! Call it whatever you want... it's ridiculous... I can't wait for the "self-love" videos to come out... Now, THAT would be something to talk about!

    The problem is that mormon missionaries live by strict guidelines and they are to live with these high standards because they are considered representatives of the LDS church.They have a reputation for being clean young men. Putting a lusty beefcake photo next to their missionary photo doesn't exactly give the church a good reputation. It would be like taking the pope and doing the same thing with him and expecting no one to care. It is basically advertising that the LDS church has some guys looking for a good time instead of what mormon missionaries are really out their doing.

    This gentlemen chose to not be a part of the church 6 years ago and is not doing things that are appropriate to God's standards, not the LDS church standards. Of any religion God does not promote the exploitation of the body He so majestically created. It is a shame that the article was falsely written and unresearched as Mr. Hardy has not been in harmony with the church standards for sometime. His actions here are evidence of that.

    Look, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is a true and sacred church on this earth. I love my religion and am sticking by it. You can find things wrong with every church and every religion, but I love my religion and am sick of seeing it ridiculed. There is nothing wrong with our faith or the things we believe in.

    My father was kidnapped and held for ransom by LDS church members. I have been shot at, run over, threatened, house and cars broke into and stolen by LDS church members. I was illegaly jailed after walking to my house to check the mail and was told personally by the Sheriff if I came back to church then all the error would stop and that he (being a local mafia leader calling themselves the Danites of the White Mountains) would make my life a whole lot easier. This kind of behavior is VERY prevalent in the LDS church and people pretend that terrorist cells don't exist in the LDS church. My family lost everything to these criminals. My family started the LDS faith in 1820. My GreatGreat Grandpa is Jessie N. Smith. 5 wives and 44 children. Go to hell you arragant ignorant satanists...

You are obviously very naive The Mormon church banned polygamy a very long time ago and have distincly made that known. So get your facts straight before you bash on a religion you clearly know nothing about! The mormon church has always been VERY kind to my family...

    It is not a fact that the LDS is in need of money. Where are you getting your facts. I think the problem here is that missionaries for the LDS church live by strict guidelines and standards and they have a good reputation for that. Putting lustful photos up next to their missionary photos isn't exactly making a statement that says the LDS church has standards of modesty and cleanliness that church members strive to live by. It is very distasteful. It's like taking the pope and having him do that same thing and then not thinking that is would bother anyone.

    Funny as it may sound, I spent half my childhood with the LDS faith and even converted my parents all because of a few hot missionaries that were at a friends house. I will not divulge his name but, he was very handsome. My mother became the missionary mom so they were around all the time. I was so boy crazy, I didn't mind joining a religion without knowing enough about it. Years later, I realized that the beliefs were not for me, but I had a great time. I spent a lot of time with individuals from the church and was blessed to meet and get to know some wonderful people. It would have never happened without the initial greeting from elder *****.

    you guys telling us LDS that we are misguided? i think we are coz they didnt teach us to have sex to different people and we dont drink, smoke we keep our body CLEAN... so what is this all about now? about religion ot just a guy with a naked chest?????????? what was wrong with that?

    I think that until you know and I mean know this religion with your heart you won't fully inderstand the principle's behind every action taken by our church we believe in free agencie of your choices and some don't always make one with their heart. I think that untill you have read the book of mormon and have attended our church and taken the missionary lessons a lot of people would truly understand if you have an open heart, everything is about perspective in everyone's eyes and its how someone percieve's that perspective. and to some this calendar could be showing of the sexuality and some it may not but our church does not want that perspective to be sexuality and if that in any way shows that then it may not have been done in the best of ways. all this comes down to would you say or do things in front of your heavenly father and if he said it was not right in the way of you doing things would you then mock him, cause if you would then you don't have respect for your father and if you don't have respect for your father then you don't for our prophets that he has set forth, to mock their judgement is mocking your heavenly father, people loose sight to want path is the right path the will try to justify it for remake to fit their idea of right instead of taking the won that is already built,

      Every religion has things that are hard to understand, or believe, even for true believers. The LDS church is very unknown and misunderstood in America- I think this out of hand criticizing and condemning is ill thought out and hurtful- If you fear something you don't know- LEARN- don't dump the LDS church out of hand because of bad press or mistaken beliefs- don't hate people that may very well pick you up when you need them- offer the hand of friendship instead- your closest neighbors may be LDS, and ready to welcome you with love and caring.
