Comment: I don't see what difference it makes that they are going after African's committing genocide rather than others perceived have perpetuated atrocities. In reality those who are easier to catch and less guarded will always be caught first. The Africans which have been indicted by this court have clearly committed the crimes necessary to be indicted and therefore should be prosecuted. Is your argument to let them go because others are still committing crimes? That's like saying we can't arrest anyone until everyone is caught doing that same crime. That's assinine.

Comment: Kudos to Ocampo the prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, who recently engaged an arrest warrant for Sudans president, Omar Hassan al-Bashir, on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity. Zimbabwes Robert Mugabe ought to start chewing his fingernails in panic for having long embarked on a campaign of terror against a defenseless nation and the horrors families have endured during his reign.

It???s high time these dictators truly imagined the possible hesitant walk to the gallows for the thousands of countless atrocities theyve committed to victims dead and alive, at home and abroad.

Whether the Sword of justice falls on Mugabe or he himself falls on the sword, he will one day come face to face with the sword.

Our duty as true justice and democracy seekers, is to tirelessly push nations with media freedoms and human rights organizations to lobby relevant authorities, such as the Carla De Pontes and the Luis Moreno-Ocampos of the world to spotlight Mugabe???s continued terror against political opponents and his agenda to obliterate innocent people of opposing tribe, race and color who have an opinion other than that of this ruling party.
The ICC must, uncompromisingly seek to bring Mugabe to book -The time is now, evil shall fall down before the good: and the wicked before the gates of the just.

Comment: On any day in Geneva Swizerland you can see those responsible for war crimes ----- not yet wanted by "The Hague" or their children walking down the street. The children are there going to elite schools and the criminal are there checking the bank accounts. To me the Swiss are just as guilty.

July 18, 2008 ??? International Law must be delivered with the right procedures and indubitable evidences if it has to be credited as objective justice. This Law of Nations must not be biased with politics of selfish competition in the international and global interests. This Law must always be the servant of security, stability, order and peace and not vice versa. This Law must not be put as a ???Blockage Cart??? before the ???Horse of Peace??? and ???Political Progress??? in the Sudan. It must not be used as a tool of ???Political Pressure??? on Sudan Government by the non-signatory to it like USA Government or by the signatory to it like the Governments of France and UK, among others. It must not also be abused by the Civil Society Lobby Groups like ???Save Darfur Coalition??? and ???Human Rights Watch??? who are good at nothing except exaggerating the statistics of the dead and displaced Darfurians and wishing them ever lasting suffering for the benefit of expatriates.

Yes, it is true that ???Justice delayed is Justice denied??? but it is even truer that ???Peace disturbed is Peace destroyed.??? Peace is a greater good than Justice and that is why the United Nations got founded on it rather than on Justice. Justice can wait because Peace is a priority to it. The current President of African Union, Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania, understands the value of peace in Africa very well when he warned the ICC Western agents to avoid creating chaos in the continent by trying to indict the sitting President of the Sudan and lock him behind the Criminal Bars in The Hague. The Arab League Secretary-General, Amr Musa, said "the situation is very serious and very dangerous???the search for justice should not jeopardize the other priorities in Sudan." African Union Peace and Security Commissioner, Ramtane Lamamra, said ???ICC targeting of African High Officials is unacceptable??? Why have the ICC???s first four cases targeted African conflicts only? Is this an attempt to prove that Africa knows nothing best about government except to murder its citizens in a genocider manner?

Liberia???s Charles Taylor in 2006 and Yugoslavia???s Slobodan Milosevic in 1993 were the only Heads of States tried in the International Courts but that was done when they were out of power. Can Ocampo wait until Sudan ratify the Rome Statute and until Al Bashir becomes a former Head of State, and perhaps until Sudan become a ???Failed State??? without effective judiciary for him to make his case relevance?

Comment: When a British investigator [Tom Parker] is appointed to investigate war crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC), then we should expect him to focus on Anglo-American enemies, and Omar al Bashir
was a predictable start. Maybe Robert Mugabe will be next. And it brings back to memory how Canadian
prosecutor, Carla De Ponte, received her appointment to the Special Tribunal for Crimes in former Yugoslavia. Reports had surfaced in the media at that time that then U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright had promised Carla De Ponte U.S. help for an appointed at the Canadian Supreme Court if she
    succeeded to convict Slobodan Milosevic.

And this brings to mind who has the clout to appoint the investigators in the ICC. Certainly Tom Parker would
like to indict Vladimir Putin for crimes in Chechnya, and the Chinese president for crimes in Tibet. But he doesn't want to start like an Anglo-American mercenary -especially since the U.S. is not a member of the ICC- and, certainly, charging leaders of countries with global superpower status will cause Tom Parker
his job. And this limitation tells us that the ICC can only target small fish.

Does Omar al Bashir deserves an indictment? Certainly. But compare to how much death and destruction
George Bush has caused in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bashir looks more like a punk in a street gang - not like a ruthless gang leader. But then, Bush is an elephant and therefore untouchable. And this brings us to the next question: Who can bring whom to justice in the ICC?

At a minimum, the ICC should have started by appointing investigators from neutral countries, like Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, etc. But it seems to me that the Bashir indictment by the Ocampo-Parker ICC team is a "deja vu" of the Carla De Ponte and Slobodan Milosevic precedent. Comment: How can they honestly do such a thing when President Bush and ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair have not been charged with the equally serious war crimes they have perpetrated in Iraq? It is bald-faced hypocrisy.

Comment: Why so much fuss.with Sudan's Arab Government? There is no doubt that that government led by the liar, creator of deception and treacherous President Omar al Bashir is guilty of propagation of ethnic cleansing of the southern Sudanese people. With thousands and thousands of witnesses like NGO's,UN Peacekeepers,,Journalists all over the world and ironically some of the evildoers themselves, captured prisoners and defectors, what's the fuss with Bashir and his murderous cronies? This very obvious genocidal murdering have to be stopped now It has been going on for many, many years now. This has to be stopped NOW!
