    Miley is very sweet. People listen she is just trying to get this out, like if were mad we take it out. She was trying to let stuff out its a one time thing if you look at the others who do this they take it over the top Miley didn't. I think it was good she did it now instead of later or she would loose her fans just like the others did, or they lost alot because parents made them stop listening or watching them. The parents are afarid the kids will get hurt. But they wont.

    Why should anyone judge her. Yeah she is young , and it was her choice not ours yeah we want it to be but its not so you know what leave her alone.She is a very good person, but she got cough up in the bad crowed at least once but we all do. I know because i have been there and now i am a great person. It is a one time thing only so leave her alone because she does not need all this crap. I think it is a good thing she did it now instead of later, because think of Spears she did it later and now she has little fans same with a lot of others. This is her one time only thing she just needed to get it out before it was to late, and now people are treating her like shes a peace of nothing. How would you like it other people treated you like that, you might not like it so think how Miley feels. So i say just leave her alone.

    What is this nonsense? She is not a Child! She is a Young Adult Woman...

    Only in the Anglo-American culture do we treat young adults as children and they then insist on behaving as such.

    Nowhere else in the world do they restrict them from by law and culture (only by principle not effectively since that is thoroughly unrealistic and impossible) from sex and alcohol and most perfectly natural and normal processes of development and inclinations of life. As well as their Human Rights to make decisions about their own lives, bodies and relationships, free from the intrusion of outside entities. There are some sort of similar laws in some countries that are applied in completely different ways that are compatible with the rights of the youths and culture but nothing like what we have.

      Frankly, I am not that far removed from being a teen myself (7 years, as I am 26) and I find your premise rather horrifying. Teens should be able to "make decisions about their own bodies?" Like having sex? Well, what happens when a 15-year old "making a decision about her own body" gets pregnant? Usually, her parents are the ones stuck with bearing much of the financial cost for that 15-year old to raise her child. If the parents refuse, WE get stuck with footing the bill for the child's healthcare, foods, etc.

      As far as drinking, if you didn't know, at one time we actually lowered the drinking age to 18 after kids complained that "we're old enough to go to war but not old enough to drink a beer before we leave." What happened was that kids started acting like fools, not showing up to class and getting DUIS. Therefore the law changed AGAIN. Anyone who went to college and lived at a dorm also knows that kids who drink underage often do it irresponsibly. I wouldn't mind RAISING the drinking age.

      The fact is that most teens are not mature enough to have complete control over their bodies or lives. When they make mistakes, it's their parents and the rest of society that pays for those mistakes. If kids think that they can be "free" and make their own decisions, they should go in front of a judge, request to be emancipated, get a job and their own apartment and they can do whatever they want. If they don't want to do that, they will have to follow the rules set by society- driving and consensual sex at 16, voting at 18, drinking at 21- in other words, slowly earning their rights like the rest of us had to. Millions of people have been raised under that system and quite frankly we're doing just fine.

    How can anyone look at the picture of this girl i her bra and not see the disturbed look in her eyes? No doubt she was manipulated into undressing by the photographer. But being photographed or on stage half
    naked is only her job and what she gets paid for. At least she's making money from her body until the time comes for her to have a baby and then she can retire into oblivion, drive drunk around town, eat potato chips in bed on her reality t.v. show or join a kabbalah group and pretend to be enlightened. Whatever she decides to do the American public will probably always be ready to wallow in the self-destructive urges of its favorite porn stars.

    The comment that we shouldn't have our kids look up to disney/nickolodeon stars hit the nail on the head. What about having our kids look up to someone who uses their brain or someone who's athletic skills are great. Even JK rowling is a better hero. When teenage girls look up to rock stars they had better be looking up to singing abilites, that they can play the guitar, or play the piano. Otherwise we are only rewarding someone for being famous and Paris and Nicole richer are fine example of the extreme waste of human beings.

    what you dont get is young girls these days cant wait to get older, to date, to drink, to lie to their parents and hav immature sex, its wrong, these young girls know too much for their own good, they no damn well that wearing belly tops and short shorts will get attention from the boys and th e boys know damn well to giv them that attention in order to get what they want, parents need to STEP the F***K up and take CONTROL of there kids, TEACH them morals, and set their children up for a fullfilling life, the best way for a kid to learn about the world is to be taught by someone they trust, so instead of whinging that your kids look up to unfit rolemodels, why not try being one yourself,

    she's 15! this is the age where you enter highschool and you get to really figure out who you are.
    she's just doing it in the publics eye.

    there are 15 year olds out there who are doing WAYY worse stuff then what miley has done.
    its not her fault.

    your kids should know right from wrong and know that just because miley's doin it doesn't mean they have to.

    you cant blame miley for living her life.

    what gets me P.O.ed is that they think tehy know what they're talking about when they say "C'mon, tweens don't want to listen to songs highlighting how childish they are. They read Seventeen even though they're 12, talk about boys even though they're not allowed to go on dates and definitely wear short shorts. " uhm, i just got out of 7th grade and im turning 13 the 25th, i think i would know that. yea we're not aloud to go on dates, but we do it anyway! and ive got to say, ive had some serious sluts in my partner class. acually, ALL the girls in my partner class where sluts. they wore belly shirts and short shorts for gym EVERY DAMN DAY. but they are right when they say that miley's growing up too fast. I know better. but my best friend's little sister and my little cousin don't really. they LOVE her. worship her. and now im scared that they're gonna grow up like that hussy. she sent naked pics of herself to the jonas brothers and they're religious! i mean, wtf? and if she's saying she's gonna stay a virgin until married, then why the hell is she sending shower/naked pics of herself all over the web? not only is she a slut but she's stupid as ***, too.

    Why is everybody so inable to remember what is was like as a fiteen-year-old? That's exactly the age when you start acting weird because you want to be seen as an adult. I wish people would quit acting like she's doing something so out-of-the-ordinary. She's being perfectly normal, and anybody who says they didn't do a myriad of completely illogical things when they were that age is a liar. Just be glad your embarrassing mistakes didn't get broadcasted to the whole world. By-the-way, if you want her to act like a kid, why do you rail on her like and ault? Pop tart? Teen trailer trash tramp tragedy? Gutter trash? You must be a pretty lame person if you think it's alright to talk about kids like that. Perhaps your share of the problem is a bit bigger than you thought.

      I suspected I would encounter those who meet my definition of Miley Cyrus with some resistance. Just because she has a Hollywood name and big bucks does not mean she need be a rebel. Some examples are her half-nude photos for a magazine shoot, (while her father was an onlooker), and a posting of her in some see-through lingerie she wore and was posted on the Internet. Thankfully, I am flexible in my thinking and understand that teens/college kids have it where the brain is not fully developed and therefore they can make some bad or silly decisions. This is where I think good parenting comes in. If good morals, standards, and values are taught at home, more and more kids would be having less and less problems. While I would never call her names in a personal situation, I feel others feel the way I do when I express that she is a diva in tragedy. I am proud to say that at age 40, my upbringing was good enough,(yes, noone is perfect) to see what an example of some poor parenting looks like.

      Two words... MYSPACE PHOTOS! My 15 yr wouldn't dare post pictures of herself half naked or whatever. She knows I would strangle the life out of her. Miley isnt grounded. She is arrogant. Did you see her on TMZ last week when they asked her is Demi Lavato the next Miley Cyrus?? Talk about someone needs a reality check!
