Hopefully, an increasing presence of Christians in the Gulf region will lead to greater religious tolerance in that region, just as the increased Muslim population in the U.S. is something that we Americans have become more accustomed to.

This is an excellent, well researched article that proves the myth of an intolerant Islam vs progressive West to be just that - a myth.
Did you read the whole article- They are 400 years away from the west. We shall see how this works over time when some of the indegenous population starts switching- note the word WHEN
It is very commendable that the rulers of the Gulf countries are allowing believers of other faith to
have their places of worship. It is very hard for them to relax the old religious rule, but it is a
necessity that followers of other relgions should have their house of worship. The Christian influence
in that region will increase, and the cousin religions (Islam and Christianity) can live together in
love and peace.
There is an old saying " Rome was not built in a single day". The Christian influence in those gulf
countries will produce greater results in course of time. The leaders are wise enough to read the
"writing on the wall" that those people believing in different religious are thirsty to worship God in
the way they want, and now their desire is gradually fulfilled. Even though it is very hard for the
rulers to relax the traditions, but God is changing their hearts to do the right thing. God bless them
for their obedience to the higher authority.
