Details missing from Obama's Social Security plan

    MyWay

    Jul 28, 4:16 AM (ET)

    By CHARLES BABINGTON

WASHINGTON (AP) - Barack Obama's bid to place a new Social Security tax on very high incomes is either a bold or foolhardy plan, depending on who critiques it.

But its potential impact is almost impossible to gauge because he is providing few details on basic questions such as what the tax rate might be, what types of income would be taxed and how the taxpayers' benefits would be affected.

The Democratic presidential candidate says he would work with lawmakers from both parties to resolve such matters. Voters generally applaud bipartisan cooperation, but they apparently will go to the polls this fall with only a vague notion of what Obama has in mind.

Obama made headlines June 13 when he called for a Social Security payroll tax on incomes above $250,000 a year. Currently, the tax is levied only on the first $102,000 of each worker's income. That covers the entire salary of most Americans.

Obama would not apply the Social Security tax to annual incomes between $102,000 and $250,000, a move meant to avoid alienating several million upper-income voters. His proposed change would apply only to those earning more than $250,000 a year, or about 3 percent of all taxpayers.

When he outlined his idea in the battleground state of Ohio, Obama said it is unfair for middle-class earners to pay the Social Security tax "on every dime they make," while millionaires and billionaires pay it on "only a very small percentage of their income." He also said the Social Security program needs revamping to bolster its long-term viability.

With Obama offering few details, several news accounts suggested that his proposed tax on very high incomes would be applied just as the existing Social Security tax is levied on incomes up to $102,000.
All workers pay a 6.2 percent Social Security payroll tax on such income. Their employers match it, for a total tax of 12.4 percent. The tax applies only to earned income, not to passive income such as dividends and interest.

In recent weeks, Obama aides have quietly indicated that the proposed tax on incomes above $250,000 might be different in key aspects. The rate probably would be about 2 percent to 4 percent, not 6.2 percent, they said. It's also possible that it would apply to more types of income, including dividends and investments.

As for benefits, the campaign has not said how the proposed tax on very high incomes would translate into new retirement income, if any, for those who pay it.

Continuation - Details missing from Obama's Social Security plan

The campaign "has not put forth a specific plan" for Social Security, Obama economic adviser Austan Goolsbee said in an interview.

Perhaps because so many details are missing, Obama's Social Security proposal has generated relatively little debate on the campaign trail. But any change to the massive program could have far-reaching effects.

Many Americans rely on Social Security for much or all of their retirement income. Some workers, meanwhile, do not realize how much is withheld from each paycheck for Social Security and, to a lesser degree, Medicare.

Nearly three-fourths of all workers pay more in these payroll taxes than in federal income taxes, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. The center assumes that workers pay the full 12.4 percent in Social Security taxes, contending that employers would devote their half of the total to salaries if they did not have to make the 50-50 match.

Given the dearth of details about Obama's plans, some Republicans have criticized it, using assumptions that Democrats reject. Lawrence B. Lindsey, a former economic adviser to President Bush, argues that high earners would pay the full 12.4 percent tax rate on income above $250,000 while receiving no added benefits.

"A high-income entrepreneur would see his or her federal marginal tax rate rise to 53 percent from 37.7 percent," Lindsey wrote in a June 20 Wall Street Journal op-ed column.

The marginal tax rate is what a person pays on each additional dollar earned. Lindsey wrote that Obama's plans would provide a powerful incentive for the highest-earning Americans to work less, invest less and contribute less to the economy.

Former Oklahoma Sen. Don Nickles, a Republican, agreed. A person who owns two restaurants and makes $500,000 a year would have little incentive to open a third restaurant under Obama's tax plans, and might even close one, Nickles said in an interview. "He's not going to be hiring more people," Nickles said.

McCain's true colors are coming out like a flood of red with his stance on Affirmative Action in Arizona. He is a hater of all that does not benefit the Republican party. He despises the Democratic process and would just assume knock down the pillars of Justice that has been rebuilt on the backs of the people. Obama will re-unite our divided country the same way MLK Jr did by standing up to the hatred and evil of the few. This is a test of what the Constitution was made for. If it fails, this country fails.

McCain Steps Up Criticism of Obama Over Iraq

DENVER (AP) ??? Republican presidential candidate John McCain, ridiculing Barack Obama for "the audacity of hopelessness" in his policies on Iraq, said Friday that the entire Middle East could have plunged into war had U.S. troops been withdrawn as his rival advocated.

Speaking to an audience of Hispanic military veterans, McCain stepped up his criticism of Obama while the Illinois senator continued his headline-grabbing tour of the Middle East and Europe. The Arizona Republican contended that Obama's policies ??? he opposed sending more troops to Iraq in the "surge" that McCain supported ??? would have led to defeat there and in Afghanistan.

"We rejected the audacity of hopelessness, and we were right," McCain said, a play on the title of Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope."

McCain laid out a near-apocalyptic chain of events he said could have resulted had Obama managed to stop the troop buildup ordered by President Bush: U.S. forces retreating under fire, the Iraqi army collapsing, civilian casualties increasing dramatically, al-Qaeda killing cooperative Sunni sheiks and finding safe havens to train fighters and launch attacks on Americans, and civil war, genocide and a wider conflict.

"Above all, America would have been humiliated and weakened," he said. "Terrorists would have seen our defeat as evidence America lacked the resolve to defeat them. As Iraq descended into chaos, other countries in the Middle East would have come to the aid of their favored factions, and the entire region might have erupted in war."

Noting that the buildup was unpopular with most Americans, McCain said: "Sen. Obama told the American people what he thought you wanted to hear. I told you the truth."

Obama has called for a withdrawal over 16 months. McCain again criticized him for advocating "a politically expedient timetable" and for voting against funding for troops. McCain had raised eyebrows earlier this week by charging that Obama "would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign."

Russia and China hold joint military exercise

The Associated PressPublished: August 17, 2007

CHEBARKUL TESTING RANGE, Russia: President Vladimir Putin said Friday he had ordered strategic bombers to resume regular long-range patrols as Russian and Chinese forces held their first joint military exercise on Russian soil ??? a show of armed muscle aimed at sending a pointed message to the United States.

The resumption of bombing patrols, which analysts say signaled a significant change for Russian military policy, comes amid a growing chill in U.S.-Russian relations, strained over Washington's criticism of Russia's democracy record, Moscow's objections to U.S. missile defense plans and differences over global crises.

Both Moscow and Beijing share a heightening distrust of what they see as the United States' oversized role and influence in global politics, and the two former Cold War rivals have forged a "strategic partnership" aimed at counterbalancing Washington's policies.

The Russian-Chinese war games, which took place near the Urals Mountain city of Chelyabinsk, coincided with Russian air force maneuvers involving 20 strategic bombers which ranged far over the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic oceans.

One of those drills, involving 11 Russian aircraft, prompted NATO member Norway to scramble F-16 fighter jets to observe and photograph the Russian planes as they flew over the Norwegian Sea.

Putin says Russia will resume long-range bomber patrols

Russian proposal calls for broader security pact...

The group of strategic bombers, early warning aircraft, fighter jets and refueling planes represented the biggest show of Russian air power in that region since the early 1990s, said Brig. Gen. Ole Asak, chief of the Norwegian Joint Air Operations Center.

"We haven't seen that kind of activity in a very long time," Asak told The Associated Press. "Not since the early 1990s. It was quite impressive to see."

In announcing the policy change, Putin said halting long-range bombers' flights after the Soviet collapse had affected Russia's security as other nations had continued such missions ??? an oblique reference to the United States.

"I have made a decision to resume regular flights of Russian strategic aviation," Putin said in televised remarks. "We proceed from the assumption that our partners will view the resumption of flights of Russia's strategic aviation with understanding."

Do you think he loves us? I mean each and everyone of us? Does he feel our pain like Bill? To think that such a great man would commit to working tirelessly for our perfection. I had never been proud of my country before. He will wash away the sins of empirialism, and capitalism, and all other isms.

The only thing that Barry Obama loves is himself and the numbers he is generating. He was ignorred until Hillary dropped out. Now watch his numbers fall like Niagra.

Obama was not ignored. He was and is the popular candidate. Hillary lost. It's no ones fault but hers and her camp.

Davole, what is there to discuss and implement? Hillary was not wronged in any way. The rules were followed in the primaries. Hillary lost. She lost 35 states to Obama. Hillary was supposed to be the 'inevitable' and 'ready on day one' candidate. What happened? She and her camp ran a lame camp. She listened to her advisors, esp. that Mark Penn and Harold Ickes (who btw, had set the DNC primary rules years ago including the rules that disqualied Fla and Mich) who advised her to slander Obama and play the race card after she lost SC. She opened her mouth against Obama too many times. She played the NAFTA game and lied about that. She was always for it. She led us to believe in that television interview that she believed he was a Muslim (not that it matters if he is). Hillary and camp played a dirty game against Obama and she lost. But the bottom line is Obama was always the better candidate to begin with. He had a message, she didn't. Her only message was "I'm Hillary Clinton, I deserve to be president." I do admire her for her tenacity not to drop out, but that's all. Unlike some of her supporters who are voting McCain out of revenge and racism, I would support her had she won the nom.

I agree that if anyone is sarcastic quite a bit, yes it can be difficult to tell when he or she isn't.

With respect to josemarti, I noticed when I had sent a reply to you regarding your having called her racist, that she didn't appear to be in that particular reply of hers.

You responded by stating that she had been racist in other posts.

Pia1981, I believe that it is more productive to challenge a post in that same post, and not to carry it over.

Does that seem to be reasonable, fair, and amicable?

Hi Davole. I am not upset about josemarti. Just a bit exasperated. She is always so sarcastic that it is difficult to tell when she is not. Because of her sarcasm, I still don't know who she supports in this race. That may also be the reason why I accused her of being a racist once, however, I'm not entirely certain if that may be the case because I don't fully recall the particular post. If you do please fill me in, thanks

That was a rock concert. Got to wait until Denver, to see the authentic Nazi stuff. IF he gets the nomination, his acceptance concert will be a spectacle. He will be perceived for what he is. A "Big Brother" style leader. The masses will be very Nazi Style. Violence will be common. The YES WE CAN shouts will be very reminiscent of "Heil Hitler" chants. It will be downright creepy.

I can't wait for this scene....A Hillary NOW supporter whacking... upside the head, with her Hillary sign.......one of the obnoxiously arrogant obamamohammeds. Pandemonium will erupt. The Denver Police will get to try out their new $18,000,000 crowd control equipment. It's gonna be, more fun than a homeless persons, day at the zoo.

Why do you idiots continue to try to compare Obama to Hitler and the Nazi party. You could possibly say it is like when the Pope held mass at Yankee stadium. But no, you have to demonize everything about Obama. Besides, how can Obama be both a Nazi (fascist) and a Marxist, since the two are at opposite ends of the spectrum. But I guess in your warped mind anything is possible, such as Obama being both the Messiah and the Anti-Christ.

        • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/25/2008 4:28:09 PM

I did not call him a Nazi. I said his spectacle, would resemble a Hitler Nazi Style Rally. It will. The Hitler comparisons are because, of his total mind control, of his glass-eyed groupies. Very similar to Hitler. He hypnotized an entire nation. Now obamamohammeds think, those very same, addle-brained minions, are the epitome of modern day, evolved, successful nations. It is amazing.

The U.S.A. is 100% responsible for everything they have. You may not realize it, but they LOST WWII. And the U.S./Reagan defeated the Soviets, in the Cold War, to free the East. Now, they are wise. O.K.

Sky, I hope you don't mind my answering your question. My answer to it is, no. Europeans didn't like Pres. Bush from the beggining of his administration. It is my opinion that Europeans didn't like him because he is Republican. It is unfair of course. I have defended Pres. Bush many times. I do believe however, that Europeans did respect him after the 9/11 tragedy, but unfortunately the Iraq war made for stronger disdain and dislike for him.

    ----------------
McCain's New Ad and McCain's Hypocrisy

    by William Domingo

    Sat Jul 26, 2008

McCain is using Obama's canceled trip to a U.S. militay base in Germany as a reason to claim that Obama is anti-troops, even though Obama's trip was canceled by the Pentagon, not by Obama. Now with McCain going on and on in a political attack ad about what a horrible and un-patiotic thing it was for Obama not to visit those troops, come to find out, McCain knows better. How does he know? Follow me after the jump.

Barack Obama canceled a pre-planned visit to the troops in Germany yesterday after being told by the Pentagon that the trip would violate a Pentagon policy prohibiting campaign stops on military installations.

    No problem there.

However, the McCain campaign is now blasting Obama:

The McCain camp has nonetheless been using Obama's canceled trip to insinuate that he's anti-troops.

"Barack Obama is wrong," McCain spokesperson Brian Rogers said in a statement yesterday. "It is never 'inappropriate' to visit our men and women in the military."

It turns out the same thing happened to John McCain himself back in April of this year.

But of course when it happens to him, he brags that it "was a good thing" that HE didn't visit the troops, "because he always follows the rules."

The problem here is that the McCain campaign was denied a visit to a military base under the same policy back in April. Of course, there was no outcry or false outrage from Brian Rogers at that time.

    From CNN:

With Department of Defense rules prohibiting political campaigning on military bases, it was determined that in some cases McCain could visit the installations as a senator but could not engage in any political activity or have news media present.

McCain campaign officials said Thursday they intentionally did not campaign on military property.

"We follow the rules," said senior McCain adviser Steve Schmidt.
I have to ask, just how much lies, hypocrisy, and double-talk is this man willing to resort to in his quest for the presidency ?

Note: Bush Sr. is the Only President to have Both National-International Experience, CIA Director, 2 Terms as Vice President, to (Mr.666 Himself) Ron-ald Wil-son Rea-gan and he lasted only 1 Term as President Of The USA...

George Bush Jr. Gov.Of Texas he had 1 Full Term, thats 4 yrs. State Experience (Only)

There is a new AD coming out by the Republicans soon focused on Obamas blantant rejection of visiting wounded troops (a visit that has been on his agenda for weeks) even though the Pentagon said they had no problem if he just left the campaign people and big press out of the picture and visit the wounded as a US Senator. No problem people would say, right? Wrong. He opted for a workout in the gym when he got back to the Hotel. There is no way of flip flopping out of this one. Cant wait to see this ad. LMAO

Perhaps the plans had to be changed. Sharenews, I feel deeply for the injured troops but you using them them to smear Obama with this totally tasteless. I compare this latest desperate attempt of yours to that silly fabricated and ridiculous finger flipping blatant lie from that video on Youtube which you posted links to and ranted on for weeks after Hillary lost. Hillary and camp lost all by herself Sharenews. No one stole the nomination from her. Not Obama, not the DNC, no one. She lost. She's not the first to have lost. Get over it and stop blaming Obama for Hillary and her campaign's mistakes and loss. And that PUMA site you have posted links to with members who are nutty Hillary fanatics giving themselves wild animal names, totally crazy. What are they/you going to do, attack Obama with your wild fangs? That site is embarassing all the women in this country.

Pia, Pia, Pia.........if any gender has been embarrassed it is the males. Something as sissified as Hussein Obama, running for POTUS. Gives all American males a bad name. The sissy did not go to visit the wounded, because he heard several were going, to KICK HIS MOHAMMED ASS. He voted AGAINST funding their weapons and armour. One of only 14, in the entire Senate to do so. They know what he really is. And HE RAN. Typical switch-hitter.

Obama di Hussein è Criminale ed una Frode. Il suo vero rivedere ha iniziato, e sarà visto per la piccola femminuccia sciocca che è effettivamente.

      Share -

      Nice posts!

I replied to one of your posts a day or so ago.

And I posted 2 approximately 3 hours ago.

It looks as though I am responsible for Pia1981's reply to you here - in several replies to her yesterday, I complimented her when I thought that was deserved, and I also challenged some of her conflicting viewpoint comments.

She took offense, and indicated that she might begin to criticize your posts.
And I see that she has "delivered" on that threat.

That doesn't bother or intimidate me, and I doubt that it would trouble you, or be much of an obstacle either.

Her reply to you stating that "Perhaps the plans had to be changed" sure sounds lame and unresearched.
I guess that she's not quite up to investigating facts. Instead, it seems to be blind loyalty to the empty suit Obama, with little thought and factual analysis.

I still do like her, but I doubt that the feeling is mutual.

I'm quite sure that the DNC is really worried about the vast segment of the 18 million Hillary supporters who have indicated that they will vote for John McCain, and especially the PUMA voters.

I can understand why they are offended by Obama's dismissive to just get over it - how callous of the "great unifier"!

That is sure going to be one super explosive DNC convention - I hope that it will all be televised, in living colour! If Obama gets displaced by Hillary, I wonder whether he will manage to just get over it.

If you haven't gone to bed yet,
Good night - sweet dreams - and back at it later today!

All of you obamamohammed groupies, make me sick, to my stomach. I'm fairly certain, many, if not most, are very patriotic American's. Your just naive and easily influenced. Many of you are kids, and don't know any better. Others are older, and just trendy. A few are just dumb. And some are caught up in a racial pride deal. While I don't care for any of these reasons, I think ya'll are pitiful, I at least ,can smile and shake my head, in amazment. It's the other substantial group that makes me sick.... that are just a bunch, of punks and sissies. Like Hussein, Pelosi, Reid, Dean, and Big Daddy Soros. Your Emporer and High Priest.

You know who you are. You think America is evil. You support our country's avowed enemies. You want to see the military diminished, if not completely eliminated. You think, America needs to be punished, That she's evil. You think a socialist, euro-trash, govt. nanny state, would save the nation. You want America, as we know her, destroyed..

Well it's not gonna happen. America was founded by GOD, and there is no power on earth, that can bring your fantasy to reality. I know. I know. Hussein is a Messiah. He can manifest his will. Yeah right. He is a two-bit charlatan. He is a Crook and a Fraud. His handlers, with help from the so-called MSM, have performed admirably well. BUT, the play time's about over. It's time to get serious.

Hussein is about to be revealed as the cheap copy of Jimmy Carter, that he is. A lot fewer morals, but a cheap copy, just the same. And the original JC, almost did destroy America. We learned our lesson, with Mr. Peanut. And he wasn't even a mohammed.

I hope ya'll ain't bet the farm, on this election. Cause if you did, you are about to be homeless.

The punk refused to visit the wounded. Hussein is a puke and a sissy. Probably afraid some of the wounded G.I.s, would kick his ass. He DID VOTE NOT TO FUND THEM. They know what he is.

He is a piece of crap.

UNholyRoller, it is funny that you call "obamamohammed goupies" naive, easily influenced, trendy and dumb. When you perpetuate the teachings of so-called "Christian" ministers like Jerry Falwell, John Hagee, and Fred Phelps, who spread hate like a farmer who spreads too much feritlizer on a field. So much that where the only thing that will grow is weeds, who happily eat and think it is the best thing since sliced breat, when all they are really eating is sh*t.

Obama supporters do not hate America and think our country is evil. We are just fed up with some of the leaders of this country who think America is destined to rule the world. History is full of former powerful countries who thought they were destined to rule the world. We are tired of people who think that ALL poor and underprivliged people of this country are lazy and unwilling to work. We are tired of the large cooperations that think we should feel lucky because they give us a job, who get richer off of our labor and pay us as little as possible. We are sick of powerful government officials who think that if we dare to disagree with them, then we are un-American. We are tired of officials who feel we can take over foreign countries to STEAL their natural resources.

America WAS NOT founded by God. America was founded by rich Europeans who came here looking for gold and treasures. America WAS NOT founded by "puritans" who came to America to practiced their perverted form of Christianity. America was built up by African slaves who were brought here to make thier european owners richer. America was built up by poor Irish and Italian immigrants who came here for a better life, but were shat upon because they follow the true form of Christianity, Catholocism. By Jewis immigrants who left Europe because Europeans had persecuted them far more than any "Muslim" country ever dreamed of.

Jimmy Carter did far less damage to this country than Richard Nixon did. Nixon, a Quaker, almost succeeded in destroying our country by trying to turn it into an autocracy. Which our current administration seems to be trying to do as well. You also forget that our country's problem with Iran was created because our own CIA helped overthrow a DEMOCRATICALLY elected government and installed a puppet regime. Jimmy Carter inherited this mess created by Nixon.

Even if Obama is a Muslim, which he is not, SO WHAT? Article six of the U.S. Constitution states that no RELIGIOUS test will EVER be required to hold public office, but that they must swear or affirm to defend and uphold the Constitution.

There I hope I made you a little more sick to your stomach.

Bad news for you. A Hussein victory, wouldn't get you much. Only duty Emporer Soros, would likely assign your type, to the, general laborer section. Two hots and a cot, lifestyle.

HolyRoller understands. I can sense your fantasy. You really, really, really, seriously want to be an important part of the, Emporers.......America Bad Europe Good........be an important activist. But speaking truthfully, I think you fall a little short. HolyRoller recommends you start with, some community organizing projects. The experience there, might well get you elected POTUS.

Boy, I crack myself up. Ya'll are a hoot.

Ok, I looked it up and yes he did vote against that particular bill that among other things provided funding for the military. I was looking at the last bill that provided funding for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and he voted for this Bill. In May 2007 Obama supported another bill to provide funding that included a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. So to say Obama voted against supporting the troops is also not totally correct.

                  • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/25/2008 10:37:53 PM

Last time I looked...NAY, meant NO. He VOTED AGAINST funding our troops. No way to spin it otherwise. Look at the vote total. He despises the military. If he had went to visit the wounded, it would have gotten ugly. Yes, I know some military personell support him, but they are greatly outnumbered.

Davole, this comment to Omaar was uncalled for. You yourself mentioned just this past week to another blogger that personal attacks directed at bloggers are mean . So now you get carte blanche? I'm certain that whatever work Omaar does, he does it well. He is doing pretty good here. As you may have noticed, I have not attacked any of sharenew's tiresome cut and paste posts. But. The night is still young.

        • Posted By: Davole @ 07/26/2008 9:56:56 PM

          Pia -

You state that my comment was "uncalled for." I agree - no one called for it.
But it was definitely applicable and deserved.

Omaar stated that the Bush family maintained a close relationship with Osama Bin Laden.
For goodness sake, take off those rose tinted glasses, and see that!

An insinuation was also made that the Bush family profited from associating with the Bin Laden family (which Omaar fails to acknowledge disowned Osama). This would seem to be a typical gripe that some people on the bottom rung of a company would have against the CEO. So, my gas station reference comment was well applicable.

Please refresh our minds by providing the date, time, and blogger to whom I supposedly had mentioned that personal attacks directed at bloggers are mean. Again, I'm primarily interested in exactly what I had said, and what you may have interpreted that I said.

Earlier today, with regard to another topic, you took offence at one of my replies, then you did admit that I was correct, before you stated that you disagreed. Gee, is this a common behavioural trait for democrats? John Kerry was notorious for that kind of illogic.

You state that "I'm certain that whatever work Omaar does, he does it well."
Don't you even know what kind of so-called "work" he does? And yet you say that he does it well.
That kind of (il)logic also ???escapes me.???

Pia, I know that you feel that Omaar is actually helping the democrats.
But at what expense - does your own set of morals and integrity ever ???enter the picture??? here?

In other posts, he spews the unverified theory that the Viet Cong had 32 propaganda films in which John McCain supposedly willingly participated. And he claimed that in 1993 supposedly McCain asked the Viet Cong to not disclose records of released POWs, supposedly for sinister reasons. Where is his proof - was he there then? Where does he lurk to swallow that kind of spoiled garbage?

If you don't understand what I meant by 'big boy' it's because you're not an American. It means Omaar is very capable.

In response to the question which you posed - I hope that you aren't!

          Pia - Continued

Pia, stop talking out of both sides of your mouth. On one hand, you defend Omaar???s unfounded and unverifiable contentions against John McCain, and on the other hand, you thank a blogger today who had stated his belief that both candidates for presidency are honest persons.

Pia, you can???t have it both ways - be a woman of honesty and integrity.
And I don???t doubt that you are female, despite your earlier somewhat catty question about me.
I???m sure that your parents would have taught you to be honest, even though it might be somewhat uncomfortable oe even difficult to do.

Then you insinuate that you may begin to attack some of sharenews' (as you say) "tiresome cut and paste posts". I hope that you are not being envious here, because you rarely, if ever, actually introduce a new topic for discussion, as she often does. With regard to your veiled threat that you might attack some of her posts tonight - why - out of retaliation for me expressing my honest opinion?
I doubt that would be what your religious upbringing would have taught you to do.

Pia - answer to yourself - don???t bother answering to me - have you been, as you say,???bad??? today?

Would you care to respond, or more pointedly, will you respond? That decision is yours!

D, do me a favor, don't post these long comments for me, I have no time to respond to all of them. But. Why would you want to anyway? You did question my honesty and integrity, therefore, why would the likes of you, who I am assuming behaves appropriately every minute of the day and night, want to give me the time of day? You don't.

No, I'm not perfect - far from it.

But I try to learn from my mistakes, and to care about, and help others.
I do take the time and trouble to try to help - that's who I am. Others may not bother to even try.
And I'm not dismayed if others resent my efforts to help. That's just human nature in its diversity.

I don't bear any animosity toward you, or anyone else.

Davole, I was bad today and lazy too since I don't introduce new subjects of discussion. You see D, I don't look up info to smear McCain with. I rarely post anything offensive about McCain. I'm not here to hurt, Im here to defend my candidate from posters like share and you. Yes, Sharenews does so much work looking up lies to smear Obama with. I def. envy her for that. I did admit I was 'bad' but I did not talk out of both sides of my mouth. I thanked the blogger who is a McCain supporter for including Obama in his post about both men being decent, that's what I meant.

Davole, I neglected to add to my previous comments- Goodbye, have a nice blogging life.
