Well I guess le' Goober has spoken......here is a tidbit of what is to come............

The LARRY and BARRY SHOW is really heating up. Fits in well with the new John Edwards story. Wasn't he a possible VP/Cabinet possibility???? Well let's get this party started.....................

Larry Sinclair alleges that on 6th and 7th November 1999 in Chicago, Illinois he met Barack Obama for a social evening which included drinks in a lounge, followed by a drive around town in his hired limousine during which Obama supplied cocaine, smoked crack through his own glass pipe while accepting fellatio from Sinclair.

The next day Obama took the initiative to visit Sinclair???s Comfort Inn hotel room in Gurney, Illinois for a ???quickie??? version of the previous night???s activities. Both men were 38 years of age. Larry Sinclair was on parole visiting for a few days from Colorado. Barack Obama was a member of the Illinois Senate.

These scenes are reminiscent of the Oprah Winfrey???s show in which she featured J.L. King???s book ???Men On the Down Low: A Journey into the Lives of Straight Black Men Who Sleep with Men???

For an up-to-date complete story, and current events.....check out the official website......+2,000,000 visitors......NEW developments.......more fun than a barrell of monkey...........CHECK IT OUT....................

Nuestro Comandante en Jefe, el Excelente Senor Senador, Mister Barack Obama will be un buen El Presidente. Companeros: Si se puede. Un pueblo unido jamas sera vencido. Con Fidel (I mean Barack). Hasta la victoria. Patria or muerte. Venceremos.

Lol! Who are you speaking to, Sky? Hey, shouldn't you be out on a date? Friday nights are best for nightclub dancing. What kind of music do you listen to?

          • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/25/2008 10:42:21 PM

Music? I like most types... anything except the wasted away, crying guitar country stuff..... Good grief, leave him/her if their that bad!

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/25/2008 10:51:37 PM

You're easy to please then. I don't care for that crying jag country stuff either! Do you like the Smiths? Btw, how many Martinis have you had? Olive or no olive? Best get thee to bed now after those.

              • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/26/2008 10:10:27 AM

I probably listen to rock/alternative rock more than anything else. I like The Smiths... great band from the 80's! Never anymore than to martini's, and not very often at that. And I didn't even know one could have a martini without an olive! Is it really possible????? lol

                • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/26/2008 10:14:09 AM

That's "two" martinis. I actually spell better after 10 AM

With olives of course. Are martinis not good without olives? I wouldn't know, I rarely partake in the potion, too potent, the drink numbs my face.

They can be lethal... which is why I rarely drink them when out. I make them rather weak...

Well, fancy meeting you here again. Want more language lessons I see.

The Smiths are fabulous. My favorite band actually. I love The Boy with a Thorn in his Side. I also love, Last Night I Dreamt.... played it this am on Youtube. Check it out. Beautiful song. The recorded version is the best. Live version is good too but I prefer the studio version. The melody is, well... very melodious. Lol.

Of course I am the only one you conversed in another language today,. I was thinking you had more Italian lessons for me since I failed with the 'spazzolatura' today. I'm not 100% sure, but spazzolatura may be the botanical name for the stamen in a flower. Do you have any other Italian words for me?

Piazadorable!, I am in between my first and second martini, and have to tell you that really made me laugh! You have definitely brightened my day! (Actually, that happened earlier, but I'll say it now!)

Sky, enjoy your martinis! Martinis are potent. If I have just one, I'm holding up the walls. I stay away from martinis. I also try to stay away from Long Island iced teas. Potent stuff. You?

Spazzolatura = flower stamen- why is that funny? What did I miss, Cielo?

BTW, Sky, how long have you been bloggin on News? Moi, almost six months.

Of course not, Pia Z! I was merely translating. I can see where that may be a little misleading, but no, Fidel and B.O. have nothing in common, IMO.

I think you're right about some of that... she bought Pickfair (Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks's house in BH), had it torn down and built their own home. Somewhere down the line she divorced, but still lives there with either him or some other ex husband. She is somewhere around 54 years old and is retired from showbiz.

I much prefer people like yourself, Raddave, Cloudy, News & Notes and yes, Davole... those much more in the middle that I can at least converse with common sense. Omaar... please, I wanna leave the site after a dozen or so of his posts! I know you like him, but "the Clintons and Bushes vacationing together? And McCain not being tortured?": Geezzzz.......

AP) Barack Obama's campaign has received roughly 10 times more money from declared U.S. donors living in Germany, France and Britain than his Republican rival, reflecting his popularity in Europe as he makes his first tour of the continent as the presumed Democratic nominee.

Federal Election Commission reports show Obama has raised at least $1 million from donors who identify themselves as Americans living in Great Britain, Germany and France, while John McCain has taken in at least $150,000.

Some donors say the huge disparity, which also exists in overall funding raising in which Obama has raked in $338 million to $126.3 million for McCain, is more about disliking Bush and the prospect of another Republican succeeding him than it is an affection for Obama.

"I contributed because of the absolutely appalling performance of the Bush administration during the last eight years," said Eileen Taylor, a chief operating officer for Deutsche Bank in London.

She made two $2,300 donations, the maximum allowed, and is also working on a voter registration drive to make it easier for Americans abroad to cast ballots in the November election.

"We're actively signing people up to vote," she said. "Democrats Abroad is working with a lot of companies to set up voter registration and absentee ballots. The key message is that it's not about the money. A lot of people are putting emotional energy into this campaign."

Only U.S. citizens are permitted to contribute to presidential campaigns. The European totals include contributions of $200 or more from each individual as election laws do not require campaigns to itemize lesser amounts. So it's possible Obama has received additional money from smaller donors. McCain, however, publishes all contributions, even amounts smaller than $200.

While Bush is unpopular at home, hostility to the outgoing president appears to be much deeper among expatriate donors than the general population in the United States. Obama's many backers in Europe say they are motivated by a yearning for America to once again be viewed with respect by the rest of the world.

Gerald Wood, an American living in Germany, said he contributed $1,000 to Obama because he wants to see America's reputation restored after it "worsened" during the Bush years.

"For me Barack Obama is the one who can improve America's image," he said, comparing the youthful candidate to John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. "I want more bipartisanship, to give the land a vision."

McCain is a HYPOCRITE and a LIAR, when Overseas, McCain was told also, like Obama, NOT to Visit Injured Troops on Military Base Hospitals....yet he acted as if, Obama had Control of this situation.

McCain did'nt Visit Inured Soldiers, Nor does McCain Wear a Pin Flag, as well as Hillary Clinton and I Observed McCain and Clinton and its Obama, who MUST WEAR THE PIN FLAG....

What a Glaring Double Standard and I will Account for everyday McCain Does Not Wear a pin flag on his Coat Lapel

McCain should've taken a Vacation in the US virgin islands, instead, its been a very Bad Week, for him !!

This McCain is Lower than LOW, How is McCain going to Explain this ..Easy Stumble and Fumble and Blame it on the Sure, Guess ?

Barack Obama canceled a pre-planned visit to the troops in Germany yesterday after being told by the Pentagon that the trip would violate a (Pentagon Policy Prohibiting Campaign) stops on Military installations. No problem there.

However, the McCain campaign is now blasting Obama:

The McCain camp has nonetheless been using Obama's canceled trip to insinuate that he's anti-troops. "Barack Obama is wrong," McCain spokesperson Brian Rogers said in a statement yesterday. "It is never 'inappropriate' to visit our men and women in the military."
The problem here is that the McCain campaign was denied a visit to a military base under the same policy back in April. Of course, there was no outcry or false outrage from Brian Rogers at that time.

    From CNN:

With Department of Defense rules prohibiting political campaigning on military bases, it was determined that in some cases McCain could visit the installations as a senator but could not engage in any political activity or have news media present.

McCain campaign officials said Thursday they intentionally did not campaign on military property.

"We follow the rules," said senior McCain adviser Steve Schmidt.

Because all three presidential candidates are sitting senators, DoD officials have privately noted for some weeks that the whole matter of drawing the line between Senate business and campaigning is sensitive.

A U.S. Army official told CNN there are no pending requests from any of the campaigns to visit Army bases at this time. He noted that Sen. Barack Obama recently visited Fayetteville, North Carolina, but did not go to Fort Bragg; and Sen. Hillary Clinton visited Killeen, Texas, but did not go to Fort Hood.

For his Wednesday visit to the U.S. Naval Academy -- of which he is a graduate -- McCain was allowed to make a political appearance at the academy's football stadium because it is privately owned property and is not owned or run by the U.S. military.

Earlier in the day, when McCain had breakfast with midshipmen on academy grounds, it was closed to the press and considered a private event.

Good saturday afternoon everyone! I am happy to know that Sen. Obama is so very popular in Europe!
Europeans are known for their impeccable taste. My comment is in no way meant to diminish Sen. McCain. I do admire him for his military service and heroism.
Now watch Zombie, come over here and nag on me over this.

Pia - Great post.... O is indeed very popular in Europe... 200,000 showed up for him in Berlin....That's more than he's gathered at one place, even here in the states. It amazes me that McCain trails so closely in the numbers, considering that he doesn't have anywhere near the draw. For example, he was somewhere in New England a few days ago, and only one reporter showed up. It amazes me that he's not getting smoked.

I for one appreciate your kind remarks about McCain. I believe both candidates are decent people who want what???s best for America. Through our great election process, (warts and all!) the best candidate will emerge in November.

John McCain doesn???t know Shiites and Sunnis are Bitter enemy since Saddam days, Also this spring, McCain twice appeared to mistake again twice between Sunnis and Shiites, two branches of Islam that split violently

John McCain doesn???t know where is Pakistan? , McCain responded I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border. The ABC posting added: Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border.

Somalia for Sudan: As recounted in a reporters pool report from McCain Straight Talk Express bus on June 30, the senator said while discussing Darfur, a region of Sudan: How can we bring pressure on the government of Somalia?
Senior adviser Mark Salter corrected him Sudan

Germany for Russia memorializes McCain referring to President Vladimir Putin of Russia following a trip to Germany as President Putin of Germany by the way Germany Never have a President only Chancellor.

This spring, McCain said troops in Iraq were down to pre-surge levels when in fact there were 20,000 more troops than when the surge policy began.

In perhaps the most curious incident, McCain said earlier this month that as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, he had tried to confuse his captors by giving the names of Pittsburgh Steelers starting players when asked to identify his squadron mates. McCain has told the story many times over the years but always correctly referred to the names he gave as members of the Green Bay Packers

In Phoenix earlier this month, McCain referred to Czechoslovakia, which has been divided since Jan. 1, 1993, into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He also referred again to Czechoslovakia during a debate in November and a radio show in April.

But in all truthfulness, half of you posting on behalf of McCain show your true colors the more you post. You're ill informed, have issues with his race and still like the Bush policies. If you really are paying attention, then you will know Barack Obama should be the leader of our nation.

    • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/25/2008 1:03:46 PM

Hi Cloud, I have no issues with his race, and I do pay attention and stay informed. As in.... he's struggled to explain why he thinks the troop surge in Iraq was a mistake, even though he praises its results. He's flipped on Israel, Darfur and a host of other issues. And, IMO, his speech in Berlin had enough empty hot air in it to power the T. Boone Pickens wind farms for a year.

The mainstream media have cast their vote and already named him president, however, I think the American people will see through all this in November.

      • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/25/2008 1:26:38 PM

What's crackin Sky. Wasn't referring to you on the race thing. Just some other Yahoo on the board. But he's inconsequential. Me personally, I think that question is unanswerable since he didn't support the war in the first place. That's like me saying "I'm" going to crack the egg "you" drop. Doesn't add up. As for Darfur and Israel, those are subjects that as far as I am concerned need to be addressed by the United Kingdom since they created all the messes in those regions. We tend to put our hands in too many messes that British rule has created.

I thought with the reception of the country that his speech was a success.

The MSM haven't cast their vote. Ask Joe Scarborough, Andrea Mitchell, Pat Buchanan, Bob Novak, Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity, Brit Hume, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson and I'm sure the list goes on.

        • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/25/2008 1:51:11 PM

Cloud, I gotta agree with you on some of the mainstream.... I was really proud of Andy Mitchell and Katie Couric. Though they're liberal, they haven't forgotten good journalism. I have a boat load of new respect for them! Both pinned O down on several things, which is something that I expect all of them to do with both candidates.

I really don't consider Hannity, Hume and O'Reilly mainstream, as they make no bones about being on the right. (Though O'Reilly says he's an Independent). O's speech was elegant and a success for him, as he represents what the Europeans love, but again IMO, it contained little substance.

          • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/25/2008 2:19:33 PM

But that's just it. McCain or one of his surrogates say something off the wall, incorrect, self incriminating or just plain stupid and it gets a day or two in the news tops. But if Obama or his wife say something, it gets twisted like a knife until the entrails fall out. They'll stick to that story for days all the while trying to manipulate the statement to make it out to be negative. They'll even take something that he didn't even say and make it sound like he said it and harp on it for days at a time.

            • Posted By: Skypoint @ 07/25/2008 7:41:32 PM

Cloudy, one of the problems with O.B. is that he indeed receives so much attention from the MSM. By contrast, McC's comments (dud that he is deemed by by them) are quickly forgotten. Hence, he doesn't get beat up as much. Really is a double-edged sword for O as the Fox Network (and others) tend to go after him.

I like him too, though he does get out there sometimes. I'm most interested in his Talking Points, the email he gets, and The Last Word! His interviews are rarely flat. (I thought he and Geraldo Rivera were going to kill each other once!) I've not read Culture Wars, but I have read Who's Looking Out For You, which I liked.

Cielo, I've only read Culture Warrior. It was good but it wasn't anything that I didn't already know except for the Secular Progressives. So, Sky, are you Italian? I'm very impressed with your post.

Thanks for the compliment... No, I'm not Italian, (German/English) but I love the country. (Through photos, family and friends who've been there). As for Italian, "Parlo un po ', non di molto"! I like learning about other cultures and picking up a little of their language. "E 'la sfida!"

See you all a little later....

          Hi Pia Z!!!

That's my fondness for you showing through ; ) Actually, I really am not a huge fan of McCain either. I just see him is the better choice. Though I remain a Rep., as I've gotten older I'm not as hard core conservative as I once was. (That happens to many of us) I've heard others say they think McCain is the closest thing to a moderate democrat that's out there, and I believe them.

Dean Martin's song which Cloud sang today is, 'That's Amore', isn't it? 'Che L'Amore' sounds nice too but I don't think there is a song by that title.

Yeah, you do not want to go in the Summer. I went to Rome in July/August and it is very hot and muggy, there is not much of a breeze there. Also, in August pretty much the whole country goes on vacation, so alot of places are closed. I do not remember the name of the resaraunt I went to in Florence. I will ask my wife if she remembers. I think we still have a map that has it marked on it. It was reccomeded to us by our hotel desk clerk. If you go to Rome or Florence, do not eat in places around the tourist traps. The worst pizza I ever ate was at Piazza Navona. Also there are ALOT of people that will try to sell you counterfiet mechandise, like gucci bags, rolex watches, etc. In Rome we stayed at a hotel about 300 meters from the Vatican, it was an old palace, called the Hotel Columbus. It was wonderful.

Semi-Senile John McCain on the the Bush Administation having Positive Effect on the Lowering of Gas prices, though in Fact it is the (Speculators) that Dictate Price Increase or Reduction. The Speculators are now Worried about the Congress, Senate, Thye IRS and FBI Probing and Prosecuting them, thats why you SEE a Lowering of the Price at the Pump, Not the Bush Threats of Offshore Oil Drillings....Duh !!!

Earlier, campaigning in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., McCain credited the recent $10-a-barrel drop in the price of oil to President Bush's lifting of a presidential ban on offshore drilling, an action he has been advocating in his presidential campaign.

The cost of oil and gasoline is "on everybody's mind in this room," McCain told a town-hall meeting.

He criticized Obama for opposing drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Bush recently lifted the executive order banning offshore drilling that his father put in place in 1990. He also asked Congress to lift its own moratorium on oil exploration on the outer continental shelf which includes coastal waters as close as three miles from shore.

"The price of oil dropped $10 a barrel," said McCain, who argued that the psychology of lifting the ban has affected world markets.

NOTE: The White House didn't go that far. Presidential SpokesWoman Dana Perino said the PRICE DROP also could reflect diminished demand.

"I don't know if we fully deserve the credit," Perino said.

Bush Administration: "We don't PREDICT what HAPPENS in the MARKET," she said. "We can't really tell. Certainly, taking that action would send a signal that at least the executive branch is serious about moving forward and increasing the supply we have in America."

A barrel of light, sweet crude fell $1.86 to $126.56 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That's down from more than $140 a barrel earlier in the summer. There are 42 gallons in each barrel.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/24/2008 8:32:23 AM

Oil falling ten dollars is nothing. It should be at about 70 dollars a crude bar. That will never be. We best get used to these prices.

Unfortuanately for John McCain, indeed and Fortunate for the Time, that we Live in, that McCain is Exposing Himself to the USA & the World.

If you Noticed, the Bush Admnistration, General Patraeus & Odierno have NOT Endorsed McCain's Moment of Solace, "The Surge" all the names mentioned, are just letting McCain's A## Hang Himself, Politically....I said, Hang Himself !!!

And today, the word of the day in the corporate press is... "presumptuous." Used in a sentence: Senator Obama is being presumptuous during his trip -- acting all presidential and dignified. How dare he be presidential while running for, you know, president. Presumptuous. During the live CNN web feed of the Berlin address, an anchor used it to describe the event. Joe Klein used it in a blog post today. Of course Joe attributed it to racist voters rather than very serious reporters -- racist because it's presumably a synonym for 'uppity' and we can't accuse the press of such awfulness. And Candy Crowley used it in her post-address analysis on CNN. That's a lot of coincidences. "Presumptuous" must really be a popular word. Odd that it's being used so often by people who want Senator Obama to win.

AP: "In a speech that risked being seen as presumptuous..."

TIME Magazine: "capable to become the Commander in Chief of a superpower -- without seeming presumptuous..."

The National Journal: "He is well aware voters here at home might see that as presumptuous..."

Washington Post: "Whether by the end of this week he will be seen as presumptuous or overly cocky..."

Chicago Tribune: "That means walking the fine line between looking presidential and appearing arrogant and presumptuous..."

Boston Globe: "plus the growing sense in some quarters that the presumptive Democratic nominee is getting a little presumptuous..."

Can you feel the wanting-Obama-to-win love radiating off your computer screen? No?

The reality is that positive coverage of any Democrat is limited and temporary for fear of networks and newspapers either being accused of liberal bias or being tossed out of the very serious barbeque loop. Regardless of whether the Democrat, in this case Senator Obama, is having a good day, it's somehow unethical to report on such good news for too long without deliberately concocting an antidote to appease the far-right. So rather than standing up as the only industry explicitly named in the Constitution and defending the very basic idea of journalistic integrity, the corporate media is all too quick to capitulate to these specious Republican attacks -- that is, when they're not tossing their ethics aside and taking bribes in the form of barbeque and McBusch beer from a candidate whom they're supposed to be covering objectively.

Seperation of Church & State: I`ll be glad, when No Candidate Attends a Church, or Endorsed by Any Church, Mosque, Temple Or Synagouge.

Note: Most of your Presidents were Not Christian, they were Deist-Masonic.

I`ll be Glad when All Candidates say, in Debates ...

"I'm Implementing the Seperation of Church & State Rule" ...

    1. My Religion is the Constitution.

    2. My Religion, is to the (Republic) For which It Stands.

    3. My Religions are the Senate, Congress, The State, This Nation and Its People.

You Hypocrites can Have Your Religions...

I have Enough on My Plate, as You can See.

    4. "My Religion is this Great Nation, Its Diversed People and the Helath of this Nation's Economy and Continued Health, Wealth and Prosperity...

    5. "Thank You and May the Spirits Guide & Guard this Great Nation and it's People"

Seperation of Chuch & State...For ALL Candidates.

    They should not Attend Church...Anywhere.

Because the Pastor-Preacher can say Anything Controversial, at Any Time and this can Only Hurt the Politician, who may or may not have been in the Church, when the Pastor- Preacher says what he says.

All Politicians should use this Election as a sign...

    Seperate, Church & State...Permamently.

PS: Politicians & Most People don`t Attend Church Religously, Devoutly..Anyway, Just Like Some of YOU...HYPOCRITES.
