Off to Englad. Why don't you come home Barry. That old man is saying bad things about you and your polls are dropping. Come home. Can't wait until you become President. You will have all the power. We Americans have been very naughty and we need you to discipline us. Why do have to wait seven months for you to be President? Like, can't we just skip all that election stuff? And all that silly swearing in? Do you know what you are going to wear? Well. I hope you enjoy England. I think you are more popular than Lady Diana. Make sure you don't have a drunk Frenchman driving you around. See you when you get back.

josemarti, your comment mentioning Princess Diana and a drunk frenchman driving Obama around is despicable! Get off these blogs! I hope no one here in their right mind ever gives you any support in any of your comments ever again. Eww!

CBS: It seemed like a great way to counter Obamamania. Sen. John McCain would board a helicopter in New Orleans today, skim quickly over the Gulf of Mexico and land on an oil rig -- a made-for-TV moment to highlight his call for offshore drilling, an issue that Republicans believe will be a big winner in November.

Then came Hurricane Dolly, a Category 2 storm that made a helicopter ride impossible. And then, improbably, a 600-foot oil tanker collided with a barge on the Mississippi River, creating a 12-mile oil slick and causing diesel fumes to waft over the city's French Quarter. The trip was off.

In this campaign, it seems, McCain just can't catch a break.

Through a series of missteps, gaffes and bad luck, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has endured a difficult week in what has been a choppy campaign. He now has no major event to offset Sen. Barack Obama's speech at Berlin's famed Victory Column, where a huge turnout is expected. Instead, he will be in Columbus, Ohio, speaking at a nighttime cancer event.

"An extra day spent in Ohio is not really a problem," senior aide Mark Salter said, insisting that a bit of bad luck does not make a trend, even as the campaign was scrambling to fill the time.

"There's a hurricane; we had to cancel an event," he said with a shrug after McCain spent a rainy day in northeast Pennsylvania attending a town hall meeting in Wilkes-Barre and a fundraiser, and commiserating with a couple at a grocery store in Bethlehem about the high price of food. "That's not something that's going to happen every day. I'm not going to worry about it."

Before his overseas trip, Obama faced questions about the wisdom of his pledge to remove U.S. troops from Iraq within 16 months of taking office, should he be elected. But as the week began, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki appeared to endorse that timeline, and the Bush administration said that it supports a "time horizon" for withdrawing troops. Suddenly, it was McCain who was forced to explain his opposition to the withdrawal plan.

Holyroller, did you have a personal conversation with God just before you spouted off. I as an American find your comments offensive. I'd like to see how you would react if Senator Obama was looking over your shoulder as you posted your filth, how do you think God would react if you were standing in front of him now. Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself, guess you must not think much of yourself from my point of view.

Sorry you take offense. That doesn't change the facts. If you support the mohammed messiah, you are either dimwitted, or part of the America Needs To Be Punished crowd. No other options. UNLESS....you are a Crook and a Fraud, like Hussein. Then your motivation might be $$$. Either way, you are pitiful.

Mohammed messiah? Which one is he a "Mohammed" or the Mesiah? He cannot be both since the Mesiah is a creation of Judeo-Christian beliefs.

        • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/25/2008 2:13:53 PM

shows your lack of knowledge, about Islam. What do you think this jihad crap is all about. Their "messiah" cannot come until they have paved the way for him. I could give you a lesson, but it would be long and a waste of time. The Jews are also expecting a "messiah". They just haven't figured out...he's already come...BUT will return soon. They ARE the Chosen People.

            Z,

I really would not worry about that, just do you. Anyone who generalizes an entire group of people by the actions of a few fools are fools themselves and are not worth your agonizing over. 'As you know the posters that most of us refer to as racist idiots or just idiots are a very small portion of the bloggers here. I do not ever remember your posting anything racist so don't worry about it.

By the way that is how I feel sometimes when posters make the stupid azz assumption that first All Blacks are automatically voting for Obama and secondly that those of us who are voting for him are doing so based soley on the color of his skin. Now that is offensive! But i try to always consider the source and move on. Most of the time LOL! Sometimes I do neeeeeeeeeed to release LOL!

Now your politics are suspect, McCain "Duuuude Really" LOL! Couldn't help myself.

            • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 07/25/2008 4:07:14 PM

How are my politics suspect? I don't hide the fact that I'm a moderate Democrat, but since the party decided to exit stage Left, I've moved on. I blog for McCain because I feel he is the best candidate of the two. I don't hide that fact that I don't trust Barry. I see his campaign driven by Ego. He will say anything to anyone to get votes, a pure panderer. He makes Bill and Hillary look like straight shooters.
I don't like Barry's Energy policy nor do I like his Economic Plan. It's typical Leftist crap that I never liked anyway. (I was never one of Gore's Green Cultists, I think this Global Warming scare is just that a Scare, not grounded in hard science...I am a scientist)
There are plenty of things I don't agree with McCain on, but when it comes down to it I just trust him more. And I do like his Energy plan more. I know McCain will work with House and Senate Dems to get stuff done in the White House. I am really concerned of all the Power Barry will have if he is elected, with a Dem House and Senate...that much power in someone that is so new and untested is scary.

    FROM WND'S JERUSALEM BUREAU
Obama camp plasters posters at Western Wall
Advertises Democrat candidate's website, official slogan at Judaism's holiest site

JERUSALEM ??? Sen. Barack Obama's campaign plastered the entrance to the Western Wall ??? the holiest site in Judaism ??? with official campaign posters, WND has learned.
Jerusalem Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld confirmed to WND posters that adorned police barricades erected at the Western Wall plaza for Obama's visit were distributed by the presidential candidate's campaign.

"These posters were his campaign and not the doing of the police," said Rosenfeld, whose police department coordinated security and provided protection for Obama's visit today to the holy site.
Asked if it was traditional practice for politicians visiting the Western Wall to bring along posters or campaign materials, Rosenfeld replied, "No."

Obama campaign posters can be seen in media footage of the Illinois senator's early morning surprise visit to the Western Wall.
His visit reportedly was not on the official campaign schedule.

The posters display Obama's name in Hebrew. One poster erected on the main police barricade used by Obama to enter the holy site boasts the official red, white and blue campaign "O" symbol and advertises the candidate's campaign's website.

A second poster also displays Obama's name in Hebrew and contains an image of Israeli and American flags.

Reuters posted images of the Obama campaign posters showing a handful of people waiting behind the police barricades.

Reuters images had the following caption:
"Supporters of U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) stand behind banners printed with his name in Hebrew as they wait for his arrival at the Western wall."
The caption implied supporters brought along the pro-Obama material.

McCain has Not Visited (Afghanistan in 2 years), thats a Damn Fact and yet he Scolded Obama, regarding Iraq. McCain Visited, Iraq, Britain, France in March and recently Canada, Columbia & Mexico...

My Friends and yet All this BellyHoo about Obama, though McCain himself suggested and wanted to Tag Alongside Obama on his World Tour....

John, You asked for it and now , You must Live with it...The World Embraces him and Britain is going to be So Cranked up, to Meet and Greet the Next President of the USA !!!

You Got what you wanted John, You've just been (Shish Ca Bobbed) !!!

Most newspapers headlined Obama's pending arrival with the leftist daily Liberation giving a full front-page spread to "Obamania."

After Berlin, where Obama drew some 200,000 spectators for a speech Thursday, the conservative newspaper Le Figaro wrote that Obama is not looking to draw crowds in Paris "because he knows his huge popularity in our country could ill serve him with a part the American centrist electorate."

That was a reference to the negative image France had for years among some Americans because of Paris' vocal opposition to the invasion of Iraq.

Only one venue was on Obama's Paris schedule ??? the presidential Elysee Palace. A meeting with President Nicolas Sarkozy was set for 5 p.m. to be followed by a joint news conference.

Sarkozy, a conservative, was rushing back from a summit in southwestern France to host Obama.

Although Sarkozy and Obama are on different sides of the political fence, the French leader seems to have a softspot for the US senator.

"Obama? He's my buddy," Le Figaro quoted the president as saying before Obama's arrival. "I am the only Frenchman who knows him."

Sarkozy, elected in 2007, first met Obama in 2006 while a candidate for the French presidency.

Sarkozy offered considerably less to Obama's Republican rival, John McCain during a March visit to Paris. After 45 minutes of talks, McCain was left on his own, fielding questions from reporters in the courtyard of the Elysee.

French supporters of Obama were excited about the visit.

    4. No Complaints about all his Gaffe's, which you can't Can't Compare to Obama's at all.

Theres Gaffe's and when it comes to McCain, Those are Senior Citizens Monents or Worse....Alzheimers or Dementia !!!

    5. Cindy McCain's Drug Addictions-Dependence, say Hello to the Next (Betty Ford) as well as her Big Credit Card charges as well as her "Elitist McCain Family" and their Frequent Spending Habits, along with "Elitist" John McCain.

    6. The McCain's almost having one of their.... MANY ELITIST HOUSES FORECLOSED ON.

    7. John McCain Refusing to be (Baptized) and saying "Its a Personal matter" Though McCain claims to be a Member of this Arz. Baptist Church for (20 Years)

Note: This same Arz. Baptist Church also REFUSES to List McCain as a Member, based on McCain ................REFUSING to be BAPTIZED !!!

You "Un-Holy Low Lifes" Need to Concentrate on Your "Patriot" John Mccain, a lot More and Obama a Lot Less.

Here is an open invite to any Obama support. Tell me why without name calling or slanderous statements (these will void your argument) why I as an independent (don???t be fooled by the handle, but I am right of center on several issues) should vote for Obama? But, I want facts that I can research on my own. So far I have seen or hear anything from Senator Obama that would make me or my family???s life better or safer.

    • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/25/2008 3:07:58 PM

Through independent thought, I would assume an independent would see what is currently taking place.

      1. The World is saying "Yes We Can!"

      2. The Bush Administration is "Changing" its policy on it's military strategy for which Barack Obama has been focusing on for the last few years, i.e. Get out of Iraq, focus on Afghanistan, retaliate against the moved Taliban/Al Quaeda in Pakistan

      3. Focus on renewable resources for future production to ensure automotive companies adhere to more reliable less fuel dependent automobiles of the future, Creation of better job structure stronger infrastructure to ensure a stable economy.

      4. Return of a Checks and Balance system to restore the Judicial, Executive and Legislative Branches back to what they were meant to be

Barack Obama knows what must be done. He has a vision that all past presidents have had.

        1. The World is saying "Yes We Can!"
I don???t care what the world is saying.
        2. The Bush Administration is "Changing" its policy on it's military strategy for which Barack Obama has been focusing on for the last few years, i.e. Get out of Iraq, focus on Afghanistan, retaliate against the moved Taliban/Al Quaeda in Pakistan
No, I don???t see where the current administration is ???Changing??? anything. I see it as that the ???surge??? worked and it has allowed us to move our stratagem in a different direction.

        3. Focus on renewable resources for future production to ensure automotive companies adhere to more reliable less fuel dependent automobiles of the future, Creation of better job structure stronger infrastructure to ensure a stable economy.
Ok, key word here is future. These technologies are at least 10 years away from being viable. I agree that is an issue in this campaign, but I believe that expanding areas of productions along with renewable should be the path.

        4. Return of a Checks and Balance system to restore the Judicial, Executive and Legislative Branches back to what they were meant to be.
This is already guaranteed by our founding fathers.

Barack Obama knows what must be done. He has a vision that all past presidents have had.
        Speculation

Heal us Barack. You who have traveled throughout this country, know our needs. Not only our material needs, but also our spiritual needs. You know that man does not live by bread alone. Make use of your superior Harvard education to repair our economy. Make use of the lessons that you learned at Trinity Church to wash away our collective sins (Yankee imperialism, materialism, sexism, nationalism, milatirism, racism, classism). We know that we are not worthy of you, but we will work towards you and that work will set us free. This is our time. Oh, joy. This year holds so much promise. The Cubs win the World Series and Obama the Presidency. Oh joy. Oh.....ohoh....Yes. Yes..Oooooooooooh.

To Obama fans: A black president often harms black people as well as others. Ps review what happened in Zimbabwe, Uganda, Congo, Haiti, South Africa----------------Ps name a single black or quasi-black president who has triggered a quantum leap forward in human civilation (similar quote from Richard Nixon). Obama may be more competent than people know; however, can Americans take the risk to play Russian roulette on national destiny?

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/25/2008 7:50:06 AM

Evax, why do hate black people?

      • Posted By: Evax @ 07/25/2008 9:36:54 AM

I do not hate blacks. However, people should exercise his talent on the right stage. Blacks are built to run marathon because their muscle density is higher than other races whereas blacks do not swim fast due to the same reason (a body with higher muscle density tends to sink in water). Since no blacks have made a great president in history, it is prudent not to elect a black to this important position.

what civilization are you talking about? The one where whites were huddled in caves painting themselves blue while the Kings and Queens of Africa had a written language and excelled in math, astroomy etc.

      • Posted By: Evax @ 07/25/2008 9:44:55 AM

Not all Africans are blacks. Some people in Kenya still live in the stone age nowadays. Ps name a single black president who is remembered positively in modern history.

We disagree concerning my statement that Barack Obama is an empty suit.
I honestly believe that to be a fact.
Several other bloggers have that same opinion.

Yes, we possibly may be as different as night and day.

I still do like you very much, and I am willing and able to accept our differences.

Are you able and willing to reciprocate?

          • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/25/2008 10:43:00 AM

Davole, I don't understand what this liking me very much has to do with politics. You don't know me, I'm just a blogger on a political web site. Furthermore, I support Obama, you don't. You're not an American citizen so you can't vote. (or are you?) You say you live in Canada, I live in the US. We don't have a thing in common. In conclusion, how can you like a username? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm only trying to make sense of this.

  • Posted By: Omaar @ 07/24/2008 7:20:56 PM

John McCain seriously violated the Military Code of Conduct by trading "military information" and making numerous public statements that appeared favorable to the communist war effort in exchange for "special treatment."

The Code: Consisting of six articles in simple language, the United States Military Code of Conduct orders American military personnel to resist capture at all cost and if captured; to attempt to escape, to give the enemy no information other than name, rank, serial number and date of birth, to take charge if senior, to obey orders of the seniors, to accept no favors from the enemy and to make no written or oral statements disloyal to the United States.

In the original writing, the Code was declared the definitive code specifying the responsibilities of American military personnel while in combat or captivity.

The Code holds U.S. prisoners of war responsible to protect--at whatever cost--the cause for which the United States stands by continuing to carry on some form of resistance with the enemy. The establishment of the Code of Conduct was the result of what was considered in 1955 an embarrassing high number of U.S. servicemen held prisoner during the Korean War who apparently did little to resist collaborating with the enemy.

If nothing else comes from Obamas meeting except the fact that it shows he is well liked abroad, then I applaud his visits overseas. Rght now America doesn't look good in the eyes of the European union and the rest of the world for that nature, any dialogue whether before during or after the elections is to be most welcomed. You cannot persuade other countries to work with us if we look and act like like imperialists, and you can bet that view of us would continue if McCain is elected, I doubt if he would have drawn more than 1,000 people simply due to the fact that he spouts more of the same, war, war ,war, and he can't even get the facts straight on the surge, which he is supposed to be the expert on. he constantly says the surge, the surge, hey McBush you got anything else?

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/25/2008 3:12:02 PM

This is excellent Seej. Obama is very popular in Europe and that 's a plus for us.

  • Posted By: heathercincali @ 07/24/2008 11:21:03 PM

What does McCain know about war??? He served in ONE in which he was unable to follow orders, thus was captured and spent the ENTIRE war as a POW. I thank him for his service, but if he was a BAD solider, he will be a HORRIBLE leader, which he has shown in the past. He doesn't speak from the heart, or contemplate anything and (OH MY!) have the ability to change his view after gathering info, he is a political puppet for the Bush family and the re[ublican party.

    Go Obama!!!

    • Posted By: raddave @ 07/25/2008 1:40:35 PM

McCain was not shot down because he failed to obey orders, he was shot down because a missle struck his plane.

    • Posted By: Davole @ 07/25/2008 4:58:20 AM

John McCain is a maverick who has frequently chosen to cross the aisle, thereby turning his back on George Bush and the conservative sector of the Republican party.

      • Posted By: raddave @ 07/25/2008 8:13:25 AM

That was the John McCain of 2000, not the McCain of 2008, who voted with Bush 98% of the time
