Let's face it. Rove/Bush have nothing but contempt for the very underpinnings of our government. About the best thing that will happen is that BUsh will be gone in a few months and hopefully someone who believes in the Constitution (Obama) will honor us more. Everytime I see Rove on Fox I just think "traitor" and change the channel.

In order for America to keep true to founding principles such as of balance of powers, congress needs to persue these actions by the executive branch.. They were set up equally powerful in order to be able to fix each other when needed. Any person, let me say that again... any person, has to at least show up for their hearing, including Rove. He can attempt to claim the priveledges there in court only. Congress must hold him in contempt.

I assume the right to invoke executive privilege for Rove ends with the end of the Bush presidency. Assuming Bush does not issue a blaket pardon for everyone in his administration, when the new congress convenes in January, 2009, let's get new suppoenas issued and an attorney general who will enforce them. Get these crooks under oath.

Few good options to enforce their subpoenas? I can think of one excellent one: Win the Presidency in November. If Obama wins, do you really think an Obama White House is going to refuse to enforce a Congressional subpoena?

My main worry is that Bush will issue pre-emptive pardons to all involved before leaving office.
