    kids die every year and just because this kid is gay it is on every news and on all the websites and all of this stuff. If gays want to be 'eqaul' or whatever they want then we should just treat them like everyone else. And for all of that God stuff come on.........people dont need to give half page comments about what is right god made is blah blah blah keep it to yourself.

    This is pathetic period and the school should be held accountable for allowing this kid to run around dressed the way he was and if they knew this kid was hitting on other kids he should have been tossed out of school period. For the most part the majority of teen boys do not welcome another boy hitting on them let alone chasing them around. IF your gay, fine, most dont care and dont want to see it flaunted around. Shooting the kid however was uncalled for. A simple request for him to stop his behavior towards the person would have sufficed and if that sisnt do then I'm sorry to say a good old fassion azzbeating would have been suffice. OUr society is so "pussiefied" due to the left wing agenda it's sickening. Let kids be kids and as I said if your gay, save it for your nf/gf or whatever your with. The gay community has to understand that just because some places allow you rights you need to act accordingly just like the rest of us do. IF some guy kept chasing a woman down the hall they would be nailed for SH or some other crim. Treat all people to include gays the same. Quit treating them with favor or acting like just because they choose to wear high heels that you have to act all gentle with them. Grow up, men act like men, ladies conduct yourself as such and gays no one wants to see you flaunt your personal life around.

      oh its wrong for him to dress the way he was but its okay for the kids who dress in punk to wear make up, how about the kids who dress in goth, oh what about the kids who think they are moody, or devil worshipers come one his attire had nothing to do with the prejudices that was going on.

    Thats the thing. God created us man and woman to be together not man and man or woman and woman. Also genetically it is WRONG to be homosexual. Now if that is what you feel you are is homosexual and thats the way you are meant to be then fine I am not gonna go and shoot every homosexual person there is but doesn't mean I'm going to be your friend or hang out with you. A seperate country would be a good idea but not for nationalities. God created all men equal.

        Please do not mix Catholics in with Christians. Catholics do not believe the same as Christians do and are completely seperate from Christians. But most people don't know that. The Catholic priests were wrong for what they did. Any priest or minister would be wrong for that I agree. And please don't "group" all christians together based on some of these idiots comments. I do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle but I also don't condoan(sp?) all the bashing that is going on here from either view. I am also not afraid to admit that I don't know how to spell every word correctly but that doesn't make me an idiot.

    Amen sweetpotatopie!! Sadly, I do not believe that we will se such respect from the majority of humanity in our lifetime. I think that if we are to change our mental mindsets, then we must let our conscience guide our decisions in life, rather than letting the law tell us what is right and what is wrong. I do agree that there are many laws that follow our moral laws as well. There are also a lot of bullshit laws that are in place to tell us what is right and wrong just to keep society "in line".

    This does NOT show a national trend towards gay rights being superior to the average person. What if it was a girl who was harassing Brandon? The response of murder would be considered outrageously excessive for a heterosexual advance. This previous comment confirms the bias of homophobia.

      Have you ever heard the saying, ???Everyone has an opinion, just like everyone has an ***???. It???s a crude analogy, but valid. Just because you believe something or hold dear to a particular thought, doesn???t make it true or valid.

      You have to be able to rationally justify your opinion. Unfortunately, you have yet to make a valid argument defending your opinion.

      For instance, if I make a statement, ???Homosexuality is unnatural because it does not exist outside the human species.??? That statement would be proven wrong because there is evidence to contradict that statement. If I make the statement, ???This country is going to hell in a hand basket because of the decline in morals values???, how could this be proven? First, that depends on what you classify as moral values. This definition changes quite often and not just recently. The second problem is the fact that the percentage of the population that identifies themselves as churchgoing has increased over the last two hundred years. Are you saying the increase percentage in church attendance has caused the decline in moral values? Which is the third problem of the statement, cause and effect.

    i have one more thing to say, you know its funny everyone is getting so upset about this child and him expressing himself in school but then you have people saying that he harrassed brandon, just because one person expresses an interest in someone which i never saw that in the article that he came at brandon did that give brandon the right to kill him. true they are teaching sex classes in school but do you know why because this world taunts us everyday with sex via music television and even church and yet it seems that no one finds fault in that what about all these priest who were touching all the innocent altar boys that was wrong and that was suppose to be people of God. we can sit here all night and say Larry was wrong for being who he was and that would be wrong, we can say brandon felt threatened and that would be wrong he had the gun. what we need to do is acknowledge that the world in general as a whole needs to wake up and see how we are the ones corrupting the innocent with our stereotypes we are the ones corrupting our children were are suppose to protect them guide them they can't help what they feel if we are not there to answer the questions about their feelings. and you want to talk about gay being a sin is it not true that women and me both become curious about themselves at an early age and explore their own sexual organs isnt that touching the same sex to he was exploring and area in his life he was curious about we all get curious and we all grow up knowing what we want in life. why are we blaming Larry for his life being cut off. Why are we protecting someone who committed a greater sin thou shalt not kill. we need to check our opinions about the sex issue and focus on the crime. And whose to say that Brandon didn't kill him because he didn't want people to think that he may have liked Larry to. we don't know the whole truth so how can we pass blame

    I think people should read the bible about sodom and gomorrah.. Did not God our creator, destroy and kill all those there that carried on in their ungodly ways. They were destroyed because of their acts of men lying with men and doing what was disgusting in God's eyes. Then the apostle paul said, men who lie with men or change the nautral use of themselves will not see the kingdom of God. Wheather you believe God's word or not I guess in the end when the end comes you will have to belive those that practice homosexuality were wrong.. Paul also said that people would do and believe what they wanted to ... and no wonder most of the religious people's leaders practice the vile acts themselves even preying on children. How many times did it say Jesus committed this disgusting act. If homosexualality was an ok thing to do why did GOd tell the lsrealites not to do it. and repeated it in the time of christ. Go ahead and agree that it is not wrong. go ahead and accept that others have the right to choose for themselves to be gay or accept gays. but in the end you will belive by means of the angry actions of God when he comes to destroy all those ungodly people that he did not create us to lie with the same sex. He created man and woman to make children to fill this earth and live in perfection. Not the satanic degraded disgusting accepting anything goes world we live in today.

      I get where you are coming from. I really do.
      You and soooo many more are missing the point of the article altogether! Some of you have picked up on it but so many have turned this into a gay/lez v/s straight and sometimes twisting it with God. Please stop that.
      I to am a Christian. We are to be in the world but not a part of it. We are not to judge but to forgive as we would be forgiven.
      The fundamental questions were ???HOW WAS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN???? ???WHO IS TO BLAME???? etc??? NOT what GOD would think or approve of. That will all come out in the wash.
      There in no cookie cutter solution to this case. EVERYONE involved was at fault. There are no truly innocent people in this story.
      As adults the school administration should have put a stop to this long before it became a serious problem. It seems to have become a serious problem long before the shooting. No easy answers. This is a very difficult and complex situation.
      I feel sad for both of these boys.
      It seems that Brandon will suffer for this event for the rest of his life.
      So, I ask that you please follow the example of the Christ and not to judge but to forgive as we would be forgiven.

    ok so i know im young im only 15 but i know alot. im not against homosexuality at all if anything i am for it. some of my closest friends are gay. the thing is that people who are against it i think are jus plain dumb cuz they always say god did not intend for this to happen but guess what he did. yah he created two diffrent sexes but he made us who we are. if he wanted us to be gay bi straight whatever then so be it. i think having gay marrige is genius, it be illegal is dumb whatever happened to the constitution there nothing against or for gay marriage in that so i think its only right that we should.

    I am all for gay rights, however, you have to concider everyone involved. This was a child that was still learning about himself and in his confusion lashed out at others, not physically but sexually. This is a wake up call for everyone across the nation. Though I fear that this in a way was ment to happen. Worried teachers, classmates and even his brother were brushed aside and quieted even if it ment putting this child's life in danger. It was in his right to be gay, but it was also his right as a CHILD to be guided and protected. At the first whisper of danger his SAFTEY should have come before his shoes and make up. How could the Princapal just stand by while knowing this child was a threat to himself. Not because he was gay but because he young and learning. I feel that the Vice Principal should have been guiding him, she knew the dangers and she still lead him to his death because she was blinded by her cause. I am sorry for both sides such a tragic end for two young lives.

    I hope this story will teach people lesson that how hate crime can take an innocent person's life. I wish someone could save Larry from this violent hate crime. I wish I could help him. Since I read this story my heart is crying for Larry.
