Tragic to say the least. I think the schools in the UK has more trouble dealing with such topics as Gay or expression of sexuality.

We have not had any murders to which I have heard off, so far, but bullying is much more focused in these issues. I think that (mikeproud) is correct to say that ??? Yet, even though this kid was diagnosed with reactive attachment disorder, the homosexuality community does not want to say, he had a psychotic problem ???

I strongly believe that this was Larry King???s problem, as being a kid of his young years, its very hard to understand who you really are, I know this, as I had problems at his age to at school to. The only good outcome of this tragic, I hope, is that people ( kids and teachers and the public ) can learn that just sweeping it under the carpet , will not make the issues go away. Talk. Talking in groups in schools is the best way forward.

    That???s my opinion anyhow.

My elementry, middle and high schools have ALL taught me not to discriminate against other races, religions or cultures since I can remember. We've been taught about Ruby Bridges, Apartheid, and the Holocaust. Why shouldn't students be taught about Larry King, or Matthew Shepard, the boy in The Laramie Project?
