Gay people are born to hetero parents every day. The "GLB movement" is not brainwashing kids or adults into "becoming" gay...without organizations like the LGBT many children who are gay have no one to talk to. The suicide rate for teenagers is high, the rate for those that are gay are even higher--we need more organizations that help teenagers, especially LGBT teenagers, then maybe the suicide rate will decrease. To help the hate crime rate decrease people need to be more aware, more sensitive, and more compassionate (instead of so judgmental and ignorant).

The GLB movement simply cannot survive in the long-term unless it is able to implant its false belief system in younger generations, since by default they cannot have children of their own to indoctrinate. To accomplish this they have attacked them in the one place they are most vulnerable - the public school system. There is nothing positive about this. Young people cannot make emotionally mature judgements about much at all at that age - much less what is real or appropriate with regards to their sexuality. While exploting children sexually puts most people in jail, the GLB movement has managed to escape those consequences by hiding behind a facade of political correctness, and through fear and intimidation tactics. The truth is, the school sat by and allowed - even encouraged this kids flamboyant behavior, something that would never have been allowed had this kid been harassing girls the same way. This kind of madness will only get worse unless parents demand and ensure that the pro-homosexual agenda is not enshrined in primary and secondary schools. God knows they are going to be blasted by it when they get to college - but at least by then, they arent defenseless.

I say "shame on both Newsweek as well as the gay community" for using this poor boy that is confused with his identity for promoting thier agendas. Shame on you both!

The goverment is made up of them. fighting for thier jobs
as these jurnonlist do to. they write somthing how THEY SEE IT. and most the time unless you have both sides of the sotrie its ONLY the way you see it. I think they need to be responsible for what theyt right.
The world is made up of biast. the right the wrong the left the right the day the night. the whole key is to find the TRUTH with in it all.

It is sad to see a killing resulring from a form of mental illness. This is why it is so very important for those with physical or mental disabilities to find the help that they so desperately need.
In any case, it is dispicable to see anyone kill anyone else for any reason, and should never be tollerated in any case.
The real tragedy though is in allowing the mentally instable people of out country to run free without treatment and placed in harm's way in such a way as this. Where were the counselors for this supposedly homosexual person or the people that were weilding guns? Why was a gun in the situation? What prompted this result?
I suggest that the emphasis on this case not be placed opn the killing, but why it happened? What prompted a child to kill another?

It's sad that he was killed, but at the same time, why is he allowed to wear high heels to middle school and dress like a girl? This is clearly disruptive to the learning environment. Girls shouldn't even be wearing 'high heels' in middle school. I also don't think you can choose to be gay as a little kid. Clearly he was molested by a man and became very confused. He needed some serious counseling, and apparently didn't get it. Why should he be able to make all the students around him uncomfortable at this school? Just because the school fears being sued???? I HATE the political correctness of America these days! Kids are not in charge...they need rules, and limits...Larry certainly did.

I have know several of my friends that have children that at some point ran home crying because the kids on the bus called them gay. then they asked " what does gay mean" . the gay community is pushing gay real heavy.

I missed something. From the tragic ending of a young boy's life we've jumped to rape precursors? Forgetting for a minute (ignoring, really) that it is asinine to equate the behavior of dogs to the behavior of humans, is the point that a young, gay, juvenile brought his murder upon himself (as has already been said, a blaming of the victim)? If so, and if someone in this discussion needs help, the person making that argument (using the term loosely) is the one.

Kinsey described sexual preferences as existing along a continuum. It is a finding that resonates with me. To be perfectly forthcoming, I am at the far right tail of heterosexuality. I know and am perfectly comfortable with people of both sexes whose preferences are more homo, or more ambiguous. I know what my preferences are and the person's preferences next to me are his or her own business. ???No??? is a word I use when the occasion warrants. It may hurt feelings, but is otherwise inoffensive. Unwanted advances, regardless of whether they're homo or hetero, ought to be greeted with refusal, not murder. And, to circle back to the recidivist drawn to imagine that humans are no more able to control themselves than canines, the act of rape correlates poorly with style of dress. What it correlates exceedingly well with is anger and aggression. Get some help before you excuse your own anger and aggression on the basis of what Fido would do with a pork chop. Or enjoy your eventual incarceration.

We are living in a time where any and everything goes when it concerns homosexuauls and lesbians (Gays), as you may want to put it. larry was going through a mental issue as well as a behavioral problem. His foster parents should had seeked more medical, social, behaviour, and emotional counselling for Larry. Just from reading this article alone, I experienced a since of "Wanting to be loved" Larry's outward appearrance. His foster or adopted parents should have done something for larry when he came out of the closet when he was 8-years-old. As well as his school administrators and teachers doing something for him when he started coming to school in girls and women apparrel. There should have been some type of mediation, peer mediation on larry's behalf at such an early age, what is wrong with our society today. we need more interventions on the behalf of our young, rich, poor, and poverty stricken young people at any age. There should not be a timeline concerning adolescents and teen mediation or counselling. Our concerns should be to not let another gruesome murder like larry's happen amongst our young people. My heart goes out each of the young teens family, especially Larry's. We should not our young homosexuals and lesbian teens live in despair or a suicidal state of living. I am not for gays and lesbians, but they are God's children because they are created in his likeness, even though they chose to live this way; he is displeased with them but they are given a chance to turn from this evil sin that God hates. Some where down the road, someone should have been there to counsel and be a respected mediator for larry. If there was someone who really cared, he would be with us today. This is a fact!!!
