I find it funny that the media use to make fun of Clinton if she had a low turn out at an event and now they comment on McCain but they NEVER say anything about Obama. Well check this image out! How many low turn out events Obama had that the media failed to report? The Obama Show is a media made sensation. I truly believe that more and more voters are waking up!

PS-- I don't recall Clinton nor McCain having a turn out as low as this one! If they had, the media would have poked fun at it for days ESPECIALLY if it was Clinton!

      Debunked,

This is from May, how is this relevant now? The man is not God, everyone has a bad day. This still does not change where he is today. Also it was my understanding that neither Clinton nor McCain EVER had anywhere near the turnout , 50K, 35K, 75K, that Obama on a regular bases has, other than this one.

Isn't it funny, sj? We should go back to the Obama's home movies where Barack was 8yrs old, and was caught picking his nose.

Or, when he was caught cheating on his wife.............OH WAIT, THAT WAS MCCAIN......my bad!!!!

          Hi KB,

Yes the very familiar smell of desperation is definitely in the air. AGAIN!

        SJ,

So what, the pic is from May! The truth of the matter is that we really DO NOT KNOW where Obama is today because the media fails to do real objective reporting about him!

That auditorium was ALMOST EMPTY---that was a HORRIBLE DAY not a bad day! I guess his camp tried to make up for it with the Oregon rally that included over 75,000 people however the media CONVENIENTLY left out that a very popular music group was performing!!

        • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/23/2008 4:47:05 PM

OMG. You are correct about Oregon. Totally a staged event.

        • Posted By: Kboogie @ 07/23/2008 1:25:45 PM

So, you're saying that the record-breaking numbers that Obama's rallies produced throughout the primaries were flukes? And, that the global media frenzy, including every major US network, and the UNEQUALED excitement that OBAMA generates is a figment of our collective imaginations? And, that the increasing lack of interest in McCain's candidacy is somehow the media's fault?

          Ohhhh, I see.

I'm still waiting for your numbers on the final tally of the Democratic primaries. Don't forget the source also. If you need help, go to RCP.com.........make sure you quote the POPULAR VOTE TOTAL, not the ESTIMATES...i know how sneaky you HRC's can be......LOL

          Obama 17,535,458 vs HRC 17,493,836

Yes, KB, anything good our guy has ever done, is just a fluke to the Obama haters.

OK lets look at this part of your comment. First of all The Decemberists are a local band and not really that popular, I read somewhere that they usually get about 10-15K concert attendees at their max so that leaves 65,000 people who were there to see Obama. I am still looking for the link as it was several months agao but will definitely post it for you when it is found.

Fox' home page had one story on Obama and one story on McCain.

The Obama header say Obama says Israel Has the Right to defend itself.

The McCain header. Jindal adds to the list of McCain VP drop outs.

There is just not anything positive to say about McCain and that should be expected when you're talking about a person who would send young women and men to die in a war ,cooked up by a republican group of mouth-breathing out of touch hate mongers, just to gain their support for his lifelong ambition to be president. Even Fox news has found him unappetizing.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/23/2008 1:21:21 PM

Wow, B, I'm surprised about Jindal dropping out. Cowen was so certain he would be VP and that with that ticket Obama was finished. Hear that Cowen? Who do you think is really finished now?

        Hi P,

So the day is starting off with good news. Great!

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/23/2008 2:01:12 PM

Hi SJ, yes, good news. Bad news for Cowen who was enamored of Bobby Jindal and was certain he would be VP. That must be why Cowen is keeping a low profile. I'm not bashing Bobby Jindal, I hear he's a good guy and even posted that to Cowen. Cowen on the other hand, called me names last week. I was called idiot, poop head and something else. Now Cowen has gone into hiding. Cowen, come out come out where ever you are or I'll huff and I'll puff and blow your house down. Lol!

          • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 07/24/2008 4:30:24 PM

McCain will more than likely try announcing his VP during the Dem Convention LOL! Maybe another reporter and his camera man will be there to record this event LOL!

There is this smell in the air, I have smelled it before during this election season. What is it????What is it??? AAAAH YES IT IS THE SWEET SICKLY PITIFUL SMELL OF DESPERATION!

            Yep that's what it is!

            Hi Pia,
I have inside information on the VP pick and Jindal was not on the top of the short list anyway so this is no surprise.
I'm posting this to you because I know you keep track of the people on here. I'm leaving on vacation on Friday. I doubt I'll be missed much but just in case I was written off as dead after 7 days of silence i didn't want to disappoint anyone when I returned in 8 days. Where we go there is no access to TV, computers etc and we like it like that.

Loriw, have a wonderful vacation. Sounds like you will have time to just relax and come back refreshed to blog on Newsweek up until the GE. ENJOY, you will be missed. : - D

There is a lover's quarrell starting, with Hussein and the press (ANOTHER, HolyRoller, early on, promise), AND Hussein is losing ground, in crucial territory. So, NOT A GOOD DAY, all in all, FOR ALLAH or his ONLY BEGOTTEN.

Why do you continue to post these types of things, why is it that people like you and OTHERS who have decided to vote for McCain feel the need to make up nonsense about Obama, just show your displeasure by not voting for him. it is very simple.

It seems to me that all of you tend to spend more time thinking about and discussing Sen. Obama than his own supporters. That says a lot! Well you could be discussing McCain's 'SECRET SURGE" LOL!

Now they have massive, dammage control, to do. America is sick of it. Most folks are fed, up. America loves Hero's and Winners. Trying to ignore Sen. McCain, is going to bite them hard. By saying that Jindal was on the short list as smoke and mirrors, I interpreted it that he was not a creditable candidate for the VP role. That it was just smoke and mirrors as if they didnt want him on their short list but using him cuz of his ethnicity (?sp), being from Indian heritage. What did you mean by smoke and mirrors then?

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/23/2008 2:24:40 PM

Sounds about right. I wonder who's next on the list to drop out? Remember a couple of weeks ago the anti-Obamas were making fun of him because a couple of VP candidates had dropped out? Now the shoe is on the other foot. Good.

          • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/23/2008 3:48:18 PM

I was even more surprised when Webb strongly expressed that he did not want to be VP for Obama. He would have bee a great VP (actually, a better democratic nominee than Obama based on that he had realy qualifications). Jindal is totally dedicated to his state of Louisiana as Governor so it is at least understandable why he turned down the VP role.

BIG BIG difference. The Hussein drop outs...were because, they were afraid of the possibility, of a long term, negative, public opinion, later. If Barry goes up in flames, (like HolyRoller has BEEN telling you), they may be found "guilty by association". I know, I know, obamamohammeds don't think, that counts, for anything. Too bad. The rest of America, knows better.

McCain, on the other hand, is upfront with his guys. He tells them,..."sorry friend, but you're just not it." They do the right thing, and withdraw. That is what, Hussein should consider, doing. It would prevent a future, HUGE embarrasment. You know...do what's right for the country.

Sen. McCain, will announce his choice, very soon. It will be a wise choice. It will have an immediate impact.

            Hussein is in trouble.

John McCain continues to enjoy a solid lead over Barack Obama in Georgia. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the state shows McCain attracting 48% of the vote while Obama earns 39%. When leaners are included, McCain???s lead expands to eleven percentage points, 53% to 42%. These figures show little change in the race since late June.

AND WHAT'S UP WITH THE BUCKEYE STATE????? Don't they KNOW, Hussein is their savior??? That the messiah, is COUNTING on them????? Well...what's wrong with this picture???

Fellow Viet Nam Vets Chime in on John McCain and his so called "Torture" at the hands of the N. Viet Namese !!!

A declassified DOD document reports an interview between POW McCain and Dr. Fernando Barral, a Spanish psychiatrist who was living in Cuba at the time. The interview was published in the Havana Granma in January 1970.

According to the DOD report, the meeting between Barral and McCain (which was photographed by the Vietnamese) took place away from the prison at the office of the Committee for Foreign Cultural Relations in Hanoi. During the meeting, POW McCain sipped coffee and ate oranges and cakes with his interrogator.

While talking with Barral, McCain seriously violated the military Code of Conduct by failing to evade answering questions "to the utmost" of his ability when he, according to the DOD report, helped Barral by answering questions in Spanish, a language McCain had learned in school.

1973 - McCain was released from the Hilton on March 15, 1973.

Two Former POWs Say They Doubt McCain Was Physically Abused

1999 - March 25, 1999, The Phoenix New Times: Ted Guy and Gordon "Swede" Larson, two former POWs, who were McCain's senior ranking officers (SRO's), at the time McCain says he was tortured in solitary confinement, told the New Times that while they could not guarantee that McCain was not physically harmed, they doubted it.

"Between the two of us, it's our belief, and to the best of our knowledge, that no prisoner was beaten or harmed physically in that camp [known as "The Plantation"]," Larson says. ". . . My only contention with the McCain deal is that while he was at The Plantation, to the best of my knowledge and Ted's knowledge, he was not physically abused in any way. No one was in that camp. It was the camp that people were released from."

Big Note: In 1993, during one of his many trips back to Hanoi, McCain asked the Vietnamese not to Make Public the Records they hold Pertaining to Returned U.S. POWs.

Obama is simply allowing Citizen McCain, to Hang himself via His Own Tongue, while he enjoys his International Tour of the MiddleEast & Europe. Please Continue Citizen McCain...Please, by Alll Means, Continue. McCain, You are doing Yourself In and its a Your Words that make this Self Implosion all possible...

    Carry On, Senator.

CBS: It seemed like a great way to counter Obamamania. Sen. John McCain would board a helicopter in New Orleans today, skim quickly over the Gulf of Mexico and land on an oil rig -- a made-for-TV moment to highlight his call for offshore drilling, an issue that Republicans believe will be a big winner in November.

Then came Hurricane Dolly, a Category 2 storm that made a helicopter ride impossible. And then, improbably, a 600-foot oil tanker collided with a barge on the Mississippi River, creating a 12-mile oil slick and causing diesel fumes to waft over the city's French Quarter. The trip was off.

In this campaign, it seems, McCain just can't catch a break.

Through a series of missteps, gaffes and bad luck, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has endured a difficult week in what has been a choppy campaign. He now has no major event to offset Sen. Barack Obama's speech at Berlin's famed Victory Column, where a huge turnout is expected. Instead, he will be in Columbus, Ohio, speaking at a nighttime cancer event.

"An extra day spent in Ohio is not really a problem," senior aide Mark Salter said, insisting that a bit of bad luck does not make a trend, even as the campaign was scrambling to fill the time.

"There's a hurricane; we had to cancel an event," he said with a shrug after McCain spent a rainy day in northeast Pennsylvania attending a town hall meeting in Wilkes-Barre and a fundraiser, and commiserating with a couple at a grocery store in Bethlehem about the high price of food. "That's not something that's going to happen every day. I'm not going to worry about it."

Before his overseas trip, Obama faced questions about the wisdom of his pledge to remove U.S. troops from Iraq within 16 months of taking office, should he be elected. But as the week began, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki appeared to endorse that timeline, and the Bush administration said that it supports a "time horizon" for withdrawing troops. Suddenly, it was McCain who was forced to explain his opposition to the withdrawal plan.

Meanwhile, Obama's trip to the war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq, followed by stops in Jordan, Israel and Europe, created a media frenzy,

[The] American people may be repelled at the sight of a man touring the planet in presidential style who has yet to even be nominated by his own party. There is something a little off about Obamapalooza, even if it is not entirely the candidate???s fault. The self-conscious mimicking of J.F.K. can be cloying or even worse. Kennedy went to Berlin in the midst of a Cold War crisis. To stand at the Brandenburg Gate and declare ???Ich bin ein Berliner??? took enormous guts. Semi-Senile John McCain on the the Bush Administation having Positive Effect on the Lowering of Gas prices, though in Fact it is the (Speculators) that Dictate Price Increase or Reduction. The Speculators are now Worried about the Congress, Senate, IRS and FBI Probing and Prosecuting them, thats why you SEE a Lowering of the Price at the Pump, Not the Bush Threats of Offshore Oil Drillings....Duh !!!

Earlier, campaigning in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., McCain credited the recent $10-a-barrel drop in the price of oil to President Bush's lifting of a presidential ban on offshore drilling, an action he has been advocating in his presidential campaign.

The cost of oil and gasoline is "on everybody's mind in this room," McCain told a town-hall meeting.

He criticized Obama for opposing drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Bush recently lifted the executive order banning offshore drilling that his father put in place in 1990. He also asked Congress to lift its own moratorium on oil exploration on the outer continental shelf which includes coastal waters as close as three miles from shore.

"The price of oil dropped $10 a barrel," said McCain, who argued that the psychology of lifting the ban has affected world markets.

NOTE: The White House didn't go that far. Presidential SpokesWoman Dana Perino said the PRICE DROP also could reflect diminished demand.

"I don't know if we fully deserve the credit," Perino said.

Bush Administration: "We don't PREDICT what HAPPENS in the MARKET," she said. "We can't really tell. Certainly, taking that action would send a signal that at least the executive branch is serious about moving forward and increasing the supply we have in America."

A barrel of light, sweet crude fell $1.86 to $126.56 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That's down from more than $140 a barrel earlier in the summer. There are 42 gallons in each barrel.

Semi-Senile, Johh McCain, on the "Surge"

The major Sunni sheik who John McCain said was protected by the surge and subsequently helped lead the Anbar Awakening, was actually assassinated by an al-Qaeda led group in midst of the surge.

On Tuesday evening, McCain falsely claimed that the downturn in violence in Iraq's Anbar province was a result of the surge, when in fact the surge began months afterward. Moreover, he said, if it weren't for the work of U.S. forces, the major Sunni figure leading that awakening wouldn't have had the protection he needed.

"Colonel MacFarland was contacted by one of the major Sunni sheiks," said the Senator. "Because of the surge we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening."

The Arizona Republican's campaign went further the next day, claiming that the major figures that turned around Anbar province would have been killed had the surge policy not been in place. "If Barack Obama had had his way, the Sheiks who started the Awakening would have been murdered at the hands of al Qaeda," said spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Sadly, that murder took place even with the surge underway. In September 2007, Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, the sheik widely credited with persuading Sunni leaders to turn against al Qaeda in Iraq, died in a bomb attack in Anbar. His work, prior to then, was held as a major effort in transforming the province from one of Iraq's deadliest areas into one of its safest.

It was in a September 2006 interview with UPI, when U.S. Army Col. Sean MacFarland first spoke about Sattar's efforts. "Some of the sheikhs have begun to step forward and some of the insurgent groups began to fight against al Qaeda," he said. His reference was Sattar, according to a Reuters article published upon the sheik's death.

Below is more from the Reuters article on Sattar's death:

"When U.S. Army Col. Sean MacFarland, working in his Pentagon office last Thursday, heard that a tribal leader had been killed in Iraq's Anbar province, his first reaction was: "Please don't let it be Sattar."
His fears proved well-founded. A bomb had killed Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, the founder of a movement of Sunni leaders who turned against al Qaeda in Iraq, who are also Sunnis, and transformed Anbar from one of Iraq's deadliest areas into one of its safest.

MacFarland is in a unique position to offer insights into the movement Sattar led and how it may develop without him. As a brigade commander in Iraq, he was present at the alliance's founding and worked closely with Abu Risha for months.

"I owe him a lot," MacFarland said. "He was a young guy with a great vision of the future and he was a fast friend of the United States."

John McCain seriously violated the Military Code of Conduct by trading "military information" and making numerous public statements that appeared favorable to the communist war effort in exchange for "special treatment."

The Code: Consisting of six articles in simple language, the United States Military Code of Conduct orders American military personnel to resist capture at all cost and if captured; to attempt to escape, to give the enemy no information other than name, rank, serial number and date of birth, to take charge if senior, to obey orders of the seniors, to accept no favors from the enemy and to make no written or oral statements disloyal to the United States.

In the original writing, the Code was declared the definitive code specifying the responsibilities of American military personnel while in combat or captivity.

The Code holds U.S. prisoners of war responsible to protect--at whatever cost--the cause for which the United States stands by continuing to carry on some form of resistance with the enemy. The establishment of the Code of Conduct was the result of what was considered in 1955 an embarrassing high number of U.S. servicemen held prisoner during the Korean War who apparently did little to resist collaborating with the enemy.

Most of McCain's Injuries were Prior to the "Hanoi Hilton" Something that John McCain's own words cannot help him ....EVADE

    John McCain's Collaborations:

During his 23rd mission over Vietnam on Oct. 26, 1967, Lt. Commander John McCain was shot down by a surface-to-air missile.

To relate the event, McCain later recalled that he was "flying right over the heart of Hanoi in a dive at about 4,500 feet, when a Russian missile the size of a telephone pole came up--the sky was full of them--and blew the right wing off my Skyhawk dive bomber. It went into an inverted, almost straight-down spin. -U.S. News and World Report, May 14, 1973 article written by former POW John McCain

"I pulled the ejection handle, and was knocked unconscious by the force of the ejection--the air speed was about 500 knots. I didn't realize it at the moment, but I had broken my right leg around the knee, my right arm in three places and my left arm. I regained consciousness just before I landed by parachute in a lake right in the center of Hanoi, one they called the Western Lake. My helmet and my oxygen mask had been blown off. "I hit the water and sank to the bottom . . . I did not feel any pain at the time, and I was able to rise to the surface. I took a breath of air and started sinking again." -U.S. News and World Report, May 14, 1973 article written by former POW John McCain

After bobbing up and down, he was eventually pulled from the water by Vietnamese who had swam out to get him.

A mob gathered on shore and McCain was bayoneted in the foot and his shoulder was smashed with a rifle butt. He was put on a truck and taken to Hanoi's main prison.

After being periodically slapped around for "three or four days" by his captors who wanted military information from him, McCain called for an officer on his fourth day of captivity. He told the officer, "O.K., I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital." -U.S. News and World Report, May 14, 1973 article written by former POW John McCain

McCain was taken to Gai Lam military hospital normally unavailable to American POWS. (U.S. government documents)

"Demands for military information were accompanied by threats to terminate my medical treatment if I [McCain] did not cooperate. Eventually, I gave them my ship's name and squadron number, and confirmed that my target had been the power plant." Page 193-194, Faith of My Fathers by John McCain.

POWs.

BELOW is a quote by Obama in regards to his beliefs about energy and the environment. Then below that is an excerpt of an article about the Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act . Obama was part of the group of 6 who introduced this Act to the Senate in last year (Jan. 2007). If he means what he believes in, what type of judgment was this he made just last year? ? Just one more example that he talks a good talk.

    ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT

    Quote from Obamas Website:

Plan For a Clean Energy Future

Well, I dont believe that CLIMATE CHANGE is just an issue thats convenient to bring up during a campaign. I believe its one of the greatest MORAL CHALLENGES of our generation. Thats why Ive fought successfully in the Senate to increase our investment in renewable fuels. Thats why I reached across the aisle to come up with a plan to raise our fuel standards. . . And I didnt just give a speech about it in front of some environmental audience in California. I went to Detroit, I stood in front of a group of automakers, and I told them that when I am president, there will be no more excuses . . . we will help them retool their factories, but they will have to make cars that use less oil.
??? Barack Obama, Speech in Des Moines, IA, October 14, 2007

    Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act

The Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act would establish a new massively polluting industry to convert coal into liquid transportation fuel. The bill provides a variety of incentives for liquid coal, including tax incentives, loan guarantees, expanded plant siting, and a host of other government subsidies. The bill also allows the Department of Defense to enter into fuel purchasing contracts for up to 25 years.

The serious economic and environmental downsides of liquid coal prevent it from being a good option for a cleaner, healthier energy future. A liquid coal (coal-to-liquids) transportation fuels industry would DOUBLE the global warming emissions of regular gasoline and would require millions of dollars in investments. Instead of funneling those millions into a new, dirty industry, we should be investing in efficiency and renewable energy technologies that exist today and can help us solve global warming.

McCain is one of the most honorablemen in Washington who always fought the system and lot's of Republicans hated him. However....a portion of this nation has clearly lost its mind. Obama has learned A LOT from people who hate and now he is being pushed by American media. Give us a black President, no problem, but NOT this man......no way.

Obama had a "close, personal, 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright......who is close friends with one of America's BIGGEST racists, Louis "I hate Jews and White Devils" Farakhan.

Did Obama object when his OWN CHURCH gave Farakhan a lifetime achievement award? This is the conversation at the water coolers of the nation, folks. Most Jews and Hillary fans will NOT vote for Obama and the polls are showing it. Do you really know who Farrakhan is? Did you forget? Did you also forget that Obama's mentor is convinced the US Government planted AIDS so it would exterminate black people? True story.

The Obama Fever is wearing thin. Gallop now shows a 6 point lead. Remember, John Kerry had a 6 point lead over George Bush in 2004.....and he lost in November. Same with Dukakis and Bush 1 in 1988....a double digit lead in July. And he got smoked in November.

This is the SAME nation that re-elected an unpopular President Bush during an unpopular war just 3 1/2 years ago. Translation? This is so predictable.- McCain will win in November.
