McCain is a nice guy , but he admits he knows nothing about economics , he doest even know how to use the internet. All he knows is War. We dont need War. We need an economy where the hard working middle class can survive. Under George Bush we are building bridges in Iraq while America's bridges are falling down. Vote Obama

Florida Democrat Robert Wexler isn't pleased with the McCain campaign's decision to attack remarks made by Barack Obama during his visit today to Israel's Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem.

In a statement to the Huffington Post, Wexler called it "shameful" and "unconscionable" that the McCain campaign is "using Senator Obama's somber visit to Israel's Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem as a backdrop to score cheap political points instead of focusing on the security needs of the nation."

Wexler, who was one of Obama's most high-profile Jewish surrogates during the primary season, added that Obama's trip "is a time to strengthen America's historic relationship with our ally Israel and to renew our nation's commitment to Israel's right to self defense and security."

Earlier Wednesday, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds contrasted Obama's invocation of the familiar cry "never again" with a past statement in which the Illinois Democrat suggested that United States could not deploy troops whenever and wherever genocide is taking place.

Wexler said the McCain spokesman's attack "smacks of desperation and I urge Senator McCain to denounce this unconscionable statement and join Senator Obama and Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Maliki in supporting a safe and secure redeployment of American troops from Iraq."

If the report, which is seen as a huge blow to John McCain's candidacy, is true -- and with Chalabi, skepticism is required -- it would symbolize a Shakespearean act of political betrayal. Few American figures have done more to advance Chalabi's cause and career than the presumptive Republican nominee and his closest advisers.

As detailed in Aram Roston's book, "The Man Who Pushed America To War," the Arizona Republican was on Chalabi's International Committee for a Free Iraq way back in 1991. During the Clinton administration, McCain tried to pressure the president to set up an Iraqi government in exile and co-sponsored the Iraq Liberation Act, which called on the U.S. to overthrow Saddam Hussein and fund opposition groups. Around that time, as John Judis of The New Republic reported, McCain welcomed Chalabi to Washington and "pressured the administration to give him money. When General Anthony Zinni cast doubt upon the effectiveness of the Iraqi opposition, McCain rebuked him at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee."

When McCain made his first run for the White House, Chalabi called him his preferred candidate. Three years later McCain returned the favor, calling the Iraqi exile "a patriot who has the best interests of his country at heart."

"His ties to McCain go back 18 years," Roston told the Huffington Post. "McCain has been supportive of his cause for so long, and signed on to it early, in 1991... I don't know if they are still in communication, but it is hard to imagine after this especially."

???He assured us there was a misunderstanding when he said in [June] he supports the Israelis rights to hold on to Jerusalem. He told us he corrected this right away and that he supports a negotiated settlement that will give the Palestinians territory,??? said the senior PA official.

Semi-Senile John McCain on the the Bush Administation having Positive Effect on the Lowering of Gas prices, though in Fact it is the (Speculators) that Dictate Price Increase or Reduction. The Speculators are now Worried about the Congress, Senate, IRS and FBI Probing and Prosecuting them, thats why you SEE a Lowering of the Price at the Pump, Not the Bush Threats of Offshore Oil Drillings....Duh !!!

Earlier, campaigning in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., McCain credited the recent $10-a-barrel drop in the price of oil to President Bush's lifting of a presidential ban on offshore drilling, an action he has been advocating in his presidential campaign.

The cost of oil and gasoline is "on everybody's mind in this room," McCain told a town-hall meeting.

He criticized Obama for opposing drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Bush recently lifted the executive order banning offshore drilling that his father put in place in 1990. He also asked Congress to lift its own moratorium on oil exploration on the outer continental shelf which includes coastal waters as close as three miles from shore.

"The price of oil dropped $10 a barrel," said McCain, who argued that the psychology of lifting the ban has affected world markets.

NOTE: The White House didn't go that far. Presidential SpokesWoman Dana Perino said the PRICE DROP also could reflect diminished demand.

"I don't know if we fully deserve the credit," Perino said.

Bush Administration: "We don't PREDICT what HAPPENS in the MARKET," she said. "We can't really tell. Certainly, taking that action would send a signal that at least the executive branch is serious about moving forward and increasing the supply we have in America."

A barrel of light, sweet crude fell $1.86 to $126.56 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That's down from more than $140 a barrel earlier in the summer. There are 42 gallons in each barrel.

Semi-Senile, Johh McCain, on the "Surge"

The major Sunni sheik who John McCain said was protected by the surge and subsequently helped lead the Anbar Awakening, was actually assassinated by an al-Qaeda led group in midst of the surge.

On Tuesday evening, McCain falsely claimed that the downturn in violence in Iraq's Anbar province was a result of the surge, when in fact the surge began months afterward. Moreover, he said, if it weren't for the work of U.S. forces, the major Sunni figure leading that awakening wouldn't have had the protection he needed.

"Colonel MacFarland was contacted by one of the major Sunni sheiks," said the Senator. "Because of the surge we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening."

The Arizona Republican's campaign went further the next day, claiming that the major figures that turned around Anbar province would have been killed had the surge policy not been in place. "If Barack Obama had had his way, the Sheiks who started the Awakening would have been murdered at the hands of al Qaeda," said spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Sadly, that murder took place even with the surge underway. In September 2007, Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, the sheik widely credited with persuading Sunni leaders to turn against al Qaeda in Iraq, died in a bomb attack in Anbar. His work, prior to then, was held as a major effort in transforming the province from one of Iraq's deadliest areas into one of its safest.

It was in a September 2006 interview with UPI, when U.S. Army Col. Sean MacFarland first spoke about Sattar's efforts. "Some of the sheikhs have begun to step forward and some of the insurgent groups began to fight against al Qaeda," he said. His reference was Sattar, according to a Reuters article published upon the sheik's death.

Below is more from the Reuters article on Sattar's death:

"When U.S. Army Col. Sean MacFarland, working in his Pentagon office last Thursday, heard that a tribal leader had been killed in Iraq's Anbar province, his first reaction was: "Please don't let it be Sattar."
His fears proved well-founded. A bomb had killed Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, the founder of a movement of Sunni leaders who turned against al Qaeda in Iraq, who are also Sunnis, and transformed Anbar from one of Iraq's deadliest areas into one of its safest.

MacFarland is in a unique position to offer insights into the movement Sattar led and how it may develop without him. As a brigade commander in Iraq, he was present at the alliance's founding and worked closely with Abu Risha for months.

"I owe him a lot," MacFarland said. "He was a young guy with a great vision of the future and he was a fast friend of the United States."

PART 2 Woods Funds Investments (association with Radical Groups):

Setting aside Obamas relationship with William Ayers, the Board on which they served together deserves additional scrutiny. And, in fact, the Woods Funds INVESTMENTS appear to be quite problematic for Obama.

    * Arab American Action Network (AAAN): Supports expanded rights for illegal aliens and was founded by anti-Israel professor Rashid Khalidi, former director of the PLO press agency and onetime moderator of PLO advisory committee.

AAAN views the United States as a nation wherein ARAB CITIZENS are routinely MALTREATED. To remedy this perceived societal injustice, the organization aims to challenge government policies that violate the civil, political and human rights OF THE ARAB American and ARAB immigrant community. Among these policies are DETENTIONS, DEPORTATIONS and OTHER ATTACKS on immigrants that result from Homeland Security measures!

AAANs hostile view of the JEWISH state is further manifest in the organizations reference to Israels creation in 1948 as Al Nakba ( The Catastrophe ).

Among the current luminaries of AAANs staff are (a) Vice President Ali Abunimah, who maintains the website ElectroicIntifada.com and is a Board member of the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, and (b) Executive Director Hatem Abudayyeh, who has condemned the Israeli government and its military killing machine.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
    * American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Radical Quaker organization that supports Americas unilateral disarmament (and that backed) the Vietnamese Communists, Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, and the PLO.

In fact, AFSC recently formed a partnership with MEChA. MEChA is one of several groups that intend to reclaim Aztlán (the southwestern portion of the United States):
The AFSC is a Chicana and Chicano student movement directly linked to Aztlán. As Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán, they say they are a nationalist movement of Indigenous Gente that LAY CLAIM TO THE LAND THAT IS OURS BY BIRTHRIGHT. As a nationalist movement we seek to free our people from the exploitation of an oppressive society that occupies our land. Put simply, MEChA's mission is straightforward. To overthrow the United States Government and establish a new form of government.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
    SUMMARY

Put very simply, Obama must explain not only his relationship to Ayers and Dohrn, but also his SUPPORT OF RADICAL GROUPS that support the overthrow of the United States Government. The MainStreamMedia is doing us a huge disservice not focusing more on his past and fully vetting him.

    BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

McCain Gets History Of The Surge Wrong, CBS Doesn't Air Footage!!!!!
    July 22, 2008 11:43 PM
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/22/mccain-gets-history-of-th_n_114419.html

During a CBS interview on Tuesday, John McCain made a stone cold error on a subject about which he claims expert knowledge: the "surge" strategy in Iraq. In an interview with anchor Katie Couric, the Arizona Republican said, inaccurately, that the surge strategy was responsible for the much-touted "Anbar Awakening," in which Sunni sheiks turned against Al Qaeda, helping in turn to reduce violence in the country.

Katie Couric: Senator McCain, Senator Obama says, while the increased number of US troops contributed to increased security in Iraq, he also credits the Sunni awakening and the Shiite government going after militias. And says that there might have been improved security even without the surge. What's your response to that?

McCain: I don't know how you respond to something that is as-- such a false depiction of what actually happened. Colonel MacFarland was contacted by one of the major Sunni sheiks. Because of the surge we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening. I mean, that's just a matter of history.

In fact, as Spencer Ackerman and Ilan Goldenberg have reported, the record firmly establishes the opposite: instead of being caused by the surge, the key signs of the Anbar Awakening occurred not only before that strategy was implemented, but before it was ever conceived.

Yet McCain's error was not seen by any CBS Evening News viewers. As MSNBC's Keith Olbermann noted (video below), "CBS curiously, to say the least, left it on the edit room floor. It aired Katie Couric's question, but in response, it aired part of McCain's answer to the other question instead." (Ironically, this edit came on the same day that McCain's campaign released a video mocking the media's "love affair" with Obama.)

    ----------------------------------

McCain is a liar and a puppet for the ready-made "Bush and Neo-Con Agenda".

The GOP could've at least chosen a candidate who's not suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's.

If you say so, Holy. Pardon us folk who put more stock in the expert's analysis. I do understand your reluctance to accept it, though. The "idea" of the surge is the only stronghold McCain has on voters these days. If that were to be debunked, he'd go down faster than Sinclair on a teenage Vietnamese boy.

Wow, that was in bad taste. You see what you do to me?!?!?!

Me thinks you got it backwards. The Surge worked. Face it. But keep on backpaddling.

                    "Worked", how?

Hey, I'll be the first to say that the surge was successful in reducing US troop casualties. OBAMA has said the same. He never refused to acknowledge that. But it HASNT made the region any more governable than it was before...which is the goal of the BUSH-NEOCON agenda.

In order to accomplish that, surge after surge would have to be authorized, and will continue to weaken a US economy, and at the same time ignore our military efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is OBAMA'S stance. And, that's what I support.

                    Who's back-peddling?

I don't care how much whipped-cream you throw on top of a pile of poop. It's still poop if you eat it.

I throw that poop with whipped cream right back at you with a big fat cherry on top. Oh, and of course a huge portion of NUTS!!! LMAO.

Oh thats Ok, KB. Larry probably has actually done that. I don't care for the man at all. That is not the point. The point is.....HolyRoller believes Larry and Barry, did drugs and had sex. Donald Young was executed, and I suspect, Hussein's handlers, had responsibility. It IS A BIG deal. It deserves investigation. No one has had the nerve to even look. There is a good bit of evidence, involved. It is not going away.

Not true. According to you, it has been investigated...phone records were confiscated by the CPD...remember? The judge has allowed the lawsuit to move forward...remember? I'm sorry, what were the findings of any of this? "They can't shut him up"...isn't that what you said? You even said that Young's family made statements alleging Obama's involvement. (You never did give me the source on that one)

But that's cool. I know this a perverse hobby of yours. Please continue............

HolyRoller didn't take a limo ride with Larry. Barry did. AND he supplied their cocaine. Larry was from, out-of-town. Barry had the connections. I hear he still does. At least, with the ones, who didn't suddenly become DEAD.

    YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!!!

    Vanity Fair satirizes McCain/New Yorker!!!
    http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/07/vanity_fair_satirizes_mccainne.html

The magazine posted a cartoon on its website featuring John McCain holding a walker with one hand and giving the fist bump to a pill-popping (well pill-holding) Cindy McCain. The Constitution burns in the fireplace of the Oval Office while a painting of George W. Bush hangs on the wall.
    -----------------------------------

The funny thing is, Obama's cover was a depiction of silly rumors. The McCain cover illustrates factual events.

    HILARIOUS!!!!!!

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/23/2008 3:26:29 PM

The reality is that Obamas New Yorker cover hit home on the reality of what alot of Obama opposers fear about him and his wife. If it was to be meant as satire it flopped. It only reinforced the thinking of a good portion of Obama non voters.

      • Posted By: Kboogie @ 07/23/2008 3:49:31 PM

If that's the case, who cares? It hasn't hurt his numbers, and only made already existing Obama detractors feel warm and fuzzy in thier own ignorance. What's funny is that the Vanity Fair cover satirizes factual accounts of the McCain's life.

        • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/23/2008 4:04:20 PM

I agree. I never said it hurt his numbers. But it probably reinforced those doubters to stay where they are about not voting for him. I thought the guy that came up with that supposed satire hit the mark on everything some people are fearful of.

          • Posted By: Kboogie @ 07/23/2008 4:57:26 PM

That was the point of it. The humor was in knowing that there are idiots who bask in ignorance. AND, will CHOOSE to stay there in spite of commonsense, and common knowledge.

            • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/23/2008 5:19:29 PM

Oh, I'm sorry. You must be one of the ones who the New Yorker was making fun of. You're not an idiot, despite the facts being presented to you daily. You just CHOOSE to stay misinformed.

no I haven't, but I will look. I assure you, it will not bother me. My Grandfather was the smartest and wisest man, I ever knew.

It's almost amazing, how wisdom and the sudden ability to make correct decisions, tend to occur much easier after 50-60. Especially, for men. Women tend to get smarter sooner.

(Continued from another of my Posts above)

PART 2 - BARACK OBAMAs Friend Rashid Khalidi (Palestinian Activist)

Khalidis farewell dinner was replete with ANTI-ISRAEL speakers. One, a young Palestinian American, recited a poem in Obamas presence that accused the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticized U.S. support of Israel, the Times reported: Another speaker, who reportedly talked while Obama was present, compared ZIONIST SETTLERS ON THE WEST BANK to Osama bin Laden.
    ISRAEL A CONSTANT SORE.

Just last week, WND noted Obama termed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a "constant sore" in an interview just five days after Khalidi wrote an opinion piece in the Nation magazine in which he called the Palestinian question a RUNNING SORE.

In his piece, Palestine: Liberation Deferred, Khalidi suggests Israel carried out ETHNIC CLEANSING of Palestinians; writes Western powers backed Israels establishment due to guilt of the Holocaust; laments the Palestinian Authoritys stated acceptance of a Palestinian state ONLY in the WEST BANK, GAZA STRIP and EASTERN SECTIONS OF JERUSALEM; and argues ISRAEL SHOULD BE DISSOLVED and instead a bi-national, cantonal system should be set up in which Jews and Arabs reside.

During documented speeches and public events, Khalidi has called Israel an apartheid system in creation and a destructive RACIST state. He has multiple times implied support for Palestinian TERROR, calling SUICIDE BOMBINGS A RESPONSE TO ISRAELI AGGRESSION. He dedicated his 1986 book, Under Siege, to those who gave their lives in defense of the cause of Palestine and independence of Lebanon.

Critics assailed the book as excusing Palestinian terrorism and claim the dedication is in reference to the Palestine Liberation Organization, which at that time committed scores of anti-Western attacks and was labeled by the U.S. as a terrorist group SYMPATHY FOR THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE.

Speaking in a joint interview with WND and WABC radio, Khalidi was asked about his 2000 fundraiser for Obama. I was just doing my duties as a Chicago resident to help my local politician, Khalidi stated.

Khalidi said he supports OBAMA for president, because he is the only candidate who has EXPRESSED SYMPATHY FOR THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE.

Khalidi also LAUDED OBAMA FOR SAYING HE SUPPORTS TALKS WITH IRAN. If the U.S. can talk with the Soviet Union during the Cold War, there is no reason it cannot talk with the Iranians. Asked about Obamas role funding the AAAN, Khalidi claimed he had never heard of the Woods Fund until it popped up on a bunch of blogs a few months ago.
He terminated the call when petitioned further about his links with Obama. (WONDER WHY?). SOURCE: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/?pageId=65108

.............Hussein Obama is a crook and a fraud............................

John McCain has opened a modest lead over Barack Obama in the key swing state of Ohio. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the Buckeye State shows McCain attracting 46% of the vote while Obama earns 40%. Last month and the month before McCain held a insignificant one-point lead over Obama.

Seriously, if the republicans take this state again, I'm moving! We've had democratic leanings until recent elections...probably because we're losing EDUCATED people at an alarming rate.

        Ciao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: Kboogie @ 07/23/2008 10:59:30 AM

Looks like you left out a few things. Rasmussen also reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama attracting 45% of the vote while John McCain earns 42%. When "leaners" are included, it???s Obama 47% and McCain 45%. In Colorado, Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain by seven percentage points, 49% to 42%.

And don't forget............The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows now Obama leading in states with 210 Electoral College votes while McCain leads in states with 168 votes. When leaners are included, it???s Obama 273, McCain 227. Rasmussen Markets data gives Obama a 65.3% chance of winning the White House.

Isn't the Electoral College what counts? I wonder why Karl Rove and Sean Hannity don't refer to this colorful array of states, anymore............hmmmmmmmmmm.

      Happy cherry-picking, Holy!
