Comment: Has McCain vetted Christine Todd Whitman, former Governor of New Jersey, Head of the EPA, scion of wealthy politically powerhouse families of New York and New Jersey, etc? She has her own energy-promotion business and, together with her Husband's market/economy expertise, they can take care of Business. She could charm the East while He tough-guys the West. The pundits on MOJO were having trouble coming up with Republican Women as McCain VP candidates.

Comment: McCain doesn't even have the decency to show proper behavior for a measly two weeks. What great disrespect McCain showed towards Obama and the rest of the world in his childish attempt to discredit Senator Obama. That was quite embarrassing and the whole world saw how distasteful McCain is. McCain brought shame to the U.S. , it would have been better if he had just shut his mouth about Obama for the time Obama was gone. But McCain is a CRYBABY and a LIAR, sturring up hate and misleading the american people. Shame on you McCain. Shame on you McCain, Shame on you. You are Scumm. McCain maybe you don't know because you forget so much , but we will always remember your lies and your crying like a baby. You are now known as Scummy McCain Crybaby Insane.

Comment: Come on, John -- pick Phil Gramm! He's already left your campaign (or so we're told), may be about to trade (lose) his position with UBS to become a witness for the prosecution (either on direct or on cross-examination), and come this fall he could well be looking for a job and a brown paper bag to put over his head (The Unknown Econ-Comic).

Between Gramm's 'mental recession,' and McCain's campaign appearance yesterday before a rack of processed, pre-packaged, plastic, USDA government-approved cheese (you can't make up this stuff) ... this would reunite the Mad Hatter and March Hare once again to share tea. Our problems solved. Fatuously, sanctimoniously & imperiously. The only thing left wanting would be a vision of Our Fearless Leader dancing on the White House portico while the country burns.

    Oh, wait...

Comment: Between John McCain's 3R Economic Plan from the private sector and the released plan.. We can see that he has what will work for America. Green Engineering sticks to McCain but seems to hide from Democratic presidential candidate, "Senator No Show".. McCain is planning so many more green energy companies, and thousands of other new businesses, that this election is a no brainer.

    Comment: JOHN McCAIN???S 3R ECONOMIC PLAN 2008
    Abbreviated version

Progressive thinking Republican Candidate John McCain comes through for America with his 3R economic plan. In the persona of Theodore Roosevelt, McCain???s plan just makes sense.

FIRST , keep in mind that to drop the fuel tax, the local gov???ts would crash. We must use the 3R to replace taxes lost from replaced fuel through green energy (Yes, we have it ready to go!)
    www.betterconstructed.com

    1. RETHINK: America must see globally on what America is capable of in our current state of technology, engineering and meet the demands that face the world.
Private Sector framework is in place and current laws allow the 3R to happen. The Progressive attitude of John McCain to get things done by crossing party lines will resurrect America.

    2. REFORM: The American people must demand higher quality products and less restricted trade routes for Made in USA components. We will lead the way of MFG again!

The USA will reform its dead manufacturing base

    3. REINVENT: America and Americans must reinvent themselves to reach and maintain these standards and by sheer American ingenuity, control the world???s marketplace in the competitive manner, as the USA has always been proud to be #1.
NUTS AND BOLTS of the plan are simple.

Billions of savings equates to millions of lost tax revenue from energy companies. The US needs a separate tax revenue source before we can move away from fossil fuels.

    McCain 3R solution.
McCain???s 3R is about technical, closely monitored and rapid hands on training from pros to create new pros. Thousands of currently-job-displaced ???once leaders in the manufacturing arena??? will be asked to train and play instructor rolls in the 3R plan. Paid, of course, as these new leaders will help create a whole new style of prosperous America. A massive restructure providing thousands New American MFG means millions of new jobs for infrastructure alone.

We have the buildings, needs and infrastructure to do this!
New jobs is the mainstay for Creating a new guard for Social Security.

This is the new place for financial speculators to invest!

McCain???s Progressive nature embodies Theodore Roosevelt more than any US presidential candidate in history since the original Rough Rider blazed the greatest era of growth in America.
We need John McCain to lead our nation with the same type of change.

Comment: John McCain seems to be suffering a bad case of "sour grapes" and "be carefull what you wish for". He kept saying Barrack Obama should go to Iraq and is now upset because the trip is covered by the media which has long been giving him a pass. I say, about time they covered Obama.

.............Hussein Obama is a crook and a fraud............................

John McCain has opened a modest lead over Barack Obama in the key swing state of Ohio. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the Buckeye State shows McCain attracting 46% of the vote while Obama earns 40%. Last month and the month before McCain held a insignificant one-point lead over Obama.

    NOBAMA!!!

Comment: Looks like you left out a few things. Rasmussen also reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama attracting 45% of the vote while John McCain earns 42%. When "leaners" are included, it's Obama 47% and McCain 45%. In Colorado, Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain by seven percentage points, 49% to 42%.

And don't forget............The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows now Obama leading in states with 210 Electoral College votes while McCain leads in states with 168 votes. When leaners are included, it's Obama 273, McCain 227. Rasmussen Markets data gives Obama a 65.3% chance of winning the White House.

Isn't the Electoral College what counts? I wonder why Karl Rove and Sean Hannity don't refer to this colorful array of states, anymore............hmmmmmmmmmm.

      Happy cherry-picking, Holy!

Comment: A portion of this nation has clearly lost its mind. Obama does not know anything about foreign affairs. He learned a lot from people who hate, however. Wake up America. Obama is a scam artist who has NO business being where he is. Give us a black President, no problem, but NOT this man. Here is the reality: Obama had a "close, personal, 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright......who is close friends with one of America's BIGGEST racists, Louis "I hate Jews and White Devils" Farakhan. Did Obama object when his OWN CHURCH gave Farakhan a lifetime achievement award? This is the conversation at the water coolers of the nation, folks. Most Jews and Hillary fans will NOT vote for Obama and the polls are showing it.
The Obama Fever is wearing thin. Gallop now shows a 6 point lead. Remember, John Kerry had a 6 point lead over George Bush in 2004.....and he lost in November. Same with Dukakis and Bush 1 in 1988....a double digit lead in July. And he got smoked in November.
This is the SAME nation that re-elected an unpopular President Bush during an unpopular war just 3 1/2 years ago. Translation? Watch it unfold and watch the accusations of racial bias when Obama loses. So predictable.- McCain will win in November.

Comment: McCain is not the only one ''annoyed''. The most recent RASMUSSEN and ZOGBY polls show that over 70% of Americans are convinced that the MSM is ''in the can''for Obama. Quite so. The Project for Excellence in Journalism observes that of the top 300 reporters ,editors and columinists in America today, nearly all of them are Democrats.[including Alter, and nearly all of NEWSWEAKS staff].
Now,while this is of no surprise, what occurs in an Obama presidency whereupon the media that put him there, suddenly decides to take up ''man bites dog'' and hotair balloon race reporting instead of a looming political scandal,a derangement of foreign policy leading to war or even genocide, higher unemployment or an otherwise weaker economy? Will they[who include Alter], who have provided such excellent cover for Obama up till now,do their damned jobs when or if it becomes President Obama? I doubt it. Hence,we must refer to Alters whining over on his ''Umbrage''column and treat it with the contempt it deserves, for,if he is not doing his job, then others, even those ''little lords of the Internet''must do it for him[and for us as well].
Take the MSNBC HARDBALL exchange between Andrea Mitchell and Chris Matthews for instance. Mitchell raised the point that Obamas Iraq press conferances in Baghdad had been ''staged''by the military. Not desiring to allow one of their veteran reporters allegations to go too far,MSNBC deleted the entirety of the interview and did not include it on their news website.[up till 12:45 PM PST and present]. Bad enough that they invent news[i.e. The 2006 Summer War between Lebanon[HEZBOLLAH]and Israel, the Basra offensive, and al Qaeda in Iraq]. Now they are scrubbing their own news. Worse [for Alter and these other insufferable elites],it becomes these self-same ''little lords''of the Internet who expose their lies and their chicanery in addition to their laziness and their addled rockstar allegiance which is providing among the worst reportage among Americas news services in the last century. Be you Democrat or Republican, this in no way serves the people of this nation. Can anyone do anything regarding this problem? In one area, not really. The spots on an Alter will never change. However, when the subscription renewal for a NEWSWEAK shows up on your doorstep, toss it in the fireplace.

Comment: I'm not sure, but I think the MSM is "in the can" for anyone with a pulse and popular. They are in it to sell papers. John McCain may be a good man, but he is not popular and is almost irrelevant. There are four pages of articles with McCain headlining on this site, and there are no McCain supporters or bloggers anywhere near them. I think most of the GOP go to the Obama pages too. Why would the MSM want to spend time with McCain when you won't? He's boring and old. Look at how you posted. You really seem to dislike the guy with your "rock star" bitterness just because some people support him. That seems unwise to me. And if the media is doing all this, why hate the man benefiting? And why are the top 300 news people Democrats? That should tell you something about truth.

      • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 07/22/2008 6:54:50 PM

Comment: ''Truth''barely enters into it. It is not the medias job to act as a press secretary to the candidate of either party. Indeed, the only ones who will suffer due to their partisanship are not the Limbaughs or DAILY KOS' of the world,[neither of which are reporters. They act as commentators],but the MSM itself which is in freefall. Americas trust in the fourth estate is as bad as their approval of Congress, yea, even worse than their dislike of Bush. Slipshod, unfactual, lying, and lazy reporting is becoming alarmingly de rigure.Too commonplace to be an accident. Too much of a partisan vaccum to allow ''truth''to flourish.

Comment: Great Post. This has been discussed in the "biased Liberal Media" that McCain is just boring, no one laughs at his jokes except McCain. Excitement sells, this is a fact. Obama is exciting and McCain is not. MSNBC aired eariler today that McCain arrived somewhere with only one reporter and one camera man to meet him. Whose fault is this?

        • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 07/22/2008 7:49:49 PM

Comment: How many Iranian ICBMs will your ''excitement''purchase? [as these should be ready to go by the end of an Obama first year].

          • Posted By: AskPlus @ 07/23/2008 11:46:10 AM

Comment: You wanted an answer, you got one. Then you decided ICBM's will not be an issue for both candidates, only Mr. Obama, which tells me you can't stay level. Why even post if you can't remain with the topic of conversation? If you want to be a bully and change subjects there are plenty of other narrow-minded bloggers on this site. Jill, for instance will be glad to blog loud and say nothing, change subjects and be righteous. Don't blog with me, you're not logically there.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 07/22/2008 7:28:52 PM

Comment: I don't think the MSM should be forced into covering a subject that will not sell papers. You can't be a good RNC person and say this is a country based on making money, then complain that the newspapers want to make money. Obama is first-time, new rules excitement. Maybe the MSM should have covered Lawrence Welk instead of the Beatles.

I was just watching one of McCains rallies no young people, no people of color, it reminded me of an old KKK or AARP meeting ! The world is changing. We need a better, faster, smarter President. The Media is smart When Obama is on the TV screen the ratings go up, they sell more News papers and Magazines. It causes much debate, much move on what pulls us together or apart, Even lazy people are getting involved. Even you "haters" love to talk about this Young star. So McCain can stand on his head and speak in tongues he will not be able to steal his thunder....... PS....You ain't seen nothing yet, just wait until the Democratic Convention.

      Who's being the racist here?

      • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 07/23/2008 11:14:25 AM

Comment: Again with this bs. Newsflash, A. All blacks are not voting for Obama B. there are quite a few of us who, now listen carefully, ARE NOT SO STUPID AS TO VOTE FOR SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN! I am black and my first choice was actually Ron Paul, then I researched both Clinton and Obama and chose Obama for several reasons none had anything to do with his color. Both Jackson and Sharpton ran for president and NO I did not ever consider voting for them.

No just to be clear there are ignorant people in every culture and community so yes there are a certain portion of blacks who are stupid enough to vote color, these are the same people who DID vote for Sharpton and Jackson. Just as there are a bunch of really stupid women whose main reason for voting for Clinton is because she was a white woman or just a woman, either is a stupid reason for voting for someone. There are also quite a few White americans who are voting for McCain because there is no way that they would ever vote for either a woman or a person of color!

Ignorance, sexsism and racism have always run rampant throughout this country and unfortunately this election has brought a lot of it to the surface. But do not generalize an entire group of people based on the color of their skin or their gender becuase when doing so you prove yourself to be one of the ignorant masses.

Comment: Hi, I mentioned that group also in my post. Maybe ignorant was too strong a term, but anyone who uses their precious vote for the Highest Office in this country to vote for someone just because they look like them, whether they are black, white, male or female, there is a certain level of intelligence that is definitely missing.

Comment: In today???s National Review Campaign Spot, Jim Geraghty passes on an important exchange from the July 21, 2008, edition of CNN???s Anderson Cooper 360 between host Anderson Cooper and panelists David Gergen and Gloria Borger about presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who is making a whirlwind tour through Eurasia.

    David Gergen said:

I think it was the first ??? Barack Obama made the first mistake of his trip, in my judgment, in releasing a statement in which he said exactly what Maliki had said in those conversations. We have a long tradition in this country that we only have one president at a time. He???s the commander in chief and the negotiator in chief. I cannot remember a campaign which a rival seeking the presidency has been in a position negotiating a war that???s under way with another party outside the country. I think he leaves himself open to the charge tonight that he???s meddling, that this is not his role, that he can be the critic, but he???s not the negotiator. We have a president who does that. So, I think the underlying facts support him, but I think it would be a real mistake ??? and I think it was a mistake ??? to get into these conversations and let it be used politically.

When Anderson Cooper asked Gloria Borger if she agreed with Gergen, she responded:

You know, it???s very interesting, I do agree with David. And Candy [Crowley], in her earlier piece, talked about walking the fine line between being this candidate and being presumptuous. And I think that he may just have crossed that, because, you know, it is a tradition. You don???t talk about these private conversations. And it???s not up to Barack Obama right now to negotiate troop withdrawals. It???s up to Barack Obama to be on a fact-finding mission, which is indeed what he has said he was on.

    NOBAMA!!!

Comment: I think McCain's attempt to "steal Obama's thunder" is evident of the Senator Obama's success in dealing with foreign relations. McCain's camp attempted to goad Obama into going overseas in hope that Obama would make similar gaffes to that of his competitor. Instead, we have seen a shift in policy by the Bush administration and an Iraqi government asserting their independence---that is what the mission was after all, right? So now, Senator McCain's camp would rather play coy with the media in weak attempts to beg for attention rather than earn coverage by discussing real issues. McCain and camp cannot have it both ways; he can???t scream how unfair the media is in their coverage, but yet when given a platform to discuss issues and solutions (still waiting to hear him define victory, and since when is surrender turning the country over to a sovereign nation?), use that time to attack the opponent. The American people are tired of that crap on their televisions and newspapers day in and out; to think otherwise is insulting our intelligence. Even FIX News suggested that the televised town hall meeting was somewhat of a sham, because no real challenges were discussed and much of the audience was selected by the McCain camp. Instead of disingenuously blaming a candidate for gas prices, why not offer solutions, I thought McCain would be better than this, but obviously, the Straight Talk Express has taken a detour and the maverick we once knew is no more.

He is speaking about one VERY HUGE US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that will be fixing the worlds misery and in it, the common security of the United states will be forfeited as The Dictator at the top envisions world schemes... because that is what dictators do!
Your job in this grand scheme will be shut up, and pay.. and pay.. and pay!

We will end up having spent thousands of soldiers lives and a trillion dollars that, by the way, we cant afford, to make Iraq a happy democratic place.

Do you try to be non-objective or is it just a naturally occuring thing for you?

Comment: The USA article was not objective Not impartial. Rather it was like an advertisement selling something but disguised as a "news report."
I don't believe you as concerned about the lives of the soldiers as you are pretending. It's clear Obama sees their lives as expendable-- or he would not be blabbing his plans and intentions publicly for the enemy to hear. Obama will fumble and bungle and the war will be compounded.
        He will then blame Republicans.
This is a very small and entirely manipulated candidate. i wish it were not the case.

I think our money can be put to better use than bullets, tanks and mindless wars. War on poverty ... lost. War on drugs ... lost. War on terror ... jury out, but no Bin Laden. Why is always a War. Can't we change our fundamental national character from War to Peace?

You are pay, pay, paying now! Are your getting your moneys worth? I think not.

Comment: IF you were a politician and were going to expand the government excesivly, and spend a lot more money , then the best way to fool the public who might object BE to call it "rearranging priorities." and promise is will bring about peace! Stop global warming... and so on and so on...
        Yah....
        Like that!

Comment: OMG, I have been dreaming of a Mccain Jindal ticket....am I dreaming or is it really going to be true? Honestly folks....it matters not if you are a dem, a repub or an indie....you need to read and listen to this guy. Jindal is one of those once in a life time politician that is so very rare in these days and age. This guy is a genuine genius with a burning desire to be effective. The changes he has managed to make in LA and the accomplishments he has done in 37 years are rare......very very rare. I do believe we are a fortunate country to have someone like Jindal in governement. Jindal is the sort of person who will set a new standard and raise the bar on what effective leadership ought to be, should be and will be! Sorry for going on and on...but I don't get excited over a politican ever....but I must and I need to do it now. Win or loose, this country needs to know that we will be ok with someone like JIndal around in washington....and that is all I have to say.

    • Posted By: cerrojim @ 07/22/2008 12:04:37 PM

Comment: You are right about Mr. Jindal and RIGHT is the operative word. He would be the far right wing choice for McCain. (I believe that this deal/decision was made long ago.) McCain has to have the right wing, religious fringe to win. Jindal would give him that fringe. The only good news is that I believe Jindal can keep his right wing, religious agenda under control and find middle ground. I think he might even turn out to be a disappointment to the right wing fringe. He is that bright and adept. We'll see.

      • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/22/2008 1:25:43 PM

Comment: Didn't Jindal want to give the legislative body a pay raise taking away from the citizens and employees of the state of Louisiana? Sounds like he is more about letting the little guy fall through the cracks.

        • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/23/2008 4:36:47 PM

Comment: Jindal veteod the legislative pay raise, just as the electorate wanted.

I believe Jindal's biggest problem is his do-nothing attitude towarcd his own citizens as they attempt to recover from hurricane Katrina. Jindal has said that he would do nothing about the inept Louisiana Recovery Authority, put in effect under former Governor Kathleen Blanco to help citizens recover from Hurricane Katrina. The LRA has been a disgrace, and Jindal knows it, but he refuses to take a hand in fixing it.

Other than that, he has been OK.

      • Posted By: mrzoid @ 07/22/2008 12:18:27 PM

Comment: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! What about Jindal do you not seem to get?! There is one simple little trait that doesnt sync up with the far-right. Jindal is brown. Not the, don't make eye contact with him and cross onto the other side of the street brown. The, I dont want to be on the same plane with him brown. If Obama's a muslim, can you even imagine what Jindal will look like in the hick racist or evangelical mind?

Oh yeah, and i thought McCain's platform was experience, being able to step in and do the job. Way to re-enforce that platform, putting a 36-37 yr old man in line behind prospectively the oldest president to ever be elected to a first term. Good point though guy.

Comment: For me the vote in November is an easy one. I am 70 years old. You would think that makes me a sure thing for McCain. But, a vote for McCain would be based on the past and fear. A vote for Obama would be based on the future and hope. I will vote for hope.

    • Posted By: cowen123456 @ 07/22/2008 11:58:44 AM

Comment: Hope without a plan is emptied hope or aka, hopelessness. A plan is only good if its created with experience and a good dose of lessons learned. Obama has none of these nor does he come across as someone who cares for this sort of logic...thus, i've concluded that politics is a game for him. The problem is...the people of this nation are not interested in playing a game. The stakes are too high.

      • Posted By: Obamaforprez @ 07/23/2008 3:00:37 PM

Comment: stop blowing hot air and go to barackobama.com where you will find a 63 page report "Blueprint for America" that Senator Obama composed as soon as he announced his candidacy; McCain has nothing comparable to this plan

      • Posted By: cerrojim @ 07/22/2008 12:25:24 PM

Comment: I respectfully disagree with your assessment. I don't see any plan from McCain based on experience or anything else. The only thing I know for sure is it is time to change the game that has been played for the last seven years. The stakes are too high for more of the same.

    Comment:

Yes Obama is the great orator. Yes he has developed a cult following. He is the greatest con man of this last 100 years.

A great con man cult leader does not a good president make. It won't be boring when he tanks the country if we are stupid enough, foolish enough, to elect him president.

    • Posted By: cerrojim @ 07/22/2008 11:50:26 AM

Comment: Why are you so afraid? Why are you so angry? You reek of fear and anger. Fear and anger are expressions of ignorance. Do you really have anything to lose ... none of us get out of this world alive. Put down your fear, open your mind to what is possible ... do something for the future. Con man, cult following, media bias ... such fear and anger. Such mindless rhetoric. Sad, sad, sad.

      • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 07/22/2008 12:25:29 PM

Comment: I now what you mean about fear and ignorence! The Congress fears achievers under DNC control and look what happened to the approval of the DNC-controled Congress. The DNC fears fire arms owners and wages a discrimination campaign against them cunningly! look what happened to the approval of the Congress! Fear is not very constructive!
The DNC is discusted by the Military professions out of thier fear and really has nothing good to say about American Christians!
Look what happened to the DNC approval!
This is Obamas' party! Fear. Anger. Loathing. Counter productive. Ignorance! A big tire hissing it's self flat! All hollow and empty inside! All the left has is their political enemies list of Gun Owners, Achievers , Christians, Military Experts and memebers, and Law Enforcement professionals.
The banner of Americans Suck First! Where ever Americans are inspired to great things and to succeed you never see this banner around!

Comment: A cult following? What has John McCain developed in regards to a following? Thats a honest question, i am curious as to what you feel makes John McCains support group more legitimate.

      • Posted By: klpemberton @ 07/22/2008 12:38:37 PM

Comment: For starters, two large factions of Obama's support base are:
White voters who feel if they vote for a black candidate, they will be relieved of any past, present, and future feelings of guilt due to racism.
Black voters who believe Obama will champion their racial cause, or simply want to see a black man as president.
There are more, but I'm afraid I don't have all day. Keep in mind, it's a two-way street: there are qualities about McCain's supporters that I find quite disagreeable.

Comment: surely you don't believe such ignorance; one person makes a statement and you believe it; I would like to seel you a bridge in Brooklyn... hehehehehehe

        • Posted By: mrzoid @ 07/22/2008 12:47:07 PM

Comment: Black Supporters sur, but then again, the black vote has been behind the Demiocratic party since their race gained the right to vote.

But if you really think that "white guilt" has created a base for Obama you are delusional.

So how about McCain, are old people a cult following for him? Many seniors vote Republican anyways, so are they bandwagoners? Or how about the white racist, those who wont entertain the notion of voting for a black man, are they a McCain cult following?

          Get Real.

          • Posted By: klpemberton @ 07/22/2008 12:56:10 PM

Comment: Quoted from an article on cnn.com posted this morning: "Could an Obama Presidency Hurt Black Americans?"

Steve Sailer, a columnist for The American Conservative magazine, wrote last year that some whites who support Obama aren't driven primarily by a desire for change.

They want something else Obama offers them -- "White Guilt Repellent," he wrote.

"So many whites want to be able to say, 'I'm not one of them, those bad whites. ... Hey, I voted for a black guy for president,' " Sailer wrote.

Sailer cited another reason why many whites want Obama as president:

"They hope that when a black finally moves into the White House, it will prove to African-Americans, once and for all, that white animus isn't the cause of their troubles. All blacks have to do is to act like President Obama - and their problems will be over."

Also, I said those white voters are part of his base, not all of it.

Comment: Mccain is yanking you chain..and rightly so....get over it! For all the horrific bias the media has shown, I say yank their chains and knock all of them off their chairs. If this election is over media matters......I would rate the media now and day a F- and lower if possible. Opinionated and bias journalism has giving the field a bad name. I would not be surprise if this every over-inflated Kiss-A_s displayed of the media over Obama back fires and sends voters to the poll just to send a message.....NOBAMA NOMEDIA NOWAY.

    • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/22/2008 1:18:17 PM

Comment: If you really think about, McCain has been getting his just desserts since he did not take advantage when Obama was in a battle with Hillary Clinton. He should have been out there stomping the pavement, it's not Obama's fault that he couldn't effectively manage his campaign when there was no one running against him. Quit blaming everyone else for McCain's shortcomings.

  • Posted By: Belker @ 07/22/2008 11:05:34 AM

    Comment:
Great con men are never boring, and Obama is one of the greatest. He has run his medicine show and conned many into swallowing his snake oil.

Being a great con man does not make for even a half way good president.

Obama has developed his cult following, and history has shown us where cult leaders take their members. Every great autocrat has has his cult following. I don't want president for life Obama!

      Comment: I agree.

      • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/22/2008 1:15:17 PM

Comment: Is that your argument? A con man? He has solid policy but I guess you have not been listening. If you want to liken leaders taking followers places, then look to the current President as he has taken the country to the brink with high gas prices, unnecessary war in Iraq, dropped ball in Afghanistan, economic downturns over and over again. He was supposed to lead but did not. But I guess you will have a witty reply right?

Comment: I agree with Pia. Why waste your vote? It seems the more times he tries to enter politics, the more he appears worthless. Maybe is he would throw his support behind Obama, he would be offered a position somewhere say like Minister of Arctic Penguins.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/22/2008 10:56:39 AM

Comment: McCain is old, old folks tend to be more boring than younger ones. Obama is not silly. Here's what is- throwing away your vote on Nader. You know he won't win.
