John McCain is the candidate of choice for the majority of Christians in this country. I dare say he is the choice of the majority of Jews in this country as well.
Obama is after all the man who wants to use tax payers dollars to fund abortions.

Actually I doubt that McCain is the candidate of choice for most educated Jews. They do not walk lock step behind thier rabbis. They actually think before they vote. (Now there are some self-defined Zionists who belive the email garbage about Obama, but those same fools voted for Bush).
Most Jews are able to see that the false claims that Obama is bad for Israel are panic-based lies.
And Judaism does not have a problme with governmetn provided health care (whihc is what abortions are). If they know anythign about thier religion they know that the Torah is NOt anti-abortion and does agree with the garabge that abortion is murder or that a fetus is an existant life or entitled to the same rights as a living human being.
And the Christians do not vote as a block.
It is amazing that those who speak out against Dobson do not show scriptual references refuting the claims of Focus on the Family. It just shows that these people who claim to be Christians lack the knowledge of referencing what is acceptable Christian behavior versus dillusional claims of Christianity.
Those who support immoral behavior and claim it is the godly or Christian way are not folling the teachings of Christ... And how can any Christian support the demo(n)cratic party without looking at all the immoral groups that champion themselves with the DNC..... is not walking in the light of scripture but serving another god....manmon..
Not surprising that Dobson is coming out in support of McCain since Obama professes to be a Christian, but does not adhere to many of the central tenents of Christianity.
Sonny, neither does Dobson. Do you see him practicing poverty or humility --or keeping his parayer rivate? These are all straight from Jesus's teaching oarables.
What you have to understand is that "Success Protestantism" is an unequivocal perversion of Christ's teachings.
"May will come in my name...."
Maybe he doesn't, but I'm a lot more inspired to be a good Christian by a man that inspires with an optimistic message than an angry, dogmatic man who seems to think he gets to make the judgment on whether people are bound for heaven or hell. It's an odd paradox that the "good" Christian embodies little of what he preaches while the "bad" one motivates people to be more like Jesus.
What a GOOD reason not to vote for McCain!
In with Dobson and out goes Jindel. Is it a coincidence or does everyone now realize that Dobson and those like him are poison? America might have finally learned it lesson about listening to these preachers of false Christianity. When Mr Bush was touted as the do all/save all for the country with his " good Christian values " who was drinking the kool-aid then? 8 years later and we find those values included ignoring the Constitution, spying on American citizens without regard to their privacy rights, exposing covert operatives for political gain, pardoning the man convicted of the crime, and refusing answer to Congress, abandoning U.S. citizens during the worst natural disaster in this nations history, and lying to the American people and sending this nations armed forces to war. WWJD?
I really can't imaging how the "Embrassment" its will be for 4 years straight in the face of Americans contionously lives in shame IF this grumpy 72 old man be US President.,Late-night comics have made McCain???s age an almost nightly topic, with CBS???s David Letterman getting a laugh just about any time he says the words ???McCain??? and ???nap??? in the same sentence.
Last week, McCain tried to defuse the issue by pretending to doze off during an appearance on NBC???s "Late Night with Conan O???Brien."
Republicans would like to make the case that McCain is seasoned and Obama is a callow newcomer to the public stage. But that???ll be harder if he keeps up the verbal slips, which make it easier for comedians and critics to pile on.
???First Gaffe of Obama Trip ... Goes To McCain,??? blared Monday afternoon???s banner headline on the left-leaning Huffington Post, accompanied by a photo of McCain appearing to slap his forehead. That referred to an ABCNews.com posting asserting that McCain appeared to confuse Iraq and Afghanistan in a ???Good Morning America??? interview with ABC???s Diane Sawyer, who asked whether the "the situation in Afghanistan is precarious and urgent.???
McCain responded: ???I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border." The ABC posting added: ???Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border. Afghanistan and Pakistan do.???
Unfortunately for McCain, that wasn???t an isolated slip. Among the other lapses:
??? ???Somalia??? for ???Sudan???: As recounted in a reporter???s pool report from McCain???s Straight Talk Express bus on June 30, the senator said while discussing Darfur, a region of Sudan: "How can we bring pressure on the government of Somalia?"
Senior adviser Mark Salter corrected him: ???Sudan.???
??? ???Germany??? for ???Russia???: A YouTube clip from last year memorializes McCain referring to Vladimir Putin of Russia ??? following a trip to Germany ??? as ???President Putin of Germany.???
??? This spring, McCain said troops in Iraq were ???down to pre-surge levels??? when in fact there were 20,000 more troops than when the surge policy began.
??? Also this spring, McCain twice appeared to mistake Sunnis and Shiites, two branches of Islam that split violently.
??? In Phoenix earlier this month, McCain referred to Czechoslovakia, which has been divided since Jan. 1, 1993, into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He also referred to Czechoslovakia during a debate in November and a radio show in April.
??? In perhaps the most curious incident, McCain said earlier this month that as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, he had tried to confuse his captors by giving the names of Pittsburgh Steelers starting players when asked to identify his squadron mates. McCain has told the story many times over the years ??? but always correctly referred to the names he gave as members of the Green Bay Packers.
Many More IF we want o Pile a
What else would you expect from main stream media who have fallen in love with the Obama story line? They don't want to tell us the truth, because the truth won't sell advertising.
What else can one except of a hypocrite Sunday Christians, their self centered, self interests self righteousness and perverse ideology of inequality and rights only of their kind. The SOBs will trade and sell their own mothers if need be.
You mean like Obama who only attends church when it is politically expedient?
You mean like Obama, who joins a church when it is politically expedient, and then quits going when it could hurt him?
Dobson is not a "God Fearing Man"--Dobson is nothing more than an opportunist that has manipulated God to give him political influence, importance, and financial gain. Dobson backtracked on not endorsing McCain to possibly endorsing McCain because without endorsing anyone he would quickly become irrelevant. Now he is stating he will "possibly" endorse McCain--I bet he is hoping McCain will beg for the endorsement. If I was McCain I wouldn't pander and let this lunatic wither into irrevelency.!
Obama is not a God fearing man. He does not believe there is a hell. What is there to fear?
We don't need to fear our creator and of what possible use would the ficticious hell be to him anyway?
Obviously you are not a Christian.
catholic woman for obama
mcain is the biggest sinner of all he has no christian values.
obama 08.12
Obama does not believe in salvation through Christ. He believes that sinners can earn their way into heaven through good acts.
That is not what Christians believe, and earning their way into heaven is not why Christians do good works. The do good works because they love God and they want to glorify his name.
He beleives our creator knows whats in our hearts and leaves judgment to him.
Not the same thing. Believing there is a God who knows what is in our hearts makes him an agnostic.
Believing Jesus is God's son, and that he died for our sins, believing in the Trinity, and salvation through Christ's intercession is what makes Christians Christians.
Who is this Dobson? is he a real Christian? or one of these guys who has the look but don't have a bit of God in him. It means to be Christ like Bible examples... (love your neighbor, turn the other cheek, forgive 7X 70, if a thief takes your jacket give him your coat too, don't hate others cause they may be a hue darker then you, give to the poor. stuff like that.
More of a Christian than Obama. It's not just "love your neighbor" -- Christians believe there is a hell and that Christ is the only way to heaven, and that those who know about Christ and continue to deny him will go to hell.
you are as sick as the rest of the so called christians. I can see god now saying didn't i tell you all to get he log of your own eye first before you bet he twig out of the other persons eye? Try it sometime you may see better.
I am not judging him, I am questioning his claim that he is a Christian, based on his own contradictory statements.
Nice... brush away the stuff that requires you to do something difficult and hang on the stuff that gives you free reign to judge and condemn. No wonder there's so much anti-evangelical vitriol in these comments. Maybe a look in the mirror is order... finding that log in your eye probably won't take much time.
the stuff that requires you to do something difficult??? So what is it that Obama has done?
OMG! Let it go!
Was there ever any doubt, we just had to wait for John McCain to agree to their terms; you know: separate but "equal" , school vouchers to keep them away, and a promise to let big business continue defining our national interests. now that they are together they can stop that "LIBERAL" from getting in office and ruining "our" country. You're still a POW John.
You mean like Obama's recent sudden turn to support "faith based" initiatives like school vouchers?
Years ago, I lstend to Dr. Dobson and respected his comments. But the only truly "christian" candidate running was Ron Paul, and Dobson acted like this good man who, politically and relgiously, fits the bill for the Christian voter, didn't even exist. He wanted a "major" republican candidate. Well, he has got one, and rather than recommending that Christians just vote their consciences and forget about voting in a person who is despicable and has contrary notions to most Christian voters, he is not only "holding his nose" and voting for McCain, but Dobson is also spinning the information about McCain to make it appear that it is perfectly okay for evangelicals to vote for McCain. Two-faced, talking out of both sides of his mouth. I stopped listening to Dobson a few years ago, because it was obvious his support for people has a lower criterion.
While Ron Paul may be a good man, he knows next to nothing about economics, foreign relations or science. He is hopelessly naive about the world we live in, like most Libertarians. Too bad.
What Dobson means is this " Im a Opportunist Christian, when John called me on cellphone give me some Hope or some promise position later ,that when Im decided to abandon my true belief and faith Christian Conscience to goes along with him even i know that John Mccain againts larger factor visceral instinct on the part of many Christian conservatives - based on considerable evidence - that McCain is indifferent or hostile to political, moral, and religious orthodoxies.
.."
On February 5 this year, Dobson voiced what seemed to be his true feelings toward McCain.
"I'm deeply disappointed the Republican Party seems poised to select a nominee who did not support a constitutional amendment to protect the institution of marriage, who voted for embryonic stem cell research to kill nascent human beings, who opposed tax cuts that ended the marriage penalty, and who has little regard for freedom of speech, who organized the Gang of 14 to preserve filibusters, and has a legendary temper and often uses foul and obscene language," Dobson declared during an appearance on Laura Ingraham's conservative talk radio show. "Given these and many other concerns, a spoonful of sugar does not make the medicine go down. I cannot, and I will not vote for Sen. John McCain, as a matter of conscience."
I'll bet this 'dare to discipline' psychologist wants to give McCain a nice hot spanking. Hopefully it will become a reality t.v. show.
Oh, no! Dobson might endorse McCain? Run, John, run!
Dobson: blah-blah-blah. Focus on the Family: Blah-Blah-Blah. Remember when Pat Robertson endorsed Guiliani or whoever it was. He said that even thought the candidate was pro-abortion, he was also better at anti-terrorism. So what happened was Robertson weighed the life of unborn babies against against his desire to stay secure and decided that sunddenly the lilfe of the unborn didn't matter so much when compared to his lush life here in the US. They're all hypocrites.
If McCain wins it will be Because America is also more comfortable with Gramps rather than Boy Wonder. Afterall of Boy Wonder's Excitement they are still tied in the polls.
From a Hillary for Pres in 2012 fan.
Obama doesn???t believe he, or anyone else, will go to hell.
???I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can't imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. That's just not part of my religious makeup," he says. "What I believe in is that if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded. I don't presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, aligning myself to my faith and values is a good thing."
http://www.simplysharing.com/assuringlight/obama.htm
Christians don't do good works to earn a reward, they don't believe they can earn their way into heaven, they believe that sinners get to heaven only by the grace of God, through the blood of Jesus. Obama, in his own words, clearly does not agree with this.
pearsoncruz: Fascinating perspective but there are millions of Christians who dont believe in hell or the divinity of Christ. Stop mistaking your OPINION for reality.
What denomination of the Christian faith does not believe in the divinity of Christ?
Are you talking about people who just call themselves "Christians"?
christianity is totally based on the divinty of christ what type of religion are you into?
I didn't say that, Shortjames did. I disagreed with him and asked what denomination he was referring to, because I know of no such denomination.
