    Comment: College-educated Obama supporters, when asked why they back him, nearly always insist that his election--as a mixed-race, mixed-heritage president--would transform America's image abroad which I could give a rats behind about. You almost never heard that argument from blue-collar voters, especially blue-collar men, who Pew polls show are the voting bloc least concerned about America's international standing and most supportive of GOP arguments that the best way to ensure peace is through military strength, not diplomacy.

    European cheers may strengthen Obama at Starbucks, but it remains to be seen whether they will sweeten his prospects at Dunkin' Donuts.

A new hatered has come and it's not what they want, it's what they can get away with, SO, they (older white men) don't hate him because he's black, nope, they hate him becuase he's Muslim, and they'll barelyadmit to that, they'll have some other bullsh!t excuse, "Experience" Obama has experienced more in his life that qualifies him to relate to TRUE Americans than some born with a silver spoon up his a$$, my daddy is an admiral, my wife is a billionaire, wanna and self procliamed "hero". Who has NEVER had to want for anything.
      What Obama may lack in "experience" he MORE than makes up for in "INTELLIGENCE" I hear nobody arguing his intalligence, especially not 894th out of 899 McCain.
      Obama also TRULY UNDERSTANDS diplomacy, not as McCain or Bush see it...that stupid step you have to pretend to go through before you bomb bomb somebody, but that diplomacy SAVES LIVES, American and foreign. Now I know that some of you blood thirsty chicken hawks think hey as long as more of them die than do Americans, we win, tell that to the nearly 4500 families that have lost their loved one in what John McCain described as a "WAR FOR OIL".
      Obama has ALWAYS maintained that the REALwar America should be engaged in is in Afghanistan, where those who attacked us make base. That war has been ignored by Bush and McCain for years, it was only a week ago that McCain first mentioned Afghanistan, pitty. I guess Bin Laden is NOT a priority for McCain or Bush for that matter.
      Obama has dignity, he has and still sticks to his character, where as McCain SWORE he wanted a "clean" campaign, at the first sign of his impending doom, he resorts to stopping just short of calling Obama a traitor...nice and clean, and how does Obama respond..."I feel sorry for John McCain". No mud, no name calling, as that is the McCian way of campaigning as is evident by his adds, his words, his actions, brought forth from his DESPERATION.

          The point is 13% of America claim, in the face of ALL FACTS ON THE MATTER, they don't like Obama cause thay think he is a "Muslim" 42million people can not be that STUPID, and I believe are NOT that STUPID. I do however believe that is a very close to accurate number for the ammount of hard core RACISTS in this country, sounds about right. So though YOU may not like him becuase he is NOT for the McCain/Bush DRILLIN and KILLIN 08 campaign, that does NOT explain 13% of America's ignorance.

          Nobody says that all who dissagree with Obama are racists, we ALL know that 28% of you love BUSHand therefore WAR, TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH, LIES, FEAR, and a DESTROYED AMAERICA, we get that. So relax, vote however you like, but don't act like the biggest issue here is NOT race...we the people are just not that STUPID, that's you and you're 28%, 13%, how ever you want to see it.

    McCain:
    - Abandoned his disabled wife and 3 kids for a younger, richer beer heiress only to then abandon her after a stroke for her to learn to walk on her own. That's his character - always trading up.
    - Left his values behind to get into bed with the private contractors in Iraq: Haliburton, Blackwater, big oil, KBR. They will do anything to get and keep him in office. He will keep us in Iraq - and they are making a killing there.
    - Got into bed with Big Oil - because they can trust him to drill in our pristine areas - any talk of getting off oil is a lie.

    I can go on -- the question I have is: To all you Obama - bashers, why would McCain make a great president?

    The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows a bounce for Barack Obama. The presumptive Democratic nominee attracts 46% of the vote while John McCain earns 41%. When "leaners" are included, it's Obama 49% and McCain 44%.

Dukakis had a 10 point lead over Bush-1 in July 1988....and lost. This is the same nation that elected an unpoular president during an unpopular war just 3 1/2 years ago.

    Obamas relationship with Rashid Khalidi goes beyond conversation. Khalidis ties to Obama were first exposed by WND in February in a widely cited article.

    According to a professor at the University of Chicago who said he has known Obama for 12 years, the Democratic presidential hopeful befriended Khalidi when the two worked together at the University. The professor spoke on condition of anonymity. Khalidi lectured at the University of Chicago until 2003 while Obama taught law there from 1993 until his election to the Senate in 2004.

    Sources at the university told World Net Daily (WND) that Khalidi and Obama lived in nearby faculty residential zones and that the two families dined together a number of times. The sources said the Obamas even babysat the Khalidi children.

    Khalidi in 2000 held what was described as a successful Fundraiser for Obamas failed bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, a fact not denied by Khalidi, who spoke to WND in February.

    As WND reported, an ANTI-ISRAEL Arab group run by Khalidi's wife, Mona, received crucial funding from a Chicago nonprofit, the Woods Fund, for which Obama served as a board member with William Ayers (the notorious terrorist from infamous Weather Underground (VIDEO).

    In 2001, the Woods Fund, which describes itself as a group helping the disadvantaged, provided a $40,000 grant to Khalidis Arab American Action Network, or AAAN. The fund provided a second grant to the AAAN for $35,000 in 2002.

    Speakers at AAAN dinners and events routinely have taken an ANTI-ISRAEL line.
    The group co-sponsored a Palestinian art exhibit, titled, The Subject of Palestine, that featured works related to what some Palestinians call the Nakba or catastrophe of Israels founding in 1948.

    When Khalidi departed the University of Chicago in 2003, Obama delivered an in-person testimonial at a farewell ceremony reminiscing about conversations over meals prepared by Mona Khalidi.

    According to a Los Angeles Times account, Obama said his talks with the Khalidis served as consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases. It is for that reason that I am hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation ??? a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashids dinner table, but around THIS ENTIRE WORLD.

    Khalidis farewell dinner was replete with ANTI-ISRAEL speakers. One, a young Palestinian American, recited a poem in Obamas presence that accused the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticized U.S. support of Israel, the Times reported: Another speaker, who reportedly talked while Obama was present, compared ZIONIST SETTLERS ON THE WEST BANK to Osama bin Laden.
    ISRAEL A CONSTANT SORE.

    Just last week, WND noted Obama termed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a "constant sore" in an interview just five days after Khalidi wrote an opinion piece in the Nation magazine in which he called the Palestinian question a RUNNING SORE.

    In his piece, Palestine: Liberation Deferred, Khalidi suggests Israel carried out ETHNIC CLEANSING of Palestinians; writes Western powers backed Israels establishment due to guilt of the Holocaust; laments the Palestinian Authoritys stated acceptance of a Palestinian state ONLY in the WEST BANK, GAZA STRIP and EASTERN SECTIONS OF JERUSALEM; and argues ISRAEL SHOULD BE DISSOLVED and instead a bi-national, cantonal system should be set up in which Jews and Arabs reside.

    During documented speeches and public events, Khalidi has called Israel an apartheid system in creation and a destructive RACIST state. He has multiple times implied support for Palestinian TERROR, calling SUICIDE BOMBINGS A RESPONSE TO ISRAELI AGGRESSION. He dedicated his 1986 book, Under Siege, to those who gave their lives in defense of the cause of Palestine and independence of Lebanon.

    Critics assailed the book as excusing Palestinian terrorism and claim the dedication is in reference to the Palestine Liberation Organization, which at that time committed scores of anti-Western attacks and was labeled by the U.S. as a terrorist group SYMPATHY FOR THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE.

    Speaking in a joint interview with WND and WABC radio, Khalidi was asked about his 2000 fundraiser for Obama. I was just doing my duties as a Chicago resident to help my local politician, Khalidi stated.

    Khalidi said he supports OBAMA for president, because he is the only candidate who has EXPRESSED SYMPATHY FOR THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE.

    Khalidi also LAUDED OBAMA FOR SAYING HE SUPPORTS TALKS WITH IRAN. If the U.S. can talk with the Soviet Union during the Cold War, there is no reason it cannot talk with the Iranians. Asked about Obamas role funding the AAAN, Khalidi claimed he had never heard of the Woods Fund until it popped up on a bunch of blogs a few months ago.

It never fails to amaze me that when someone is truly trying to do good for our country and make it a more habitable and better place, you have the republicans and other narrow-minded invidiuals who choose to critize and attack out of fear, rather than applauding or at minimum agreeing!

    At the rate of McCain's gafee's this week (which to me are not gaffe- they represent a fundamental misunderstanding of foregin policy on his part) Let's just stop calling them slip-ups, and title them with the appropriate verbiage - McCain is not a foreign policy expert , nor does he know his geography! Just becuase he served in the war, gives him no more experience than Barack in creating policy and executing them! As you can see, Barack would have a much easier time, creating these policies for the world and getting cooperation for them as evidenced by his trip this week. Wake up People!

    Did you know that when Bush was elected - over 50% of the people thought he would make a great commander in chief especially when it came to foreign policy? I betcha those people wish they could take their vote of 4 and 8 years ago back in a heartbeat!!! Don't always believe the corporate reubplican media. After all they want McCain to win so that Obama won't tax them and give some of thier HUGH PROFITS to you and I - the average, everyday,middle class worker.

Just as McCain has done this entire week in acts of desperation to ride the news wave on Obama stories to keep himself somehow relevant when it's clear this country wants and desperatly craving a new direction - all you can do like McCain is resort to character asssassination rather than debating and talking about the true and grave issues that confront me, you, our neighbors and the cournty as a whole! I thank God you are not a journalist, becuase the entire Media Group would have numerous lawsuits with the informaition you just receited. Let talk about how your position on off-shore drilling, do you think the energy crises can be solved this way or any of the other numerous ways that are avialable to us. If you are informed about this issue - I will let you respond with another way we could all help to solve this issue.

Let talk about how your position on off-shore drilling, do you think the energy crises can be solved this way or any of the other numerous ways that are avialable to us.
