I think they should be released on the floor of congress. Or maybe let them get on a plane for JFK, I'm sure New Yorkers will welcome them with open arms.

This administration is trying to get everything in order before the elections come so that republicans get re-elected: finishing the war in Iraq, deploying troops in Afghanistan, signing relief for home owners, and more. And they are bringing new issues to the table so that the Christian right votes again and people who is manipulated by fear votes them again. The are bringing the contraception issue and this Mukasey issue.

If we give the party in power another four years in office, then we will deserve what we get. And it won't be pretty.

Mukasey is the one who would not answer the question of whether making a person think that he is drowning is torture or not, all done in the process of interrogating a suspect. Mind you, that is an Attorney General of the United States. How would you feel if you got a letter from his office asking you to come in and answer a few questions?

This administration uses fear to try to panic people into quick fixes for their mistakes. "Cut and run and they'll follow you home", has now morphed into, "follow the constitution and you will turn terrorists loose on our streets". They used the red, green and yellow warnings until people caught on that they were so full of it. All done in order for them to "protect the American people". Turning the petroleum, drug and lending industries loose on the American public is not "protecting the American people". All of this fear crap has got to go. We need sensible government back. The fake cowboys are ruining the place.
