Does anyone other than critics (paid by the studios no less) still pay any attention to the trash that comes out of Hollywood? The last movie I saw that came from Holly wood was the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and while I think Mr. Jackson did as good as he was allowed to do, I was still disappointed.

And everytime I've broken down and bought a DVD (Spiderwick Chronicles, National Treasure 2), I've ultimately been disappointed. You would think that people who are being paid millions of dollars per movie, could do better work.

I get most of my entertainment from Japan. If you are also disappointed with the trash coming from Hollywood, I urge you to buy a region free DVD player, and look into entertainment options from around the world. It's much better out there than Hollywood wants you to think.
