There is a reason why the media backs McCain, gives him to many breaks on his sealed service records, to many breaks on King Daddy of the Flip Floppers 180's on policy, to many breaks on his gaffes, to many breaks on his health records, etc, etc.... by limiting the reporting or totally not reporting on them. MSM controls the conversation by controlling the air waves they will soon (if they get their lobbyist funding to pay off) control the net. They are working hard day and night to accomplish just that. With McCain in the White House it will be much easier from them to succeed. And as they say "Stay Tuned"

Please don't try to debunk this banquet story. The person who told me this has never lied to me before. It has a chance to be about ten times as credible as the fake letter from the CPT, below.

I heard someone say the other day that Mc Cain was at a fundraising banquet and couldn't control his bowels. Tried to pass wind and slipped, you know how. The mainstream media fortunately didn't pick up on it. His handlers distracted them with a lady fainting at the other end of the table. They don't want people to know that he has reached that state of senility where bowel control gradually declines, along with a lot of other stuff. It's okay, though. There will be plenty of aides and helpers to do the thinking for him. Same as Bush. Thinker helpers in charge, as usual. Don't worry, they'll give him good advice. Keep the war and the economy going strong. Lots of jobs. Good stuff, just like Bush and Company. Especially company. Halliburton, Inc. That company.

CPT Jeffrey S. Porter's story has already been debunked and he was reprimanded by his commanders. The army reported that the story was false.

    Hello everyone,

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along
that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit
to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to
meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and di
dn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As
he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top
tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with
weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He
again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their
    service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home
that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to
make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are
providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas
Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the
President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would
want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to
be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know
what kind of caliber of person he really is.
What you see in the news is all fake.

If this is indeed true, I am almost speechless. I'm no Obama supporter but I must admit I am shocked his handlers would allow him to make a mistake like this. Where is the main stream media on this story? Now why would anyone think the main stream press is pro Obama??

      • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/29/2008 10:11:11 AM

We are relieved that even though you were almost speechless, you were able to admit your shock and give us the true questions. Thanks for blowing the whistle on the mainstream media. I saw them as I walked by the corner bar. They were all in there swilling beer and worshipping statues of all the wrong candidates. We need to get out of the mainstream and into the still eddies on the side of the stream where all the cool reflection is located. The blogs. We don't know who they are, but they give us the truth.

News is all fake. If you really want the straight skinny on all things, go to the blogs where everything is true. The blogger people are totally honest, spinless, unbiased, sweet, kind to each other, and actually kind of lovable. They shun all efforts to slant their posts. Thank you, honest and unbiased bloggers. I have quit watching TV news, quit reading the biased newspapers, all papers are biased, and quit reading the biased magazines. My only source of information is now the only honest source of honest information, The Blogs.

Jerry Lewis ''charmed Europe''and he wasen't running for anything. This condition alone is not enough to lift Obama[in his role on the ''Senate Banking Committee''],above a ''novice''slot in his presentday knowlage of this arena. Suffice to say, however, that new post-trip polls are showing Obama at a near dead heat with McCain. The ''bump''did not materialize and Obama immediately showed weakness on the economic front upon his return with his unsure handling of what to do with SS. Worse,he is going to his guru Bob Rubin, who as Clinton Treasury Sec; was the man who backed deregulation of sub-prime markets as advanced by the company that he would go on the chair, that of CITIGROUP,which was a main player in the sub-prime mess.

For a few hours liberals may get to squeek a declaration of a total Obama victory upon the close of his Rockstar tour!
Here is such a declaration in Newsweek format!
A few hours of tingle up the leg! Monday brings forth another FULL news cycle. And it's too late now for Obama to go visit wounded service members! And as yet the approval of HIS PARTY has not improved in it's running the Congress. A ball and chain around Obamas leg!
If Obama insists it's not a ball and chain around his leg it's because he's an obamanut cake and unsafe at any speed!
How can foriegn leaders trust one who don't trust or respect the Armed Forces he campaigns to lead?An Armed Force of his own countrymen!
    Der Spiegel gets it!

      A) Clift is a liberal editor. If you want a conservative point op ed read George Will in this SAME magazine.
      B) He totally rocked in his "rockstar tour" and has gotten a bump in the polls. Check Gallup.
      C) The same polls predict even larger majorities in congress come November.
      D) Getting those troops home after their tours have been extended over and over is the way to show real respect for the troops.

      • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 07/28/2008 3:52:57 PM

        B) it's a Gallup poll and the "bump' isn't that great... and is still in the moment before the FULL news Cycle... Anticipate Obama Moving on very soon, to something other than this trip!
        C) Yup...Dems are expected to pick up seats, but public approval will be ...where?
        D) Alive? Obama should be quiet about the timetable and his intentions. He is not a military leader . Ayres was only a militant. Loser then. Loser now. Some consign Rockstar status to him, too.
A word about the Weathermen. They were not committed to non-violence in any way, so long as the violence was directed at Americans.

Hay, I can go to Augusta or Peeble Beach golf courses, walk around and look and talk a good game. Does that mean I'm ready for the pro tour? I don't think so! Without his handlers and speech writers this guy has nothing to offer. He is sort of like some news achors from tv. They seem really smart when reading something someone else wrote. On their own they are shallow and have nothing useful to say.

The irony is that photo-op George H.W. Bush looked YOUNGER than McCain!

  • Posted By: tippology1 @ 07/26/2008 10:01:39 AM

Here's the funny thing, Obama I think will win the election and doesn't deserve to be president of a chess club let alone the president of the U.S. and the media, Oprah, and the rest to his following is the cause. When Barack gives a speech he makes sure his audience is packed with Obama supporters. When John McCain gives a town hall meeting its open to the public and everyone is welcome. McCain gets hammered daily and he continues to do the same thing over and over and Barack doesn???t even come close to doing this and he is days away from making history. This to me doesn???t add up and the American people need to look at themselves. Barack is arrogant, cockie, and know it all and has no class when it comes to the average people. He have worked hard convincing the people he represents change but in reality he couldn???t care less about anyone who isn???t ivy league such as himself.

What do I think, I think the American people are trend senders, people who are always following what???s new and then when it???s not new anymore they through it away like a rag only this time it???s the presidency. Barack has shown his colors over and over again and no one says anything but let McCain even take a day off to unwind with a former president and it???s like a plague. The media is so bad in our country that I really really hope someday someone anyone puts them in their place because it???s a DAM shame those who are not qualified like Obama can even be considered for such a high position like the one he is running for. Obama is bad, bad to the core and because he is black and educated, a great speaker he is in the position he is in, simple. What Barack needs to do is stop being black on Sunday, White on Monday, and corrupt the rest of the time and pick a side. I have written to Barack many times, to his entire campaign and no one responds never. But this is the person who you are voting for and it sucks. I am just glad he is not a part of my fellowship because we only have real men there no puppets for hire, (Obama).

I will bet anyone 10% of my monthly salary that no one from Obamas campaign will reply to this blog because they know I am right. I will bet anyone 50% of my yearly earnings that If John McCain wins he may even ask Obama to be a member of his staff, but Obama will never do that because its not about the people it???s about him and that is selfish.

    • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/26/2008 11:06:34 AM

Let's see now tip. "Obama gives a speech and makes sure his audience is packed with Obama supporters"? Sure. He went to Berlin and gave a speech attended by 200,000 people. Yep, Tip, These 200,000 people were just a bunch of shills that they flew over with them from America to make it look like he is popular. Same with crowds in America. I guess that they drag up a bunch of idlers everywhere he goes to crowds of tens of thousands of Americans with nothing else to do but stand in a crowd and look faithful to Obama's candidacy.
Or, the alternative might be that the whole world, not just America, but the whole world, caught on that we have been led for eight years by a bunch of war criminals who nearly drug the whole world into a cesspool and they are damned tired of it, looking for someone to come forward and lead us away from this dangerous and destructive path. Obama's got it, and he gets it and Mc Cain doesn't have it and he doesn't get it. Gramm was wrong about who the whiners are in this country. The whiners in this country are all of the narrow minded zealots who are about to be dispossessed of the worst government in our history, party and all, by an intelligent, capable, and articulate man who is soon to be president. You can whine to the skies, but your candidate is going to be smothered by an angry public on the verge of revenge against bad government. I respectfully disagree that Obama doesn't "deserve" to be president of anything. Clint Eastwood's line from his movie, "The Unforgiven" is the best response to the question, "Deserve's got nothing to do with it".

      • Posted By: tippology1 @ 07/27/2008 11:38:17 AM

I respect your narrow minded decision to support Obama but what are you really supporting, his promise to change or our pity revenge on what you feel. This election is going to be far more then you and I and you need to get a grip on that because its coming. Obama will be and is always someone's puppet because he has no heart. He has not proven deep down that he is a person of character sorta like yourself for bad mouthing an entire administration. If you are a lawyer then you are use to giving speeches to woe crowds and mis-lead people like you no matter where there are and who they are. Obama is a fraud, a suite just like all the rest and millions of stupid people like yourself will vote for an arrogant, self minded, shell of a man, and I hope he turns out to be exactly like yourself, clueless. So I respectfully disagree with you and for those who are angry with the government like your said, talk is cheap, voting is the easy way out of things, but role up your sleeves and get off your ASS and do something. One more other thing, when you have got backers like Obama has it's easy to talk, but without his billionaire friends, playing the race card, and copying everything Bill Clinton did to win, he is nothing.

        • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/27/2008 5:40:44 PM

Well, tip, you've just overwhelmed me there. You've called me stupid and got me in the position of misleading people, referred to me as exactly like an arrogant, self minded shell of a man who is clueless, and then said that you "respectfully disagree". If this is respectful disagreement, then I am grateful for your kindness in not being disrespectful. I don't know if my constitution would be able to withstand it in light of the quality of your respect.

          • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/27/2008 5:42:39 PM

And oh, tip, where did you get the "lawyer" accusation?

            • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/27/2008 5:45:13 PM

I would like to compliment you, though, tip, as having an uncanny talent as a "Bush" class diplomat. You should have been in the state department these past eight years. Fit right in.

Riding the golf cart with Bush Sr is as bad a photo-op as Dukakis' tank ride. What was McCain thinking?

    • Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/27/2008 5:28:57 PM

Less and less, as relentless time takes its toll. Don't count on anything big there, but others drool in the background to do it for him as soon as the kid leaves office.

  • Posted By: stormbrew2 @ 07/26/2008 8:46:21 PM

McCain is starting to become a parody of himself. He is turning into Cotton Hill, (King of the Hill fans know this one), he is coming off angry and disgruntled and all he is doing is picking fights. Other than the SURGE, which McCain has mispoken on time after time, what has he really spoken of that he IS FOR. Riding in a golf cart with The Bush clan is about as far off track as his campaign could get. Who is running that crazy mess. Worst photo ops ever, McCain has had a horrible week both substantively and figuratively, self defeating imagery. Look, this man said he would not stoop to negative campaigning and he is doing NOTHING but negative campaigning, His press friends can only hold off the hounds for so long, and he is imploding in a very public way.

For notroubleatall1963 ~~ I could not agree with you more, on the grumps driving around Kennebunkport, in the golf cart! McCain has been encouraged to distance himself from the Bush's, so why is he in Maine?
Maybe because Senior is more palatable than the disaster currently in the White House. If McCain gets in,
I think it is time for me to stop all TV, papers & magazines. It will be hard to even imagine the newscasts of 2009. God help us all!

Here is a great article from Germany....it show's not every German drinks Kool-Aide.............

Once again it's Der Spiegel that manages to put Obama's Berlin speech in perspective..............

The [estimated] 200,000 onlookers who thronged to listen to Obama's speech should not deceive us. Listening is not the same as agreeing. Obama divides people, and not along traditional party lines.
It is, anyway, a great mistake to divide the voters in Western nations into left and right, aggressive and peace-loving, market orientated and critical of capitalism. In reality there are just two types of voters: the romantic democrats and the common-sense democrats.

So far, Obama has been the candidate for the romantics. His skill lies in enchanting his supporters with words. Whatever is held against him, his supporters turn into his favor. The man is an unknown quantity, no mud sticks to him! The man is measured, no, he is visionary! He wants to save the entire world, but it does desperately need to be saved, doesn't it?

It would have been interesting to find out how the reconciliation between Muslims and Christians will come about, when shortly before his departure he threatened the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with a military strike against its border region with Afghanistan. Pakistanis value their sovereignty as much as Americans.
Is it not foolhardy to set a timeframe for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq at 16 months, when American generals fear another civil war? In Vietnam, they point out, the killing did not end after the US withdrew its troops.

And then there is the breathtaking list of domestic policy promises: affordable health insurance for the 47 million currently unregistered Americans, tax exemptions for all retirees on pensions under $50,000, higher minimum wages, multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects and finally tax credits for most Americans to boost the economy. How can that be paid for, if, as Obama has categorically ruled out, he isn't going to raise taxes on the middle class? Or is he planning for the US to go even more into debt (something he has equally vehemently ruled out)?

Of course, Obama may have no option now than to continue to offer the sky. At first many election strategists thought voters wouldn't believe politicians, promises anymore after their experience with Bush. Surprisingly, the opposite seems to be the case: Right now they'll believe everything.
