And McBush gives us nightmares, this country will be in turmoil if McBush gets a third term of the same failed policies and approach to domestic and international politics. Yeah McBush lets see if we can get every country hating us and wanting to destroy us. If anyone can do it , it is you and the McBushites.

Obama is THE biggest scam of a politician ever pushed onto the American scene by the media. White guilt is real....espcicially among Democrats. They will vote for him.

Republicans, Independents and a good portion of your Hillary fans will vote for McCain. Old Johnny McCain will have American liberals and Europeans crying again. This is so friggin fun, once again.....

    • Posted By: THE RAVEN @ 08/03/2008 2:47:25 PM

What the F*CK is "white guilt"--mart in?

Yes, how impressive. Big European crowds, whether already there for a rock concert or not in Berlin.

Those are the descendants of the same German masses who elected Adolf Hitler Chancellor of the Fatherland. My, how politically astute they are to admire a speech!

    Sieg Heil!

    • Posted By: THE RAVEN @ 08/03/2008 2:39:49 PM

      You comparing Obama to Hitler?

  • Posted By: pnorsk @ 08/01/2008 3:40:57 PM

Obama may be preferred in Europe, but he is too liberal for United States. Is it not noteworthy that all of the same people, who appeased the communist dictatorships during the cold war, are supporters of Obama?

  • Posted By: johnsbaby62 @ 07/29/2008 12:54:38 AM

In my las post, my mind got a little ahead of my hands so here is what i meant to say.

I don't understand Obama's whole political stance, but personally I don't understand why anyone would want a person who does not support what we are doing, and does not say the pledge of allegiance and turns his back when it is being said, to be president. Why would anyone want someone who may in fact one day make this country steep to its lowest point in history. Why would we want someone who will destroy this country to be the president of the united states of america? I don't understand why anyone would want that......

WHEN THE PRESIDENT IS DOING NOTHING FOR THE CITIZENS; IGNORING, ALL OFTHE NATIONS PROBLEMS ------------- "STAND BY YOUR MAN " ?

WHEN THE LEADER JUMPS OFF A CLIFF; JUST FOLLOW HIM ?

WHEN THINGS ARE REALLY F--KED UP; JUST BE A PATRIOTIC CITIZEN AND IGNORE WHAT IS HAPPENING ?

SORRY ! I GOT TO STAND UP AND VOICE MY OPINION, ITS MY NATURE.

OBAMA IS THE BETTER CHOICE THEN OLD MAN MC CAIN.

  • Posted By: onepoker @ 07/29/2008 6:50:39 PM

Sturn will be welcome here in America. I hope he stays long enough to learn what he can do with unlimited opportunity. Of course I come at this from the republican side of things and I do not support Obama but I am glad that he is inspiring people with his candidacy.

It would of been nice if he stopped by and said Hi to the troops while he was in Germany. Also I heard from some people in Afganistan he completely ignored the line of enlisted men waiting to greet him and headed straight indoors to speak with the generals. In his defense he may have been under the impression it was dangerous outdoors but the soldiers were very disappointed. And people present for his supposed basketball game said it lasted for the camera and went away with in seconds of the camera light shutting off.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 07/30/2008 12:58:57 PM

I like what you wrote about not supporting Obama but appreciating that he is inspiring people. That's great, and should have been something like McCain's line when Obama returned. It's a pity he decided to focus on this flap over Obama not seeing the wounded soldiers in Germany - I think it just looks like sour grapes and stretching the truth.

Obama was set up by the Bush Administration (Pentagon) to look stupid on the last leg of his German trip - after he gave another great speech to 200,000+ people, 20,000 of whom were Americans, it must have been difficult to top that success!

Thank you for being so honest...

      • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 07/31/2008 10:09:15 PM

So let me understand this; Obama decides to diss the troops and go play basketball (btw, all reports say he stopped playing the moment the cameras stopped rolling), and somehow its GWB's fault!?

LOL, you leftist nutcases get funnier all the time.

  • Posted By: tired and old @ 07/31/2008 9:27:58 AM

AS A FRENCHY AND AN OBAMA SUPPORTER I WOULD FEEL BETTER IF FRANCE FAVORED JOHN MC CAIN.

CAN'T HAVE MUCH RESPECT FOR A COUNTRY THAT SEES COMIC JERRY LEWIS AS A GENIUS OF COMEDY.

  • Posted By: Eric Urbain @ 07/28/2008 8:07:40 PM

Tracy McNicoll's article about Obama in France is persuasive and good on many fronts but entirely wrong on one: race in France. France has always been one of the top immigrant destinations and racial dynamics are very different compared to the United States. To compare blacks in the US to those in France is like comparing apples to oranges. Blacks in France were never slaves and came to France on their own free will, mostly for employment opportunities or asylum from corrupt regimes like the one in Zimbabwe. The American media really needs to be careful how it presents things because these kinds of articles can be very misleading...this article suggest that the blacks in France are suffering and have unequal rights...the real issue is that France's economy on the whole is bureaucratic (for everyone including whites) so its hard for people to advance and move around since work and life are heavily controlled by the government (including unions to which many blacks subscribe). Sadly, this is the legacy of utopian-minded socialists...the same ones who invited scores of Africans to come live in France with free education, health care, etc...really, blacks in France have it good, perhaps better than in America (plenty of free benefits and a race blind government). This article in fact contradicts its message because in the end it states that this man Sturn 'runs his own production company' ...so this guy runs his own company and the blacks are really suffering? Being half French and half American myself, having lived in both countries, and being of mixed race myself, I would conclude that the blacks in France are severly misguided..but what's more troubling is what does Tracy have in mind when writing about blacks in France? why not write about all the positive things sarkozy and obama talked about? interesting indeed Tracy...what are you suggesting to our impressionable minds?

    • Posted By: tiredofobama @ 07/30/2008 11:35:56 PM

Eric. Regardless of who you support, I thought that you made many excellent points.

  • Posted By: MartinCarmel @ 07/29/2008 12:35:08 AM

Europeans do not vote here. Thankfully. They also do not understand America and maybe never will.

America is finally starting to ask the good questions. And people are figuring out that Obama is the biggest used car salesman (with a nice smile and good delivery) the media has EVER tried to shove down America's throat.

The media "lovefest" to Europe was classic and most Americans rolled their eyes while the Germans and French were kissing Obama's feet.

McCain is the better man by a long shot and he is SO much more qualified. He was clearly that on Larry King Live tonight....

But....here is another fact some Americans have forgotten and the media has ignored for two months:
McCain never had a close "20 year relationsip" with a bunch of racist friends like Obama has, no matter what liberals will try to claim just because McCain is on the GOP ticket.

There are some big time Black American bigots and they are Obama's friends. The "good reverand" Jeremiah Wright is a bigot, no different from Archie Bunker or David Duke. This is what Americans are really talking about at the water cooler folks. Believe it. And Wright's close friend is Louis Farrakhan, THE biggist racist in America. Birds of a Feather.... Hello????

Most Jews and many Hillary fans will not vote for Obama. The media's love fest will eventually kill Obama's campaign. (And the TV spots about his racist friend, Rev. Wright, are not even on yet) And....the debates are going to be fun to watch. McCain will win it right there. Watch closely.

America was indeed fooled by the CIA "intelligence" on Iraq, yes.....and now some Americans are falling for Obama.

But....remember, this is ALSO the same nation that re-elected an unpopular George W. Bush in 2004....during....an unpopular war.
Translation? - McCain will win in November.

    • Posted By: catspaw @ 07/29/2008 5:20:30 PM

That's funny, practically everybody who is white has european roots, so to say Europeans do not vote here is an auxie moron.

      • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 07/29/2008 7:16:22 PM

Having European roots has nothing whatsoever to do with the ability to vote here. Therefore your post makes you just a regular moron, rather than a 'auxie' moron.

        • Posted By: tiredofobama @ 07/30/2008 11:31:32 PM

          Jimbo. Very well said.

  • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 07/30/2008 12:52:35 PM

With all the riots in the suburbs of Paris a couple of years ago, I bet Obama seems like real hope and change to the immigrants and working classes in France - at least the minorities. The Americans who support McCain are obviously quite jealous of Obama's potential for success in diplomatic Foreign Affairs.

I have to laugh when I hear the media lauding John McCain's "strength in Foreign Affairs" - all he knows is war, and his diplomatic skills seem totally underwhelming given his lackluster campaigning in the US. I can't imagine a more boring president, except possibly Dole. I think McCain could be even worse, though.

Obama for President - Is there any other choice?!

    • Posted By: tiredofobama @ 07/30/2008 11:20:47 PM

Absolutely there is another choice. John McCain is an infinitely better choice than Mr. Empty Speech Obama. What are Obama's qualifications? Three years in the U.S. Senate and most of that time he has either been running for President, hawking his books: The Audacity of Hopelessness, etc., and not holding committee meetings on Afghanistan. Before that he was a "community leader?" Really qualified to lead this country. Yet so many of his followers act like they are watching a romantic epic and cannot understand why the rest of us not mesmorized. As far as Europeans opinions, who cares? I didn't know that we were like junior high kids trying to win a popularity contest. J. Fred Muggs would be a better choice than Obama.

    • Posted By: johnsbaby62 @ 07/30/2008 6:51:33 PM

um yea his name is McCain. You would u want someone who's not for what we are doing. who doesn't say the Pledge. And who turns his back when all of it is being said.

  • Posted By: Richard1327 @ 07/29/2008 2:03:10 PM

Par le vous...McCain in front of a cheese aisle beats "both ways Barack" in front of 200,000 Germans any day of the week.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 07/30/2008 12:44:47 PM

Yeah, cheesy and corny wins out every time - bet on it!

  • Posted By: Jack999 @ 07/29/2008 1:35:32 PM

Many of us who live in the USA feel much the same about the fate of those been perished,we know nothing have been done to salvage their pride and dinity. It has been over six years since that small band of terrorists attacked the World Trade Centers, and our country has never been the same since.

Our land of freedom and good will has become a land of suspicion and fear. It seems like the terrorists won. They planted the seed of fear in the hearts of our people. Our people allowed that seed to blossom into paranoia, then chose weak leaders willing to sacrifice our sacred freedoms in the name of security.

Immediately after the 911 attack, people began to attach US flags on their cars. They pasted small signs on their window and auto bumpers with sayings like, "united we stand", "we shall never forget" and "God bless America".By the way all these stickers are made in China. We call this "bumper sticker patriotism". These same people cowered at home, afraid to fly in any airplane, terrified of another attack.

They became suspicious of all strangers including creating many bad experience obstacles that violates their decency at our airports. We scares the foreigner Businessman and Tourists to come our freedom land insists like they looks like a bunch of criminal .Our economy becoming worst day by day since.

The foreigners and the World have the bad impressions that America seems under Military Rules.Who should we blame but we ourselves,we all keeps talking miltary, military and military 24 hrs a day .We have nothing to say but bomb, bomb, bomb even at our Presidential Election.

We allowed ourselves becoming far apart with Rest of the world.

Opportunistic politicians promised to restore our security by enacting precautionary laws and regulations.

Slowly, they robbed us of our essential freedoms with FISA etc, all in the name of protection.

Anyone who spoke against them was labeled a coward, a traitor or a fool.
I do not despair. Democracy has a resiliency that allows it to heal itself given enough time. The people of the USA are already beginning to awaken. They realize that our leaders have eroded our basic freedoms in the name of security, and they do not like it.Our last election was a beacon of hope but yet we be decived.

Many of the conservative exploiters of fear that we intends removed from office.

Slowly, our politicians are beginning scares about our awakening to restore our cherished freedoms.

We are not a people who believe in aggression, in torture or in the violation of human rights. The foundation of our government is based on "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

We were once the beacon of hope for oppressed people in other lands and we want to gain that title back. Most of us can see that we erred in allowing our freedom to be sacrificed so cheaply.

I think we will fight to restore it.Our courage is slowly returning.

This is a good example of propaganda or misinformation.A recent Barrach Hussein Obama blunder was his decision.not to visit the American wounded in Germany. The truth is the only guideline he was given was the trip to see our wounded would not be political in nature. So Barrach seized on this opportunity to thumb his nose at our black and white wounded warriors to make it seem like he was the aggrieved party. His sensibilities seem to have been wounded.

        Hi,

Just wanted to remind you that it is not JUST republicans spreading smears, please include some of the Clinton supporters who are still trying to force the DNC & the Superdelegates to take the nomination away from Obama and give it to Clinton.

By the way Obama actually has quite a few republican supporters.
