Well, I guess if Obama supporters like to continually discredit a war hero, should be no problem sharing with people on this board the pattern of unsavory people have known to get to where he is now. Lets start with . . .

REVEREND WRIGHT (Friend, adopted Uncle, Pastor, Spiritual Mentor for over 20 years):
Obama waited 4 to 6 weeks before he put the Rev. Wright controversy to bed (and everyone knows it took three of those angry and hateful sermons by Rev. Wright after being exposed to the public before Obama gradually denounced Wrights words, then disowned himself of Rev. Wright, and finally disassociated himself altogether from his church, a church he was so closely associated with for 20+ years under the ministry of
    Reverend Wright.

Obamas former church website if anyone wants to check it out. www.tucc.org

Foundation of the Trinity United Church of Christ is its belief in Black Liberation Theology http://atheism.about.com/od/theology/a/lib_black.htm

Reverend Wright, Obamas Spiritual Mentor, also presented his
Church???s TRUMPETER AWARD to a MAN it said TRULY EPITOMIZED GREATNESS, Louis Farrakhan

That is it. This site has become too offensive. This is my last post. I will check back after the conventions and see if people have toned it down.

We've all had enough of "rampant negativity, xenophobia, fear mongering, war mongering, and intellectual bankruptcy" and this year, Obama will prevail in the election.

He's been playing to the powers-that-be in the electoral college - that was the purpose of his foreign trip - not to the general public as much. That's why he didn't care that he didn't get a huge boost in the polls immediately after his return to the US. It may take voters a while to decide what they think about that trip. But the electoral votes are what really matter. Obama is auditioning for President and doing an excellent job, and ...

Intelligence will win in the end: OBAMA '08!!

We're not voting for the cheese factor this year; not after 8 years of cowboy-sponge-bob-square-pants.

Maybe, just maybe, Americans are tired of rampant negativity, xenophobia, fearmongering, warmongering, and intellectualy bankruptcy. McCain, and the GOP represent all of these. Visionless, bloodthirsty , out-of-touch, and lacking all empathy for the working class is the very definition of a McCain candidacy. These Republicans expouse Reagan, but Reagan's schitck was to instill positivity about America.
McBush does not waste time on being positive, his only campaign strategy is negativity and fear, ala the real Bush. While the GOP focuses on what slice of the American populus that it is ok to demonize this time around, Obama focuses on guiding America into the 21st century, McBush focuses on bringing us back to mid-20th century politics and re-opening old divisions. The most disastorous, belllicose and incompetent administration in the last 100 years of American politics hopefully will not be follwed by McCain, a bad candidate, who would make even a worse President.

I am holding every journalist/commentator accountable to the American people to provide the truth and nothing but the truth.... IT IS YOUR JOB !!

The dishonest reporting by mainstream media has become laughable at best.... unpatriotic at it's worse as their highest priority is to provide the American public with unbiased, objective reporting... factual information on both candidates so the American people can make personal, intelligent decisions based on which candidate they think is best looking out for their well-being.

For a commentator like Dana Millbanks to deliberately leave out the first part of Obama's statement in his column yesterday to push the GOP's untruthful message, is devious and underhanded. They are playing with the future of this country and ought to be held accountable by the American people. Thank God for the blogs where we can call out the lies when they surface. In my mind, the GOP has yet to realize that the American perception of negative attack strategies has evolved to a greater level of maturity and at the end, there will be heroes and villains of the journalistic world. Each of you need to determine moralistically where you stand, because we, the people are watching.

He may be looking up but his electoral vote is sliding downward. The latest Electoral Vote showa Obama with 322 + 27 = 349 McCain with 217 - 27 = 190. Ouch!

The latest polls show Florida's 27 electoral votes swinging to Barack Obama.

Why isn't McCain winning? I mean you mouth-breathing G OLD Party of hate have been doing your thing. Maybe you should heavy up on the Hussiens, the Barrys, the NOBAMA and the Obama/Usama stuff.

So John McCain wants to be a celebrity with his adoration of Brittany Speers. John McCain needs to take a break and go to Hollywood for that stuff. This type of stuff doesn't go in the White House. If he wants the camera and lights and action go visit Chuck Norris or Jesse Ventura. We don't have time to play. I have to pay for gas, food, utilities and insurance and mortgage. McCain don't see my level. He desn't understand little me. Give me Obama who has been through the stuff I've been through and can relate to my plight.

Steady as she goes boys. Old Ironsides might get us there yet.

Just some suggestions for the next three months.

    1. Continued to avoid any mention of race.

    2. Any continued attempt to question his religion, and to link him to Reverend Wright, Father Pflagel, Farrakhan, and to terrorists will be a distraction unproductive

    3. Talk about his inexperience will likewise produce little yield.

    4. Do NOT, do NOT attack Mrs. Obama. This is likely to produce a backlash.

    5. Do continue to point out his grandiosity, pomposity, and cockiness. Link him to demagogues in the mind of the American people.

    6. Help Americans see the other side of the coin which his rage and sense of victimization. He cannot but go negative in late September and we should prepare to Americans see into his soul.

    7. McCain needs to stay cool.. Cannot loose his temper. Obama can through mechanisms of projective identification trigger a lot of rage in others. McCain has to stay in CONTROL. Specially during the debates.

    8. Do not turn the election into a moral crusade. Avoid the topic of gay marriages.

    9. Do not portray Obama as unfamiliar or a stranger. Americans should come to feel that they know him all too well and that he does not know them. Use segments from his recording of his autobiography. Use his "bitter" statement. But hold your fire until October. Incidentally, do not rely too much on McCains Vietnam service. Vietnam is ancient history to most Americans. They know as much about it as the Punic Wars.

    10. Get voters to view their votes not so much as a rejection of Obama but rather an affirmation of their selves.

    • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/30/2008 4:43:06 PM

      11. Say nothing, You could even lose the Mouth-breather Vote. If jose leaves all is lost.

      12. Do not mention, tom Foley, Denny Hassert, Larry Craig and especially Ted Stevens.

      • Posted By: RO in Reno @ 07/31/2008 12:58:00 AM

13 do not mention McCains pointention of appointing ultraconservative judges to the Supreme Court.

14 do not mention McCains intedntion to continue the Bush economic policies.

15 Do not mention McCains policy on health care it sucks as well.

16 Do mention Obama's 12 years as a constitutional law professor it will make him more elitist even though he is someone who knows and believes in the Constitution.

      • Posted By: josemarti @ 07/30/2008 5:25:30 PM

That you have founds us is our good fortune. Enlighten us. Use your superior Columbia University education to guide us into the Promised Land. We are ready to respond to your call. That out of all the generations of Americans it should fall on us to live in such a blessed time. Barack means blessed, does it not? America is finally starting to ask the good questions. And people are figuring out that Obama is the biggest used car salesman (with a nice smile and good delivery) the media has EVER tried to shove down America's throat.

McCain is the better man by a long shot and he is SO much more qualified. He was clearly that on Larry King Live tonight....

But....here is another fact some Americans have forgotten and the media has ignored for two months:
McCain never had a close "20 year relationsip" with a bunch of racist friends like Obama has, no matter what liberals will try to claim just because McCain is on the GOP ticket.

There are some big time Black American bigots and the are Obama's friends. The "good reverand" Jeremiah Wright is a bigot, no different from Archie Bunker or David Duke. This is what Americans are really talking about at the water cooler folks. Believe it. And Wright's close friend is Louis Farrakhan, THE biggist racist in America. Birds of a Feather.... Hello????

Most Jews and many Hillary fans will not vote for Obama. The media's love fest will eventually kill Obama's campaign. (And the TV spots about his racist friend, Rev. Wright, are not even on yet) And....the debates are going to be fun to watch. McCain will win it right there. Watch closely.

America was indeed fooled by the CIA "intelligence" on Iraq, yes.....and now some Americans are falling for Obama.

But....remember, this is ALSO the same nation that re-elected an unpopular George W. Bush in 2004....during....an unpopular war.
Translation? - McCain will win in November.

    • Posted By: rose0400 @ 07/29/2008 1:19:32 AM

If anyone sounds racist, it's you. I mean comeon, can we move on to more current topics now? How about the economy? That's one where McCain has the same amount of experience that Obama is being chided for regarding foreign policy. Maybe you sound so bitter because the plain old fact of the matter is Obama has what it takes to be a true world leader and he has proven it with this tour of Europe and meeting the various heads of state. He is the candidate for change and going forward with this tour he has set the tone that America is aware that part of the presidency is based on being a diplomat. America needs to work together with our European Allies to help fight global warming and terrorist organizations; but that's kinda hard when your allies dislike you, such as in the case of Bush or McCain. Duh?!!

      • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/29/2008 4:34:37 PM

Obama had an opportunity to make a difference when it comes to foreign policy but didnt rise to the occasion. Read on . . . .

Obama is the CHAIRMAN of the European Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

A spokesman said that Mr. Obama had held ONE European subcommittee hearing (which would be, now) within the past year and a half and it was just to nominate two US ambassadors in between being busy with his presidential campaign.

Steve Clemons, the Director of Foreign Policy at the New American Foundation in Washington, said that such hearings were not the same as convening FULL meetings on pressing policy issues such as the future of NATO. Someone who is seeking the presidency should have some facility for the most important anchor in global affairs, which is the transatlantic relationship, he said. The major threats in the 21st century are changing but what is not changing is the vital necessity of Europe and the US collaborating in meeting those challenges with Europe, for instance, in the lead on dealing with Iran. This is a very disconcerting void in Obamas profile.

        Read on. . .

Stay-at-home Barack Obama comes Under Fire for a Lack of Foreign Experience

Fresh doubts over Barack Obama???s foreign policy credentials were expressed on both sides of the Atlantic last night, after it emerged that he had made only one brief official visit to London ??? and none elsewhere in Western Europe or Latin America.

Share news, you are the prime example of people only hearing what they want to hear. First of all, he chairs the foreign relations subcommittee. It's a subcommittee. Meaning there is the foreign relations COMMITTEE which is chaired by Sen. Joe Biden. And then there is the SUBCOMMITTEE. Joe can refer issues to the subcommittee, but has not. Therefore Barack Obama has not held a subcommittee hearing on Afghanistan. But what does that mean to you anyway? Had he held a hearing, would you have listened? What should his hearing have been about? Joe Biden has called 3 full committee hearings on the foreign relations committee which Barack sat in on one of them I believe. You don't even know how the Congress works, further proof that you are only regurgitating the talking points that you want to hear and believe.

Facts will always remain and America is finally starting to ask questions about this con-man.
Obama is the biggest used car salesman (with a nice smile and good delivery) the media has EVER tried to shove down America's throat.

McCain is the better man by a long shot and he is SO much more qualified than the used car salesman liberals are trying to scam American with. Listen to the idiots who try to portray Obama as some sort of American hero. Absolutely laughable hen you compare him to McCain.

McCain decided to serve his country (yes, in politics) after he was tortured for his country in a North Vietnamese prison. 99.99999% of people in the US have never been though his situation. And those who downplay that will pay for it. Obama's life compared to McCain's was a pampered life, praised by black bigots. "Huh?..Whaa?.... How could there be black bigots....and how could Mr. Obama like bigots?"

You see, here is another fact some Americans have forgotten.....McCain never had a close "20 year relationsip" with a bunch of racist friends like Obama has, no matter what liberals will try to claim just because McCain is on the GOP ticket. The "good reverand" Jeremiah Wright is a bigot, no different from Archie Bunker or David Duke. This is what American's are really talking about at the water cooler folks. Believe it. And Wright's close friend is Louis Farrakhan, THE biggist racist in America. And OBAMA'S church gave Farrakhan a Lifetime Achievement Award. Birds of a Feather, folks.... Listen carefully.

Hello? Look, most Jews and many Hillary fans will not vote for Obama. That's very simple. And the media's love fest will eventually kill Obama's campaign. (and gee....the TV spots about his racist friend, Rev. Wright, are not even on yet) The debates are also going to be fun to watch. McCain will win it right there. Watch.

America was indeed fooled by the CIA on Iraq.....and now some Americans are falling for the used car salesman supported by far-lefters. Hey...uh...where's Hillary and Bill? MIA, folks. You see them lately?

Remember, this is the same nation that re-elected an unpopular George W. Bush in 2004....during....an unpopular war. - McCain will win in November.

martincarmel, You've just repeated ole rushbos monologue right down to the "Jews wont vote for Obama" remark.

Don't you have any thoughts of your own? Has your head been up limbaugh's butt so long that your brain has fossilized?

You and old lard butt want to convince someone that Jews will vote for McCain?

Do you seriously think a Jew would vote for the G OLD P of HATE? That a jew would vote for a party that covets it's relationship with Hagee, Fallwell, Skinheads, neo Nazis and the readers of the Turner Diaries?. Without those constituants, the Grand OLD Party would have faded into the sunset long ago.

Jews will vote with those who would like to see them dead? is that what you're trying to sell here/

      Sorry, NO SALE!

No sale. People like this one are hopelessly lost. I know there will be "radio" silence for people like her after the 1st debate. LOL, used car salesman? Is that the best you got? Rev. Wright? I guess all your hick friends are just "prejudiced", they're not "racists"? Please, you sound as ignorant as the idiot that's using you to boost his ratings and line his pockets. He doesn't give a dag who gets elected. My guess is your idol limballs is probably hoping and praying that Obama gets elected so that people like you will keep tuning in to spew your hate. Meanwhile, Obama will help you out of your own situation by making gov't more accessible to the majority...you know people like you in that earning less than $250K/yr category. He'll help you or your kids afford an education by giving something back to your gov't that you claim to love so much. You can work in a soup kitchen, or at a homeless shelter, or for the peace corp and see the great big world outside of America, and the gov't will pay for your college tuition in return. How about that? You'll actually have a means to pull yourself up by your bootstrap. Novel idea huh? You are pitiful. And fyi, you'll only persuade people as equally oblivious to the facts as you are to agree with you. My experience on this blog is that there are quite a few intelligent posters that live in the world of actual news, not "fixed noise"

McCain has had since February to hone his campaign skills. McCain has had since February to form his committees and since then has been throwing people under the bus. McCain has had since February to develop his platform which he has not. He

doesn't want to be president. If he really wanted to be president he would have made a better name for himself while he had the opportunity to do so while Obama was battling Hillary (you all remember the one that was supposed to win). McCain would have righted the wrongs on his VA stances, he would have had a chance to address voting for a war that was wrong and will go down in history in infamy.

McCain doesn't want to be president. He just wants the title. He wants the perks that come along with it. He just wants power.

He doesn't want to be president. If he wanted to be president, he would be giving speeches on the socioeconomic issues the country and world faces which is what the leader of the free world is supposed to do; not stand in front of a crowd of people that already has money looking for a photo op.

If he wanted to be president he would be describing his policy on energy instead of throwing out a gas tax holiday or say he'd throw money at someone to come up with a battery idea that is already here. If he wanted to be president he would be stating his case to be president instead of attacking the person that wants to be president and perform the duties of that office.

Obama wants the job, not the title. He has already made the case to the people. He has already formed allegiances with other countries to deter and suppress terroristic activities and extremism. Obama has put his policies on the table and has let the people see them. He listens to those around him and is willing to work across the aisle to come to agreements on issues that affect us. Just ask Senators Hagel and Bachus.

    Vote Obama for President.

Does America really want our next commander in chief to be this inept? People want to blame Obama for McCain's horrible campaign, but come on. I worked with a lady once, we did the same job, different accounts. I was very organized, she was not. I remember her saying once as I reorganized my files "don't be so neat, you're making me look bad". I wasn't making her look bad - SHE was making herself look bad and no, I didn't stop being "neat". Neither will Obama. McCain is making McCain look bad. You see one campaign being run with razor-like efficiency and one floundering out in the ocean. I think our choice is clear. Besides, didn't people already elect a bumbling idiot? How's that working out for us? GO OBAMA!!!!

McCain should consider choosing Ted Stevens Senator Alaska as his running mate. Ted is going to be available, but he may have to be placed in a work release program to attend cabinet meetings.

Seems ole Teddy failed to report a minor repair on his home that was paid for by an OIL contractor.

May have slipped his mind because he's been on the senate Floor everyday trying to do what's best for us. in this case it to drill off the coast and in National parks.

The minor repairs/ Teddy had them raise his house and add a new ground floor thus creating a second floor.

McCain, when asked about Stevens a few days ago said he's know him for years, is a friend and he considers Steven to be Mister Honesty. Teddy was indicted on several counts of fraud yesterday. Today McCain said he couldn't comment on an on-going investigation. Where have i heard that phrase before?

Bottom line, the oil companies aren't interested in exploration. they already have millions of acres they aren't developing. They just want to tie them up before some future competitor gets there equally greedy hands on them.

The Republicans would sink and OIL WELL in the Center of JFK's Grave in Arlington National Cemetary if they thought they'd find oil there.

  • Posted By: svernon @ 07/29/2008 10:22:53 PM

If John McCain cannot even listen to his campaign advisors regarding simple things like stage directions and more advantageous photo ops, then how can we expect that, as President, he would listen to his advisors on much more serious and pressing matters. Can we afford to have another President whose attitude is little more than "my way or the highway"?

    • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/30/2008 11:19:21 AM

McCain should follow the lead that another old idiot did. He should try using the hand to the ear while walking away. Reagan used this effectively for his entire term. At least ole Ronnie could deliver the line given to him. The latest electoral count assuming no toss up states and giving the candidate leading in the so called toss ups the votes has it Obama 322 McCain 216. What a butt kicking. And McCain is begging for debates with someone who will eat his lunch? Oh, wait a minute, McCain's not looking for debates. He's looking for townhall meetings where the audience would be made up of cheerleaders for his every utterance. No spur of the moment questions, no followups and no rebuttal from the other candidate.

McCain is afraid to debate, just as he is afraid to tell the truth about iraq and lose the few mouth-breathing supporters he has left.

I can't wait until november to see ole rushbo and his ilk disavowing mcCain. They will flee like the rats they are from the sinking ship.

      Life is too good!

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/27/2008 1:42:19 AM

I think the opposite will happen. Obama doesnt like getting questions propelled at him without knowing what he is being asked (he is most comfortable with scripted speeches where he talks TO audience) , whereas McCain is comfortable in his own skin cuz he has substance, much experience,, knowledge, accomplishments in working within the US Senate for years and is well known to be a bi-partisan senator who has gone up against Republicans views numerous times, including the push for the surge which, no matter how Obama spins it (or doesnt answer it, I loved how Katie Couric asked the hard questions and how he squirmed and never answered the direct question. Katie was great, did not hesitate to meet him head on, and it was obvious he was skirting the answer that he really knows is the case. The surge did work. I have to find that video if it is somewhere on line. It was good unbiased interview she directed to Obama asking the same question three times in 3 different ways and he still didnt answer it. That is not someone I want for President. Someone that would rather throw the surge under the bus saying the surge was not a success (or not admitting that it was) for political expediency. But then he is agreeing with the Bush admin that a surge is needed in Afghanistan next . He cant have it both way. LMAO. But then, he is BothWaysBarack: www.bothwaysbarack : - )

                • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/28/2008 1:06:12 AM

                  . . . and vice versa? LOL

PS. Share, I wanted to add, I have defended Zombie many times. As you know even though Z and I are opponents we get along quite well.

Sharenews, I am not silly. Please understand that although I have nothing against you personally, when you continue to ' 'vet' Obama as you put it, day in, day out and you let McCain off the hook even though you keep insisting that you don't really support McCain, then I have every right to 'vet' you back. Btw, yes, Nins and Seej and I do support and defend one another. Join us share, and we can all do that together. The invitation is always opened.

And by the way, my responses include links to all sources and in NO WAY are to an endless source of smear sites. Not unless you call ABCNews, Huffington Post (maybe one or two there, LOL), CNN, National Journal, The Times Online, FoxNews (fair and balanced because they are the rare networks to at least try to vet Mr. O). Pia, you know I am posting real facts that are in the MainStreamMedia for the majority of any posts I do. I am ashamed of you. I try to be very to the point and at least I dont call people racists or idiots like you have been doing more of , of late. I am not posting smear info from smear sites . OMG. Can you imagine if I was . . . there is so much smear stuff out there it is unreal? But there are many factual things about Obama from his past that should be vetted. Maybe the MSM will get it right with the GE cuz they didnt want to knock Obama down in the Primaries to the degree they could cuz Hillary was their real worrisome contender. Stay tuned.

Sharenews, 1) I don't call anyone an idiot unless they do it first to someone else. 2) there's no mistaking who continously makes the racist/bigot comments. It's always the same bloggers and everyone here who is a regular has them pegged by now. 3) Of course you will continue to vet Obama even though you have not chosen sides as you say. 4) Will you ever vet McCain? Have you posted as many links and info on McCain as you have for Obama? If no, when? Be honest.

RO in Reno, thank you for your comments. You seem to understand sharenews the way I do. Sharenews will deny this of course. I have been beat up over my comments about this poster all weekend by a McCain supporter defending sharenews.

I dont know . . . . debates? Not knowing exactly what each are going to be asked to answer. Hmmmmm. Brings me back to the last debate in which Obama was asked to address alot of uncomfortable questions and he ended all debates with anyone, even though people really only had a couple one on one debates with Hillary. He was so flustered that he would not do any more. I personally cannot wait to his responses to all of the ads that will be flying about his background that he will be asked to be cleared up in front of all of America. After the DNConvention I think we will be seeing alot of vetting going on by the Press.

      Sensible assessment.

Bottom line: Image is everything. Lots of great pics which we???re sure to see again. Nothing changed on issues that matter ??? but a big bill for beleaguered U.S. taxpayers to cover the costs of Senator Obama???s excellent adventure.

McCain is a decent man and an American hero. But this was not enough to get Bob Dole elected. He needs to make us feel connected with him and through him to some higher purpose and values. He needs to inspire us. To remind us of what it means to be an American. He needs to help us see the dangers that confront us without appearing to be fear mongering. He needs to unmask Obama without anger and vitriol. How can he do this? How?

      • Posted By: neocon @ 07/28/2008 1:26:22 PM

Can???t, anytime someone says anything negative about BHO you are labeled as a racist, bigot or fear monger.

        • Posted By: mrzoid @ 07/28/2008 1:49:19 PM

You state this as if none of those leveling attacks on Obama are racists, bigots or fear mongers.

          • Posted By: neocon @ 07/28/2008 2:07:12 PM

I have positional differences with both BHO and JMc. If I post negitive about McCain it's "yea, yea right on". If I post negitive about Obama I have been call a nazi, racist and a bigot. Last time I checked I was none of the above. I am a well educated mid aged white male who trys to judge issues and arguements on its merits on on the emotions.

Ah relax, no one has called you any of those things. The people that these terms could be associated to have clearly said some pretty nasty things toward Obama and hence they are labeled as such. I have seen some of their rhetoric.

              • Posted By: neocon @ 07/28/2008 3:00:36 PM

not since I talked to Pia1981, lol.

                • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/28/2008 6:52:10 PM

Yeah, I dont know what is up with Pia lately. She has been loosely tagging people with being a bigot , idiot or smearer lately. She usually is not like that. Maybe she had a bad week. Anyways, dont hesitate to post your opinions, etc. : - D

                  • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/29/2008 11:45:56 AM

Sharenews, I appreciate you defending me, thanks. However, I do not loosely tag anyone here as a racist, smearer and idiot unless they deserve it. The person I called an idiot, called another blogger idiot first.
About my week,no, I had a good week. The bloggers brought it on themselves. They know exactly what they are posting when they do and then they cry, deny and spin when they get called out on it.

                      Hi P,

I have never read and comment from you where you called someone out that did not DESERVE it, so ignore those that accuse you of doing so, as I am sure you are aware of THEIR agenda. Carry on and enjoy your day!

                      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/30/2008 2:06:06 PM

Hi Seej! Thanks for your support, as usual. You're so sweet! Will you adopt me, lol?

                    • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/29/2008 4:57:29 PM

You are welcome. Glad you had a good week.

                • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 07/29/2008 11:39:01 AM

neocon, I don't recall calling you a racist but if I did, it was because you deserved.

            • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/28/2008 6:43:41 PM

neocon, that is a tactic alot of Obama supporters (not all) use to try to control people from posting anything negative in your comments or . presentation of factual articles, information, background on Obama. Try to ignore them. : - ).

        • Posted By: Jurr @ 07/28/2008 1:53:04 PM

GOP is down to fear mongering because Obama has out classed McCain on every political issue......
