I must agree arrogance and conviction seem to go hand and hand with McCain and Bush. I want a President that is smarter than I am. I want a President that knows how to think through problems not one that gets it from their Gut. I think that being a Senator for over 30 years does not mean experience to be President . I think that growing up with a single parent and graduating from Harvard does. He has to have compassion for all Americans Obama seems to me to be that Person.

"The American people know me that I have changed that I am not the same maverick as I was in 2000". That would be an honest assesment by him.

An arrogant person does not realize how foolish they appear to be for those who know better.

Mr. McCain is not showing his age so much as his lack of depth. Like his friend in the White House, McCain really is a lighweight on most issues. He has to rely on a thin record of accomplishments in the Senate which make people wonder what he was doing all those years. His experience as a POW make him a true patriot, but a patriot without a clue is just as likely to mismanage the country as the rich kid without a resume has mismanaged. Both have their loyal followers who believe the President does not need brains so much as convictions. On that front , the current President outdoes Mr. McCain. He has stuck to his convictions despite all evidence that his policies were not working. Another President who knows what is right but little else will have the same results. Mr. McCain is the logical extension of the "shoot first and ask questions later' mentality that appeals to the Republican base. He will be a worthy replacement for the Republican party and another disaster for the nation.

I respectfully disagree. People do NOT know the real John McCain, but they are beginning to.

    1. This is NOT the McCain of 2000. This is a totally different McCain who is pandering to his base and whoever he has to, to try to get elected.

    2. I am a resident from Arizona. This man has done nothing I can recall as helpful to anyone here including veterans.

    3. McCain is NOT SO PRO VETERAN as people assume. He has hid this very well. Check the record of his votes. The latest was the bill sponsored by Senator Webb and others for educational benefits for returning veterans. People ASSUME because he was a POW he is for veterans. The record proves different.

He does not know so much about war as he says. Folks, HE WAS A POW and that deserves respect but IT DOES NOT MAKE HIM AND EXPERT. He held no field commands. He was a glamour boy that flew airplains. DO NOT ASSUME that makes him an expert in anything. Field commands do that.

Do NOT assume just because he has been in the Senate for ever that makes him so knowledgeable. Ask why he could NOT achieve more than he has before the age of 71 with a POW background. Its because he just does not have it.

Listen to him carefully. Any rational, open minded, unbiased and non racial person would have to agree he is really lacking in so many ways. The so called "surge* is the only thing he has been even close to right on and then he fails to consider "political achievments" in his assessment of its success.

It is unfortunate that John McCain, a man who deserves a nation's respect as a POW is a man without vision oriented only toward violence in solving the our future problems.

HE IS WAR WAITING TO HAPPEN.

McCain is old. Can he function? Of course.

But at a time with such great complexities in the world..we need a President who is at his very best, not just getting by.

He is a complete fraud or senile. His record does not match his rhetoric. He has sold out his own persona. It is obvious that aging has not served him well and at some point his soul blackened.

Mccain has a voting records that does not match what he says about women and the vets. Vets gives Mccain a D on his voting record. He voted against equal pay for women. He voted against forcing the oil companies to keep the oil that they get from this country must be sold in this country not on the open market.People only know the Mccain they see on TV.The public does not know the Real Mccain voting record.

I have to respect McCain anytime he praises vets, but his message has been less then clear, and full of flips flops and gaffs leaving me to wonder if his age hasnt left him worse for wear, Has anyone seen this video of McCain falling? I was thinking if McCain takes many more falls he might break his hip. Though It wouldnt slow him down much though because he doesnt do much on the campaign trail as it is. If you want to see the video I think It was at http://www.mccanes.com Its not on the home page, but on one of the links there. I thinks its the clip lkni. Hmm. Im not warming to either candidate yet. Meanwhile obama is celebrating his win on a european trip, . I saw the vidoe of Obama smoking a cigar on his europe trip, News hasnt showed it though. I guess its a victory cigar. LOL, IF you want to see the video its at http://www.theobamaplan.com not realated but I dont want to be bias So if anyone wants to see the video of McCain falling? Its so grainy. I havnt heard anything on the news so IM figuring it must be old or something.
