The truth is that is it easy to judge anything when you only know what someone else has said, reported. Everyone is playing Monday morning quarterback, pointing out every flaw of every point.
The truth is that we acted upon the information that we felt were and are creditable. I know and agree that mistakes have been made; however, look at what Bush has had to overcome in national disasters. I think in the years to come, we will learn to true details regarding the decision that were made. Then and only then, should we judge!!!!!

Argh ! We need a global citizenry. Alas too many of us still live in the 14 th century when it comes to enlightenment. Religion poisons freeken everything. And down with American imperialism. It's ironic how America's selfish involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq perpetuated by the president and his inner circle will cost America its superpower designation and level the playing field as a new world order becomes established. Element 92 may do us all in yet. Forgive me for being a little off topic.

Reagan and Bush 1 asked Israel to send advanced weapons to the Afghan "freedom fighters" to kill some commies on our behalf. After the soviets left, we of course abandoned Afghanistan (just like most of the Africans they have no oil, so we don't really care what happens to them). Then the Taliban brought "security" to a country devastated by tribal wars and extended their hospitality to Al-Qaede, their anti-communist partners who then attacked us on 9/11. So we are reaping the seeds that we sowed. Same is the story with Iran and the CIA's overthrow of their democtric government in order to bring Shah back and keep giving us cheap oil.

As far as your Nam comments, the Vietnamese were not threatening our freedom and the only reason I empathize with the soldiers who fought them is because most of them didn't want to be there but had no choice, they were drafted. Iraq is a different story, these folks "volunteered" to go on a "human hunt"...no excuses for them. Peace and Justice for all.

I to am a Combat Vet and I couldn't agree more that the media should by all means have a gag order on their asses. Many times in Nam they created more problems for us then the enemy did. The things they printed and filmed caused riots and hugh protest here in the states. Down with the media!!!

Who the hell is khairy11? For one thing, I know you are not a Muslim. Muslims do not present themselves in that way... I would say you are posing as a Muslim in order to belittle this beautiful religion. On another note... if Afghanistan, upon fighting and defeating Communist Russia, was not abandoned and hung to dry by the "good 'ol US of A, and instead was used to invest within that country... none of this would be going on. All of this excitement over Afghanistan started when Bush decided to plan an oil pipe line across Afghanistan. Iraq, as we all can agree... never threatened our way of life... conversely, WE CREATED THE AL-QAIDA insurgency which exists today in Iraq... which was not there before.

I am a "white" American Born Muslim who loves his religion and his country. I'm not bragging, rather, I know there are plenty of stereotypes and bigots who think every Muslim is an arab/asian/african, etc. Islam preaches tolerance... I can take my camera and show you what harm Christians do everyday... but do they represent ALL OF CHRISTIANITY??? NO!!! Same with Jews, I can easily find how Jews manipulate the American public to fight in the name of ISRAEL... and other bad things, but I also know that there are good Jews out there as well, so I do not hold accountable all people for what a few might do.

I also am a combat vet from the Vietnam War. I feel that the media was a great hinderance during that conflict also. They were always reporting things they had no business printing or showing on telivision. That is what tour the country apart as far as the riots and protesting. The courts should put a gag order on their asses.
