Obama's Sober Mood
Greeted by thousands of Europeans, Obama's world tour went smashingly well. But the candidate says he's not letting any of it go to his head.

Are any of you chicken hearted chicken hawk repug mccainites/bra burning clintonites ever gonna step up and answer or just do the ROVE thing avoid and redirect?
I ask a repug "why is the sky blue?" Repug says "well grass is green." I ask why is water wet?" repug says "dirt is brown and grass grows in dirt so Obama is a Muslim"...lol
Here lets ask a question and see if a repug can answer with out saying the words Democrats, Obama or Clinton:
Q: Which American President ignored intelligence that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks, then LEFT AFGHANISTAN for Iraq (a country that has never attacked the US) Says he NEVER even thinks about those who attacked us, "I don't even worry about bin laden"...he says
Sub question: which American Senator has supported nearly ALL of said Presidents policies on the WAR as proven by his record of voting with the "President" 90% of the time?
A: have at it -

Ron Suskind Must be the only real journalist left in this country but I guess its just the "Way of the World"
By Ron Suskind
What just happened? Evidence. A secret that has been judiciously kept for five years just spilled out. All of what follows is new, never reported in any way:
The Iraq Intelligence Chief, Tahir Jalil Habbush -- a man still carrying a $1 million reward for capture, the Jack of Diamonds in Bush's famous deck of wanted men -- has been America's secret source on Iraq. Starting in January of 2003, with Blair and Bush watching, his secret reports began to flow to officials on both sides of the Atlantic, saying that there were no WMD and that Hussein was acting so odd because of fear that the Iranians would find out he was a toothless tiger. The U.S. deep-sixed the intelligence report in February, "resettled" Habbush to a safe house in Jordan during the invasion and then paid him $5 million in what could only be considered hush money.
In the fall of 2003, after the world learned there were no WMD -- as Habbush had foretold -- the White House ordered the CIA to carry out a deception. The mission: create a handwritten letter, dated July, 2001, from Habbush to Saddam saying that Atta trained in Iraq before the attacks and the Saddam was buying yellow cake for Niger with help from a "small team from the al Qaeda organization."
The mission was carried out, the letter was created, popped up in Baghdad, and roiled the global newcycles in December, 2003 (conning even venerable journalists like Tom Brokaw). The mission is a statutory violation of the charter of the CIA, and amendments added in 1991, prohibiting the CIA from conducting disinformation campaigns on U.S. soil.
So, here we go again: the administration is in full attack mode, calling me names, George Tenet is claiming he doesn't remember any such thing -- just like he couldn't remember "slam dunk" -- and reporters are scratching their heads. Everything in my book is on the record, with many sources. And so, we watch and wait....
There will be more falling by the wayside after this book is read and there may be an impeachment in the works. Wait there already is! This will give it lots of strength. If you are a patriotic American write all of your congressmen/women and senators and ask them what's up with this. -

According to TIME magazine
http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1829354,00.html?cnn=yes
John McCain's sole idea to "drill here and drill now" won't produce oil until the year 2030, and then it will only be 200,000 barrels per day. In comparison, the government estimates that if everyone made sure their car tires were fully inflated, we could start to reduce our oil consumption by 800,000 barrels per day, right now.
Extend your inflated PAIN with your vote for McCain-

Time is another liberal rag sheet, beholden to extreme environmentalist wackos who real agenda is to strangle the American economy. Actually, a lot like Newsweak.
We have abundant oil reserves offshore, at ANWR, and in oil shale in Colorado, We just need the political will to defeat the Anti-American jackals (such as yourself) and go get it.
Drill Here
Drill Now

Very nicely put Holy, ufortunately the question was time line (how long until we see oil) and IMMEDIATE effect on prices (how long before we see an effect on perices and how much of a difference)? SO pleasse try again...ok thanks ;)
-
Posted By: HolyRoller @ 08/05/2008 11:59:44 PM
Time line to see oil? Opinions vary...from some offshore within a couple of yrs and ANWAR 5-7. Others say 10-15 yrs. SO WHAT...all I know is this. The sooner we start, the sooner we get there. As for PRICE drop....there would be some immediate relief. The addt'l oil potential, would be factored in very fast. How much of an impact??? Again opinion varies, but virtually everyone involved in the industry agree it would have an impact. There is also, psychology involved, as in any commodity pricing.
We neither can nor need to drill our way out of this. There needs to be intensive effort toward other options...which Hussein objects to (for now-he will flip) mainly oil-shale, clean coal technology, nuclear power, hydrogen fuel cells, etc.....BUT excluding addt'l drilling is foolish and dangerous.
It certainly appears the Dem Party wants and desires dependency on others to supply this needed energy. That is one of the greatest weakness in this group of loonies. America is not blind to this. And when you lose way more elections than you should...you can blame Emporer Soros and his Witch-Queen Pelosi.

HolyRoller is a blogger not an expert (supply vs demand I understand....do you?)...so I'll let an expert I find quite convincing, answer you.........
There's been a huge transfer of power to oil producers. Even at $100 a barrel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates will earn almost $8 trillion in oil revenues between now and 2020, estimates the McKinsey Global Institute. More troubling are the political implications. "This has really strengthened the Iranians, Russians and Venezuelans to be more provocative in the world," says Larry Goldstein of the Energy Policy Research Foundation. Although governments control crude supplies, private companies have dominated distribution. Anyone can buy oil at a price. Now oil could become a political commodity offered to friends at a discount, withheld from rivals.
How can we retrieve some of our lost power? The first thing is to get out of denial. Stop blaming oil companies and "speculators." Next, we need to expand domestic oil and natural-gas drilling, including Alaska. Although we can't "drill our way" out of this problem, we can augment oil supplies and lessen price strains. It might take 10 years or more, because new projects are huge undertakings. But delay will only aggravate our future problems.

If you have not seen this article, you might want to read it. It is very well written and informative. It provides readers with some insight into Barack Obamas early political career. The time between his first campaign for the Illinois State Senate in 1995 and his race for U.S. Senate in 2004, which can fairly be called the LOST YEARS, the span of years that you never hear Obama talk much about.

The Senator Obamas tenure as a State legislator reveals him to be an Old-fashioned, Big Government, Race-Conscious Liberal.

Me thinks, NOT!!!! Obama furnished the flags for the phot moment to make himself look more worldly....word is that he paid those people who were willing to stay for a moment and PICTURE to hold the flags as a movie prop....simple logic tells you those people don't understand ENGLISH, so it's seriously doubtful that they would be cheering his statements....WHAT a JOKE.....JUST SAY NO TO O

sorry...you are both quite mistaken. Sen. McCain is Pro-Life. Unlike your choice. He is even quoted as advocating abortion for his own daughters, if necessary....DIRECT QUOTE AS FOLLOWS.......
"look, I've got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."
He also voted TWICE in the Illinois Senate, to allow........the murder of children born alive, during failed partial-birth abortion attempts. He now portrays himself an opponent to partial birth. LIAR. Here is his voting record..........
In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote. Sen. Obama voted twice against this legislation.
SOOOO....your dog don't hunt. I think you may well be a Hopium addict. Can't see the truth....OR....you avoid it out of fear.

For all the Hopium addicted obamamohammeds, frantically trying to discredit, Dr. Corsi and "Obama Nation". Hussein "cousin" Odinga is a thug. Is a Communist. Is in deep with the Radical Islamists. Is Anti-American. Here is a bit from TIME........................
The Trouble with Odinga..................TIME online Aug. 03, 2008
Ever since Kenya became independent two years ago, Jomo Kenyatta's rallying cry has been harambee -Swahili for "all pull together." Most Kenyans have been quite happy to put aside their tribal and political rivalries and give pulling together a try. The notable exception: Oginga Odinga, 54, Vice President of the nation, deputy president of its only political party and leader of the powerful Luo tribe. A wealthy and ambitious leftist who disagrees violently with Kenyatta's moderate policies, Odinga has spent the past two years trying to pull his own government apart.
He has attempted to import Communist arms, has received both money and ad vice from Communist diplomats, has at tacked fellow Cabinet ministers as "imperialist agents."
More from TIME..............................
It was a startling allegation. "Arms and ammunition," charged National Assemblyman Thomas Malinda, "are continuously being smuggled from Communist and other foreign countries into Kenya for the purpose of staging an armed revolution to overthrow our beloved government." The charge brought a quick denial from Security Minister Njoroge Mungai, who admitted, however, that "many people have been trained in the armed forces of other countries and the first we know about it is when they get back."
Whether smuggling was involved or not, the recent exchange brought to the surface the conflict that has long been raging within the government of President Jomo Kenyatta. Vice President Oginga Odinga, wealthy, 53-year-old leader of the Luo tribe, which forms an important part of Kenyatta's KANU party coalition, has been openly attempting to turn the new nation toward Communism
AND as I told ya'll months ago....it got so bad, the U.S. State Dept. asked Sen. Obama to intercede........
CBS NEWS....................The Associated Press reports that Obama has spoken to Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga to "express grave concerns over the election's outcome," according to Odinga's spokesperson, who added that the Democratic hopeful also plans to call Kenyan president Mwai Kibaki.
Obama, who has discussed the situation with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, has also recorded a message urging an end to the violence for broadcast on Voice of America radio.
Twist it, turn it.......shake it, bake it..............hip or hop it..........READ THE TRUTH..........""OBAMA NATION"
Hussein Obama is a crook and a fraud.

Funny how on the EXACT DAY Obama returns to asking the question to people "Are you better off then you were 4yrs ago, or 8yrs ago, do you think you can stand 4 more years of it?"...and gets a roar of "NOs!" from the crowd, John McCain, takes a piece of Obama'a speech which he has been saying for months now, and CRIES OUT about it...I will give RICK DAHMER DAIVS credit for his timing there ;) -

There are certain people in our country who are just really bothered by a guy who is a bi-racial, Black American who can carry a campaign so well as Obama. They are the xenophobic minority. Obama's overseas trip was excellent, and people will remember it when McCain's camp runs out of steam against him. They'll look back with pride on how popular and intelligent our leading candidate for US President was in the Middle East and Europe. They'll see how advantageous it is for us to have a leader that most of the rest of the world also respects.
When we elect Obama, the whole world will rejoice for us. They'll once again like Americans and traveling abroad won't be so embarrassing. Holy Roller and his ilk will be rappin' to the Rappers' Delight.-

63% Say Trip DOES NOT Make Obama More Fit to be President
Wednesday, July 23, 2008
While Barack Obama has touted his travel to Afghanistan and Iraq as a FACT-FINDING trip, 63% of Americans DO NOT BELIEVE it makes the Democratic candidate any more qualified to be president.
A new Rasmussen Reports national survey, taken Monday night, also finds that LESS THAN a third (32%) think Obama will learn from his trip to Iraq. Forty percent (40%) say his mind is already made up about policies to deal with the war there.
Another Rasmussen Reports survey this week finds that while voters trust Obama more on most issues, McCain has a double-digit lead on his rival when it comes to national security and the war in Iraq. Overall, Obama and McCain remain very close in the popular vote contest as measured by the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Holly Roller. Thanks for the tip. I am going to Borders this afternoon and getting my copy. Can you tell me about the author? Is he reputable?

Past reputable. Iron Clad. He led the "swiftboat" attacks on Kerry. The liberals still cry foul...but the truth is the truth. Kerry couldn't defend the charges because they were true. The book is 300 pages, and has 700 footnotes. First hand accounts, that were also verified. The dude is a freak and a commie. Oh, did I mention...HE IS A MOHAMMED??? Book debuted at #1 on Amazon. It is the nail in the coffin for the Hopium addicts.

Many of you remember this....I discussed Hussein's Christian maasacring cousin, in Kenya FOR WEEKS...All the obamamohammeds, tried to downplay ridicule, and discredit it. WEL, well, well...seems a NEW#1 Bestseller is on the stands. Obama Nation...by..Dr. Jerome Corsi Ph.D(remember the swiftboats???) Here is what Dr. Corsi says............................
Dr. Jerome Corsi told Sean Hannity yesterday that he has tapes of Barack Obama campaigning for his COUSIN, Raila Odinga, in Kenya back in 2006.
Odinga???s trying to overthrow the US-backed government of democratically-elected President Mwai Kibaki, so he can institute shari???a law (fundamentalist merging of religion and state) in Kenya.
Obama campaigned for Odinga as a sitting United States Senator, where he spoke in front of crowds with his cousin Odinga:
There???s a natural train of logic here that could be very damaging for Obama in the general election if Corsi actually does possess footage of Obama???s Kenyan campaign tour:
(1) Odinga???s supporters are determined to overthrow the Kenyan government, so his campaign appearances would address that as his chief goal.
(2) By nature of wanting to overthrow the Kenyan government, Odinga???s supporters are anti-American, since the Kenyan government is US-backed (and at least partially reliant on the US for stability).
(3) A successful campaign by Odinga would mean making anti-American statements, coupled with anti-Kenyan government statements, at campaign stops to rev up his followers.
(4) Obama appeared at campaign rallies with Odinga in Kenya, for Odinga???s followers.
(5) Obama has a proven track record of telling people exactly what they want to hear (see: San Francisco liberals re: bitter, gun-clinging Midwesterners; Ohio voters re: NAFTA; the Canadian government re: NAFTA; the liberal netroots re: FISA, campaign finance reform, you name it).
You know where this is going.
If Obama???s audience wanted to hear anti-American remarks, and Odinga always obliged these people, then Obama, with Odinga, at a campaign rally like this, as a sitting US Senator, well, fill in the blank. Or, go read Corsi???s book. Or, just wait for the tapes.
Should be interesting. BUT WHAT THE HECK....They were only Christians...RIGHT???-

Shouldn't it be "put your gloves on"? Anyways, It has been a tough week. Why don't you announce your choice for VP next week. That will the press a bone to chew on. Who are you going to pick? I saw that old geezer David Gergen last night on CNN saying you should pick Hillary. Why don't you have your Ms. Soliz Doyle give her a call.? Maybe she can persuade her to join the ticket. Barack Obama showed in his Europe and Middle-East tour, which incidentally he considered it to be a ???world tour??????gosh what a small world Obama lives in, that at best he could be considered for the post of Secretary of State. Perhaps Deputy Secretary of State, Middle-East would be more suitable for him.
Next to Angela Merkel of Germany, Obama looks like a freshman standing next to an experienced and seasoned politician. And again at the press conference with Nicholas Sarkozy of France, Obama is cast in even worse light, having to jostle for supremacy with the suave and seasoned politician and in the end outwitted and out-talked by Sarkozy. To add insult to injury, Obama repeatedly praised Sarkozy for his good work in the Middle-East peace process, a clear indication that he is clueless as to how to deal with the problems himself.
Of course the Europeans would love to have Obama as President of the United States, that way they can lead him by his nose!-

I have been to a townhall meeting of John McCain's, he DOES NOT fully answer any question. John McCain even lied, and was even caught, and confronted about his lies by a veteran, he lied some more..
Just the other day, on abcnews after John McCain said that "nothing is OFF the table" when it comes to taxes, (a couple days later at a townhall John McCain lies to a little girl when she asked if he would raise taxes, (he lied and said NO!)
Alot of time what John McCain does is deflect answering a question by attacking Obama, rather than saying what he , John McCain will do himself. What is disturbing about John McCain's willingness to lie to voters, telling lies about his policies, and record, as well as the lies he tells about Obama's policies, (and John McCain shows ZERO shame about it). It makes you really wonder if what John McCain is saying (any of it) is true, when John McCain is so willing to lie about his policies, and his record, and right to peoples faces. -

"I have great admiration and respect for Senator Obama."
If so, McCain has a funny way of showing it. All we've seen and heard from him for the last month is a string of personal attacks, culminating in yesterday's ad smearing Obama as "the biggest celebrity in the world." He's just another famous, pretty face, in other words, and not ready for the presidency.
True? No. Childish? Yes. But that's not all. This ad is also deliberately and deceptively racist.
Of all the famous celebrities they could have compared Obama to, why not Tom Cruise? Or Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Donald Trump, or Oprah Winfrey? Why Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Why two white blond bimbos?
Only one reason. It's a somewhat tamer version of the white bimbo ad used so successfully against Harold Ford in Tennessee. In juxtaposing Barack Obama with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, the McCain campaign is simply trying to plant the old racist seed of black man hitting on young white woman. Not directly, but subliminally and disgracefully.
One thing for sure. This isnt the John McCain we first saw in 2000, running a campaign on the issues. And this isn't the positive McCain campaign he himself promised us for 2008. This is a campaign that, from the beginning, is nothing but negative, personal, dirty and, yes, racist
Even the most challenged politically envolved can see this yes even you "ROVEBOTS" and that is exactly why you are not touching this. You all know this is McCains suicide note. Probably the last nail in his political coffin. I bet right now the movers and the shakers in the Republican Party are scrambling for someone else they can nominate at their convention. The Republicans knew McCain was a terrible candidate they have just been proven most assuredly correct.
I feel your PAIN with your vote for McCain-
Posted By: sharenews @ 07/31/2008 8:17:16 PM
Why Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Probably becuase they have been teh most overly publicized people over the last year. I cant understand how Obama people are so miffed about this ad? It is pretty silly and will fade away. I cant imaging the whining that wil be had after the democ. national conference takes place when the Repubs will be bringing out the big guns. And you know they will. : = )

Holy Roller, you are such a bore.
Here we have an article highlighting Obama's tour where he did exceedingly well and by all intents and purposes acted like a President. He attracted leaders of the world to his vision and cause and spoke of their problems and the challenges we face these days.
When he comes back to Y0B-land, the USA, his public is postiviely not impressed and his opponent starts a smear campaign, despite vowing to handle his campaign differently. Now McSame can only talk about Obama, Obama, Obama, like he's just as smitten as he was his bambi wfie, Cindi, the one he left his first wife for - what a prize, what a Trophy!
If McSame wants to degenerate the election to this kind of trashy tit-for-tat, he's not got a chance in hell of winning. It didn't work for Clinton and it won't work for him.
None of the electoral college is going to be terribly impressed. Obama has already been playing to the more important audience and he'll win in the end, no matter about the popular vote.-

Must be your first rodeo. Hussein has not cracked 50%. Very unsettling for the DNC. His European Obamessiah tour, was STUPID. Look at the polls. Very early, bit indicates America is shaking out the cobwebs. He is FADING FAST., and is plummeting in NECESSARY states of, OHIO, FLA, and PENN. He needs all three. I'll be surprised if he gets ONE.
As America learns more about The One, he will continue to drop. McCain WILL carry a minimum of 35 states. Probably more...........Like that better??? Bottom Line....He is an idiot.
BTW...Edwards was a leader in the VP contest, and also being considered for Attn. Gen. HE IS DONE. So back to the drawing board Hussein.

For all those following the John Edwards...Mistress/Love Child story....here is some pretty current info....directly from Enquirer....BTW...Hussein is free falling
Enquirer's editor, David Perel tells Radar that while he is "definitely" in possession of photos from Edwards' bizarre early-morning tete-a-tete with Enquirer reporters at the Beverly Hilton last week, he won't be putting them in tabloid's next issue, or making them accessible online.
"It's a story that we're taking a long view of," Perel told Radar by phone. "We've got a big exclusive coming out this week, and we are on the trail of some stuff that's even hotter. But no one will dictate the time-table for when we release our unpublished material. We've been setting the agenda, and will continue doing so."
Perel declined to comment on the record about the nature of the unpublished material he is withholding, but did say that he "plans on releasing the photos when the time is right." He was similarly mum about what the Enquirer's "big exclusive" is. We've heard that the tabloid has established a financial link between Edwards and his rumored mistress, Rielle Hunter, though what that means???clandestine child support payments? Hush money????is unclear. Perel refused to confirm this, saying only that "it's always a good idea to follow the money." We've also heard from multiple sources that a major TV network is currently in negotiations with Hunter to secure a primetime interview, which would be the first serious play the mainstream media has given the story. Perel refused to confirm this as well.
Big exclusive or not, the decision to keep the photos under wraps is a curious one. "A lot of people are holding off on passing judgment until they see evidence that Edwards was actually visiting Hunter at the hotel," says a political reporter at the Huffington Post. (Evidently, Fox News' independent corroboration of the account via an anonymous hotel security guard doesn't prove anything beyond all reasonable doubt.) "If they have them, what reason could they possibly have for not having released them by now?" Perel denied that releasing incriminating pics at this juncture would buttress his publication's story. "We spent seven months reporting this out, and ended up nailing him with a time and a date and everything," he says. "And then had someone else confirm it. There's a bigger story at play, and we think we'll be better off putting them out there later."
But you do have photos from the night in question, right? "Yes, definitely."
Stay tuned!

If there was ever an argument for term limits , the happening in the last few days provides one.
First Ted Stevens, a man called Mister honesty by John mcCain was indicted for taking funds from an oil contractor for which he had done favors for.
Now, here comes Charlie rangel, Congressman from New York city. Accused of renting 4 rent controlled apartments for his offices. A congressman id only allowed to rent one apartment. He just happened to use his influence for a project for the company in the Bronx. He also received campaign donations from the company.
What chance do we have when we are betrayed by our lrepresentatives? We have a President and a would be Republican contender will to send our troops in harms way just to appease the mouth-breathing right wing. We have an alaska Senator pushing for off shore and national pary Oil drilling taking money from the oil Companies. We have a New York congressman who represents the needy in obtaining rent controlled housing taking money from those who provide the housing. When will it ever end and why do the parties gather around them in defense? They do so because most of them are just as dirty.
When you consider the over spending by the house and Senate for their donors and the cost of a phony war concosted by the republican party that has costs billions and cost several thousands of lives, it's depressing.
Bush/Cheney/Rangel and Stevens should be tried, convicted and sentenced to prison. -
Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/31/2008 2:43:05 PM
Ted Stevens may be subdued by his indictment for take money from an oil contractor, but you republicans should not fret. Senator Kyle, also from A laska, is pinch hitting on the Senate Floor as i write. Kyle has just quashed 3 requests from the Democrats. 1. A bill to include Opec in anti-trust law. 2. A Bill to make it National Policy to develope renewable energy policy such as wind and solar power to suppy electricity to homes and businesses. 3. A bill to curb Oil Speculators, most experts say speculation adds 50 cents to a gallon of fuel. Kyle objected to all three of the Bills because they did not include offshore drilling. The last thing the republicans want is to have us using anything that would compete with oil. The republicans and the white house rely on the money big oil gives them for their campaigns and their own pockets. Ted stevens is indicted for allowing a oil business to make a minor repair on his home. The minor repair consisted of raising up his home, building a new firsf and then setting the new 2 nd floor on top of it. I am for offshore drilling and I'm for fast tracking the solar and wind power programs. The solar and wind power programs would be up and running way before any meaning ful price change in gas would occur. Does anyone thing our fine upstanding oil companies will lower the price of fuel after they become the refiners, exployers, drillers, producers and the vendors?

What angers John McCain and bemuses many traditional observers is how unflappable Barack Obama remains in public, no matter how condescending the attacks. There is little doubt that the thick skin he grew over decades came in handy as he started to run for president. The past 18 months surely were not the first time Obama was baited for being black, for being white, for being Muslim, or for not being from "here," and it must be fascinating, although not unexpected, for him to see these patronizing attitudes resurface at this stage of his life. For the rest of us, what is fascinating is to witness how these old-school mindsets are backfiring on those who hold them, making them look less wise, more prejudiced, less fit to lead and altogether completely unappealing. -

Here's an update on the Electoral votes count. Caution: mouth-breathing G OLD Pers and young children should leave the room. Obama 322 +27 = 349 McCain 217 - 27 - 190. The last two polls including one by Republican pollster rasmussen shows Florida has swung to Obama. It was destined to happen once Hillary supporters like myself and Lations got on board.
Now you McCain airheads that didn't take my advice to leave the room shouldn't blame yourselves. You did everything Limbaugh, OReilly and fox told you to. McCain is playing the smear game when he knows that there's nothing left to throw at Obama but wait for him to miss-speak. Hillary already threw the sink. Even the foreign countries approve of Obama way more than McCain. I respect McCain cos he served America well but he's playing the same "Shame on you, Obama" campaign and Obama only has to keep himself focused and not mess up. I wonder how much McCain has reminded himself of pandering any way the wind blows.

The problem for McCain is his "Judgment", if he really had superior military insight, he would have never agreed to go to Iraq until Afghanistan was "mission accopmlished". If mccain would have wanted to defeat Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, where they make base and train, if he would have wanted to actually bring BIN LADEN to justice, if MCCAIN has TRUE judgment, he would have stood on the floor of the Senate and said "WRONG WAR< WRONG TIME!" We would have "WON" in Afghanistan, instead of "cutting" our ablility to supply more troops and "running" to Iraq, for a "WAR FOR OIL" and for the bush ego.
If McCain had done that, there would not have been a "SURGE" required, AT ALL. thousands of Iraqis and hundreds od Americans would have been saved...but NOPE! McCain and BUSH wanted to go to a country that NEVER ATTACKED THE US, and star another war, and now MCCAIN AND BUSH want to go "bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran". before AFGANISTAn or Iraq are clear...and you call that a "military mentality", you call that "Judgment"? -

What debt., Obama has unlimited resources. McCain, i don't know if he's flush or not. Obama has the big edge because he's financed by millions of small donations and his donors are not maxed out. I was maxed out with Hillary but Obama's campaign is more interested in my buying buttons, bumper stickers, hats and t-shirts. while these are donations too, the impact is doubled by financing campaign cost and advertising at the same time. McCain's cost will of course be offset with Swift Boater support. He wont be billed and no one will know who they were.

Here's a bulletin from Skallywag; Obama is afraid to debate McCain at a townhall meeting because obama would be privy to the questions beforehand. In other words, McCain is more able to speak extemporaneously than Barack obama. Jeez Louise, McCain can't even deliver a prepared line. Did Skallywag see any of the Democratic debates in which both Clinton and Obama were simply brillliant in their answering of tough questions and follow ups and rebuttals from each other? Only a mouth-breather could think mcCain could come out on top in that contest. McCain would have to resort to Barry, Hussien, Obama/Usama and other term the G OLP P losers have coined..

OK, gloves off, you started it. READ MY POST AGAIN and try to comprehend the meaning. I said that in my opinion (and I am allowed to have one) BHO doesn't want a town hall format because he can't have access to the questions before hand and therefore can't have canned, PC answers. Well, McCain can't have canned PC answers either - Think about it! The bottom line is McCain had the fortitude to put that chance on the table, knowing the possibilities, but Obama declined. Thus, my perception of the situation. Keep reading my posts - I feel that neither candidate is really qualified to be the President of the United States. I will probably not vote in November, Given a choice of gonorrhea or syphilis, I'll stay abstinent. Too bad the population of this country won't do the same. Think about the ramifications - we hold an election, but nobody votes becsue both candidates are morons. But there will always be some who will choose one or the other because they blindly follow the loudest propaganda. It is those blindly dumb people who can't or won't think for themselves that I refer to as weasels - because that is exactly what they are doing, weaseling out on their fellow citizens. Honorable people have defended this country for over 200 years to protect the rights of our citizens. The least the citizens could do is exercise those rights intelligently instead of squandering the opportunity away on one bad choice or another. Nobody ever said you HAVE to vote. There are many people who have said Obama is an open door of change, the sign of change, blah blah blah . He is just a politician, nothing more. So is McCain. The real change will happen when we let the government know, through actions in our local state and then federal communities that we are fed up with their antics. We as citizens must get involved in more than just a vote every couple of years to make it work right. Finally, DO NOT lump me in with any one group. You and Rush Limbaugh come from the same mold, just different flavors. You both blindly follow one line of thnking, considering anyone who says anythng even remotely different as the enemy. I suggest you sit down, review your own thought processes and decide if you are for a candidate for the right reasons or only because you are against the other candidate. If its the latter, You have obviously made your choice for the weakest reasons. Remember, I do not care for either candidate, the individual I feel is best qualified to lead this country pulled out of the primaries fairly early in the process.
