If there was ever an argument for term limits , the happening in the last few days provides one.

First Ted Stevens, a man called Mister honesty by John mcCain was indicted for taking funds from an oil contractor for which he had done favors for.

Now, here comes Charlie rangel, Congressman from New York city. Accused of renting 4 rent controlled apartments for his offices. A congressman id only allowed to rent one apartment. He just happened to use his influence for a project for the company in the Bronx. He also received campaign donations from the company.

What chance do we have when we are betrayed by our lrepresentatives? We have a President and a would be Republican contender will to send our troops in harms way just to appease the mouth-breathing right wing. We have an alaska Senator pushing for off shore and national pary Oil drilling taking money from the oil Companies. We have a New York congressman who represents the needy in obtaining rent controlled housing taking money from those who provide the housing. When will it ever end and why do the parties gather around them in defense? They do so because most of them are just as dirty.

When you consider the over spending by the house and Senate for their donors and the cost of a phony war concosted by the republican party that has costs billions and cost several thousands of lives, it's depressing.

Bush/Cheney/Rangel and Stevens should be tried, convicted and sentenced to prison.

Ted Stevens may be subdued by his indictment for take money from an oil contractor, but you republicans should not fret. Senator Kyle, also from A laska, is pinch hitting on the Senate Floor as i write. Kyle has just quashed 3 requests from the Democrats. 1. A bill to include Opec in anti-trust law. 2. A Bill to make it National Policy to develope renewable energy policy such as wind and solar power to suppy electricity to homes and businesses. 3. A bill to curb Oil Speculators, most experts say speculation adds 50 cents to a gallon of fuel. Kyle objected to all three of the Bills because they did not include offshore drilling. The last thing the republicans want is to have us using anything that would compete with oil. The republicans and the white house rely on the money big oil gives them for their campaigns and their own pockets. Ted stevens is indicted for allowing a oil business to make a minor repair on his home. The minor repair consisted of raising up his home, building a new firsf and then setting the new 2 nd floor on top of it. I am for offshore drilling and I'm for fast tracking the solar and wind power programs. The solar and wind power programs would be up and running way before any meaning ful price change in gas would occur. Does anyone thing our fine upstanding oil companies will lower the price of fuel after they become the refiners, exployers, drillers, producers and the vendors?

What angers John McCain and bemuses many traditional observers is how unflappable Barack Obama remains in public, no matter how condescending the attacks. There is little doubt that the thick skin he grew over decades came in handy as he started to run for president. The past 18 months surely were not the first time Obama was baited for being black, for being white, for being Muslim, or for not being from "here," and it must be fascinating, although not unexpected, for him to see these patronizing attitudes resurface at this stage of his life. For the rest of us, what is fascinating is to witness how these old-school mindsets are backfiring on those who hold them, making them look less wise, more prejudiced, less fit to lead and altogether completely unappealing.

Here's an update on the Electoral votes count. Caution: mouth-breathing G OLD Pers and young children should leave the room. Obama 322 +27 = 349 McCain 217 - 27 - 190. The last two polls including one by Republican pollster rasmussen shows Florida has swung to Obama. It was destined to happen once Hillary supporters like myself and Lations got on board.

Now you McCain airheads that didn't take my advice to leave the room shouldn't blame yourselves. You did everything Limbaugh, OReilly and fox told you to. You used the Barry, Hussein, Obama/Usama and NOBAMA stuff as well as any mouth-breather. I especially like the way skallywag uses BHO, very effctive huh?

Holly Roller: What are some of your favorite biographies?

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/28/2008 8:52:00 PM

Usually the one I'm reading is my favorite. I really enjoy anything by David McCullough. Reading "Mornings On Horseback" Teddy Roosevelt, now. "1776" is fabulous as is "Truman". Just finished "Lincoln" by David Herbert Donald. Unusual Bio. I felt I really met Abe. I highly recommend it.

One of my absolute favorites is non-political. "Cobb" by Al Stump. Ty Cobb (I grew up in his home town) was a unique character. The book shows his greatness and his utter failures. Very entertaining. Especially for a baseball fan.

But, I love this Nation, and KNOW she was created by the most High God. To deny it, is to be ignorant.
So I will repeat HolyRollers battle cry..........

A mohammed in the White House??? GOD Forbid...And HE has.....

And now... more rantings from Twiddle-dee (marti) and Tweedle-dum (roller); you guys should go on the road with your bit. Marti can sell Sidney McBush t-shirts at street corners, while the roller spouts bad poetry.

Ditto Steve. Seling tshirts on street corners suits them.

i actually have thought of selling some shirts. A caricature of Hussein...wearing a turban, coke spoon around his neck, joint in one hand, peace sign with the other, and that goofy smile. Slogan...YES I CAN...I'M A MESSIAH....NOBAMA underneath. Back American Flag and VOTE AMERICAN HERO...VOTE MC CAIN.

Sentencing for Hussein's personal real estate fairy, Tony "The Syrian" Rezko is only 5 weeks away. What is going on??? Found this piece of info. Seems to be in agreement with all of my posts and opinions. So for all you obamamohammeds...Here is something to wring your hands over.

    Chicago Sun-Times
    Mark Brown

Rather than ask U.S. District Court Judge Amy St. Eve to remain free on bond while he awaits sentencing, as is customary in federal court here, Rezko opted to go directly to jail.

He did not pass go. He did not collect 200 excuses as to why he shouldn't have to start serving his sentence.

Heck, he didn't even wait for his sentence.

Even St. Eve seemed to raise her eyebrows just a twitch as Rezko's lawyer, Joseph Duffy, announced to the court, "It's Mr. Rezko's intention to start serving his sentence immediately," in the process saving her from having to make the decision.

That is a very unusual development.

So what are we to make of it?

As Brown points out there may be perfectly reasonable possible reasons for his action. Rezko may have felt his bond was going to be withdrawn by the court so better to spare himself the indignity. Maybe it was his way of showing some sort of contrition before sentencing so that it might help him get a lighter sentence, etc. Or perhaps he had other reasons:

Tony Rezko is a guy who knows a lot about a lot of people. Those people have a very serious stake in him keeping his mouth shut. Rezko is also known to be a very security-conscious guy.

I know this is going to sound overly dramatic, but it's not really that far-fetched to think Rezko may well believe he's in danger if he goes free and that by reporting to jail it's proof that he's not cooperating.

It's one way of saying, "You don't have to worry about me."

Serving time at the Metropolitan Correctional Center is not light duty, as Rezko already knows.
    ...
It may sound cruel, but at some point, Rezko is going to have to decide if he wants to see them [his famiily] again outside a courtroom or a prison visitors' room, and when that day comes, he still has some cards to play.

And wouldn't it be nice if he were playing those cards in a game with the President of the United States?

The fact that such a question can reasonably be asked just goes to show how much is left to be learned about Barack Obama and his long list of disturbing associates.

Witness Protection Program???? Hussein may need to use that dual-citizenship...............

It is people like you that keep blacks and whites seperate. Your past comments and your comments now lets me know that you are on this site to spead hate. I am going to laugh at you when Obama becomes the next President. It's funny that you talk about Tony Rezco, because Hillary and Bill took money from Tony Rerzco also.

      • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/29/2008 12:40:28 PM

They took campaign contributions, as did Hussein Obama. This is different. Rezko was an Obama "donor". There relationship went well past political contributions. Rezko was convicted of bribing and fixing, the Chicago political scene. Hussein was very instrumental in many of the contracts awarded to Tony and friends. Rezko has two choices...squeal like a pig...take down Hussein and others...And recieve a Witness Protection Program pardon. OR....spend the rest of his life on earth in Federal Prison. Guess we will wait a few more weeks, to see what he decides.

BTW...you need to get off the racist junk. It is worn out.

UNHoly Roller, it is funny that you tell someone to get off this racist crap, when above you call Tony Rezko, "They Syrian." You are trying to insinuate that because Rezko is Syrian, he is a Muslim, he had an association with Obama, so therefore Obama is a Muslim. Newsflash for you dumbass, Rezko is a Catholic. Contrary to what you think, not all people from the middle east are Muslims.

hey PuffPuffPass....I always talk to the level of my fellow blogger. If they are juvenile and dumb...well...you get the picture. If they want to scream...RACIST...name call and bully...well...you get the picture.

One thing is for sure though. Everything I post, is based on actual events. I may add an entertainment value, but it is all factual. The obamamohammeds, are so cute when they are angry and cry.

PuffPuff...straight up. I would love to debate and discuss on these blogs. It is usually not possible. Both sides are entrenched (as I am) which is fine. BUT...the obamamohammed glass-eyed groupies, came out full-bore early on. It was the Hussein mantra (that continues today) to accuse any non-supporter for their Messiah, as a RACIST. Hussein's camp has figured out, finally....The short-term benefits do not outweigh the long term negatives. Too late. Pandora's Box has been opened. Devout Clinton supporters, many which have worked hard for civil rights, will NEVER forgive or forget., being slandered. Hence P.U.M.A. McCain will get more Dem. votes than any Repub. since Reagan, because of this FACT alone.

So...Hussein has found out...much too late...You can't put the genie, back in the bottle. HolyRoller says...fine...you made the rules. I'll play your game...And it's fun and EASY. Hussein's got more skeletons, in his closet, than Bill Clinton has girlfriends..Like shooting fish in a barrel.

If those "skeletons" you're commenting on are all Obama has in his closet, I'd say the guy's a saint! You can't pin anything on him that sticks. Rezko is nothing, Wright is nothing, Ayers is nothing - nothing you have has amounted to a hill of beans because it's not connected that directly to Obama. His church is none of our business, really.

              • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/29/2008 7:52:23 PM

You are sadly mistaken. ALL the names (plus Many more) are way more than nothing. As for his "business". He stayed in that "church" for 20 yrs. He called the Imam Wright, his "Spiritual Mentor". A candidates belief system is very important and IS our business.

I can't convince you. You are way to intoxicated by the Hussein Kool-Aide. Watch the polls. Watch the election results. You will see.

McCain is playing the smear game when he knows that there's nothing left to throw at Obama but wait for him to miss-speak. Hillary already threw the sink. Even the foreign countries approve of Obama way more than McCain. I respect McCain cos he served America well but he's playing the same "Shame on you, Obama" campaign and Obama only has to keep himself focused and not mess up. I wonder how much McCain has reminded himself of pandering any way the wind blows.

Anyone know the answer to this: If Obama does not become the next president, does he have to pay back the debt he incurred? (Same goes for McCain) Just curious. Anyone know the answer?

    • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/30/2008 4:00:17 PM

What debt., Obama has unlimited resources. McCain, i don't know if he's flush or not. Obama has the big edge because he's financed by millions of small donations and his donors are not maxed out. I was maxed out with Hillary but Obama's campaign is more interested in my buying buttons, bumper stickers, hats and t-shirts. while these are donations too, the impact is doubled by financing campaign cost and advertising at the same time. McCain's cost will of course be offset with Swift Boater support. He wont be billed and no one will know who they were.

What Obama Learned on his Trip overseas:
    1) Pictures with presidents on foreign soil does not equate to foreign policy experience
    2) 200 thousand marxist supporters chanting you on is not good for getting US votes
    3) Should have visited the troops without the cameras or not scheduled it in the first place...bonehead!
    4) I can beat David Hassohoff in a popularity contest in Germany any day!
    5) An orchestrated image campaign may work for Paris Hilton but perhaps not for a general election candidate.

Geeze, I could have told him this! This, folks is what you get when you mix inexperience, arrogance and irresponsibility with a politician! You get Obama exercising the Paris Hilton strategy on how to be famous. The big miscalculation? well, washington isn't exactly hollywood and voters are not dumb.

  • Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 07/30/2008 9:33:49 AM

McCain has had since February to hone his campaign skills. McCain has had since February to form his committees and since then has been throwing people under the bus. McCain has had since February to develop his platform which he has not. He

doesn't want to be president. If he really wanted to be president he would have made a better name for himself while he had the opportunity to do so while Obama was battling Hillary (you all remember the one that was supposed to win). McCain would have righted the wrongs on his VA stances, he would have had a chance to address voting for a war that was wrong and will go down in history in infamy.

McCain doesn't want to be president. He just wants the title. He wants the perks that come along with it. He just wants power.

He doesn't want to be president. If he wanted to be president, he would be giving speeches on the socioeconomic issues the country and world faces which is what the leader of the free world is supposed to do; not stand in front of a crowd of people that already has money looking for a photo op.

If he wanted to be president he would be describing his policy on energy instead of throwing out a gas tax holiday or say he'd throw money at someone to come up with a battery idea that is already here. If he wanted to be president he would be stating his case to be president instead of attacking the person that wants to be president and perform the duties of that office.

Obama wants the job, not the title. He has already made the case to the people. He has already formed allegiances with other countries to deter and suppress terroristic activities and extremism. Obama has put his policies on the table and has let the people see them. He listens to those around him and is willing to work across the aisle to come to agreements on issues that affect us. Just ask Senators Hagel and Bachus.

    Vote Obama for President.

I for one would like to have a president that understands that the "world" is bigger than Europe, the Middle East and the USA. Apparently Obama doesn't realize this since he just finished a world tour of Europe and the Middle East. On the bright side, at least he can pronounce the word nuclear, but then again, so can McCain. I wonder if McCain thinks the world consists of the USA and Vietnam?

I've watched FOX News last night and this morning, you know to see what the hubbub is all about. I saw the look on their faces like they wanted to pin Obama down on something and they couldn't find it. They would start a topic and their faces would twist like they had an "ah hah" gotcha moment but then they realized they said something that would benefit him. And then there was silence as they stared at each other. If that is the best the GOP have to offer in regards to the POTUS in waiting, then man this is too funny.

The only reason junior senator Barach Hussein Obama opposes U.S. offshore oil rigs is that the fringe democratic idiots are also against the idea that the USA should not be free from foreign suppliers of crude oil.

Notice none of these knot heads who believe wind mills are the answer to all our problems are saying very much now that the price of gas has dipped below $4.00/ gallon. So junior senator its time to come up with another hair brained idea.
