The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that Barack Obama's Berlin bounce is fading. Obama now attracts 45% of the vote while John McCain earns 42%. When "leaners" are included, it's Obama 48% and McCain 45%.

Wait till the end of the week.

I WONDER WHY? Maybe because he is a pompous, arrogant piece of crap??? Hmm..sounds about right.

All the American voters need to know about Obama is he is a hugh liar, a phoney, a pompous man, egotistical, arrogant and will not admit he was wrong; he will not listen to the U.S. generals or Chief of Staff because he thinks he knows more than they know.

There is no level Obama will not stoop to for political gain. Agreeing to a meeting only if he gets paid $250,000??!!! I am trying to think of what they call an arrangement like this. What a guy.

The forum -- which was not on Obamas public schedule and was closed to the press -- took place shortly before a fundraiser at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, Calif., on July 13. That was less than a week before Obama's trip to the Middle East, where the U.S. relationship with Iran is a critical issue.

Holly Roller. Your comments are right on. I hope that through your posts (I hope they are not limited to Newsweek) you will help prepare the nation for that spectacle. I anticipate that the contrast between McCain (soft spoken, man of the people) and Obama (grandiose, man above the people) will be even more evident. McCain's covention should be as straightforward, and simple, I would even say Spartan or Puritanical as possible to create to perfect contrast to the demagoguery that is likely to take place in Colorado.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain moved from being behind by 6 points among "likely" voters a month ago to a 4-point lead over Democrat Barack Obama among that group in the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll. McCain still trails slightly among the broader universe of "registered" voters. By both measures, the race is tight.

The Friday-Sunday poll, mostly conducted as Obama was returning from his much-publicized overseas trip and released just this hour, shows McCain now ahead 49%-45% among voters that Gallup believes are most likely to go to the polls in November. In late June, he was behind among likely voters, 50%-44%.

Among registered voters, McCain still trails Obama, but by less. He is behind by 3 percentage points in the new poll (47%-44%) vs. a 6-point disadvantage (48%-42%) in late June.

JUST THE START. McCain will carry a minimum of 35 States. likely more.

Whether you support his policies or share his vision most of you are probably like most other Americans who had no idea who he was a year and half ago, seven months ago you couldn't pronounce his name or have even taken the time to remove the bull from the facts. Even with all of these tremendous odds against him The American people and Barack Obama are leading in the polls and the real numbers (real counted votes). Amazing truly AMAZING! An extremely unknown Politician leading nationally against one of the most famous politicians in the entire world. Now does that say that Barack Obama is one of the greatist politicians and will be one of the greatist leaders ever or that John McCain is just such a bad politician and an extremely weak leader? I actually think that it is a lot of both.

What? It's only racism if it's the kind of racism YOU don't like. Go visit an indian reservation or talk to a Japanese American. My boys are waiting.

Numerous local European & German news sources quoted the crowd estimate at 20-30,00 people for Obama's speech in Germany. The Associated Press got the 200,000 qoute from the Obama campaign's 'organizers', the US mainstream media took the quote from the AP, and ran with it. (Newsweek's quote is "more than 200,000".) This is just the latest example of US mainstream liberal media bias that has made Obama a political star long before he paid his dues with any meaningful accomplishments as a Senator. Crowds are routinely badly underestimated for conservative events or rallies, and vastly inflated for liberal rallies and marches. When 1 million people marched against gay marriage in Rome, there was practically no media coverage in the US except one source that estimated the crowd at 'tens of thousands'. But when 1000 code-pink gay activists show up anywhere in America, it's covered as a major news event, and the 'organizers' get to qoute the crowd at 50x the real attendance ("organizers estimated the crowd at upwards of 50,000"). Watch this phenomenon in the fall election cycle - it's been going on for years now, and few people are paying attention. Obama did NOT attract 200,000 to his speech in Germany - no matter how clever the photos were framed to make the crowd look like the inflated 'estimates' fed by the 'organizers' to the US media.
And before the Obama fanatics begin to trash me, I'm an independent voter totally fed up with both parties, so don't bother with the "right-wing" slam - just do your homework and you'll discover you're continually drinking pro-Obama cool-aid fed to you by the US media.

Mcain does some international speeches and barely gets noticed by the press. Obama does a few speeches and the media is all over themselves reporting on the trip . I'm kind of neutral to both candidates but the bias of the media is sickening. Fox is so anti Obama they've become a joke. NBC, CNN and most of the media are at the other end of the spectrum. No wonder mainstream media and print media are losing their audience.
