Obama was born in Hawaii. He is not a socialist. He is not Muslim he is Christian, and so what if he was Muslim, you do know that 99% of Muslims are not terrorists. You are a typical republican and talk like you are in the 1950's - USA=Number 1, and the rest of the world are pinko commies!! Im from England, and thanks to the evil socialist country that I live, I get health care for free with any doctor or medical practice that I choose, I work a 30 hour week with more if I choose, I get 7 weeks vacation PAID, I get benefit payment if I am off sick for no time limit, my economy isnt as bad as the USA's. Not bad for an evil socialist country. And lastly, may I say lay off the religous crap, you sound ridiculous.

TimR1941 - It appears you don't have all of the information. At the last minute, Sen. Obama was telephoned by the PENTAGON and TOLD NOT to visit the WOUNDED IN GERMANY! This was less than one day prior to his planned visit! The Pentagon was fearful that he would be campaigning there and did not want any press there either! If you all look at Sen. Obama even before he was elected as a Senator, this is his natural posture. He isn't comparing himself to Presidents Kennedy and Regan; the press has been doing that!!!!

Why can't you folks get your facts straight? People like you scare me...you are the one's who are going to be voting? Research, read...get your facts straight before you go into that voting booth. Frankly, Obama is right on all counts! Our foreign Relations STINKS! WHERE HAVE YOU ALL BEEN IN THE PAST EIGHT YEARS!!!! How many times has Pre. Bush left the White House for Diplomatic Reasons? Why do you think he and his administration is before the house Judiciary Committee facing High Crimes and Misdemeanors especially for abuse of the privaledge of the "SIGNING STATEMENT" which is to be utilized in special circumstances only when the Pres. used it as an every day occurrence and Jack Abramoff led the Congess into mini vacations at your tax dollar expense??? Do any of you know how the Constitution and its Amendments read? Do any of you know how your Bill of Rights read? I suggest you educate yourselves before you vote also. Have any of you really read about either candidate? and I do not mean propaganda. I mean the REAL FACTS about each individual and their voting records as well as the fact that John McCain was so angry in 2000 during the election process he almost became an Independent? Anyone remember what GWBush did to him that year? The only reason McCain forgave him is because when he became Pres., GWBush passed the McCain-Feingold Act. He twists Sen. Obama around like a pretzel to make him look the opposite of who he is. This man is clean as a whistle and McCain knows it. His voting record as well as the bills he has sponsored in the Senate! He has worked with Sen. McCain and McCain knows he is twisting facts about Obama. I am undecided but the more I investigate the two, Obama has what it takes to lead this Cuntry into the future...He is incredibly Intelligent and Committed, youthful as well as energentic with a vision to right the wrongs of the past eight years and at the same time reset this Country on a course for the people by the people of the people! TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT!

If I were going to vote for John McCain I will definitely not vote for him now and plan to absolutely vote for Barak Obama now and support his campaing, give money to his campaign and try to talk every person I can into voting for him. Why? Because watching all the stupid, rediculous disparaging attacks against Mr. Obama while he is away convinces me the lack of judgment, the poor decision making, the depths that John McCain and his supporters will go to lie, deceive and twist the truth to get elected. John McCain makes me sick just watching him on TV. He can't talk, can't speak intelligently without talking out of both sides of his mouth at the same time. I have never seen anything like it. So now he in agreement with the 16 month timetable for withdrawal and let me guess he is saying this was his idea?

People love the newness, excitement and ???audacity of hope??? that permeates in Sen. Obama???s message and campaign. That???s not his fault, that???s just his charisma and message. Republicans like to make fun of the way Sen. Obama???s speeches move people. Well, it???s easy to speak and capture an audience???s attention when you speak from the heart and you know what you???re talking about. The Republican???s wish McCain could speak the way Sen. Obama does and capture the same amount of attention, but he doesn???t. He???s often in error in his comments and his demeanor and disposition both concerns and turns people off. That???s not Sen. Obama???s fault! It???s Sen. McCain???s own flaws that make the media and everyone else react the way they do. Many people see McCain as an opportunity to revert to the past. People see Sen. Obama as what???s possible in the future of politics.

I think this trip of Sen. Obama???s, which by the way was suggested by McCain, has been a magnificent success! Obviously, Sen. McCain wishes now that he had never suggested it because during that trip Sen. Obama represented the majority of Americans??? sentiments with dignity grace and he looked very presidential while doing so. Picture this; while Sen. Obama was speaking to a huge crowd in Europe, Sen. McCain was at a local supermarket talking to a few consumers that happened to come into the store. If he had any sense at all he should have used the opportunity, while Barack was out of the country, to state his case. Instead, he was busy worrying about what Sen. Obama was doing overseas. So, if the press is not reporting on Sen. McCain???s campaign as much as they do Sen. Obama???s (I don???t believe that???s true) it???s probably because of the way McCain has chosen to run his campaign (i.e. small town hall meetings, supermarkets, tiny hamlets and such.) Who in America wants to sit and watch him converse with these small pockets of people in the most boring settings he can find?

Obama postures as a president and dares to compare himself to Reagan and Kennedy, blaming Americans for what's wrong with the world, while refusing to visit the wounded military. A disgrace.

My one question is: why si Newswekk so obsessed with flattering and fawning over Obama? Absurd.
