I think the hotdoll is a little "out there" and would have my pet spayed/neutered before it came to THAT - however, I really really like the dog walker! I have a mini-dachshund who is always a little bit overweight due to a thyroid issue, but in the winter she WILL NOT go out, hates to walk on snow and ice much less get cold, and I have seriously considered getting a human treadmill just to give her exercise in the winter. This is just the right size and a lot less money! I'll probably get one of these.

Enter Your CommentAll our dogs are female and spayed and still hump. That doesn't seem to quell the desire.

I personally liked the cat piano.
But on a serious note, I think most of these products are rubbish, simply brain-children of the lazy. Though I think the cat camera is pretty cool. Unnecessary, but interesting.

I personally liked the Cat Piano one. That made my day!
I think that most of these products are rubbish. I can see the cat tracker, if you could use it to find your lost pet, but other than that, I see these products as mind-children of the lazy.

One additional thought: although many of these items may be "way out there" for many of us (me included) presumably most of them meet someone somewhere's needs...to me, however, the one major exception is the "iPond", because fish can feel pain, too - and not having the proper minimum requirements to survive condemns these poor animal to a sad, presumably painful, and completely unnecessary death. These days our ability to create animatronics, etc. is so good that we could just create a little toy/robot fish instead of using a live one!

RIGHT ON!!! I agree with you, and there ARE those robot fish out there. I've seen them. Thank you for your kindness to all animals. We need more people in the world like you.

Great items,I am a senior citizen (just barely) and thru my 65 years I have meet a lot of people and everyday I know why I like animals better then MOST PEOPLE. So if I can spend some of my retirement money on my 5 poodles I will and whoever thinks that is wrong well just try and find 5 friends as faithful as one dog,and its my money so its no ones business what I spend it on,ANIMALS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! Litter Robot? Clean once a week? Holds up to 15 pounds of cat poo? $329.00? Silly me. I've been using two plastic litter boxes, a 39 cent plastic pooper scooper and scooping once a day. My cats aren't high tech kitties. They are simple souls who would think I was nuts if I put that "robot" in their bathroom. And because it's so expensive, being cats, they would refuse to use it.

Highdesertmom I can't believe it, I finally founf someone who has basic, human common sense!!! I have a Cocker Spaniel who, I swear, eats and drinks with her long ears... so what, so I clean her ears once or twice a day, no big deal! Buy tubes to put on the ears so they won't get dirty? No, I think I can find better things to spend my money on!!!

I have the Litter Robot. As I work all the time I am very happy with it. Takes away the urgency of the daily scooping and removal.

Rotsa Ruck trying to get that treadmill. The only websites I've found for it are in Japanese. I've found other sites for doggie treadmills but they want a gazillion dollars for theirs.

Mmsmickey24, you obviously love your family and pets! I salute your kindness, decency, and faithful love. These aspects of your character are wonderful, and even better hopefully all of your kids will take the memories of your kindness with them when they grow up and go out into the world to start families of their own. You are making the world a better place just by providing us all with your good example!!

Hi I also produce an extreme pet item - It's Called " The Pet Sock " . I make a double front - single front - single back - and a full body . These are used to cover bandages ( helps keep bandages on and in place )or surgery site or injury site, to help keep your pet from bothering it so they can heal, but they also let the vitil air to the area for healing. The full body can have rubber feet added so you can let your pet out in wet times to briefly go potty and remove them when coming back indoors again to keep your floors clean !!!

Hello Junkmonkeys1 - I am interested in your product. Do you have a website? Thanks!

We have the litter robot for our 3 cats and it works like a dream. I really thought it was a gimick and was disappointed in the other auto litter boxes because of all the reviews that say they break easy. Well the litter robot is really constructed and works as advertised. 2 of the cats took to it right away. The 3rd took about 3 weeks following the instructions included with the litter robot. I am sold on this and so are the cats!!!!!!!!!

Re: The litter robot. I have been told these these devises have a problem with the rake. The poop gets in the rake & it's soft, so it sticks to the blades. How do you keep the poop from sticking to & therefore clogging the rake. I would love to hear from other people who have tried these devises. Other than that I think it would be a great item to shorten the time cleaning the litter box.

      • Posted By: jeffrey7257 @ 08/06/2008 2:58:01 PM

There is no rake. The litter falls on a screen and the clean litter falls through leaving the clumped litter to fall into the drawer. Check out the web site and on you tube. Really no muss no fuss. I am not a distributor just a happy cat owner.

i think most of these things are AWESOME. I would love to know where my cat goes when she ask to go outside. I have a husband, 5 kids, 3 dogs, and a cat, i love to spoil and pamper them all. As far as all of you OMG and WTF you obviously have no pets or have not experienced the true unconditional love and happiness your pets are capable of bringing you. Next time your at the store buy your pet something special instead of that case of beer or pack of cigarettes :)

All you OMG and WTF people obviously do not have a pet or don't experience the true unconditional love and enjoyment they have to give. WTF?Why are people pampering their pets with such expensive commodoties?

  • Posted By: bookmaget @ 08/06/2008 1:55:41 PM

  • Posted By: highdesertmom @ 08/06/2008 1:42:56 PM

Love the doggie treadmill. I walk my dog twice a day but it's not much of a workout for her since she's always stopping and sniffing every tree, bush, rock, sign post, streetlight and other stinky things.. The treadmill would be perfect for her.
