If Hillary has so much campaign debt why is she still spending money on her campaign web site? Shouldn't she quit throwing good money after bad?
The Clinton Cash Register
Will Bill's intake affect Hillary's debt relief?

I personally don't see why everyone seems to think Obama and his supporters should help Hillary Clinton pay off her campaign debts. She ran her campaign into the ground long after it was dying and on life support, long after every schoolboy could see the numbers were against her. She's a hard-nosed animal and I'm glad she lost. As for her debts, she's got no one to blame but herself, and I don't see why Obama owes her a red cent.

No articles about obama and his Rezko connections. But plenty of space left to talk about clintons money. The republicans are now turning the focus from obama's policies to his history. Wait until they bring in the last 2 yrs worth of into.
They have his birth certificate i'm sure. I'm wondering if they have those "Tapes" that those rotten clintons wouldn't release. She didn't destroy obama by going negative like she could have.
He better be nice because i'm sure she still has those tapes. The repubs could buy them from her and get rid of her debt. i'm sure they are worth millions. -

I have been told that Hillary's brother has monopoly on a cell phone service in a certain poor island because the clinton's reinstated an ousted president. The island is not even allow to use their own phone company. I wonder what cut would be for such a favor? They could hide the profits in a blind trust.. The blind trust that they are trying to disolve regardless of penalties. I'm not saying the money (if any) is in there. I always wanted to know more about this deal and there is never any mention of it. They probably can use that money right now if they haven't already.

it amazed me about her would preach...i'll fix the economy, i'm the one with experience, i represent the working class, i'll be ready on day one. how are you going to fix the economy if your primary campaign tanked $25 million? how are you the one w experience and you get upstaged by a black, junior senator, who's middle name is hussein and whose last name rhymes with osama and you were the 'inevitable' nominee? this should have been easy for her. how do you claim to represnt the working people when you loan your campain $11 mil? if the average working person loaned anybody $11 mil, their great grandchildren would be homeless. how are you ready on day one when you're constantly playing catch up? she was full of inconsistancies. if she had humbled herself and strategized more effectively, she would've won.

The Dems don't owe her a dime. She pushed it too far and got burned.
Does that remind you of someone? The burning 'Bush' perhaps?
Let her campaign declare bankruptcy and stick it to the american people. She, of course, cannot claim to be bankrupt whilst sitting on a pile of gold. If the Clinton's are worth only $80 or $90 million next year instead of their reported $100+ million worth this year, tell me, is anyone going to feel sorry for them? NOT ME! -

Comment: If Hillary had withdrawn from the primaries when it became obvious that she could not win, she wouldn't be $22.5 million in debt. No one wants to fork over money to Hillary when she was too stubborn and too unwilling to face the numbers showing that she had no chance of winning. It was Hillary's idea to continue a futile campaign. This should be her debt to bear.

/aren't most of the drug addicts underprivileged? Call me hardnosed if you wish, but the man I was married to deciced he wanted to join the world of meth. He stopped working altogether and sold everything of his that he could, including his truck and his high-end camera. In the meantime he stole about $3K of jewelry from me and kept saying his buddy had to have taken it. Not to mention the boxex and boxes and collectible glassware that he also stole from me. Aside from being aware my jewelry was gone I did not know about the rest until after I booted him out. In fact, although I knew there was something different about him (weird behavior) I thought he was drinking vodka since I could not smell any booze. Drug addicts will steal everything from you that they can and refuse to get a job, at least that was my experience. I do not have sympathy for these people who make it a habit of living off of other people, be it a wife, husband, etc. THEY CHOOSE to take this route and do NOTHING to help themselves, I concluded he had been a drug addict all along (I married him at age 38 (both) since it did not take all that long before I noticed his odd behavior and involuntary twitches. Never having been around drugs, I had NO inkling of what he was doing. So, sorry, I have little sympathy for these folks. I will say this, tho, if my children had gotten into drugs I would get them the proper care and treatment. A husband? As I see it, husbands come and go, your children will ALWAYS be your children. -

Anyway, all Hillary has to do is write a book about her campaign. I'm sure she would get big bucks and it would be a bestseller.
---------------------------------
I don't believe Senator Obama is asking individual Hilliary donors for money; it is her big donors that Hilliary has asked to donate to Senator Obama's campaign to help get him into office so we have a Democrat as President. It's the same as Hillary not asking Obama's individual donors (those of us who donate small amounts monthly) for money. Obama however is asking us to help Hilliary if we can. Senator Obama and Michelle have each contributed the allowed amount of $2,300 to Hilliary. I believe Hilliary and Bill have done the same for Obama. It is all part of the political and electon ;process. Both Senator Obama and Hilliary have helped raise money for the party itself, that is part of their responsibility to the party. Governor Richardson, New Mexico, is hosting two fundraisers to raise money to help Hilliary. Whatever the fundraisers make will go to Hilliary, as I understand it. . -

-----------------------------------------
Charles, you would not vote for Senator Obama regardless of whether or not we Obama supporters helped get Hilliary out of debt. So don't try to say otherwise. My question to you, Charles and your fellow Hilliary lovers, WHY don't YOU help Hilliary get out of debt?? It appears for all the "Hilliary fans" she had, you fans were all talk and no action. The woman was broke by the time she got to New Hampshire and was never able to recover financially. She was continually running in the red. This is not "trashing" Hilliary, it is a fact! At any rate, YOU PUMAs and Hardcore Hilliary lovers obviously did not help her out much during the primaries. Or maybe you just thought since they had so much personal money they did not need your donations for the campaign? Anyway, I still think it is pretty "bold" for Hilliary to ask Obama's supporters to donate to her to help her pay her campaign debts. We donate $10, $15, $20 up to $100-$200 just about every month. We send his campaign whatever we can afford, maybe it's $25.00 last month and $75 this month. We cannot afford to donate money to Hilliary's campaign too. I am not going to eat Top Ramen for a week or two while she is dining in the most expensive restaurants in NY and DC., -

I clearly see and understand why many feel there is no way they can help pay off the Clinton's campaign debt, especially when you look at the Clinton's earning potentials. They can make up the lost in a couple years. But there is another side that is rather hard to ignore.
That other side begins with "Little Super Tuesday'???.
Senator Obama picked up 11-straight victories before Senator Clinton torpedoed him with everything including the kitchen sink on Little Super Tuesday. On that day Hillary won 3-of-4 state primaries. But even with those wins she was still behind in: (a.) total votes nationwide, (b.) pledge delegates, (c.) most money raised, and (d.) most states won. The only edge Hillary had at that time was the most number of Super Delegates.
When it was clear by the end of March that Obama was now winning the Super Delegates and Hillary failed to convince the Super Delegates to come to her side, , , , than it should have been obvious to Hillary that the math was against her.
Instead, Hillary continued to plow into a lost cause, and accused everyone for trying to end "her race for the people". It was over in March and she knew it but would not accept it. So she kept on spending good money and getting further into debt. And for this reason, a lot of people have a real problem paying off Hillary's debt, especially when she "recklessly gambled" $22-million over a three month period for a cause everyone knew was lost. Hillary should have done what most other campaigners do when their campaign run out of money, , , , , QUIT! -

I trust Bill will not be charging the Obama campaign if and when he campaigns for him. I believe Hillary dreams of the presidency are over but they have enough time to groom Chelsea. If they have the smarts I think they do they will not only support Obama fully but ensure it is perceived as such. Support Obama wholeheartedly for his two terms and use this period to groom Chelsea. Blacks would appreciate this and rally behind Chelsea when the time comes. A sure way to win back the black vote.

Why doesn't Hillary go work with McCain and liven up his campaign before he tanks early? She could advise him (along w/ Bill) on all those crafty lies and dirty tricks that she used against Obama and perhaps spark up more controversy and interest in his campaign? God knows he's boring us all to death. Hey! Maybe she should be on his ticket as MCain's VP - that would make HUGE news and she could probably step in as President a lot sooner than she could if she were Obama's VP.
The Clintons could rule the US and the world - just think, our first Lady President would be a Republican, which is what I suspected all along this year. The Clintons could revitalize the GOP and stir up things a bit with some sex scandals. God knows it would be more interesting than the news of real criminal activity perpetrated by the Bush Administration. Sex always trumps true crime in any news story....-
Posted By: olderwiser @ 07/30/2008 8:23:23 PM
Actually, Hillary and Bill did work for Mc Cain in the later desperate phase of her campaign when they swore to her followers that Mc Cain was a better candidate for president than Obama. It was part of their plan to bomb Obama so that he couldn't beat Mc Cain in order that she could run against a soon to be senile president Mc Cain in 2012. It still might be their plan, as they haven't lifted a pinkie for Obama except to ask him to repay their loan that they made to themselves so that they could try to help Mc Cain against Obama in the primaries. This fits the definition of "chutzpah", defined as a man asking the judge for mercy in his murder case because he is an orphan, having just been found guilty of murdering his parents. The Clintons were proud of saying that politics is a contact sport. Now, the contact that they refer to is contact with Obama's donors' money in their pockets. Whew!

Are there legal limits to how much any individual or corporation can donate to a presidential campaign? If so, then something doesn't smell right....
It appears that if Hillary needed more money from a corporation that already donated to the max, she would just have them hire Bill for 6 times more per speach than the year before.

I suppose all the rest of his conquests were Rep operatives, too. What's truly scary about this story is that they can amass such amounts of cash from some individuals throwing it at them. Anyone coming out of the Presidency of the United States with $20M in legal bills is highly suspect, hell, highly dangerous. And then they want somebody else to pick up their debts. Just now hoping Barack isn't harboring any thought of picking her for VP; I don't think he does.
