    If I were an American military commander in the middle east, I would instruct my troops to take whatever measures are necessary to protect themselves. I don't care if the woman is covered head to toe in horseshit....she's gonna be searched for a bomb. You don't like it? Fine...we'll bring all our troops home and your country can go to hell in a handbag.

    Oh yeah the old "Was Christianity a religion of Peace"....that was Catholicism and the other cults pulling that...read the pope. But you will believe what you want. All anyone has to do is open a newspaper, turn on the tV or listen to the radio to see the butality that Islam is doing to anyone not their own.

          Really?! That would be news to the millions of Christians in this nation, whose politicians swear in on the BIBLE! Our nation does its best to maintain a separation of Church and State, but the sad truth is that this is a sham. As long as presidents and congress argue "moral" issues like abortion and gay marriage we will not have this separation.

      I have a feeling that this conversation isn't going to go anywhere but I'll try anyway. If you're ANY kind of Christian, the Crusades ARE your history because all forms of Christianity branched off from those Catholics. But if you want to deny them and absolve your religion from any kind of connection with the crusades, try to deny that there were still many acts of violence, done by Protestants, in the name of their God. Manifest Destiny? Remember that from your history class? Trust me, with as many Muslims as there are in this country, if they all wanted to kill you we'd be in a lot worse shape than we are right now.

        I'm of no religion at all; so I do not pretend to know or care what you are talking about with your Christianity/ Crusades comparison. I was simply stating that C.A.I.R.'s position that, "Islam is a religion of peace" ought to be examined in light of current events involving India's Mujahideen bike bomb carnage for a recent example.

    There have been cases when the female sucide bomber has been raped, dishonored or some other "sin". Then they are then convinced that by becoming a sucude bomber the "dishonor" will be removed from their family. Just as there have been cases where sucide bombers were hiv positive and used as low tech bio-weapons. I could go on and on and on and on...

    Sorry but you would not have a religion today without the catholics who started it and kept it going for centuries. Because of this, you have to accept the sins of the fathers of what you believe. Even Martin Luther was a catholic monk. By the way, that morman offshoot marries children to grown men. So protestants do it too. They also have multiple wives at the same time. Just like in the bible where you will also find child brides and women married against their will.

    Don't believe the Islamists cry that the Christian Crusades are the cause of Muslin hatred of all things Western. Muslin Armies invaded the Christian countries around the Mediterranean in the 640's conquerring by sword all of Palestine, North Africa, Spain and southern France. The Crusades were a long overdue counter attack to the Muslin conquest. Many of those woman suicide bombers are mentally ill, Downs, or retarded. Others are under threat of Honor Killing by their men for some family disagreements. So they chose to kill to redeem themselves. To defeat woman bombers all we have to do is look under their veils. No hiding behind their religion.

    To call either the women or men suicide bombers "astute warriors" is a gross misrepresentation. They are nothing more than cowardly thugs. They are less than civilised and i no longer have sympathy for any of them.

    Same old tired argument...Was Christianity a religion of peace during the Crusades and the Inquisition? ...that was the pope and catholicism involved....don't tar us with that cultic bunch. Today the newspapers, tv, radio and the internet all attest to the monster that Islam is.

      I might have to agree with Uriah; Really what kind of religion allows a girl of 8 years named Nujood Ali of Yemen to be married to a man of 28? Fortunately the girl was allowed to become a divorcee thanks to a very kind Sharia judge who only made her repay the dowry. Poor Nujood complained of being raped by her husband and beaten. The only thing that makes her case unique is that she had the audacity to ask for a divorce. Apparently, it's okay to marry an 8 year old according to Islam because Aaisha, Mohammed's favorite wife was 6 when she married, and 9 when the marriage was consummated. Nice culture, nice religion, nice judge. A picture of Peace.

    That is a ridiculous comment. Was Christianity a religion of peace during the Crusades and the Inquisition? Or during the forced conversions of indigenous peoples everywhere to Catholicism? This coming from a Catholic person (albeit non-practicing). Point being, any religion can be twisted from something positive and peaceful to something negative and destructive.
