Go GWB! Practice what you preach and pump some money into our slumping economy and failing real estate market you helped create. And as you head out of DC...don't let the door hit 'cha where the good Lord split 'cha!

The poor educated liberals don't care if someone's successful, it's the stupidity that's annoying. Those liberals are just rotten to the core, huh?

you really think this is news worthy? their are people that cant pay their mortgage and may not have a place to live..people have lost loved ones and cant afford burials....and you really think its news worthy to tell the world about the new home and cost of the home the Bush family is purchasing after they leave the White House?
At the cost of us, at the cost of our soldiers in Iraq...that have giving their lives and are still putting themselves in harms way??? Thank you for the last 8 years...Mr. Bush and family......."NOTHING"

Comment: "Auslander, as required by law, Bush divested all of his oil assests before he took office. As did Cheney and all the members of Bush's cabinet. They haven't profited from the rise in oil prices. You are an idiot."

All Bush and Cheney had to do was move owner ship of their oil interests to a family member or they could use the Enron method of using numbered accounts rather than names. If you think Bush and Cheney has not benefited than perhaps you would explain how Cheney's income in 2006 was 1.6 million and in 2007 it was 3.2 million. And that doesn't take into account KBR who moved their office to Dubai and the profits are deposited in secret accounts in the Cayman islands.

If you think Bush and Cheney have not profited handsomely then I have a few bridges to sell you, most are fixer uppers but affordable.

Well, I'm sure that in a few more months there will be a lot more foreclosures that they can go through to see if they are suitable for their tastes.

    you sir are an idiot.

if the bush regime hadnt changed so many laws to protect they're people i might give that comment credit. they have very very very protected investments that we will never know about. why do you think bush likes hanging out with the saudis? laws dont apply to politicians, that is something that history has shown. very few powerful politicians ever feel any heat. they're kids dont have to go to war, they all get into good schools regardless of intelligence (bush), they all can cheat taxes both legally and illegally because they are protected. hes in the same tax bracket that he gives such a big break to. AAAHH DUUUHHH....that house was practically paid for right out of my pocket, the last eight years of my working life. why are you attempting to defend a president that screwed so much up? why defend someone who only within the last year talks of l"leaving his legacy"? why defend a man that cares not about your privacy rights, your civil liberties, or your economic stress? yeah thanks bush for that great stimulus check, really helped me for ohhh, say 1 car payment and a trip to the grocery store!! thanks!! great way to stimulate!! 2 faced, stubborn, arrogant, babbling, cant think for himself crook. i dont care about seperate parties, liberals, socialists, democrats, or republicans, every politician has lied in one way or another to reach a seat of power. bush doubly so...
so really, who cares where he rests his head? im just happy its not in the white house anymore...

Really, they should not rule out the nearby metropolis of Fort Worth. There are still many cowboys who live there and this fits himself well, being the national cowboy for just a few more months now. Also, a really neat feature of Fort Worth is that there is a vast underground store of natural gas underneath the city and the Ex Pres can actually lease his front yard and draw enough gas royalties to pay for his house in a short time. He can try again to be an authentic Texan, which really hasn't been done yet. Too much fake. All hat. No gas well. No cattle. Just a dull chainsaw that he used to try to cut brush with in the early days of office before people caught on that he really is not a good brush cutter. Didn't cut it, really, at all. Get a good home and rest a while. Give us a break. We have barely survived your service in office.

Details, details. No need to get near the library. Doesn't read. By the way, the library needs quite a few privacy baffles around the outside walls, since many visitors plan to only stand outside and pee on the wall and then go on about their business. Faith based library, located at a Methodist College, so you need some kind of a cleansing booth at the entrance for worldwide visitors who might have problems with a Christian religious building. But, I digress. The dwelling needs something better than a basement for the lifetime secret service people who will live in residence. Shame on the basement quarters. Cold, dank, moist in winter. They are not servants, but professional protectors of a former head of state. Shame on the basement quarters. Next, there should be an "eagle filter" placed before the front windows, since many visitors from near and far wish to drive by and give the sign of the eagle, known in lower quarters as the finger. Little too coarse for the goodly former first lady who doesn't deserve this. Hope this helps. Probably rule out those old "fixer uppers" in the olden silk stocking areas. The fixup usually winds up costing more than the inflated price paid for living there. Rotted wood, termites, leaking basements with sump pumps for when it rains too long. Just let me know if you need any more help on this.

Oil company profits are driven by supply, demand, and speculation at both the oil and gas levels. Bush has supported drilling in places opposed by Democrats whether it be Alaska or off-shore. Oil supply, check. Bush has favored the building of new refineries to increase gasoline production. Gas supply, check. These attempts have been blocked by liberal leaning states. So Bush has supported things that would lower oil and gas prices and could potentially decrease the profits of big oil companies. Oh, and there???s the war in Iraq that has stabilized Iraq???s oil production. But it is still Bush???s fault the gas prices are high so he can make money off stocks his tax return shows he doesn???t own. That???s right, though, all his stocks are in the dog???s name. Those tricky Republicans.

Wearing skepticism as a badge of honor when the answers of which you are skeptical are simple doesn???t give you the appearance of intelligence you think it does. It makes you look like a paranoid loon.

Actually I think you have some good arguments (except for the parts where you choose to hurl insults rather than defend your argument). But my original email was meant, at least in part, to be tongue-in-cheek, not literal. I'm not sure what is gained by bringing up broad, vague categories like "liberals" and "Republicans." I haven't accused Republicans of anything. In fact, I don't consider Bush (or Cheney) to be a good example of a Republican--they are certainly not fiscally conservative, nor are they outstanding in the area of communication and diplomacy the way Reagan, and even Nixon, was.. At any rate, I have no allegience to either Democrats or Republicans.

The " Longhorns" home is Austin, home of The University of Texas, not Dallas. Bush would not find as many red supporters in Austin as he will in Dallas.

Good! The sooner we get that flim-fkam man outta DC the better!! But I extend my sympathy to Dallas!! With the giant mess he has created here in the USA and the fact that he has very few friends on the international who gives a rip snort whether he has his house in Highland Park? I's shudder to think that he and Laura would be my neighbors!! Why don't they just go to Crawford ad stay there?

  • Posted By: tee kaa 1 @ 07/31/2008 12:13:23 PM

Good!! Washington's gain and Dallas's loss!! He has almost ruined this economy and how dare they flaunt their lavish life-style after the mess he has made in the USA. I'd go hide somewhere with my approval rate down to 29%!! I guess that it is obvious that I have no love lost or RES--PECT for the "non flashy" lifestyle of Mr. Bush!! Low keyed my foot!! Give us all a break!!!

Law?--What does that have to do with anything? I would have assumed that they are smart enough (that is Cheney and well, not Bush, but at least his lawyers) to have figured out a way to manipulate the necessary loopholes to protect their financial interests. At least I'm a skeptical idiot, rather than a naive one.

I understand frustration with policies. I understand that there is a disdain for war. I share that as well. However, displaying hate for a person because they are powerful? Hate for somebody who has a different political view? How about trying to unite people for positive change, and not spread the hateful dividing change being pushed out there by Michelle Obama! BTW, I'm just curious which high-school blog you copied your post from?

With the new type architecture Bush will infact decide to build their new home from scratch.,,,Already I understand he's invited the archictect of those new building designs in china.,,,It will have 50 rooms,,,be constructed to look like a giant bullit proof vest ,,,,it will be on wheels and jet-assisted to do zero to 60 in three seconds flat.

How convienient for him. His tax-cut-and-spend policies have driven gas prices up while also driving housing prices down. Being an oil man, the huge dividends he' slikely to get should put him in the position of having more money to spend (at the expense of the rest of us), and provide him with the opportunity to get more house for his money (also, come to think of it, at the expense of the rest of us)! Life's wonderful!
