  Comment: I first read about the murder of the two black couples in the Georgia backwoods from an article in the Times Sunday magazine a few years ago. The London Times, not the New York Times. The article was long and detailed on the incident, the follow-up police 'investigation', and had black and white photos of their bodies on the coroner's office slab tables.

  Comment: So far all I see is the same old, same old, defining the South by race when it doesn't always come down to that. Here I am a white, 62 year old woman, a Southerner by several generations before the Civil War who plans to vote for Obama because I think his policies are better for the country; and, I know several white Southerners who plan to do the same although I will admit it is still pretty "red" down here.
