Its not often you see a grown man so fickle and catty. He should write for Us Magazine. Im wearing a pair of Crocs right now, its good for my plantar fasciitis.

Its not often you see a man so fickle and catty. I guess its better than filling Newsweek space with more typical liberal propaganda. By the way, I'm wearing Crocs right now, they're good for my plantar fasciitis.

Oh, and by the way, I don't have any problem getting laid.

Go, Dorkin! So, you get in a little mattress mambo with your Lutheran wife before church and are making Croc-sporting Dork babies. I don't shag married men, but even if you have some sob story that you're divorced now or a widower, I still wouldn't do you even with another woman's cootch. Seriously. BTW - God really DOES care what you wear to church. That funeral you wore your Crocs to? You're burning for that one, pal. How do I know? Joseph Smith REVEALED it to me, so question not and just accept your fate - maybe go on a Booze Cruise with the Vikings and lighten up a touch, eh? Methinks you could use a pint or better yet, a yard.

oh i love the comments below.....i agree with you ,sir. i laugh out loud at people who wear them. If i wanted to make shoes out of WIFFLEBALLS i would have....back when i was at an age when that might have been acceptable....maybe age 6. i say we organize a "crocsburning" and get high off the fumes of antibacterial foam.

Little known fact; strippers in L.A. now where Crocs whilst pole dancing. No, really. Any idea how sore their feet get dancing eight hours a day? Crocs are the answer. Clearly.

Make that "wear". Je suis tres fatigue.

I second all the Croc haters. Gross.

You're a talented writer. I'm not a fan of Crocs myself. As a matter of fact, I found myself nodding in agreement throughout most of your article. There is, however, one topic that I disagree with and that is of "high-heeled Croc." I googled them and honestly, they don't look that bad. The designs are cute and the only flaw is that they look as if they were made of foam or something else malleable. They don't even have those funky breathing holes! I think it's the holes that bug me most, and perhaps you too. Did you know they made cellphone cases too? Just wondering... =]

I love my Crocs and will wear them whenever I want and I could care less what other people think but making fun of other people walking by with one's young son isn't right.

oh my freaking god.... quit bitching about crocs.... their just some stupid ugly shoes. and no one wants to hear you whine and complain about shoes that you haven't even worn yet. seriously, i wore the sketchers ones all over disneyland, and that was a lot of walking to do in one week, and they were amazing. they were "VERY COMFORTABLE" to walk in. and they're not heavy at all, so you don't drag your feet as much. people have other problems in their lives, and we don't want to hear you complaining over shoes. seriously, there are WAY more fashion crisis to worry about out there, but crocs?? come on. grow up.

Crocs are the ugliest things that anyone could ever have on their feet and I cannot believe they are such a hit with so many people. You look utterly ridiculous and you know there are always people pointing and laughing at you, and the thing that makes me hate them even more is the fact that you can get 'designer' crocs with stuff like your favorite baseball team or nascar driver! I am proud to never have worn a croc, and have never even thought about wearing one, I agree with you, this fad must be stopped!

I'm cracking up at people getting all upset over shoes. Seriously, there are much more things to be concerned about. Yeah, I do wear crocs. I have problems with my feet (due to chronic conditions) that make it painful for me to wear regular shoes. When I put on that first pair of crocs, I couldn't believe it. My feet didn't hurt! And I didn't have to pay $500 for an ugly pair of specially made orthodic shoes. So, sorry dude, but even if crocs do go out of style, I will still wear them. Unless something just as inexpensive comes along that is just as comfortable and looks a hell of a lot better than orthodic shoes. Ooh, hey I got it, make me some custom pairs of shoes in several colors that look good and are just as comfortable, and I'll stop wearing them. Start with me, then move on to all the other croc wearers, and maybe you'll just get your wish!

With all the other mayhem that goes on in the world, the type of shoes people wear is the least of our legitimate concerns!!!!

  • Posted By: ChemistryIsCool @ 08/06/2008 2:04:08 AM

With all the other mayhem that goes on in the world, who really cares what shoes people do or don't wear?

  • Posted By: gazer63 @ 08/06/2008 2:02:01 AM

I am a nurse and I wear Crocs. My feet don't hurt near as bad after a 12 hour shift as they did with other shoes. I don't wear neon or funky colors.....plain black, no charms in the holes. This is still America. We are free to wear them, you are free to hate them. I happen to love mine!!!

Crocs are the most comfortable shoe I"ve ever worn. They're not sweaty, the airholes make them the coolest shoe I've ever worn also. They're not ugly, they're just clogs and clogs have been around forever. If they're in a neutral colour, there's nothing wrong with how they look at all. The little decorations and outrageous colours and fur inside are great. They let you be as outrageous as you want to be. Why anyone should have a problem with them is beyond me. They cover the foot DECENTLY, unlike flip flops which force people to look at someone's toenails, gross....I don't care if you have the best pedicure in town, I don't want to see your toenails. As far as sexy, in a slender or fit person the clog style and generous width actually brings out the ankles and lower leg very nicely. Sexy people don't stop being sexy because they're wearing Crocs, use your heads if you're making those kinds of comments. I haven't stopped wearing all my other fashionable shoes but I consider my neutral Crocs very fashionable. I even have some in ballet shoe style and Mary Janes. Trust me, people still get laid while going about in Crocs. They have their place so get used to them.
