Well, here is something to think about...Bell bottoms were a fad and now they're back, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Care Bears were a fad and now they're back, Spandex was a fad and now they're back...Do you honestly believe that if the Crocs fad were to die today that it wouldn't return tomorrow, in 5 years, in 10 years!!?? i do NOT agree with that. people are different.God made us that way- DIFFERENT IS GOOD!!! who cares what people think. im a band geek, but when people tell me so i say " i know isnt that GREAT!!!'' cause its true. who cares what other people think? as long as you like it yourself than WHO CARES!!! besides God has a plan for ALL!!!!!

I think Crocs are right up there with Earth Shoes, in the 1970;s and Birkenstock's!! They are hideous!!!

Crocs, unlike this poorly written article, have a purpose. The person that wrote this story has obviously never tried Crocs or experienced how wonderful they are for aching feet. Why would he try them? This is just another example of a closed-minded someone whining about a topic they know nothing about. Oh, and teaching his child how to hate people that are different than you in any way. People are 'dorks' just because of their shoes? Wow, seems slightly xenophobic.

I too sit and watch how many idiots actually walk by wearing those hideous "shoes"!! I never thought that anyone else would enjoy the same "sport"! This epidemic has to stop, it is absolutely ridiculous! Kudos to your article and hopefully, it will hit home with some.

I agree with your point and how you went about explaining it. But I do have something I would like to tell the people complaining about your topic... A lot of you complain that there is more important things to write about other than "crocs are bad fashion sense", and honestly, there's more important things to read than something about "crocs are bad fashion sense". I sware, people just like to find things to complain about.

This is a joke article, right? I completely agree with Imgs. If you don't like crocs, don't wear them and stop complaining when you see others wear them. I guess the author could not find anything decent to write about. Pathetic journalism. I am a journalist myself, and this is the reason why people hate us. They are just plain ugly, and I was alway under the impression that a person's shoes said a lot about that person. Now we find out that we are surrounded by closet clowns. A scary thought.

It must be nice to sit at a desk all day and put your feet up. I agree that they are not easy on the eyes like high heels. As a teacher I rather have ugly feet than swolen ones.

I never thought a man would be so concerned with fashion... However, I am glad you wrote this article; it was humorous, witty and down-right true. Crocs are the most hideous (or near it) thing to ever hit the market. So, thank God for Steve Tuttle and his attempt to end this horrific, "dorky" epidemic.

HA HA HA HA! This guy and his little boy are absolutely hilarious! My 2 year old little girl adores her lined crocs and I would have to say they are absolutely adorable on her but I agree....NO GROWN PERSON should be caught dead in these shoes. They are AWFUL!

I completely agree with Secretbear. Crocs are the second only to Birkenstock's (especially when they're coupled with socks). Most of my aunts wear Crocs because they're nurses, and I can respect that, since they are on their feet for long periods of time. However, I also believe that Crocs should at least be confined to being worn only by hospital workers and the like, and not in public. I understand that people want to be comfortable, but there is a point where looking decent trumps being comfy. For example, wearing Crocs outside of the house is like a nudist walking into Walmart; just because the person is more comfortable that way doesn't make it acceptable in public.

I personally find it ridiculous that you invest your time writting an article like this. Like someone else said think about more important things because of people like you is why the world is so messed up and so materialistic. Seriously everyone can wear whatever they feel comfortable in and what the hell bothers you so much no one is forcing you to wear them! how about we stop paying attention so much to what people wear that doesnt make them better or worse than you nor does it solve world hunger ...think about it next time you go wasting people's time reading this.
