first of all, no one told you that you CANT WEAR THEM. All that steven tuttle is saying is that, in his opinion, they are ugly. Some of you people are so one sided. And by the way "smilingcesus" msn did not publish this article...newsweek did, so the next time you decide to bitch at someone for writing or portraying the way they feel about a subject, you should defineatly consider getting your information right.

I live in Boulder where those eye-stinkers were spawned....the things aren't just shoes, they're wall treatments. Listen to the kid....he knows an affront to Beauty when he sees one.

    Steve,

I was once one of you. A croc hater. I shuttered whenever I saw a hapless individual that might be wearing them. I consider myself a fashionista and plan vacations around ways to visit Prada Outlets internationally. Then a friend bought me a pair. Once I put those heavenly comforts on my feet- it was like Cinderella and the glass slipper. I started off trying not to wear them in public-"Only gardening and around the house" I said to myself. Then it was runs to the grocery store. Two weeks after I got them, I was walking around Georgetown in Washington, D.C. and looked down at my feet--it was then that I realized I was a goner. I had on the Crocs. They were so comfortable, I forgot to change into my Manolos before I left the house. I now own a pair of regular Crocs; the Croc thong flip flop, and the Croc MaryJane.

But seriously Steve, Have you ever tried them?

    Hey dip,

Did you know that Croc's recycles their shoes and sends them to children that don't have shoes at all. Why don't you write about something quasi-important.

I do have to say I agree with this story. However, I must tell you they have a great charity program. They recycle old Crocs and donate them to third world contries. The thought of some poor kids in a small village having "something" to put on there feet is nice. The color of them isn't so- it is the most disgusting shade of brown. Anyway, I do think they are hidious and I DO NOT own a pair! Just thought I would put that out there.

Beautifully said Steve!! I agree totally. I tell the people i know who wear them how stupid they are and they try to defend themselves and always lose. They are freaking gross spongy plastic!!!! I think the people who wear them just have ugly feet and toes and this is a way for them not to wear sandals so no one can see there gross feet.

I also do not own crocs! but this is the dumbest and most illogical/emotional display of having nothing better to do with your time. i think the author should be trying to get laid himself as he so bluntly put it! I can't believe MSN put this article as an actual front display....

  • Posted By: ashely99999 @ 08/05/2008 5:41:42 PM

Ok........ what's up with people telling people what to wear? Maybe I don't like your shoes, but do I tell the world? NO. So just STOP telling people what to wear! And whatever happened to "It's the inside that counts"? Has it turned in to "It's the shoes that count"? Wow what has this world become?

  • Posted By: wiseroption @ 08/05/2008 5:40:07 PM

Hehehehe.....CROCS have the equivalent fashion statement of an extremely overweight , middle-aged woman wearing a hand painted tee shirt or a tee shirt with kittens on it. AAARGH!!!! and I'm an overweight middle-aged woman, but dang..... I can't seem to force those sad, ugly things on me, even if you paid me!!!

  • Posted By: ashely99999 @ 08/05/2008 5:39:03 PM

Ok what's wrong with wearing crocs? Maybe I think Orange T Shirts are ugly but I don't tell the world they CAN'T WEAR THEM. Maybe I hate your shoes........it's not like I tell you that.

  • Posted By: santabarbaradianne @ 08/05/2008 5:38:20 PM

The first time I saw the Croc styled shoe was on prisoners being led to jail on a t.v. documentary----so it was amazing to see them become a major fashion item. I still don't like the looks of most of the Croc styles yet I own a pair to wear around the house or at the beach. The problem is that many people don't wear them in a fashionable way--e.g. they wear them with socks and a mis-matched outfit. But this is what you see all over the place with every kind of shoe so it's better to just ignore people's fashion faux pas or you'll make yourself out to be way too judgemental--as is this article writer is.

  • Posted By: dogfriend @ 08/05/2008 5:38:05 PM

What a jerk. If you don't like them don't wear them. Don't bore us with your stupid rant and don't poison your kid's mind regarding people who have different taste.

  • Posted By: smilingcesus @ 08/05/2008 5:37:45 PM

I think your comment is quite absurd given the fact that your whole article is based on your emotional opinion on "fashion." Personally i think you have nothing better to do with your time and should be trying to get laid yourself, and you bluntly put it. If you have nothing better else to do than to ramble, go rent a movie or something....i also do not own crocs, but your article is just a hate message. how did msn even publish this crap
