to all the people who commented before me. if you are such supporters of crocs, then why would you waste your time reading an article AGAINST them? and you all know that many people feel prejudiced about Crocs, this author just brought it to light. and, use spell check if you want to sound smarter than the author. and yes, i think crocs are ugly and i am embarrassed of knowing anybody who owns a pair.

I do have to agree with you. However, I do have to say they have a great charity program. They recycle old, run down Crocs, and ship them to third world contries. Perhaps, a child in a little village in Africa has something to put on his feet for protection, and I am sure he is saying the same thing, THESE ARE THE UGLIEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SAW!!! To make matters worse, when recycled, they become the most disgusting shade of brown.

CROCS have the equivalent fashion statement of an extremely overweight , middle-aged woman wearing a hand painted tee shirt or a tee shirt with kittens on it. AAARGH!!!! and I'm an overweight middle-aged woman, but dang..... I can't seem to force those sad, ugly things on me, even if you paid me!!!

While you're at it please write an article encouraging men to ban tightey whities, as an underwear option, after the age of 12. Those also won't get you laid. You must not have a life for complaining so badly about people wearing crocs. What is it to you? So what if people like to wear crocs. It's their business, that's the great thing about America. The sad thing is that you got paid for writing about something so stupid as complaining about crocs. No one is forcing you to wear crocs. This isn't just a problem in America! My husband and I saw crocs for sale in Italy on our honeymoon. They were for sale in the so called "fashion capital of the world". I can't believe people actually think these look good. However, If you look back in fashion history, we have made many mistakes and we look back and laugh. It will just be a matter of time before we all look back and laugh.

Ever since I saw the first pair of crocs at a some store, I thought: "wow there's a pair of germs and bacteria incubators that will rot your feet, nobody would buy those" then I was slapped in the face by the fact that now every person in the US has a pair. But my heart goes out to the writer because thankfully I don't live in the US so I don't have to see them everyday :)

Now, i hate the bloody, Crocs, because they are butt ugly, certainly a turn off; and I actually thought tyey were a Dutch invention becaue they look like the local wooden shoes( and walk just as weird>). Comfortable or not, would you wear a loose woven paper ??bag because it was comfy too? Ypud look like a potato sack- ant crocs have the saeeffect. yes, i am a fashoin person;and I do have right to criticise; and so far hasn'tbeen off the point. Now, if you wanna cross a wetland, or hideaway in the country- where potatoes are welcome- go for it. But they guy is right- you might just wear slippers to work- its too comfotable!

haha i totally agree with you, my grandfather actually bought me a pair for my BIRTHDAY i almost cried, my boyfriend took me to the mall so we could return them and they actually have entire stores devoted to selling these hideous "shoes". we walked into the store and as he looked around the only words that came out of his mouth were "Wow. There IS a hell."
