While I'll admit that crocks are the prettiest things to look at , take it from someone who is on their feet 20 hrs. aday. Crocks are very comfortable and you don't really give a flying fig what they look like when you have alot of work to do and your only into hr. 10
Hello people....who cares that you don't like the article...don't waste your time reading it!! Some of you probably wear those ugly shoes, that's why your offended. I don't like the shoes because they are for NURSES...duh, who wants to walk around looking like they just left a hospital. And he is not a bad father...everyone in some way shape or form teaches their kids to judge people. Don't complain...now that is whats truly wrong with America, complain to damn much!! Haven't you all heard "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say nothing at all"! He gets paid for writing...so in turn he doing his job....people wake the Hell UP!
Wow, I never thought someone could get there panties in such a twist over little rubber shoes. Who cares about just another fad for mindless shoppers to jump on? Apparently... you. Well what about, "W.W.J.D. bracelets? Or how about Soccer Mom's with "Purple" streaks in their Hair? You got too much time on your hands if you can just sit around counting American Tourists and their foot fashions... How about next time you count the amount of "Air Jordan's" or "Chuck Taylors", the amount of "Little White Keds" you see or "Flip-Flops"? Get off your soap box, tell your kid to be less judgmental as you and get a flippen clue.

pretty funny article! No matter what other people say, CROCS are still ugly and some are so gosh darn expensive!

I can tell the author has never had a job where he or she had to be on their feet all day. I have to stand on bare concrete floors all day, an my feet and legs never hurt when I wear my Crocs. I really don't give a flip what other people think. They ARE comfy! Get over yourself.
All I can say, is that I thought they were "ugly" too, but our son has very wide feet and these shoes are light and flexible, yet protective (exactly what's recommended for a child's growing feet) and they cost much less than other shoes (which tend to be to be either too flimsy and poorly made, or to too heavy and stiff and then much, much more expensive!)--so we've been wholeheartedly converted. Originally we just got them for my son, but then I became curious too because he was so much more springy on his feet and loved wearing them so much. I bought a pair to wear in the house during the winter, and, YES, Crocs are super-comfortable (more so if worn with socks), lighter than air, and are definitely the best house shoes/slippers I've ever owned. They are so comfortable that I forgot I had them on and headed out to the store one day... the rest is history.
You are not a good father making your son call people dorks and you're proud of him for saying that..Have you ever wore crocs before?.. Probably you should buy crocks wear them for awhile and then write this article..If they are comfortable and people like to wear them why let that bother you. Please get a life and stop writing articles that don't make any sense..croc hater!
Well done! I don't care how comfy they are, they're hideous! And I can't believe people are actually getting offended over this. I'm seriously trying to hold in my laughter in my quiet office. I never really understood Crocs and thank god have never fallen victim to the craze. Thank you for putting into words how I'm sure many people feel (or should feel) about these abominations. Thanks.

Funny...I guess I would probably look better hobbling around with podiatrist accoutrements or better, have surgery for a problem that was resolved because of my Crocs. And if I maintained the plantar fascitis for the sake of not wearing Crocs, the flip flops would certainly make me feel better...well ay least look better. You need to get a life...if its not Crocs I'm sure you'll find something else to complain about. Pick on something really frivolous next time;)!
Hahaha. Oh my God, this article is brilliant and made me laugh out loud. I am firmly on the Crocs hating bandwagon! Thank you for being a voice of reason in this Crocs obsessed world.
You spend 8+ hours on your feet and see how comfortable these shoes really are. In a medical setting, where I am on my feet all day, crocs are the only shoes that I have found that don't cause my feet to be in so much pain by the end of the day that I can barely walk out to my car. Any other shoes I have worn make my feet feel like wet bricks by the time I get home. I do not wear them to the mall or other locations, except when I am still in my scrubs. But to be honest are any other nurses style shoes any better looking than Crocs? It is no different than the flip-flop epidemic out there. Or the "heelies" that are tearing kids ankles and feet up. I have seen 8 year olds come in with ankles and feet that are like 80 year olds because of the wrong angle and stress put on their still developing joints and bones. Those are the ones we should be ranting against. Parents are causing more joint problems for their children than most of the elderly have.
At least I now know who the parents are that teach their children that it is okay to make fun of others and tease them. That makes for wonderful bullies as they grow up. Teaching your children the way to treat others is one of our duties as parents and you are obviously doing a very poor job.
I'm no slave to fashion but when crocs came out I thought, Ooh those are ugly! Big deal it''s my opinion. So I nerver tried on a pair until recently when my daughter grew into my shoe size . I had to have my own. Good thing I don't care what you or anyone else thinks is a stylish shoe.
Crocs never bothered me until the people I worked with in a nursing home started telling me how comfortable they were and hounded me to get some for myself. I thought they were ugly, and didn't want to, but I thought I should have an open mind, maybe they were as great as they said they were. I tried on a pair of bright pink ones that gagged me. I walked three feet and off they came, I have never put on another pair. They are too flat, no arch support at all. If I wore them for an extended period of time, they would kill my feet, and maybe even give me corns. I don't know how anyone can wear them. I was very relieved when the man who owns the nursing home where I was working made a "no Croc" rule on grounds that they do not give proper support to the feet and can cause you to trip and get injured when in a hurry. They could still wear them to give showers, as shoes get wet doing this - I thought that was a good place for them. I still would
not wear them even to give someone a shower or in my garden. I wear hiking boots in my garden - I like to dig with a shovel and I don't think a Croc would last the way I jump on my shovel, I'd go through 4or 5 pairs in a month. I heard that most of the hospitals and nursing homes have banned them because they are bad for the feet. I am not sure if that is true or not, but it would not surprise me. I really don't care what other people choose to wear on their feet, as long as they don't try pushing their bad choice of foot wear on me, which I found most Croc wearers seem to do, they seem to have a mission to get everyone to wear them.
Not only are those animal looking shoes awful, but why are some so expensive???

Yeah I would say he does have a right to his opinion and to write what he wants.. we do have that right, weather or not I or anyone else likes or dislikes the shoes didnt even keep my attention while reading this. what got me is that someone allows there child to call someone a dork for what they wear. Are we not supose to teach our children to be there selves and not judge others for who they are? Who cares what other people speed there money on or what they wear. there are more important things going on in this world then what shoes the person or persons that past by you are wearing.
