You say they're ugly and you're tired of seeing so many of them. That''s your case? Sounds like you're angry about something else. Case dismissed.

Whether the guy likes crocs or not shouldn't be the topic. The artcile was just poorly written and I can't believe that it was even published. It would be like publishing an article about how mad you are over who won last years Rose Bowl. It's not timely, it wasn't funny and it borderlines on down right hateful. I hope his kid can take it when people make fun of him for having a goober dad, with a job writing about shoes.

I LOVE this. Please hug your son for me. He is a boy after my own heart.

ok people....yes, crocs arent the best thing in the world to look at, I would rather be looking at a pair of Jordans or something....but even so, these people are entitled to their own "fashion" and personally, when you see these people on the street, do you really know them? Are they doctors, nurses, or someone who is on their feet all day every day?? I know alot of nurses and doctors, who swear that Crocs have saved their feet, and they can worry about their patient more then how bad their feet would hurt if they were in tennis shoes, so please, before bashing someone for their "fashion", understand that they may not be the person to be on front of People Magazine or something, but one day, they could be saving your life, in Crocs....now that would be ironic :)

I do not now nor do i ever plan to own a pair of Crocs..They really arent comfortable at all, and I will gladlystick to either my MUDD sandals or just plain flip-flops, any day of the week!

ROTFLMAO! You people are too funny! That Crocs would commend a whole article shows the power of these comfortable footwear! I too, thought they were ugly, and yeah, I still think so. But the comfort of them far outweighs what they look like. I tried on some of the knock offs, and they don't compare to Crocs, and since there are so many new styles, it's even more fun. Plus, they can be "dressed up" with little "pins, so you can have new looking Crocs whenever you change the pins, or add them to your collection. Call me whatever names you want, I ENJOY the comfort these shoes bring my feet, and I hope they're around for a LONG, LONG time!

I was against until four month ago I walk into Costco they were near the check out line. I put my feet into it. That was end of my boycotts the Crocs. I wore it everywhere and everyday. My 18days of Asia trip, this was the shoes that I wore. There are six pairs for my family of three now.

Some people are so uptight. Get over it. It's an article & he's stating his opinion. Did you read the title before you read the article?? You didn't have to continue reading. & then you chose to take more time out of your life to complain about the article. DUH.
I LOVE this article!!! I agree 100%!!! I point them out with my kids too!! WTF are people thinking when they buy those things?!?!? I think they have passed up wearing socks with sandals on the ugly scale! I can't wait until these are a thing of the past.

I haven't had as much fun reading an article since I don't know when. What's so funny is you are nailing it buddy! I'm down with you. Did you have to call it a "fashion Chernobyl" ? I'm afraid so. Thanks for the article and the insight on " www.stuffwhitepeoplelike.com." Funny, funny, hilariously funny. I'm sending this to everyone in my address book. Yes! We CAN!

I understand this one person does not like the shoes. My husband and I do not wear them, but my 3 boys sure do. I buy black, brown and navy blue. Not crazy colors to look like a clown. When you live in the mountains and are building a home with mud all around these are the perfect shoe. They can be cleaned with soap and water, they dont stink or mold, and they are closed toed so their little toes dont get hurt. Who could ask for more? They are the greatest shoe ever invented. I was trying to clean brand new Nikes and expensive sketchers all the time. I was the type that only bought the best shoes out there. I designed clothes for a living and did well with it until the children came and I quit to be a full time mom for my now 4 children. I know fashion and the dark, understated colors are very fashionable and perfect for mud, running around in the water park or splash pad. I KNOW my family are not DORKS. I think it is sad this person is teaching his child prejudice against anything. My children are taught to love everyone equally. Who cares what color they are or what they have on their feet. Maybe he should get a pair and see how they can be utilized. For a mother of active children they are soooo great!!!! Keep making the crocs.

Ok, so Crocs arent the most attractive shoe in the world. I agree. But I work as a bartender, and am on my feet for 9-11 hours at a time. After trying, Nike's, Adidas, New Balance's, and even a "bartender's no slip tennis shoe", I have found that the only shoe that I can last that long in with out my feet aching is my ever so comfy crocs. They are convienent as well slip them on and your out the door, plus they make so many different colors and styles it just works. So until your feet are throbbing from working a manual labor type of job in a very busy and fast paced bar setting, dont knock them!!

I apologize, it seems I did not read other responses well enough. I see that others have already shared pretty much the same sentiments I have.

Some advice for all these people who thinks crocs are the most comfortable shoes they've ever worn...I assure you, skateboarding shoes are the most comfortable things you could wear [no, I don't skateboard]. I work long days on my feet, and when I'm not doing that, I'm trekking across campus. I'm serious. Go check into Vans, DCs, Etnies, or pretty much any other brand...They've got different styles/colors for all you crazy folks.

Did I mention they can sure take a helluva beating, too? Sure, they look just like regular tennis shoes; but they have excellent traction [great for jobs requiring slip-resistant shoes!] and are ridiculously comfortable.
Especially since I can't see many jobs actually letting their employees wear crocs. I'm calling BS on those of you who said you have.

And for those ranting that this isn't news. One: it's called an editorial. And two: neither are your stupid pictures of random kids belonging to random rich celebrities. Oh, and while I'm at it, how about three: Neither are any other detail of the lives of celebrities. Shame, eh? Half the news featured on news sites isn't news. So hush.

In the early 70's my then-wife talked me into buying a pair of multi-colored platform clogs. There is absolutely no accounting for taste in footwear. We are all fetishists in this area, and that tiny cult that worships "sensible shoes" has never been trusted or allowed to attend our hipster fadster parties.

They're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Insanely UGLY - I would NEVER wear them out trying to be "trendy" - it's so STUPID. Now with that said - I do Now own a pair of crocs. Wait, let me finish. I work in a restaurant and a decent pair of restaurant qualified shoes (that aren't the cheap wally world kind) are oh, $100 - VERY easily. So I came across these one day at a noteable shoe store and since my old ones were so old that they're tearing at the seams AND Heavy as cement blocks I thought I'd give them a whirl. Now the only reason why would be because they're about 60% cheaper than a decent pair of restaurant shoes - that and they (the evil crocs) are currently being endorsed by a very notable chef - also the Chef/restaurant crocs ONLY come in Black and White. Now with THAT part being said - I still hate crocs and think they're the ugliest things since bad '80's hair - wait, people stll wear bad '80's hair....must explain why some crocs come in highlighter yellow, highlighter pink, and highlighter green.

Friggin' hilarious! This is one of those articles I wish I had written, but would'nt have for fear of breaking the "forgive those who trespass against us" rule. This is one "something of a literary Andrew "Dice" Clay, David Spade, and George Carlin" piece of work. P.S. - Be sure to take your meds today!

I think that everybody should mind their own business. Who cares what other people wear? If they want to wear crocs then they can. If they want to wear shoes on their head, they can. It???s their lives and they can do whatever they want with it. I don???t love crocs or even own any and I don???t hate them either. So I???m technically not on a ???side???. I just think that people should be able to do whatever they want with their lives, within reason, and not be told that they have bad taste, look like dorks, or have websites about their decision whether it be bad or good. I mean, I don???t like the clothes that the famous models wear in those rich fashion shows but that doesn???t mean I waste my time writing a 2 page paper about it. People can think or do as they please. I think people should be able to do whatever they want, within reason, freely.
And does the father who wrote this paper have nothing better to do then waste time writing about shoes of all things? I mean, come on! There are a lot more important things that one can write about. You know, things that actually matter. I???m not judging, I just think that this guy should get his priorities straight and spend his time on more important things. Or at least write about more pressing or important issues. Especially since he???s a father, I mean I have time to do things like make comments on articles about shoes because I???m only 14 and am on vacation with nothing to do. But you would think a father of a child would have more important things to do with his time then write about dollar store shoes. Lol.
That???s all I had to say. This has been really fun. Thank you and have a nice life!????????????
