They are ugly as sin, I do agree, but they are so dang comfortable that I do wear them when bumming around the house on the weekend. They are also a GOD-send for the medical profession! Ever since I started wearing them during my 12-hour shifts as a nurse, my feet no longer ache. Now if they could only make them without holes AND not make your feet sweat at the same time, so OSHA will quit whining.

I agree that crocs are the most hideous piece of fashion to hit the market this centuary. When my cousin told me she was going on a canoeing trip and needed 'aquasocks' I couldn't believe what came out of my mouth "You should get a pair of crocs instead" I said. I mean, I guess if there's one good thing to say about them, at least they're better than aquasocks.

These things are the most comfortable shoes around! not to mention when you are on your feet all day...must admit though the company did get ahead of itself since you gotta put a shears to these puppies(ooops sorry Crocs) to get rid of them. But...I wear my large red swiss cheese doogies with pride..hey i like attention..and i do get it when i wear them....sometimes good, mostly bad, but definitely funny..all i can say is Crocs Rock!!!

I think Crocs are cute,comfortable and great for the casual day.... I don't think we have to be stuck with the PROPER fashion all the time,as long as you don't wear crocs to the GALA dinner party.

I don't care about your argument that it's comfortable. I think not wearing a bra and not wearing pants is great but I don't go out in public like that. No matter what anyone says, banishing Crocs is a very important issue. Don't be fooled by those liberals! LOL Just joking, I usually don't even notice people wearing crocs. Except when my husband points it out, because he knows how those shoes annoy me. But otherwise, live and let live. If they want to wear ugly shoes, then let them wear ugly shoes. Personally I do not own a pair of Crocs and don't really care to but who are you to judge other people? If you don't like them then don't buy them or look at other people wearing them. You seriously sound overly obsessed with Crocs. I don't understand how you trying to banish Crocs is so important, we have soldiers in another country losing lives and your big news article is about Crocs! A shoe that I can just slip on and go in a hurry. A shoe that I can clean and disinfect easily (as I work in the medical field). I think you need to get over your obsession with this croc thing. It's a little obsessive to say the least. Instead, just go buy you a pair and RELAX. It'll be ok. If you don't like them, just don't look. That simple.

Crocs take over the universe? I live in suburban Cairns, Australia and witnessed the sight of my life while out walking the other day. One middle aged dude, jogging towards me wearing a sports vest # 11, speedos, white ankle socks and yeah, you guessed it! irridescent orange crocs on his feet. I only wish I was a cartoon artist so that I could draw it for you all!

Hear, hear! I hate Crocs! I can not comprehend why people don't realize how idiotic they look. My grandma wears them when she gardens and ONLY when she gardens! At least she's smart enough to know they don't belong in public! What's really bad is when I go shopping with people and they see the baby-sized Crocs, they ooh and ahh over how "cute" it looks. I don't care how tiny they make the world's ugliest shoe, it's still ugly!

i didnt finish reading the article, because the title had me! i hate these shoes, they are so fugly! i dont care if you think they are comfy, they arent fashionable or stylish. every time i see someone wearing them, i think less of them. i watch in disgust as i see little kids wearing them in the supermarket. THEY ARE WHITE TRASH SHOES!!! and they should be burned. (this is obviously my opinion, i dont care what people think of what i say.)

Steve: Hands down one of the best articles that I've read concerning this ridiculous fashion statement. You had me laughing my ass off! Ever since these "eye sores" have been sold, I have been desperately awaiting the day that I could walk down the street in America and not see, or hear for that matter, these things plopping around.

Last December I had hopes in getting away from these things, at least for awhile, because I was waiting to get stationed outside of the States. Where all of places do I get sent to though? Holland! I leave the States just to end up in the country where the idea was taken from. As you can imagine, the Croc epidemic is in plague mode out here and all these "Dutchies" are so proud of how popular their shoes have become. I think this December I will be sent to Africa and I am fairly certain that I will be able to escape these things for at least a year.

Websites, blogs, and even Myspace and Facebook pages have been dedicated to eradicting these things. We need to continue this. For the first time, however, I have read an article from a credible source such as a newspaper. I am taking the initiative to forward this article to everyone I know so that it can get circulated to as many people as possible.

America, please continue to bash and hate on these things! Hopefully enough people will realize how ridicuous Crocs are and the company will go bankrupt. I come back to the States next December, and I pray that by that time next year I will be able to go outside without having to see these things.

And what's really sad is that he actually feels justified in doing so. Amazing. I'll bet he was that guy at clubs who called women *** for not sleeping with him. It's a shame that someone did and procreated with him. Children have to be taught ignorance ... and unfortunately, there are guys like him out there to do the job.
